Such a great local spot. Our server Austin was super rad. Funny dude and had great recommendations and funny stories. Will definitely be back and recommend this place to friends when I'm back in town. The food was amazing as well! read more

Pretty good sized portions. Get the whole hog if you're with a large group. Ribs, pulled pork, and all the the traditional southern fixings you'd expect from a traditional North Carolina cookout. TL;DR-5 shots fired at those who say that southern style barbecue can't work out west out of 5 read more

Awesome. I haven't had decent barbecue in, well maybe years. The service was fantastic. Immediately seated, our waiter was attentive but not smothering, always coming back for refills. The complementary cornbread is such a wonderful treat. While not the best cornbread I've ever had it certainly was welcome after a long day. It was light and crumbly and delightful. I decided to go all out and order a full rack of baby back ribs. Even though my waiter forgot to give me a steak knife I didn't really need it. Now I realize that falling off the ribs does not make good barbecue, but it certainly helps. These were tender and succulent, the sauce was not slopped on and complimented the taste of the meat. I got sides of mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The potatoes were average, nothing special. The mac was buttery and cheesy as it should be. It made a wonderful lunch the next day. The next time I feel like treating myself I'll make my way up here again. read more

Love, love, love this place!!! I've been to almost all bbq places in Phoenix and this will always be my go to!!! $50 get me enough to feed my entire family with the option to pick and choose my cuts and types of meats I want at that time, this place will be your new favorite you must try, and don't be shy to use the take out service. I order take out from here all the time and it's always perfect!! read more

This is a great environment and the service was great. The food was okay and the Brisket rolls not worth the hype.

Took my wife for dinner and we shared the "Whole Hog Heaven" which included babyback ribs, st louis ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. The sides we had were fries, pecan cole slaw, and roasted corn. All the food was outstanding with the brisket and babyback ribs being the standout meats. Least favorite was the pulled pork because there was a ton of fat in it but the meat had great flavor. Highly recommend and we'll be back for sure. read more

Food not near as good as the Biltmore location. Ambiance is also lacking at this location. Ordered a glass of red wine, tasted like the bottle had been opened days before. The meal was mediocre at best. read more

So being from Texas and giving this a 4 Star for BBQ is a huge compliment. Great new smoasted chicken was awesome. Creamy Mac n cheese and great service. read more

Stopped in here on the 15th to have a lunch for my birthday and it took forever to get our food ordered and then it took an hour before they served us people all around us we're getting served that came in after us so once they served us the food was cold I couldn't believe it and it was just mediocre tasting at best. This is not the BBQ I Used to Know and the prices have gone out the roof it's ridiculous we didn't even eat our food it was that bad. After we told the manager what had happened she comped our meal but that wasn't the point the point was it was horrible and the prices were ridiculous I do not recommend this restaurant I would have a few years ago but not anymore it's gone way down read more

Super busy place so good idea to make a reservation. I asked the server for recommendations for wine but couldn't comply because he didn't drink wine. I also inquired about two items on the menu but couldn't recommend since they were both "entirely different". I had to ask to ask what the vegetable of the day was since he did not mention. Also, it took a long time to remove our empty plates/glasses. Our server was nice enough but just not attentive. So we ended up getting the QRolls because of all the good reviews. We weren't impressed. Very greasy and bland. We were waiting for the "wow" and it just didn't happen. I eventually decided on ordering the the YardBird and it was excellent. I would definitely get again. My husband and daughter got the Chicken Fried Chicken and that was also excellent. My son, The Smokehouse Burger, he enjoyed as well. Overall very good experience but service was lacking. read more

Oh my gosh, so much to eat, the smell just takes you over. Everything is so tender and not overly bar- b-cued with sauce. You can ask for extra sauce if you want. The drinks are large and delicious. The wait staff are pleasant and friendly and the inside is cosey. When you leave they send you home with a bag of fresh cinnamon donuts.Parking is available and there is plenty of room. read more

Better than Wagyu I had at Roka Akor in Scottsdale Hubby and I stopped here for lunch after reading the reviews on Yelp. I ordered the prime rib and shrimp chimichurri combo. Husband ordered 2 meat combo with chicken and brisket. Both meals were OUT OF BOUNDS. My prime rib was BETTER than the $250 Wagyu I ordered at Roka Akor. Waaaay better. Drinks are equally outstanding. I had an old fashioned that was yum. Serina-thank you for the phenomenal top-notch service! Good luck on your test next Saturday!!! And manager Joanna-thank you for quickly responding to meat readiness. I wanted it a little less red and it was resolved in minutes. No waiting!!! The food, drink and service were incredible. Will tell everyone I know to come here. read more

Cool spot it's definitely a bar style restaurant it's a little expensive for so soft food I think it's more you're paying for the atmosphere or the bar experience lots of Hispanic people I love Hispanic people I'm Mexican but damn I didn't know we packed them in like that..... read more

Delicious food and great service. A little pricey but worth it with the atmosphere and of course the little donuts!!! They are so good.

BBQ chain throughout Arizona that came recommended to me. Wasn't bad, but nothing special - I haven't had much luck with bbq in AZ. This place has 4.5 stars on Yelp w/ 1000+ reviews which goes the show the bar of bbq here in AZ. Again, wasn't bad... just very average. ‍ read more

Love the inside decor. Friendly staff. Brisket was fabulous. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Best bbq around! I am from MN and travel quite often, and this is the best ribs I've had by far. If you're in the Phoenix area, this is a must to make a stop at! I recommend trying the Q-rolls appetizer, which is deep fried brisket. If you're in the mood for sandwich the brisket sandwich and prime rib sandwich are amazing! My daughter and I each ordered one or the other and shared half. At the end they give you homemade complementary donuts and fresh cornbread in the beginning. The place itself is decorated very cute and warm! The staff is also outstanding! And if I haven't sold you on it yet, my family and I went twice on our 1 week trip here in AZ! A tip for you if you're going for the ribs: My family of 5 split 2 whole racks that come with 2 sides for each rack. That is 4 sides with 2 whole racks! It was a great deal and saved us $60 compared to the first night when everyone ordered their own sandwich. It was plenty of food, we had leftovers and let's just say we like to eat! read more

Server Brodie was super nice and had great recommendations. He was professional and sweet. Food here is awesome and never going to look at BBQ in the Bay Area ever again. He provided excellent service and this place is solid. The cornbread is bomb and I recommend to do 3 meats combo for St. Louis and baby back ribs with briskets. Definitely would come back to visit. read more

My husband and I flew to Phoenix from San Francisco this morning and were fortunate enough to end up staying in a hotel close to the BOBBY-Q. WOW! Just WOW! Our server, Keralynn, was the best, kindest, smartest and most wonderfully professional, server we've ever experienced before, EVER. In addition to the above and beyond care from our server, Keralynn, the BBQ baby back ribs, brisket and BBQ chicken, beans, and cornbread were truly some of the best ever BBQ we've ever had. Keralynn's expert bartended margaritas and Manhattans we're also some of the BEST cocktails we've ever had and we live in San Francisco where we're known for our bars and restaurants. We will be enjoying the afterglow from our dining experience at BOBBY-Q BBQ Restaurant and Steakhouse for a good long, satisfying, while. If you're hungry and in Phoenix, get over there and see for yourself how spectacular this epic BBQ restaurant is ~ you'll be glad you did!! read more

This place is amazing! Q-rolls are must to start, they were so delicious we had to order a second batch. Ordered the ribs and Mac n cheese and both were great! They even give you complimentary mini sugar donuts at the end of your meal. Drinks and wait staff are good too, definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

Bobby Q is the most extraordinary place I've eaten at the moment. Food smells great, it's clean, employees are polite, and waiting to be seated is worth it. Bathrooms smell delightful they are also very clean and look presentable. Food taste how it looks which is quite exquisite. I got the grilled salmon which comes with two sides I ordered the mash potatoes, and corn. Salmon was certainly not what I expected but even better it was cooked to perfection, tasted amazing, and the glazing was done perfectly it was indeed favorable. The Mash potatoes were Extremely wonderful it melts in your mouth with quite the flavor. They were placed neatly on my plate didn't expected it to be that delightful. The corn was a good as well but very oily, which I didn't mind because it's was filled with such flavor that make your palette want more. read more

Love this place. We always get the Hog Heaven it feeds 3. The cornbread is really good.

This place is sooo good! Whenever I visit the area, we make it a point to eat there. Their Q Rolls are amazing, the tacos on the menu are bomb and the sides are great. However, the coleslaw could use a little work in the flavor department. If you're in the area, make it a point to visit. You won't be sorry! read more

Great atmosphere, delicious food and attentive staff. Our server was Sebastian and he was fantastic. We had never been there before and he explained everything we needed to know about the menu offerings. We decided on the brisket platter with mashed potatoes & pecan cole slaw and the baby back ribs platter with Mac& cheese and potato salad. The cornbread they bring out before the food was amazing. Both of our meals were incredible and just as tasty the next day as leftovers. The complimentary mini donuts are a nice touch too. Yum! read more

My wife and I enjoyed the Whole Hog Heaven!! We didn't get to finish our meal because it was that large of a portion! We arrived hungry and now leaving with left overs. BOBBY Q BBQ. It's so clever! Honestly when we drove past this restaurant to get to our motel...we were busy making fun of their name. That is until we found out that they made Yelp's 100 Places to Eat and we found ourselves waiting 50 minutes for dinner. Not laughing anymore. I highly recommend making reservations because this restaurants get very crowded. Thankfully this did not affect the service at all! We were taken care of from the minute we walked in, to the minute we walked out. Their menu has a little bit of everything so you're bound to find something that interests you. We started our meal with their Spinach Artichoke Queso Dip (with garlic bread) but honestly you don't even have to! Their house corn bread is delicious with their butter and can easily count as an appetizer with all the free refills they give you. With that said, the artichoke queso dip was also quite tasty. I just prefer my artichoke dip with chips rather than bread. The bread was just a little too buttery for me which made the appetizer feel very heavy. For our entrees, we ordered the Three Meat Plate (brisket, sausage, ribs) and their Jumbo BBQ Potato (all the usual fixings and brisket. We absolutely loved the BBQ here. We've tasted some of the best bbq in Texas and I have to say that you can find some of the best right here in Phoenix, AZ. Everything was tender, fall off the bone delicious. I especially loved their brisket and my husband thought their sausage was great. I loved their BBQ sauce too. I even liked their sides! Their Mac-n-Cheese was rich and decadent, their pecan coleslaw was tangy and refreshing and their roasted corn was a little too smoky but that is purely a personal preference (less smoke is better for me). As for my Jumbo Potato, it was stuffed to the brim with all the fixings and very satisfying. We were absolutely stuffed after this meal. Our meal ended with some fresh house made donuts covered in cinnamon sugar. It was a great finish and we really appreciated all the effort put into excellent customer service. The managers were all out and greeting guests as well as cleaning tables! That was really nice to see. Anyways, I never thought that I would find a good BBQ restaurant in Phoenix but I was wrong! Next time I'm here, I'm definitely coming back for some great food! 5/5 read more

Great place! We ordered Our Thanksgiving dinner 2 years ago, it was really tasty and the portions were enough. Planning to order again our Thanksgiving dinner this year. read more

Good food but expect to spend some $$. 2 of us dined during the Early Bird time zone (3 until 5:30pm) when the filet mignon with one side is $12 (vs. $34.95?). When the bill arrived it was just over $80 because the waitress didn't put the order through with Early Bird pricing (even though when we checked in at 5:17pm I stated we were there for the Early Bird program and was told in the past that as long as you are seated by 5:30pm you qualify for the special prices. Thankfully the manager straightened this out and adjusted the bill but the moral is you can enjoy a delicious dinner at a reasonable price if you get there early enough (and I believe Early Bird dining is only available on weekdays). I've not been impressed with their limited and not exactly appealing appetizer specials at Happy Hour...just my personal opinion. read more

If your me and want to find a joint with a rocking atmosphere, awesome food, and just to have a good time, this is your place! This is what we ordered: Baby Back Ribs W/ Cold Slaw and Potato Salad- 5/5 rating. Ribs were succulent and off the bone tender. They had a smoky and flavorful bbq taste. Both sides were flavorful and were a great palette refresher. St. Louis Style Ribs W/ Corn and Cold Slaw- 4/5 rating. These ribs were more meatier yet still were fall of the bone tender. However, these had a less of a bbq and smoky flavor than the baby back ribs. Both sides brought value to the Ribs as well. Bbq Brisket W/ MAC n Cheese and Cold Slaw- 3.5/5 rating. Brisket was very tender with a nice melt in your mouth texture. However, they lacked a predominant smoky flavor and the portion was skimp to price. Mac n Cheese was very cheesy while Cold Slaw had good flavor. Overall, this place is great to pig out and have an awesome time with dynamite bbq. Service was superb and as an added bonus you get mini donuts at the end of your meal;) Note: Prepare for long lines or else call in reservations. read more

Bobby Q - St. Louis Style Ribs full rack w/ corn and Cold Slaw. Delicious!! - Barbeque Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Food is good here, we've been coming for years but I have to mention two things that were disappointing this last visit--they seemed very understaffed, our server was good when he was around but left us alone for 20 minutes with no one checking after our food was dropped, just not ok when 20% auto grat is charged and we spend over $350 with them, our large group seemed more of a nuisance than a source of good revenue, I tried calling several times and just went to voicemail during the day so left a message and no one called back to help me with reservation (have to call for parties over 6 but I couldn't get anyone to talk to me until the 4th time calling--frustrating) and then they did not have our table ready at our reservation time even though other parts of the restaurant were empty and second, it's just too overpriced to keep coming. Many of the recent reviews are mentioning it and some of my favorites are $3-4 more than a few months ago and some now come with LESS sides than they did before. Less food, more money, not great service. Bad combination that will turn people away with time. read more
