Me and my husband got one meal to share and boy! It was great! The server was so nice we gave him a good tip! The beef ribs were a little to much on the fatty side not a lot of meat but it's okay. The bbq sauce is so good!!! They gave us complementary doughnuts after our meal. Made fresh!! Over all. We'll definitely be back for more!!! read more

I read the reviews and decided to try this place for Valentine's Day with my wife. I used the Yelp reservations option and it couldn't have gone better. We walked in and were seated within minutes. Ordered the spinach queso dip with bread sticks and chips, and it was delish! The drinks, mango margarita and old fashion were excellent. Then came diner, we ordered the whole hog heaven platter with two orders of baby back ribs, two orders of brisket, and three sides. The ribs were so tender they fell off the bone. The brisket was delicious and could be cut with a fork. Everything was excellent, despite being a very busy night. Don't miss out on this place! read more

I was expecting this place to be crazy insane because we went the night of a high school graduation but it wasn't, so that was nice. The drinks were interesting but the food was horrid. And sooo expensive. I didn't mind paying the price until I got the food. I could look and see that it wasn't gonna be great. I ended up bringing my whole meal home but then eventually throwing it away.hhnhnhh read more

I can't even think about this place without getting hungry .I have never been in such a comfortable restaurant the ambiance the lights and the aroma was so delicious from the minute I walked in I could tell the food was going to be spectacular .I can tell you I wasn't let down I can't think of anywhere else that has such good meat and so many different options on how it was prepared .The quantity of servings we're overly proportioned and worth every dollar I think this is a great place to go with friends family or anyone else who is looking for great food trust me eating here is a meal you'll never forget .The employees were friendly and even shared there favorites from menu . Great experience definitely returning any chance I get.Thank you for a memorable meal and great time . read more

The food and service is top notch! They give you a bag of freshly made doughnuts! Rustic atmosphere! Such a cool place!

The thing that stands out to me is that every time I eat here the manager comes by to be sure everything is okay. so it should be be shocking they the food is constantly great and the service is also consistently great. I like the place. I like the patio with the barrel water fall. I like the big huge bar. I generally like everything about this place. My only complaint is that it's 12 minutes from my house. I like the corn bread. I like the donuts. I like the rotisserie chicken. I like the Baby back ribs. This is probably my favorite restaurant in the valley right now. read more

Two...I guess? Waited for an hour for a reserved table. Must be good? Will never come back. Update: I meant to come back in here and update this - the manager took care of us once he found out we were waiting for so long. Three stars for the AWESOME food, and the great management. He definitely made us feel a lot better about going back, which we have. read more

Except for the weirdo who forgot about social distancing and wanted to sit in the bar stool right next to mine until I ran him off ...service was great and food was delicious. We sat at the bar so we wouldn't have to wait a half hour for a table. Jesse was our bartender/server and was so helpful helping me pick out my two meat options. Offered us corn bread while we waited and donuts when we left. He was so sweet and attentive. Even my son was like "you better leave him a good tip!" After the seating incident, Jesse put up a "reserved" sign so that no one else would try and sit there. Seating/tables were following COVID protocols, that's why wait time was so long. But if u sit at bar, they serve u immediately. Baby-back ribs and brisket were delish, my sons Mac n cheese was also good. My beans tasted a bit like plastic, potato salad was good. My son raved about his Pulled pork sandwich. Food was better than famous Daves for sure! Will def be back. read more

Food was great. Had the baby back ribs. They were really good. Recommend you come thru if you are in town read more

Bobby Q - Mesa - New American Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

I was craving some serious bbq. I feel like Los Angeles kinda lacks in the bbq game. So grubbing on some bbq meats was on my Arizona to-do list. Apparently, Bobby Q is No. 1 for bbq in AZ and No. 18 countrywide. I'm not sure if that's accurate, but whatever you say. My friend and I shared the three meat combo. We got brisket, baby back ribs, link sausages with mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. Our food came with corn bread as well. First off, the corn bread was dang good. Buttery, sweet, corny... yum The meats. The sausage was good. The ribs were great. The brisket was fantastic. Tender, melt-in-your-mouth brisket is my second favorite type of meat. Bobby Q did not disappoint. The brisket was falling apart as I picked it up with my fork. The bbq sauces were all delicious as well. Perfect balance of sweet and smokey. The sides were great. Can't go wrong with mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. I haven't had much opportunity to try the best bbq places in the US, but this was a pretty good start. read more

This place was pretty decent, ribs were good, side items were good. We used takeout so my experience is very limited, but overall my experience was good The cherry on top is the hot fresh doughnuts. read more

This place is amazing!! I was in town from Northern CA and, looked up places to eat with gluten free options. Bobby Q does not disappoint! There is something for everyone, gluten free or not! Can't wait to come back here when I graduate in May from ASU. I'm planning to have my grad dinner here. Also, I heard they may be opening one near me in Roseville, CA. I absolutely am so excited about that! After eating at Bobby Q, I almost begged them to open one near me, and the response was that they were already thinking about it! And fortunately, it will be pretty close to me! So excited about that!! Please do it sooner than later!! It will be so worth it! CA is begging for a Bobby Q!! read more

It's okay... That's pretty much all I have to say. The food was decent but the prices were very high in my opinion. Environment was family friendly but service so so. Maybe we hit an off night, but it wasn't crazy busy and I probably wouldn't go back unless necessary. Too many other options that have great food and service at better prices. read more

If you want good barbecue and not expensive this place meets the requirements..located right off the highway and the wait is never real long. Plenty of TVs for the games and a real nice sitting area to socialize read more

These must be fake reviews. Went in earlier this week and had terrible food! There was a BONE IN MY CORN BREAD! The meat was poor quality and the flavoring was down right gross. Never ever ever going back again! read more

Be ready to wait no matter what you go there. There are low tables in the back where you can sit if you don't mind eating like a hutch back. The corn bread is flakey and doesn't even need butter. We got the big meat platter for 3 people to share we asked if that would enough food she said yes. She must eat like bird the sides aren't even for each person to get one table spoon. The meat portion was just enough for 2 people but it was a lot smaller than we thought. All of the meat was juicy and the bbq sauce was perfect the hot want even that hot for me and I don't do spicy read more

WOW -- fantastic barbeque, terrific ambiance, just an overall cool place! We tried this out and will for sure be coming back. Some highlights: The meat -- star of the show. Our party ordered a variety of dishes, including pulled pork, steaks, rotisserie chicken, and ribs, and all of it was perfect. Also, order the Q-rolls as an appetizer. I've never had anything quite like them, these fluffy tortilla-like rolls stuffed with brisket accompanied by dipping sauces... could easily eat a whole plate by myself. The cornbread -- addictive, soft inside, crispy edges, delicious. The atmosphere -- cool resort-like feel on the patio, comfortable lodge-like feel on the inside. The donuts! An unexpected treat of mini-donuts after our meal sealed the deal on my loyalty. Give me donuts and I will be back. read more

I placed a reservation through the website and spoke with Alexis at the host stand when we arrived, she was so sweet! The costumer service at the front is impeccable and our server Haley delivered great service as well. It is pricey but well worth the experience!!! read more

Really, really, really good food! And really, really, really expensive. I got lucky going there for lunch instead of dinner but I still dropped 50 bucks on two people. And that's without drinks. read more

We are huge fans of the after meal donuts! The loaded baked potato is the bomb! Not a fan of their brisket, but I can see why others might enjoy it. The handful of times we've been in, we've always had excellent service. Our kids are not fans of the smell of BBQ, but love the taste (I know weird), and they never get hit with that overwhelming scent when walking into the restaurant, which then in turn allows my husband and I to actually enjoy a BBQ meal. read more

The food was good, but for the price I didn't feel it was worth it. We're new to the area and are exploring new places to eat, and I'm not sure this will go to the top of our list. read more

I had the St.Louise style ribs my wife had the brisket. The wait was not to bad considering it was Saturday night. Overall the experience was probably a 3 out of 5 . Yummy food and fast service. Since COVID, it's the best service we've had. Great job!

Really good food, nice atmosphere, HUGE draft beer selection for a restaurant that doesn't stay open for "bar hours", OUT OF THIS WORLD MAC AND CHEESE, oh and they bring you freshly made cinnamon and sugar doughnuts with the check. That check is usually a little pricey but worth it. That mac and cheese though... #drool read more

I have to say the prices are very high for the quality given. $12.00 for a pulled pork, on a hamburger bun with just 1 side. $13.00 for beef brisket. Then $4.00 yes $4.00 to add sautéed onions. The meat was good but not outstanding. Thank you Chef was more the price point compared to other good BBQ in close proximity. Roll, pickle, only 1 side and 3 to 4 ounces of meat at $12 to $13 plus $2 ice tea is a pricey lunch. read more

I have not been to this location, but they catered my jobs Halloween party. It was so delicious and I enjoyed it. I don't eat pork so BBQ can be complicated for me at times. I liked that they had pulled chicken as well as brisket. Definitely need to make my way read more

The meat is flavorful and tender. Hubby and I got the Whole Hog and shared it. It comes with your choice of 2 meats, 2 ribs of your choice, and three sides. I feel like they were a bit stingy on the side sizes for the price you pay, but like most barbecue places, it's all about the meat. They serve flavorful cornbread, which is crispy outside and moist on the inside. Kid's meals were average. I was a bit annoyed they didn't just include the drinks. The kid's meals were about seven dollars each. While it was good, we probably won't be back for a while as it is a bit pricey. read more

I've passed by this spot a million times (ok, maybe only a thousand) on my way home from work and am SO glad I finally took the time to check it out! Although the line looked a little long and my group of three was quoted a 25 minute wait time, we were seated in less than 10. All of the staff was super friendly, genuine and our drinks, apps and entrees were delivered in record time. Ladies and Gents, the sangria is literally to die for. If I wasn't such a lightweight I probably would have ordered a pitcher all to myself. It tasted super fresh, sweet but not overly so, and the berries inside were delish. Disclaimer: Ordering a pitcher of sangria is, unfortunately, not an option on the menu. My friends and I each ordered a different platter so we could taste all of the different meat options and sides which was a stellar choice. My favorites were the pulled pork and brisket. The portions are huge so it was definitely nice to have leftovers the next day. And, as a final treat, each table is given freshly made cinnamon sugar donuts to take home in little doggie bags. This was my favorite part of the evening. Check this place out. It's an awesome experience and worth every penny. read more

I attempted to deal with this situation with management first before posting a negative online review, but since the Regional Manager Laura refuses to return a call I made early morning over four days ago (I left word with a manager at the NW Phoenix location), I am left with no other choice. Obviously, I am not important enough for a return call, so the public deserves to know the upper management doesn't care about customer service. My husband and I made reservations at the Mesa location last Saturday night for 5:30 and were not seated until 5:50. We specifically asked for one of the four booths in the bar area. At 5:40, my husband asked manager Tracy about the hold up with the tables, to which she rudely only offered to seat us in another area of the restaurant, without any apologies or compensation of any kind. My husband told her that we had specifically asked for that section of the restaurant and why should we have to settle for something less when we made reservations and their hostess staff sat customers in the seats we reserved; not to mention that the couple who had been there for a total of TWO hours were playing on their phones and not eating or drinking. So, at the point they were squatting and NOT dining, At the point where it had been 10 minutes past our reservation time, I suggested to the manager and the hostess that they politely ask the couple to move to the bar area, which is routinely done in restaurants that care about making good on their promises. Again, they had been boxed up for 45 minutes and were playing on their phones - not dining! But their rights were more important than mine or my husband's. A skilled manager could have easily asked them politely to move to the bar area, and if they resisted, offered them one drink or a desert. But instead, the manager Tracy said, "They can sit there as long as they want." Unbelievable! We were finally seated at 20 minutes past our reservation time with no apologies and no compensation from management. That, coupled with the fact that 3 weeks ago my husband and I waited for a bar table for over and hour and 15 minutes and were held up by a male manager who was talking to a table for over 20 minutes!! And they had also had leftovers boxed up and ready to go!! It doesn't take a genius to realize this place cares nothing about people waiting for tables and will make you wait, too. Don't count on your reservation being honored at Mesa. As for the food....it was absolutely horrible. My husband's and my steak was charred and burned and they tried to pass off some tasteless, gross white gunk as horseradish. Needless to say, due to the level of disrespect by the Mesa store's management and horrible food we will not be back. Especially since the Regional Manager Laura doesn't have enough common decency to return a phone call. That's fine: some place more deserving will get our hard-earned money! read more
