Good place for a quick, light meal. The young ki working there are friendly, polite & helpful. They are all bilingual & speak Korean so well it shocks me. Good to see young people working hard & maintaining their culture & language. My husband says this place has the best donkatsu (pork cutlet) he's tasted so far. He said the cutlet is thick yet moist & well cooked throughout, leaving the outside crunchy. I enjoybtheir Jjolmyun (spicy cold noodle) as there's lots of vegetables in it ( chopped up lettuce, cucumbers, & bean sprouts). Feels "healthier" although im having white noodles (pre-diabetic people are to avoid white flour-based foods: noodles, bread, & white rice). They have various Boba drinks (their name is Boba Yolo, afterall), smoothies, dessert, & now added shaved ice. The young man at the counter told us they only hace red bean topping for the shaved ice so we passed. Many like red beans but I'm not a fan. We got sweet potato fries to-go after our meal as we saw another couple get that to go & thought it was a good idea. We ate half of it in the car driving home. Thinly sliced sweet potatoes sprinkled with powdered sugar. What's there not to like? Give this place a try. I think you'll enjoy whatever you do ide to try here. read more

This is a review for the boba drink. Ordered two larges... they said they may not have enough boba so we would need to wait a little - how can a boba store run out of boba?? Came in for a quick boba run after a meal. We ordered two drinks: a Yuzu Slush with lemon rind and ginger and a Sea Salt Caramel Milk Tea. The yuzu slush was bright, citrusy, and refreshing with a subtle bitterness from the lemon rind that kept it from being overly sweet. The ginger added a nice little kick of warmth that was perfect on a cold, windy day. There was a bit of a wait for the sea salt caramel drink, and when it finally came out, it turned out to be a sea salt caramel slush instead of the milk tea we ordered. We didn't want to make a fuss, so we just went with it. The slush was creamy, well-balanced, and not cloying at all. Service may have been a little slow, but the drinks were good. I appreciate spots that get flavors right and aren't afraid to lean into more complex profiles instead of just sugar-on-sugar. This place is generally just eh. The ambiance was interesting.. the noise level was average but all the chairs/furniture is mismatched. The drink itself wasn't that bad. I got the chai vanilla (30% sugar) which wasn't that sweet. The drink itself was (surprisingly) very small, for 4.50 dollars. It kind of tastes like what you'd imagine a candle to taste like (if it tasted like what it smelled like) We also got the popcorn chicken which took a bit long to make but it was hot and fresh. First time visiting and ordered the black milk tea iced with boba. Paid $5.00 for the boba drink and it tasted more like a iced sugary drink and very bland taste. Disappointed and I will not get boba here next time. How can you go wrong with a regular iced milk tea with boba?! I went to this place a little after 8 PM, even though they close at 9. No one greeted me, so I wasn't sure if it was self-service. I walked up to the counter, and I saw two girls chatting and laughing, completely ignoring customers. I ordered jjolmyeon and tonkatsu and sat at a table. But the table was filthy--it clearly hadn't been wiped down. As I looked around, I noticed a bus cart and a big gray bus tub full of dirty dishes right in the middle of the restaurant. It was such an unappetizing sight. From the way things looked, I got the feeling that the girls working at the counter were the owner's daughters. I mean, if they weren't, they probably wouldn't be ignoring customers and just chatting instead of cleaning up. I glanced toward the kitchen and saw an older lady, who seemed like the owner's wife or mother, working alone. She looked extremely busy. When the food arrived, I have to say--it was actually good. The portions were huge, and it had that homemade, comforting taste, like something a mom would cook. But as I ate, I realized there was no water on the table. I looked around and saw a self-serve water station in the corner. It was so dirty that I didn't even want to get water from it. And right next to it? The same bus tub full of dirty dishes. I lost my appetite and just decided to skip the water. There were a few other customers, and when they finished eating and left, their tables hadn't cleaned for a long time. Then, at around 8:30 PM, one of the girls finally came out with a broom. I thought, Oh, at least they clean. But then, to my shock, she used the same broom she was sweeping the floor with to wipe off the tables where customers had been eating. I couldn't believe my eyes. Honestly, the entire experience was disgusting. The kitchen lady seemed to be working so hard, and I genuinely want this business to succeed, but they seriously need to take hygiene more seriously. And to the girls at the counter--please learn to be more humble and treat customers with some respect. I wanted to like this place, but this was just disappointing. read more

WOW, I'm so happy I found this little spot! It exceeded my expectations !!! My coworkers and I tried this place out and were in delight of their food. The service was great, the workers were welcoming as well! We got a beef bulgogi plate, kimbap spicy fish cake and kimbap beef. I also got a taro smoothie with boba, best taro smoothie ive ever tasted. The food was OUTSTANDING, especially the fish cake kimbap. Cute shop with lots of food and drink options! We didnt get the thinly sliced potato fries but it looked HUGEEE and delicious! Definitely want to come back to try it. We got the strawberry milk and strawberry smoothie, both of which were really sweet! Not sure if they allow you to adjust sweetness, but i would recommend trying to adjust it (by maybe 25 or 50%). Stopped in after grabbing a bite to eat in the area. inside has a good amount of seating, and very mismatched decor. When we ordered we had originally asked for a large and they told us they were out of large. I ordered the chai vanilla and the Thai tea. My husband and I literally watched them run around for 20+ minutes accomplishing little to nothing while tickets were piling up. Honestly, at one point we looked at each other in disbelief because it was like they had no idea what they were doing.
