Food was excellent, wish I could say the same for the service. There were nine of us, and many ordered beer. One guy never got his beer, even after telling the waitress multiple times but she did put it on his bill which we had to request it be removed. She never filled up our water glasses once empty and never came to ask if all was good, or we wanted dessert. They offer corn bread and we received 8 servings for 9 In our group. All were brought their food at different times. The waitress also put the wrong tickets on the wrong bills, we clearly had explained at the time of ordering whose bill was to be on whose ticket. I emailed the manager after our visit and let him know and Never received an apology or even a response. Very sad. read more

5 STARS WITHOUT A DOUBT ***** From the moment we got there until we left we were treated as valued guests by management and our lovely waitress Heather. We informed our waitress this was our first time at Bobby-Q's and she gave a splendid introduction of both the menu and the company's history and reputation (which it most definitely lives up to). We started our visit with pulled pork rolls that were a perfect combination of a crunchy wrap and tender meat. We also ordered smoked wings which came with sauces on the side which was cool because it gives us choices (ranch, bbq, hot sauce) instead of having them pre-smothered in sauce. Me and my grandmother shared a two meat meal and it still managed to satisfy our appetites..the brisket is so well marinated and tender. Oh and the cornbread! *heart eyes* SOOO GOOD. me and my family are frequent restaurant goers however we all agree this is definitely one of the best restaurants we've ever been to. good vibes and good food! We came in this afternoon to try out Bobby-Q for the first time ever, not just this location. We were warmly welcomed to a very relaxing environment and a smiling face. We were sat near the back of the restaurant were you could still see the outside sitting area and hear the water fall, this made for an amazing ambiance. We then met out server Aaron. This man was VERY well informed about everything they do down to how they smoke the meat. I have to admit I did laugh a little as he continued on with all the knowledge he was trying to bestow after finding out it was out first time. Once we were well informed about everything he asked for our drink order and proceeded to ask if we wanted any starters, we asked for a few mins to examine the rest of the menu, not 2 mins later he was right back and on time for us to choose. We started with the smoked wings for a starter. The flavor of the wings alone was enough to bring be back 1000x over. The wings came on what seemed to be a cornbread skillet, 2 sides held carrots and celery, 3 more held the hot sauce, ranch, and BBQ sauce, all 3 were amazing. The last few sides did hold all the wings which were about 10-13 ( I didn't count because they were too good to keep looking at.). We also at the same time placed our order for the entrees. I ordered the "Sliced BBQ prime beef brisket" and my wife ordered "The perfect hamburger". When we asked for the burger Aaron asked my wife if she liked onion strings, which she loves. He suggested getting one of his favorites which was the smokehouse burger. The flavor of the meat and the smoked bacon on it was just phenomenal. The brisket was so tasty and tender, it fell apart in your mouth. We both ordered baked potato for our sides which were stuffed to the brim with bacon onion and cheese. While we were waiting for our entrees Aaron brought us some cornbread and butter. The great thing about this is they were personal sized cornbread, coaster sized. The fluffy texture and taste was a great way to get started as our entrees had just arrived shortly after. I can't stress how great a server Aaron was, there were times that our drinks were half food and he was already on top of refills, his vast knowledge of the menu and being able to suggest new items or even a better item for your taste. Too top everything off at the end when we were given our check they brought mini doughnuts to our table in a to-go bag, this wasnt just for us as I had seen others leave with similar bags. The whole staff here acknowledged us as we were both coming in to be seated AND when we were leaving. I'm not sure if it was the manager who came over to our table as we were about to leave and grabbed a few plates and asked how our visit was and if it was our first time. We explained it was our first time and because of Aaron it was a great experience and we would be returning for the food and service. This place should receive a 10/10 if passable but 5 it must be. read more

Holy cow!! Where do I start? Bobby-Q's is the real deal! My buddy and I were from out of town for business looking for a good place to eat. We were flooded with options. I'm so glad Bobby-Q's grabbed my attention. I am a sucker for good BBQ when it's GOOD. I have had my share... Texas BBQ, Louisiana BBQ, Kansas City BBQ, Hawaiian BBQ, Korean BBQ haha, you name it BBQ I've probably had it! Well... let's just say Bobby-Q's is now on my list of top 5 favorite places to eat! Not top 5 BBQ places, top 5 out of al the restaurants I've ever been to. I tell ya... not only is the physical restaurant itself impressive, but the staff, including the manager Alex is top shelf, the best - bar none! As soon as my buddy and I walked in we were politley greeted with sincerity! The atmosphere was great! There are plenty of places to hang out whether you just want to chill, have a drink, watch a game, and/or of course eat! After we were seated, we were told that our server would be with us shortly and to be prepared because she is awesome! I was intrigued to know and see if our waitress was up to the task! Well... she (Anissa) knocked it out of the park!! I'm telling ya... Anissa knew her stuff! She was so professional, polite, and courteous! She took the time to explain the basics of the restaurant to us since it was our first time. I was thinking about falling back on one of my food favorites, a Ribeye steak. I mentioned my order with hesitation to Anissa who kindly responded by suggesting the Prime Rib. I'm usually not a fan of Prime Rib, but something about the way Anissa recommended it told me I should give it a shot. Long story short, the best Prime Rib of my life! I didn't know I could like Prime Rib so much! It was loaded with flavor and was the most tender Prime Rib I've ever had. I am now a big fan of GOOD Prime Rib! So...WOW... that's about all else I can say! All the food was incredible. I almost feel silly for getting so excited about food but it's more than just the food, it was the EXPERIENCE! Bobby-Q's Mesa is the total package! So... one more thing to top it off! At the end of our meal, I went to use the restroom, which as I'd expect was well kept and very nice. But that's not the cool part! As I was washing my hands, I was standing next to one of the cooks. I knew he was a cook because he had those baggy "chef pants" on with black and white stripes. He greeted me and asked "how was your food?" We chatted for a bit. He thanked me for coming in and welcomed me back! That's what pushed me over the edge! Went to this fantastic restaurant tonight because of its great Yelp reviews. Even they didn't do it justice. Seriously one of the best steaks I've ever had, and my friend's prime rib that he was kind enough to share with me was THE BEST PRIME RIB I've ever had. Tasted like happiness in a winter cabin. Yup. I said it. The sides were epic. Cocktails top notch. And the service impeccable. Alex the manager greeted us upon arrival and was great. Anissa our knowledgeable server suggested the best dishes while making sure to avoid items that might've included some of my many food allergies. Ran into the cook after dinner and the manager again. My husband and I have been in the hunt for a great BBQ restaurant in the Mesa area. Bobby Qs exceeded our expectations of great BBQ! The atmosphere is beautiful, dimmly lit, and great music! The food was on point. We had The whole hog meal so that we could try a little of everything. Let me tell you now that it's a lot of food. The meal included two different types of ribs, and two different types of meat and 3 sides. We were expecting small portions of each of the meats and ribs but there was enough food there to feed a family of four. We enjoyed our visit and will be regular costumers now! read more

We have tried and enjoyed multiple BBQ establishments. But Bobby Q is hands down the best we have ever experienced. The food is all mesquite wood cooked and cooked until it practically falls off the bone. We had the Hog Heaven entree which allowed us to try a little of everything. What a treat! The brisket they serve must be traumatized in a presurecooker, frozen for prosperity and finely nuked in a microwave then plated piping hot just after misting the thing with liquid smoke. This place did right by us. Good job. The wife and I went out on a date night (without the kids). So we decided to try this place for the first time. We ordered and our wings came out. FYI wings are delicious. Then we waited for our order which didn't come out for a really long time. So to make things right they paid for our meal and gave us a gift card so we could come back and have a better experience. I could really tell they were sorry for the inconvenience.
