The only reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of the level of noise. This review is from the standpoint of someone trying to study. I got here around 5pm on a Sunday and for the first hour it was completely fine. When dinner time came around groups started congregating here and the noise level got so loud I couldn't focus on getting any work done. The food/drink on the other hand along with the cleanliness of the cafe would be at 4 stars. Parkin is not an issue and the staff members are friendly. read more

Not a bad boba place. The place tasted like any other boba place. I was surprised that they used normal cups and plastic covers unlike the fancy custom cups and sealed tight covers (which is a not a big deal to me). The cashier was nice to us on this visit. She was very friendly and asked us about our baby. I would come here again. I believe I ordered boba with taro and it tasted pretty good. The interior is nice and cozy. read more

I came here in hopes to drink a wonderful boba , turns out their selection doesn't have a lot of variety . So I choose the iced honeydew boba drink in a regular size . When it was brought out and took the first sip it was good but then as I continued to drink it was very concentrated since they use powder boba , and it was VERRYYYYY SWEET to my liking . After perhaps 5 drinks it was all done ! Since the cup was filled with ice . Worst boba stop I have ever been to . In my opinion they shouldn't put so much ice . The ice and the taste made me give them 1 star . The ambiance is nice but I felt out of place since it seemed most were Asian . Not a place I would recommend for boba . It was 4.25 for a regular size that I paid for mostly ice read more

3.5 stars for being just ok. 4 stars for location. Easy parking and access to the Korean shopping Center. And easy to find if you just look for the pho and little cAesars. 3 stars for the selection. There's a little bit of many things but still short of the variety of other boba/tea/smoothie places. For it being having boba in the name, there's only a few selection of milk teas (which you typically find boba in ?) oh,..and the chai was out the last couple times I've visited. Not sure if they really sell it..... Their regular milk tea isn't bad. Better than other places but not particularly memorable. I'd come back for that at least. 3 stars for cleanliness. The bathroom was out of toilet paper and has a pretty funky smell. They should put some air freshener in it for sure. 3 stars for staff. I have never run in to any issues with them. But they also seem pretty whatever half time time. I always forget they have stamp cards because they don't ask for it or offer one. Anywhoo. If you're like me and live nearby and want a quick boba fix. I'd say pick one up if you're not willing to drive 5-10 more minutes for another spot. read more

I came here because my friend said here is a hidden spot in fullerton. The cashier (I think owner) was nice and the food was not bad. However, I want to give 1 star to this spot. Because the menu said, toast and tea combo price was $9.99. And she charged $10.74 without any explain. If you changed your menu price on pos, you should change your dining and togo menu price for all your valued customers. I know that you charge $0.50 for togo order. $9.99 + $0.5 = $10.49. $10.49 is still cheaper amount than what I paid this morning($10.79). Change the menu price or explain the menu price to your customers. read more

This is a brand new spot inFullerton that well deserves an attention and a visit. The venue has a good atmosphere and Korean music pumping in the background. Their specialty is boba milk tea as the name suggests. They got the boba milk tea down to the point. Milk tea has a rich tea flavor, not like the dollar milk tea powder stuff (you know what I'm talking about if you had one). Boba is cooked well, not too soft or hard. My drink came out in a brief time, which is great! This place also have a dedicated cook for cooking some of the Korean favorite eats like rolled rice and spicy rice cake. And they do have a bean paste shaved ice, I gotta try that next time. Overall it's in a good spot where a decent choice for a quick boba fix was missing, so if you are in the neighborhood or just like to try a new Boba place in Fullerton, I'd highly recommend to give it a go. read more

This boba shop is so cute inside. Definitely a welcoming atmosphere. They have a wide selection of drinks here which is great. I tried their cookies and cream shake and a Thai tea with boba. I had a pretty good experience here! Btw if you didn't know, they sell a lot more than just boba, which I was surprised by since the name is literally "BobaYolo". They have a ton of food options for lunch but I only came here to try the boba. I got the black milk tea and it was flavorful and I could really taste the tea. The boba in the drink was soft too, which I prefer! It took a little longer than I expected, but the place is really nice so I didn't really mind waiting. My wife wanted to try this place, I wasn't all that enthusiastic about it, but agreed anyways. Needless to say, I was really surprised at the quality of the food they have here! My wife had the BLT, which was lightly toasted and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients! I had the omelette toast, which came on a toasted croissant with a really nice dressing that wasn't too strong, yet not too mild. One of the best egg-sandwiches I've had to date! We had the cheese bulgar as a side dish, which had chicken and rice-cakes in it and was nicely SPICY! If you haven't tried this place yet, you NEED TO! P.S. Try the yuzu sparkling-add! SO read more

Went to boba yolo for lunch today. It was a hot day and we made an okay choice for visiting here. This place sells both food and drinks, so that's good. We ate the combo choice of kimbab, ttuk ppok ee and the fried dumplings. The food came out fairly quick and it was pretty good. The ttuk ppok ee was at just the right spicy level and the kimbab was a bit salty. But it was still good food. The dumplings were okay. The combo meal was enough food to share among three of us. We also got drinks. My mom got the mango peach smoothie with boba and I got black milk tea with boba. I got too full by the end of the meal. The price isn't that bad and this place is a pretty good air conditioned place to hang out and catch up with friends to talk. I liked it and wouldn't mind coming back again. read more

I came here last night after dinner with my friend hoping to get some boba for dessert. The shop was cute and spacious, but I felt like the name is a little deceiving. They do have boba but they don't have the same selection you'd expect from a boba shop - they have a decent selection of drinks and only boba as an additional topping. I purchased a taro milk tea with boba and the drink was ok, a little on the sweet side and some of the boba was a little hard in the middle. The service was also a bit slow considering we had to wait a while when there were no orders ahead of ours. What really disappointed me was when I went to pick up my drink, it wasn't even full. The photo attached is the drink before I even took a sip. Overall, my experience was just okay. read more

Cool little trendy spot in a large shopping plaza. Not too hard to find, there's definitely plenty of parking probably even when it's busy. Bright yellow sign in the front, can't really miss it. Walking in, it's a spacious space with a cool trendy vibe. Music is not too loud, almost non existent tho. Be aware your conversations will echo and people can hear what you say. Nothing too crazy or interesting stands out. The cashier was friendly. Our orders consisted of 3 different drinks. A caramel salted frappe, a hot mocha and a chai latte. We also ordered 2 tayaki fishes, one Nutella and one custard. The fishes were decent, seemed a bit undercooked but decent size and tasted ok. Drinks were ok too, nothing to special. The frappe however did taste a little off. Overall I'd give this place a solid 3/5 stars. It's decent tasting, good place to hang out, but awkward without too much music and things echo enough that people can hear your conversation. Good service. Good place to study tho. Not one of those tea house I would be seeking out for boba but would go if it was the closest. read more

I ordered milk tea with boba and mojito iced coffee. The service was good and the wait time was reasonable. The milk tea boba was really good, as i do not like those syrupy types of milk tea drinks. It was pretty legit and its sweetness was to its perfection. I was able to taste the tea and also a slight hint of milk and they were well mixed. I do not like those milk-down milk teas but their milk tea had its deep taste of the tea. The two substances (the milk and the tea, duh) did not over power each other and it was really good. Okay, so the mojito coffee. For those who have tasted Phil's coffee style mojito coffee, here's the good news. They were very similar. There's nothing i can say about this coffee. Enough said. It was good and i will definitely get it again next time. Since i like milk tea boba the most, i will probably suggest my friend to order the mojito coffee so i can take a sip or two of it and have the milk tea boba all to myself :) The roll cakes looked really good, but i decided to try those next time. This place seemed new, and i have reasons to go back to this place. read more

I give this boba spot 5 stars because the boba drinks are authentic, meaning it's fresh and I can substitute the milk for soy milk. I got matcha green tea iced and it was delicious. Also I got the famous Korean cake that are shaped as fish, forgot what they're called, but super delicious and also fresh ingredients. Super authentic! The only thing is that there was only one person working and I felt bad for the lady because she needs so much help in her business. Also, I strongly believe if there was a nice menu with pictures of food/drinks- this place would be popping! I hope they're able to upgrade soon and put up the boba drink menus with pictures. I didn't realize this was the establishment that replaced Okbingsul awhile back (though this also shows how long it's been since I've been in this area) but at least it was a familiar Korean plaza in Fullerton when I pulled up inside! I got their Cafe Mocha along with a Spicy Fish Kimbap to order. The service here was decent although it was a bit of a hit or miss even during the couple of minutes I was there. The atmosphere tends to draw an older crowd though since I noticed that there was usually groups of workers gathering together after a night of work, etc. Besides that, the drink and food were great! I did feel that the kimbap wasn't well-formed because it did keep falling apart every time I tried to pick it up with the chopstick (and I was sure it wasn't me after the fourth try) although I will give kudos for the amount of filling they gave (so much!!!). The cafe mocha was also really nice as well, it wasn't overpoweringly sweet nor too bitter as well which can happen at times. I wasn't there for too long but I would definitely come back again in the future to see what else they have to offer and maybe try their other food options too! read more

If you're looking for a boba store, the name of this place is definitely deceiving. It is more like a cafe that serves boba, than a place that specializes in boba. BobaYolo is the perfect place for a student who wants to study. There's free wifi available (just look at the cash register, and it has the wifi name and pw). While I was there I saw a couple medium sized groups of young adults enjoying themselves. In terms of the drinks, that's where my star review goes down. I got a regular boba milk tea with boba. My huband selected the jasmine milk tea with boba. Both drinks didn't taste like anything special. They use plastic covers, instead of the sealed covers like other boba places. The boba was also a little hard. If you're looking for good boba milk tea, I would suggest driving a few blocks elsewhere. I don't think it had the "yolo" factor. read more

You come here for Korean comfort food, metal dishes of banchan, enormous bowls of soup and stone pots hot enough to continue cooking your dinner while you eat it. And that stone pot is where I'd start. The gondre dolsot bibimbap was fantastic. Gondre is Korean thistle and here it gets worked through the rice with the egg, seaweed and everything else until the whole thing becomes earthy, savory and deeply satisfying. But the best part comes underneath. Leave it alone long enough and the rice against the stone develops that beautiful scorched crust, nurungji, which you eventually scrape loose and mix back through everything. That combination of the greens, sesame, egg and crispy rice is ridiculously good. There are dishes you finish because you're hungry and dishes where you keep digging around the bottom of the bowl because you're convinced there must be another good piece hiding somewhere. This was the latter. The galbitang was more complicated for me. The beef itself was excellent. Generous pieces, tender, falling easily from the bone and soft enough that our kids loved it. Plenty of green onion, too. My issue was the broth. I prefer galbitang on the restrained side so I can decide where it goes from there. Same reason I like seolleongtang arriving almost defiantly plain, give me the broth and let me dress it up myself with salt, saeujeot or whatever else I want. Han Yang has already made those decisions for you. The galbitang broth was noticeably sweet and salty and eventually it became a little much for me. That's preference as much as criticism, plenty of people will probably love it exactly as it arrives. I just wanted the volume turned down. The banchan was similarly mixed but mostly good. The napa kimchi was solid and nicely balanced. The kkakdugi was particularly good. The mustard greens, however, were ferociously sour. I like fermented food. These had me physically wincing. The dipping sauce for the galbi was excellent, though and I kept going back to it. Rice was average and a little dry. It did its job. Service was good and the whole experience was easy. The room itself has some age on it, tables are fairly close together and depending on where you're seated you may find yourself with a commanding view of the bathroom door. Nobody has ever requested the chef's table at the restroom, but here we are. Somehow I don't particularly mind any of it. Han Yang feels like a restaurant that knows what it is. It isn't polished into anonymity. People are here eating giant bowls of soup, mixing rice in scorching stone pots and getting on with their lives. And when a restaurant can put something as good as that gondre bibimbap in front of me, I can forgive a dry bowl of rice and a bathroom with excellent sightlines. Absolutely coming back. And next time, I'm getting that bibimbap again.

It was a great variety of shareable food & we did everything family style. LOVED the galbi the best (so soft & tender, good quality meat with tendony pieces), picanha steak with potatoes (gluten free option), pork belly, burrata with tomatoes, & the salad (mostly was arugula) that came with most of the dishes - that was so great because usually when you order food to share there aren't enough greens. The mushroom pasta was a popular favorite & the seafood rose pasta was also pretty good. I generally prefer unsweetened or less sweet meat, but their seasonings were done pretty perfectly (I hope they never make it sweeter because a lot of restaurants' marinated meats are too sweet/sugary). Everything was delicious! Even the matcha lattes were delicious & the cocktails were a hit, too (& I'm picky about my matchas)! I got mine half sweet & it was just perfect. We also loved the desserts which were a lava cake with ice cream, raspberry cheesecake in a cup, & gogoma (sweet potato) with pumpkin seeds & some crunchy crumble & ice cream. The gogoma was chewy & yummy! I think it was a $900 minimum to reserve the party room on the side of the restaurant, & it was nice & bright with windows all along the side. Highly recommend dPlace! The side room we reserved is a perfect place to gather & quite spacious :) I want to try the truffle potato jeon!

The taste of the vinegar and mustard always leave me salivating. The mustard helps to clear your nose, so be careful not too put too much at once! Despite giving both red and white kimchi while dining in person, the white kimchi will always be my favorite. The white kimchi is not spicy, but still has the hallmark vinegar taste with the crunch I've come to expect. This place is very generous with the kimchi- don't be afraid to ask for another small plate of kimchi! This place has a modern vibe, with the beige and white tones. Unfortunately, one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I've ever had…read more I'm a big foodie and genuinely love trying new restaurants, so it's very obvious to me when a restaurant is cutting corners at the guests' expense. It was 95°F outside, and the dining room at Mr BBQ was unbearably hot. There was a sign in the waiting area mentioning the AC issue, but the waiting area was significantly cooler than the actual dining room, making it difficult to judge from the entrance just how uncomfortable it would be once seated. We were told the AC was running but that the ventilation from the grills was making the dining room hot. Regardless of the cause, we spent the entire meal sweating and feeling sick from the heat. When we finally walked outside, the 95°F outdoor air actually felt cooler than the dining room. They provided handheld fans, which was a nice gesture in theory, but the fans were visibly filthy and covered in food splatters. The bathrooms were also extremely dirty, with a sign mentioning plumbing issues. Plumbing problems don't excuse poor cleanliness. I understand that equipment issues happen, but this felt like a situation where the restaurant chose to keep operating rather than prioritize the comfort and cleanliness of its guests. For a restaurant charging what it does, that's disappointing. I will not be returning.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the sweet potato fries at this amazing spot, and let me tell you, they blew me away! The portion size was incredibly generous, way larger than I anticipated. But the best part was the taste. They were perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of sweetness and a satisfying crunch that left me wanting more. It's rare to find such delicious sweet potato fries, but this place nailed it! Now, onto the Gimbap. It was a delightful experience for my taste buds. The balance between the bulgogi, veggies, and rice was spot on. Each bite offered a harmonious blend of flavors, and the serving size was excellent. I truly enjoyed every bite and left feeling satisfied. This place definitely knows how to deliver a fantastic meal with generous portions. read more

I visited this bustling eatery on a Saturday around noon, accompanied by my cousin, who highly recommended it after our acupuncture appointment--let's just say I was definitely ready to eat! We decided to try a few dishes: the popcorn chicken, pork bulgogi, and beef kimbap. Each item arrived piping hot and packed with flavor, truly delicious! Despite the restaurant being packed when we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to find a seat. Fortunately, the crowd began to thin out after lunch, allowing for a more relaxed atmosphere. It's clear why this place is so popular; the food is outstanding!
