Had a flat tire and Unique Towing came out through Geico. Carlos (150) came out very promptly. He was police and courteous and found me in the huge parking lot almost immediately. He was obviously very competent and got the car hooked up on his flat bed right away and took me where I needed to go to get it fixed. If I had to call a tow company directly this will be my first call. Thank you Carlos! read more

My insurance assigned Unique Tow company to tow our Tesla when we noticed the car had a dead battery and did not respond. We had the doors open but could not close due to the dead battery. We emphasized this multiple times with the tow truck driver when he arrived and he responded "Yeah I know not to close." We helped him load the car on the truck with the door open due to this. A couple hours later, Tesla informed us that outside of battery replacement, there's also a window damage that requires replacement. When checking the car in person, the door was closed and the window is cracked. The tow truck driver never tried to inform us and just left. We attempted to contact the owner of the tow company and he said this is nobody's fault because the car had a dead battery, and that broken car windows "just happens." We contacted the owner, but after some correspondence the owner ghosted us. Ultimately, the company is not taking accountability for the situation that took place with our car, if you are looking for a business that takes responsibility look to get your towing done elsewhere! read more

I was involved in a three-car collision on a freeway in San Jose. CHP dispatched this tow company to remove my vehicle from the freeway. The tow truck took over an hour to arrive. During that time, a truck matching the description drove past my location without stopping. I called the dispatch number provided by CHP, but they were unable to locate or provide an update on the assigned tow truck. Ultimately, I contacted a different tow company, which was able to respond and assist me. Based on this experience, I would not rely on this company for roadside assistance in a time-sensitive or safety-critical situation. read more

August 25, 2026 8:30 PM PST Lady on the (408)-249-5253 number was extraordinarily rude and unhelpful - terrible attitude and spoke to me as if I were an idiot. 2* only because lady from dispatch on (669)-272-9815 was kind and knowledgeable and Chris the driver was kind and offered great service. read more

Unique Towing was "assigned" to my roadside assistance need through my insurance company. They arrived in less than an hour, which was a delightful surprise. Mario was friendly, professional, and fast to replace my punctured tire with my spare! I was back on the road just 20 min after he arrived. I highly recommend Unique Towing. When your plans get derailed and you are already feeling cranky, it is so nice to be back on track SO quickly. I really appreciate it. read more

The owner is extremely rude & unprofessional. My front bumper was scratched & when I brought it up the owner became aggressive. I had my mother with me this day & he yelled at us to leave & kept saying we were "trying to pull a fast one". He never pulled up the images from before the tow. Stay away from these people. read more

I was charged $775 to have my car towed from the accident scene to my home. Is that legal? They took advantage of the fact that I was in shock and misled me! I think it's a scam. read more

I called the towing company at 3:19 pm, and the representative quoted me $327 to retrieve my car. When I arrived at the location at 5:28 pm the same day, the total had jumped to $746. The following fees had been tacked on: 1. $311 gate fee (not listed anywhere on their website, on this page, or by representative) The hours on both their Yelp and Apple Maps pages are wrong. They are not 24/7; they close at 5 p.m. If you come to retrieve your car past 5 p.m., they tack on this $311 extra fee just to open the gate. Not mentioned anywhere on their website or by the representative when I called. I had wasted $97 on an Uber from SF because I was trying to avoid the $127 daily storage fee they charge (also not on their website, but was mentioned by the representative). Turns out I would have been better just waiting. 2. $61 extra storage fee (not listed anywhere on their website, on this page, or by representative). Apparently they initially charge a 4h fee (when I called) after which they charge a day fee (when I arrived). When I called, the representative did not mention any of these fees. I'm highly suspicious of the timing of it as well. My friend noticed my car being towed at 2:00 p.m. It could not have possibly been at Unique Towing for more than 4 hours by the time I arrived at 5:30 p.m. 3. $47 extra tow fee Apparently the representative had misquoted me at $327, and the actual fee was $374. Instead of honoring the quote, they decided to just bump the price. I'm disappointed with this company's lack of transparency and hope this review can help anyone else with the misfortune of having to deal with them. read more

Horrible, horrible company. We were in an accident they totaled our car. This is who the police called to tow the car. We took what we could out of the car at the moment. Of course, on the side of the road you can't just take everything out of your car. Realize the next morning that we have left some sentimental items not worth anything just memories. We were told by the insurance company that they would be totaling the car so to get everything out of it that we wanted. They would not let us in our car. We had taken everything out and put it at the house and did not bring the registration with us. She wanted me to pay to get the registration pulled to get into my car. I had the insurance I had my drivers license and I was the one that had this car towed. These people are ridiculous. Hateful and heartless. I would never do business with them. read more

This was my very first roadside assistance experience, and unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. I was charged $250 for a short 3-mile tow, which really caught me off guard--especially since most towing services in the area quoted around $75-$150 for under 10 miles. While I have no complaint about the driver or the service itself--they arrived within 30 minutes as promised and handled the towing professionally--the pricing felt unreasonably high. Afterward, from home I called another company to verify, and they quoted me $140 for the same distance right away. Even I said I'm just looking for a better price & she willing to lower down & talk to his driver. It's disheartening to feel taken advantage of during a stressful moment, especially when you're in a panic and just trying to get help. I hope this company reviews their pricing policy and provides more transparency so future customers don't experience the same. The girl that I talked really sketchy when she gave the price. I'll post this to all social media so other driver be warn. BEWARE!!! Date happened 11/02/2025 12.45PM UPDATE: After discussing the matter with the business owner, I was able to share my concerns, and he provided his perspective. He acknowledged that the pricing was on the higher side, attributing it to the quality of their workmanship and the fact that they are a licensed provider. As a gesture of goodwill, he offered $40 refund which I appreciate. We both recognized that there was a communication gap, particularly on the part of the dispatcher, regarding the scope and nature of the services to be rendered. Despite the initial misunderstanding, I am satisfied with the resolution and have updated my rating to 3 stars. read more

Rolando did an amazing job at towing our car when my mom and I were connected to him through Geico Roadside Assistance. Earlier today, the tire came off the rim, my car was shaking, and I had to exit the freeway to stop at a parking lot. The Unique Towing truck came in just 45 minutes, which was quick. Rolando was careful to ensure that the left front tire rim wouldn't be further scratched by placing blocks underneath the front tires to first drag the car out of the parking space. Then, he placed a wooden block to put underneath the front rim while he lifted and towed the car by the front (where the damage was located). Thank you again Rolando! read more

Very nice and responsive operator. Easy turn around time and appointment. The tow trucker takes longer to come than normal due to high volume of traffic. The price was a bit high, the tow was less than 3 miles away for over 200$ read more

This towing service is a money sucking company nothing to do with Policy 101 San Fernando Apartments in San Jose. I have an apartment there. I was parked in my parking stall with my resident hanger on my car mirror but the tow guy said he couldn't see my apartment number, so they tow my car I had to pay over $400 to get my vehicle even though my hanger was still hanging on the mirror. In fact, the guy who took me agreed with me called the manager out, showed him my car with my resident hanging on the mirror and the manager still said oh well the driver couldn't see the apartment number so she still has to pay it. They are not a reputable company. They are not fair. There are money sucking company be very careful. Beware. read more

Jose and Steve truly went above and beyond. They took care of everything quickly and safely and made me feel like a top priority getting my car in. One of the most bizarre and frustrating experiences I've ever had with a company. From the very first call, the representative clearly had no idea how to help and kept putting me on hold to ask someone else basic questions. The only redeeming part was that the driver gave me a heads-up when he was on the way--so I'll give one star for that. Then it got weirder: someone called me as the tow truck arrived and asked for my credit card info--but wanted it over the phone, which already felt sketchy. When I tried calling back, the voicemail didn't even mention the company name ("Unique Towing"), which made me even more uneasy about handing over sensitive info. But the final straw? I asked the driver--Chris--if this was the usual process for payment and receipts. His response? He called me a "smart ass." When I asked him not to speak to me like that, he turned around, walked away, said "have a good evening," and left without towing my vehicle. This entire company is unprofessional, disorganized, and frankly, incredibly disrespectful. If you have any choice in the matter, avoid them at all costs--even if they're contracted by local authorities. My experience was not just inconvenient--it was infuriating and shady. read more

Chris did an amazing job taking care of me when the tire on my Civic Type R blew out. Chris arrived in a timely manner, but unfortunately my car was too low (from factory) so instead of attempting it anyhow, he took the safe route of getting a flatbed. Everything was very smooth, quick, and affordable. He was able to tow my car home without a problem, taking extra care not to damage any part of my car. Thank you again Chris! read more

SCAMMERS AND THIEVES! This place is a total joke. They steal from the cars they tow for CHP and then act clueless when you call them out. The staff gives you the runaround and false info so you don't show up too soon -- probably because they're going through your stuff first. My belongings were clearly tampered with: bags opened, things missing, and everything tossed around. They claim their workers "don't touch vehicles," but that's a lie. Super shady operation with zero professionalism. Stay away! read more

Major shout-out to Jaime and Unique Towing for helping us when our Tesla Model Y low-voltage battery died without warning, which renders the car unable to do anything (open doors, put in neutral, etc.). We were connected with Unique Towing through Tesla Roadside Assistance and could not have been more pleased after 2 unsuccessful tow operators through AAA. Jaime arrived promptly and communicated with us while he was on the way. When he arrived, he was efficient but very thoughtful about getting the car on the flatbed and securing it (even though the doors an trunk couldn't close) - he clearly knew what he was doing and took really exceptional care of the car. Never ideal to have your car die on you, but we were grateful to have Jaime and Unique Towing there to help. Would happily call on them if/when something like this happens again! read more

Highest Recommendation Possible ... !!! We parked a car at the rear of our property for 16 yrs. The easement we used to park the car changed hands and they put up a gate and lock. The property managers insisted we pay a large fee for key. They also insisted that the tow company have many insurances. Unique towing provided a bid and proof of insurance. Turned out the brakes were frozen on the car and we would need to move the car in a very tight space with no brakes. We contacted Unique Towing again and explained the issue with pictures and they were able to provide a solution. The day of the tow I was very nervous, the trucks were big, and easement was very tight. They confidently and cautiously eased their way down the easement to the back garage. They skillfully pulled the car from the garage to the easement with one truck, and then pulled the car out with the other. I was amazed at their skill and friendliness. Unique Towing will be the company we ask for going forward. Wow ... Thank you read more

The whole process was awesome from calling in and setting up the pick up. The driver was so professional and treated the truck with such respect. He used cloth straps instead of chains. Antonio literally saved our lives. We were broken down on the side of 680 because the boat trailer's wheel fell off while driving. He arrived much earlier than the estimated time and somehow managed to get our lopsided boat trailer loaded and unloaded without a scratch on it. I am not sure how they train for these things. I was driving my work van when I heard a thumping noise and looked out to see a flat tire. I pulled over to a safe area to inspect the tire and it was actually a slash tire. It looked like the tire was worn out and ripped. I called unique towing and spoke to someone immediately. I gave them all the information and everything was completed within 2 minutes, and the staff on the phone said the towing truck will arrive in 45 minutes. Arrived 30 mins early and was incredibly polite!! Amazing service and covered by Geico.

I needed a tow service asap, called here and got them arrived in 20 mins. The towing was done very professionally.

My tire got slashed in my apartment parking garage which was a real bummer, but my pleasant experience with Joe (#131) and the Unique Towing team really refreshed my faith in humanity! As part of my roadside assistance with Geico, they were dispatched to help put my spare tire on. The team was extremely prompt and communicative! Minutes after I contacted Geico, a receptionist from Unique Towing called to confirm the appointment, she was very kind & professional. Then, Joe arrived at my home only 15 minutes later!! He was very patient in locating my parking garage, and quickly swapped the tire out. He gave some nice advice, suggesting wheels locks to avoid further issues (as tires/wheels were being stolen in similar garages in the area). The whole thing was fast and painless. Joe was great, I appreciate the help! read more
