My car got a flat tire this morning and I called Bob's Towing Service. The driver of the towing truck, James Brandt, is a super nice guy. He found one nail on one of my tires and spent time to replace this tire with my spare tire. Then he added more air to the replacement tire, put the problem tire into my trunk, and suggested me to use it as a spare tire after it is repaired. From these details, I can feel his care and warmth towards his customers. I will call Bob's Towing next time when I need it. read more

Great service! I needed road side assistance for my motorbike. For the first time ever I got someone come out and take care of my vehicle within such short time. James was very professional and jump started my motorbike battery. He rides a motorbike himself and gave me some helpful riding tips. I had a good experience with this towing service company. read more

There are few things more frustrating than a broken down vehicle but my trusty Amex card comes with free roadside assistance and they hired Bob's towing as the third party company to come help me. The company quoted 55 minutes so we headed out so we could beat them there since my car had already been stuck at an off-beat venue off of Hwy 17 in Los Gatos for over a week. They were supposed to meet us at 9:09am and at 9:05am got a call that they canceled the job because it was "out of the area" which is odd because their location seems to be in Campbell which is less than 15 miles from here. So we had to wait an additional hour for the next tow truck. Bottom line, this place is unreliable and should have confirmed the location before taking the job. There are plenty of tow companies out there. read more

Bob's was sent out because my car wouldn't start while in my garage. Shannon was very knowledgeable and careful throughout the process. First, getting my car out of "park" to get it out of the garage and having a lowered Corvette she knew all the tricks to load it without any problems. I appreciate the extra care and effort she took to make sure that everything went well. She spent time to try to start my car but ultimately, it ended up getting towed. She was outstanding in every way which makes this situation a much more pleasurable experience. read more

Yesterday Walmart parking lot broke down stressed but your driver made me laugh and smile forget that I had any troubles and I appreciate your services. You guys number is locked in and if I ever need a tow again will diffently call you guys. Give that man a raise he knows how to comfort people when in need and I'm very thankful for his Help. read more

Scam... Got my car stolen a few days ago and the Campbell police told us the car was at Bob tow. So we got all the papers and went to their office and it was closed on Saturday. We then call the number and the lady was rude and told us to wait. We waited for one and half hour for someone to come and open the door. Then told us it was $485 to get the car back. They said $250 for towing the car. $150 to open the damn gate on weekends and $85 for each day the cars stay on their lot. They guy even say the police even know about the steep price. That f$/; up. Scam I mean it's bad enough to get your car stolen and now pay for the car which doesn't worth much. I mean how can they sleep at night. How can the city allow this!!! Again I would not go to BOB tow because it's a scam between them and the city. read more

Beware of this scam! I was in an accident and chp called them. They said it's $205 per hour. We got to the repair facility in 20 minutes. It's 13 miles away. They charged me $410 for this! The excuse was that they had to drive before and after. They never mentioned this and I never agreed to it. Filling a complaint with BBB now. read more

I used them today ,the driver was very nice and was able to get my fuel pump to work so I did to even need a tow saved me a lot of time ,thanks auto club for sending bobs towing. read more

Negative stars!! I will NOT use BOBS towing or his body shop! My friend recently had his truck towed there and the owner is rude and called him names as he was picking it up. He threatened to put a lien on his truck because my friend wanted to get his truck out of impound on a holiday. My friend let him know that that is illegal and that you have at least 48hrs before they can legally put a lien on your vehicle. I couldn't believe what I heard when I found out the way the business owner spoke to my friend. I will never do business with Bob's towing or his auto body shop! read more

Thanks to Chad at Bob's Towing for picking me up on the side of the road at 3am! You're the man! :) *Easily* five stars, because: quick, pleasant, competent. I hope I won't have to see you guys again soon, because of the circumstances inherent, but if I do need someone, you'll be the first people I call! :) read more

Worst experience and really bad customer service needed a tow of 2 miles was sent to us by Allstate before they were sent out I called to make sure we got a tow truck with a lift wheel and not a flat they assured me twice that their tow truck would be compatible and 30 mins later the driver shows up with a flat like really hello we called 2 and u still couldn't do your job right very mad and the driver nor the rep frm here apologized all they said we are canceling call Allstate read more

I usually do not write any bad reviews but these guys really rubbed me the wrong way. I work for enterprise rent a car. We do a lot of business with tow companies and tow yards. These guys were by far the worst we've ever dealt with. The phone rep was extremely rude and hostile. Although not the issue, their prices seemed very inflated as well. Stay away from these guys if possible. read more

The owner is extremely rude. He and his policy is inflexible; he made it extremely difficult to release my car, which had been involved in an accident (rear-ended on 280). The CA Highway Patrol will be notified and given this information so they don't use this company for towing cars from accident scenes. This has been a bad day, but everyone -- both insurance companies, the repair shop that will work on my damaged car, and the car rental people have been incredibly helpful and kind. But NOT Bob. I do need to add that the guy from Bob's Towing Services, who towed my car was very nice too. It's the owner who is a very unprofessional and a bully. read more

I had the unfortunate opportunity to use their services today. Talk about a silver lining in every cloud... I requested the tow through my insurance company and they quoted me a 45 minute arrival time. The truck arrived in just under 30. He was quick and efficient. He told me everything he was going to do and then did it. I had to ride in the truck to my mechanics and so I got to see the the truck interior. It was immaculate. He got me to my mechanics and was able to back my suburban into the lot through a labyrinth of parked cars and made it look easy! Based on my experience, I would recommend these guys to anyone without any hesitation. thanks Mark! read more

I requested a service company from my Honda towing service contract for 3 gallons, and only received under 1 gallon. The gas poured in my tank did not register on my 2016 car gauge. My car gauge shows a bar per gallon. I do not want Bobs towing service again, the driver said several times he put in 3 gallons. "Run the car for a few minutes or go around the block," the tow driver said. I felt like a fool. read more

I dislike leaving this type of reviews but I had an extremely horrible experience. Made me wait a total of 4 hours. It was very frustrating because of the situation in itself and the lady on the phone was so rude which made the experience so much worse. I would never consider using their services again. Although the tow guy Juan was very nice I just can't be waiting 4 hours for towing service. read more

James a.k.a #45 I had my car jumpstart twice before from different companies (It worked the first time and after driving 15 miles, switched off my car and it wouldn't start so had to call for a 2nd one around 8pm. The person who arrived the 2nd time could not start it so I figured I had to tow it and waited until the next day after work) I was then hooked with Bob's towing with my insurance to get it towed to the dealership. I had set an appointment so did not have to wait long. There arrived James who offered to jump start again and it magically started. However, he also pointed out that there was a corrosion and he should be able to clean it and won't charge me and most probably the car will be okay. He also showed me where the problem was and how to clean it just in case. I turned the engine down and restarted and yes it started without any problems. I drove back home and tried a few times through the evening and was successful. I know how stressful these situations can be since you're stranded and without a car and time that you have to spend to take care of these things. James went an extra mile to fix the problem rather than just doing the job that he was assigned to make a customer happy and that's commendable. I would recommend Bob's Towing and specifically James to 100% of my friends. :) read more

Andrew was great. We were parked in a parking lot, ready to head home, when our car wouldn't start. Andrew came around half an hour early than from what AllState had estimated, turns out he had cut his lunch break short to come get us, which was much appreciated. He looked at the battery and was able to tell us right away that there was a lot of corrosion built up on the terminal. He was super friendly and professional, got the Mazda up onto the tow platform quickly, and even gave us a ride to the service center. Once we got to the service center, Andrew spoke to the service guy on our behalf (we know nothing about cars). A+ service!! Thank you for making our first tow experience seamless. read more

Horrible!! Charged 180 to tow a car trailer 100 feet, put on our own new trailer tires , absolutely horrible service and a rip off!!

Bob's recently ended up with one of my cars after an accident and, although buying it back wasn't cheap, it wasn't any more outrageous than any other service under the same circumstances. What I did find to be outstanding was the helpful attitudes of both the driver and the two ladies in the office. They were sympathetic and went out of their way to assist. I got there shortly before closing and called AAA to come tow the car for me. AAA couldn't get there before closing, but instead of charging me an additional gate fee, they helped me get the car (drivable only in reverse ) out in front where AAA could retrieve it. And considering the amount of abuse to which they are ordinarily subject, I found everyone there to be exceptionally kind. I hope you don't find yourself in the same position I was, but I do recommend them if you do. read more

My car wouldn't start and I was stranded on the side of the road after a long hike with my dog. My insurance company sent Bob's Towing to the rescue. Mike (or Mark) was a great driver! He arrived in 30 minutes when the estimate was one hour and was very polite. He made me feel comfortable right away and helped ease the stress of needing a tow. After determining jumping the car would not work, he offered to tow it home for me. He even allowed my dog to sit in the truck with us on the way home. I was super impressed with him and the service they provided. read more

My son had an accident on 85s and Bobs towing was the company called by CHP. When I arrived to see my car I was panicked and very upset. I had no idea how the system worked when dealing with a tow job from the CHP. The people at Bobs Towing were instantly friendly, kind and patient with me. They walked me through the process and went to the next level to help through the insurance process. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is in a terrible situation. They are fabulous!! read more

Your lucky to get one star because of the rude uneducated woman that answers the phone and tries to make a persons day any harder than it is already when your car is stolen. Locked my keys in my car. I called Subaru roadside service. Revived a text that they would be there in 90mins. So l waited 75 of those 90mins then l called to get an update. The guy was super rude and told me l should call someone else because it was going to take him another hour. So l used my esurance app. It said Dave from BOB's towing would be there in 9 mins. So 9 mins later Dave calls me and says he's in the parking lot. He pulls up, starts filling out the paperwork. Super nice guy. Pulled his equipment out and pops the lock on my door. I was out of there in less than 5 mins. I highly recommend this business. read more

I want to praise Patrick from Bob's towing who was able to come to our rescue at 130a when another towing company failed to arrive after being dispatched. I was with my husband and 8yo daughter riding our motorcycles home late on a Sunday night in the fog and cold of San Jose. My husband got a front tire flat on his motorcycle and we had to call a tow. I called the insurance after the first company was reported to take an hour longer than the already 1.5hrs they estimated. Within 30min of the call back to the insurance and bob's towing answering the call, we were loaded up and home! Patrick mentions he answers those calls because a family is stranded and loves the feeling of helping people. My hat is off to Bob's towing for associating with drivers like Patrick, who are willing to take the insurance calls at 130am to help a couple and their 8yo get home safely. read more

Bob's towing are crooks. Our vehicle was in an accident. Radiator flood was on the ground from the accident. When the tow person came out he cleaned it up with saw dust or sand. After they towed our truck to the body shop, the driver told me they would have to go back out to clean up the accident after I saw him clean it myself the first time. They charged us $450.00 for a standard tow. I reccomend searching around with other companies before using this one. read more

My poor car died while I was on my way to get cat food, called my husband only to find out he couldn't leave work, oh dear what a day. My road side service provider was a bit of a pain and took forever to get my info, and finally said Bobs Towing would be there within 55 minutes. Then 20 minutes later my knight in a shiny truck pulled up, what a professional, nice, funny and simply great guy. Ron you are the hero of my day. My car arrived at its destination in perfect condition and I arrived in a good mood after a nice conversation and a good laugh. If you ever find yourself in need of towing and Bob's is available definitely give them a call, and if you are lucky your driver might be Ron! read more

My wife and two kids were stranded with an overheated car here in san Jose, so I called my insurance company for some Road side assistance tow truck. The agent got my location and sent me a text that Bobs Towing was on it's way, so after I hung up with the agent I called Bobs towing to make sure they got the correct address of my location and the lady dispatch said ok she will contact the driver to make sure he had my correct location. After an hour went by and I get a call from the dispatch lady that the driver of the tow truck could not find me. He was at another location, so I would have to wait about another 30 to 40 minutes since they got the incorrect address from my insurance agent. Now I get a call from my insurance agent that Bobs towing wants to charge them again if they want them to come out to me again since they were routed to the wrong address. This business is not trust worthy since they charged my insurance for a tow that never happened, eventhoough I called them to correct the address. I would never use this service and I have let my insurance know to never use them again. Enrque C. San Jose CA read more

James Brandt made it so easy to get through the evening. I was stranded on the side of the street (yes, at least not on the highway) and he was quick, super nice and very professional. Just moved to S.J. I had no idea who to use for towing services. I found Bobs on Yelp & decided to give them a try. Good service & the driver came before the estimated time given by dispatch. I am not sure why the negative reviews but, maybe it was a different tow person for that customer. My only complaint is that they were a bit pricey. I was charged $75.00 & was told by the driver that he wasn't going to charge me the labor. Where I am from, tows usually runs about $40.00. I need to say, is this about the right price or is the paid inflated? read more

I would feel horrible for anyone ever dealing with a real emergency situation and then being unfortunate enough to have to deal with this company. No-one deserves that burden. My fiancé was in a horrendous motorcycle accident roughly a year ago. Bob's towing came, and towed away the wreckage. At the time, I was more worried about dealing with her than thinking about what the hell to do with the bike. Should have just had it junked. Nope... I made a big mistake there... I let bob's towing tow it, and then they stored it... for $150+/week (yes, I am serious... more than you pay for an actual storage site for a month on a WEEKLY rate) Fast forward about a week and a half, my fiancé is still in the hospital, I am working two jobs, and spending money left and right on this (even after insurance), and I get a bill from good ole bob's.... $1k owed. Are you kidding me? I really don't have time to deal with this right now. I will deal with it later (again, yes, this part is *my* fault, and I freely admit that) A year goes by, I had forgotten about Bob's and the bike, they had already put a lien on it, destroyed it, whatever, I didn't care. My focus was my fiancé and seeing her through to good health, as it should have been. Low and behold, what is this in the mail? Collection notice.... $2300+.... WTF!!!! Call the collection agency, find out what this is about. Oh, this is Bob's Towing, they want their $2,300. Ok, fine, lets attempt to work with them to reach a reasonable resolution. Offer to settle for the last few dollars available on one non-maxed out credit card ($700... way more than reasonable to begin with for a friggen MOTORCYCLE towing and disposal). Nope, Bob doesn't want to be reasonable. He wants the full $2300. Oh, but he's a good samaritan, so he's wiling to make a payment plan arrangement. End solution: I was forced to borrow money from a friend or watch my credit be destroyed. It didn't cost bob $2300 to handle the motorcycle. It didn't even cost bob $1000. It did however cost me $2300 for being focused on my fiancé. Do not EVER let this company near you in a time of crisis, because while you are focusing on the important things, Bob will be busy focusing on how he can get as much money as possible out of you. Note that I call the owner Bob, I don't know if it really is Bob, or tom, DICK or jane. Either way, this is a downright horrible money grubbing person looking to exploit anyone he or she can while you are facing a real emergency. Do not let the same thing happen to you. read more

Thank you for towing my car and being quick about it BUT you towed it to the wrong mechanic which caused me a lot of stress. When I called dispatch to ask what happened they said they never write down or tell the business name to the tow driver, they only provide the address which obviously caused confusion today since there are a few mechanics on the same street. She seemed to not agree with me about how strange it is that they didn't tell the name of my mechanic's shop to the driver even though I provided it over the phone. read more

My starter pooped out on me. Called Bob's after calling two other tow services that were significantly more expensive. Was told that it would take hour and a half but the flat bed truck arrived in about an hour. James Brandt was operating the truck and as a pro. Super helpful as well. James offered to drop the car himself at the dealership saving me a half hour or so. Followed up by text to give me pictures of the car location and the overnight key drop off. Will definitely use Bob's again. Well done. read more

Bobs tow is a fucken joke, the owner is a rude person and unprofessional. I got quoted two amounts by their dispatcher and they wouldn't honor it. I asked them to call the dispatch group to see who I spoke to around the time of my call and they refused. Hope no one ever has to deal with these pricks!! And also the dispatcher told me I would be walked to my car to get my registration since they would need it and they wouldn't let me. They refused. Sounds like it's happened where dispatcher gives wrong amount because girl at desk told owner dispatch was giving quotes again but they still wouldn't honor amount I was given.
