Incredible warmth and service! My weekend began on a bad note, as a tire cracked open, thanks to a foot deep holes on Great mall parkway, while I was driving to a dinner. The highly energetic owner of Cortez Towing, Sulma helped me tow the truck to nearest Costco at a very reasonable price. Well, Guess what! They don't have same size and it would take another 4/5 days to order and replace. Another Costco has them, but would not entertain walk in and next appointment is 2 weeks after. I'm lost so as to how am I going to manage the week ahead and Surma springs into action. She towed me to a tyre shop she knew at a low incremental cost, set me up with them to replace with a spare tyre and I'm all set for at least a month. All this while she was pressed for time herself. Before contacting Cortez towing, we lost the key to the car and so I contacted Lexus AAA three times and they came the previous day with different trucks to try to get my car out of the small garage but they couldn't because they didn't have the 'right tools' even though I specifically told them the situation. One of the guy was extremely rough on my car and had a horrible personality. So then I found Cortez Towing, I was afraid they'd be rough with my car and have condescending attitudes too since it's my first time ever really needing a tow truck but she was so nice from the first consultation call. When they came, they were so incredibly gentle with my car as if it was their own car. They also were mindful of my small garage door as well. They came with the right tools and it was smooth sailing. Very friendly and the dog was a great touch :) . Definitely a 180 flip from my experience with AAA. Communication with the dispatcher, Ilda, was very straightforward and professional. Despite some lack of coordination on my side that had us initially cancelling the dispatch, then requesting it again. She dealt with the back-and-forth gracefully and was very accommodating. The driver/tech, Fidel, arrived within the time window predicted and was extraordinarily helpful. At one point, at drop-off, Fidel even pitched in to help us unload the van, instead of standing by and watching. Not part of his job, and we didn't ask him for help.
