Came to eat with my boyfriend after the gym. When we walked in the place looked lovely and clean. We were greeted with the cashier with a friendly smile. She was super nice and patient with us since we didn't know exactly what to order.The food was delicious. My boyfriend and I loved it. It tasted very homey and with lots of flavor. I don't know if the lady is the owner but she was super sweet set up the table for us and gave us to go boxes since I told her we didn't have much time. I settled in for the combo above. The barista/cashier asked which rice cake I wanted. I opted for the Rose Spicy Rice Cake, which is similar to a vodka sauce (a little bit of red and white). The spice level was mild, which I loved. The food also served with pickled radish. Feeling healthy, I ordered the Veggie/Fish Cake Kimbab. The size of the roll as big as a silver dollar and with 8 long cuts. I loved how it was jammed packed with so many quality ingredients inside. The dish was also quite tasty. The Milk Tea was standard. How do I describe it? It gets a passing grade. As I am scrolling down the reviews on Yelp, I see a lot of negative comments related to drinks and service. Stopped by here for the name, not coming back for the tea. My boyfriend doesn't even remember how it tasted so by his standards, it's probably not memorable. I tried a bit of each and it doesn't taste cheap like you would expect at a boba place! Honestly, the quality was better than the average matjips around this area. Placed in a non conspicuous place in the same plaza as the AR Mart. It's very busy on a Saturday afternoon. I chose not to eat in the food court this time but rather grab something here after not being here for while. I ordered the fried sweet potato fries and the beef Kim bap to go. Initially went in for Korean shaved ice but due to their unavailability we ordered their 4 piece Taiyaki combo + 1 drink (chose an iced americano) and was so surprised at how tasty they were! We got 3 of the red bean and 1 custard, all were perfectly *super* crispy on the outside while being so unbelievably soft and chewy with ample filling. Was so yummy that only one was left before realizin the photo wasn't taken. ;( Only negative was that the young girl working the front could not have been anymore off-putting or was having an awfully off day - don't expect a greeting, let alone a smile, no joke. Yay for a boba place that opens at 10am! Its hard to find Boba spots that open in the AM. This little cafe is clean and professional, and is adhering to the covid19 protocols. They have spritzers made with Perrier! This is wonderful, because most places make theirs with Sprite, and I don't drink soda. Tbh I didn't have high expectations for this place, but I just have to say that if you haven't been here for the drink s, then you've been missing out! My favorite drink would have to be the taro milk tea. The flavor wasn't diluted and the boba was warm, chewy, and soft! I recently tried the vanilla chai which was also pretty good. The flavor reminds me of gingerbread cookies lol. The only critique I have for the drink is that it was a little on the sweet side. The place itself is nice and clean. It was pretty interesting to see a bunch of middle aged Korean ladies sit at a table gossiping about random things while sipping their drinks. I thought I was in a kdrama for a quick second! I like to ask the barista/cashier for recommendations, so I asked her which she preferred between thai and coffee milk tea. She told me the difference between them and actually recommended me trying the regular milk tea or taro. I went for the taro to try something new, plus it was a little cheaper than the other ones I initially wanted. I'm glad I went with her recommendation. While I can be a weakling with sweetness (thus 1 star off), my friend affirmed that it is good and not too sweet. The boba itself is good too. My friend ordered the pistachio frappe and dumplings (mandu). The pistachio is more postachio-y and I actually liked that, with tiny bits of pistachio. And man...the dumplings are so good!! Have been driving by this place since they opened and finally had time to stop in. It was actually a surprise stop from my husband. He knows I love boba and love to support small businesses. I had the coffee milk with boba and my husband had chai vanilla milk with boba. Wow! Mine was delish but my husband's drink was out of the world! Yes I was jealous and have been dreaming about my next visit there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can't have dairy so that's always a problem but not this time. They have almond milk. My 15 year old son loves all things Boba! Constantly going to new places and trying different flavors. On the way home, he spited this little place tucked away so we decided to to try it... He ordered the Peach-kiwi "smoothy" (with boba .$50 extra) and 2 Taiyaki (minimum purchase). The drink that was provided was a "slushy" not a smoothly as requested. He didn't mind, since it was something new but as a paying mother, I want the order I request. The 2 Taiyaki were okay, he liked them but wouldn't order them again and took about 7-9 minutes to come out and by that time his "slushy boba" was basically melted. As we waited for the taiyaki we looked around their store and noticed all the fruit fly's that were coming from the rotten display. I have been to many boba/drink places in my time. Anyway last week, after work, the BF and I decided that we would try a new place especially since we were in Fullerton. We pulled into this plaza and saw that it was a super cute little café. They had this deal going on where you could order 4 taiyaki and get a tea for $12. They have 3 different flavors, red bean with something, custard, and Nutella. We then decided to order 2 avocado smoothies. The entire order was over $25 because of the snacks...that's fine. We sat down and waited for our order to come out. The place is decorated pretty cute...very eclectic with it seems like different pockets of the place with a different style of décor. Anyway our taiyaki and tea came out first. Then came out our avocado smoothies. This is where we were confused. The avocado smoothie itself is more expensive than the other flavor smoothies on the menu....we get it. Avocado is expensive. I even specifically asked if it was made from fresh avocado. The cashier said yes. When we went to drink the smoothie...it just had the flavor of banana. We went up to the front to ask if it was supposed to have banana and she said yes. The whole point is...it's basically false advertising if they sell avocado smoothies but in reality it's avocado banana smoothies. No where on the menu does it say blended with banana. Anyway that's what made the entire experience less than enjoyable. Did they try and ask if we wanted another smoothie? NOPE. Will we be going back? Probably not. read more

A lot of things went wrong this first--and probably last--visit. Several I wouldn't hold against the shop as they were the consequence of being incredibly busy and possibly short-staffed. But the final straw was that they rang me up at higher prices than their menu board. When I pointed it out, they merely explained it as, "Oh, they raised the prices." As I'd just waited 10 minutes to order and gone through an extended conversation to input my order, I accepted it with frustration. But my bottom line is, showing accurate pricing on a menu is the very lowest of expectations a customer should be able to expect of a shop. We make our decisions on the information you post. It's spacious inside with outlets to plug into. My friend and I came here and had their "Assorted Fries" which is basically a bunch of different tempura - yummm~ There was deep-fried shrimp, octopus, sweet potato, squash, broccoli, and onion. It came with a dipping sauce. Perfectly crunchy, tender, and flavorful~ If you eat inside, then you pay later and they serve you. We also ordered drinks. I got the Thai tea and my friend got the Hazelnut Milk Tea half sugar. I couldn't decrease the sugar in mine since it's pre-made, but it was still really good. My friend's Hazelnut was soooo good! It was pretty quiet inside with people coming and going. A lot of Korean adults chilling. But it was Memorial Day, so I'm not surprised there weren't more people. When I told the guy who took my order that I had ordered a larger size, he apologized and said he would make it again in a larger size. However, what he did was that he transferred the small pistachio smoothie into a large cup and filled the rest with ice and gave back to us as a large size. You know, you would expect new boba shops opening up in the Fullerton/Buena Park area to be GREAT just because there are 50 other places down every block. The only things on their menu that stood out were their mojito and sparkling drinks. My first time around, I went with their Mojito Coffee with boba. Don't ask me why I got it, but don't get it. It's not good at all. I've also tried one of their sparkling drinks, as well as their pina colada. The drinks are at best, just about par for me. the boba wasn't anything surprising either. Customer service was pretty great, but one thing that bothered me a little is the way they treat non-Korean customers. They're not treated with the highest of respect that we, Koreans get.
