World Cup 2026: Argentina vs Cabo Verde

My family and I had been eagerly anticipating our dinner at Bwon Shabu & BBQ, a restaurant I had bookmarked on Yelp for quite some time. On Friday, July 3, 2026, we arrived at the restaurant at 4:50 pm, just a few minutes before it officially opened at 5:00 pm. We placed our names on the waitlist and were promptly seated as soon as the doors opened. The meat was absolutely delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the self-serve side dishes and salad. By 6:00 pm, only half of the restaurant was filled with patrons, which was a pleasant surprise. We decided to order more meat, and it arrived promptly at our table. The customer service was exceptional throughout our meal. For two adults and one child, our bill came to $80, which was an incredible deal for a satisfying and enjoyable dinner. The restaurant has ample seating. Whenever you arrive, you'll be seated.

Came here because I was craving soup/shabu shabu but my partner didn't want soup and just wanted meat. The price is good and I like that they have an option where you can do the kbbq and the shabu shabu. We came here Sunday afternoon and it was not very busy. We were seated quickly. The restaurant is fairly big. There is a buffet section near the front of the restaurant. All the Korean side dishes are at the buffet. They had a fairly decent selection. They also had some hot items like egg rolls which were pretty good. They had radish paper at the buffet but it was oddly thick and crunchy. Only time I had radish paper that actually tasted like biting into a raw red radish. I did not like that for the shabu shabu they give you a prepared selection of veggies/soup toppings. They had the thick noodles which were not very good. I wish that they could have these items in the buffet so that you could grab what you want instead of getting this prepared tray. I also wish they had different noodle options. I did the beef broth and shrimp broth. The broths tasted watered down and were not very savory. The only upside was that the meat cuts were tasty. I think they have a good selection of meat items and would come back for the kbbq aspect of this restaurant but I would not recommend the shabu shabu part.

So glad we finally came back and gave BWON another visit. Over 4 years ago, it was still Covid times and dining out was still weird. Now, the buffet is open and sushi is fresh, the panchan is so much better, the bbq and shabu meat options are still great. The shabu broth options are still flavorful. Not sure if the happy hour deal is daily, but on a Friday from 5-6pm they give a 10% discount for HH! Staff is still super friendly. Service has also sped up as well. Oh, and they give marshmallows on a stick to toast over the flame and chocolate syrup to dip in for dessert. Yum! Just missing the graham crackers lol.

The environment is always lively and exciting. The staff is extra friendly and attentive, which is a plus. Our favorite so far is the bulgogi, as well as the salad and sushi roll bar. I also like that you can choose to have shabu along with your KBBQ-- honestly the best of both worlds. I've come here with a small group and just the two of us, and it's always been a great time. You can even add yourself to the queue on yelp ahead of time. Highly recommend to anyone who's looking for a good deal and yummy food.

After bringing my Son and his Friends to Knotts Berry Farm we decided to still have time together before bringing them home so we stopped by this Korean BBQ called " BWON SHABU & BBQ " , my wife decided to treat them extra by bringing them here to this all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ and hot pot. 8 of us got seated quickly all together at a long table. We ordered the AYCE BBQ and HOT POT combo. But my wife said we should have just ordered the BBQ ones and not with the Hot Pot because my wife and I are the only ones who ended up eating the Hot Pot, my Son and his Friends concentrated more on Grilling BBQs instead of their Hot Pot soup. Meat quality and taste were just okay not so wow about it but as I said it's just okay. Meat Potion arrives at our table always in good sizes, barchan or other side dishes you get up and get in your own. Service was fast and friendly but many errors in delivering what we ordered , maybe it's because only 1 server was serving the 8 of us, and at the same time he was also assisting other tables by himself. Parking is plenty around.

Got the menu B bbq. It was delicious! We ordered beef tongue, beef belly, galbi, marinated octopus, and cajun shrimp. All really good quality and tender. We'll be back! Oh! They even have cold noodles! Fun atmosphere! A little under staffed, but wonderful service none the less.

Great restaurant for Korean barbecue. We got the A+ version of the menu. It's all you can eat. We thought the food was really good. It's fun cooking it right there on the table in front of you. Also plenty of sushi and fresh veggies. We liked the little robot cart that brings the food to your table. Pretty wild.

I couldn't even focus on the food or surroundings because of how terrible our service was. The host was nice and seated us quickly after using their kiosk to check in. That is where the service stopped. We sat and when our waiter came we told him that we've never been here before so obviously we didn't know how the place operated. We went with young children who didn't know how to use chopsticks and chasing him down 30 minutes later for a fork. The bus boys didn't speak English so they weren't able to assist us. Any question we asked our server he answered like we were such a pain in his behind. The AYCE options and sauce bar was mediocre at best. Idk if I was disappointed with the food or just had such miserable service that I wasn't able to even remotely begin to enjoy the food. Definitely wouldn't go back.

Our server Brayden was on it the moment we were seated. He and the entire staff are friendly welcoming and make you feel happy. Always checking on us. The food is high quality and the soups bases are the best parts. If you like having a date night or a large family get together BWON is your spot. You can eat laugh drink and enjoy some sports games. Try the kimchi. Its amazing.

This is my 2nd time at this place. The food is good, banchans are tasty. The selection in their buffet station are all great! My 3 favorites in one place - soju, meat and TEOKBOKKI!!! We got a good service from Jonathan. Did not need to wait for a long time to be seated and to call him- feels like he is just behind me the whole time lol. Can't wait to come back!

Came in with my boyfriend tonight for a date night & it was DIRTYYYYY. Initially, the blonde haired host sat us at a dirty table when we first got there. Booth was dirty, table was dirty and had crumbs and sauce all over it and the floor looked really nasty and like it hadn't been mopped in weeks. Not to mention, there was an actual tray blocking the left entrance to the booth & the tray was covered with crumbs of food and the potato salad they save. The plates the host gave us when we sat down were also dirty (at this point we should've just left tbh).... But, I asked her if we can relocate to watch the hockey & soccer games on, in which she did move us closer but grabbed those same nasty plates with leftover food on them from the first table she sat us at and took them to the new table she sat us at. Anddddd, it gets worse that second table was also dirty and had kimchi sauce all over it and other sauces on it. the grill inside looked super unsanitary && like it was stacked with the day's worth of food in it. then, the floor once againnn!!!! I'm sitting there and my shoes are slipping and sliding on something underneath the table. At this point, I'm so grossed out I didn't want to look under the table with my phone flash light and see what it was. The table itself was also sticky on top and underneath and the booth again ‍ I really wanted to leave at this point, but my boyfriend insisted we stay. We had a clear view of the kitchen as well and there were workers touching fresh food plates with the same gloves they're using to bus/clean the tables with. Not to mention the food all over the floor in the kitchen. There were also "wet floor" signs all over the restaurant too- but it wasn't like a fresh mop, it was like the floors had a coat of grease to it. I'm surprised honestly no one slipped. The food was good but I didn't eat much because I was so grossed out at this point. Megan was honestly the only reason why we stayed, she really turned our visit around. Thank you Megan! && I want to state, I've been in the restaurant industry for over 15+ years now, and even when you "don't want to look at these things or notice them when you go to eat".... you just do... and I don't complain about a dining experience everrrrr. -unless there was something truly truly wrong. But I had to, maybe we caught Gen on a bad day, but hope it's not like that on our next visit :(

There is a small lot out front for parking, and I suspect you can park on the street when the lot fills up. We happened to come by during the Korea vs. Mexico game, and understandably, the place gets packed, with a line forming outside. We somehow beat the rush by about 30 minutes and were seated at a table as soon as we entered. We also realized then that they didn't have the all-you-can-eat option, so we ended up ordering the chicken wings, their version of loaded fries, and steamed rice. We also placed the order via the QR code. We had our drinks delivered to our table shortly afterward. The food, however, was taking a long time to get to our table. It may have been a combination of the FIFA World Cup and a staff shortage, but when we were there, there was only 1 kitchen staff member and 1 wait staff member. The lady on the wait staff did everything from serving food to accepting new customers and topping off water for all the tables. A wall separates the restaurant; there is a front room and an inside room, and both rooms had televisions broadcasting the game. The food itself was decent for the price that they charge. The chicken wings came out piping hot, crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. They have some options for different wing flavors. The fries were also delicious and well-fried. I hope the restaurant invests in more wait staff because there were times we needed something from the wait staff. Seeing how busy she was, or sometimes she's just in the front room, we haven't seen her in a while to get whatever we needed. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was good, and the atmosphere is very unique; it's definitely a nice place to get some Korean street food when you're in the area. The only things to note are that parking is limited, food will take a while to cook as it is made fresh, and there will be some waiting to be done if you need wait staff. Last thing to note: I love that they had some Korean Fusion dishes, and I wish I had a bigger stomach to try these as well during our visit, perhaps another time!

Average space in the sense it's rectangular & like any mom/pop hole in the wall. Menu was straightforward but could benefit from having a description in case you're not familiar (like my BF). * Service: the reason I'm docking by 1 star. My BF was eyeing some dessert when we were first ordering but she didn't try to sell it to us ‍ * Food: surprisingly good as it was both our first time there. He got the adobo bowl & the chicken was tender/juicy & pretty much fell off the bone. I got the tocino plate & the meat was flavorful with just the right amount of garlic in the rice. We also got one chicken skewer & one pork skewer, which was a bit smaller than I'm used to but the smoky flavor & tenderness was spot on. My only issue was the portion compared to the price. * Final Thoughts: mom/pop Filipino food that is great on flavor but leaves something to be desired with customer service. Would recommend & will return again for the food. * Final Grade: B+ or 8.5/10
