As soon as I entered there was no one to greet behind the counter just one employee in the kitchen making drinks. This wasn't the problem as I continued to order on the self service kiosk. At this moment it wasn't packed, just two people waiting for their drinks before me. It was my first time here, so I'm debating if I should get boba or coffee. Once she finished making the drinks and came to the front to give the two people their drinks I then got her attention. I started by asking her opinion on the cold brew, whether it's creamy if I add milk and flavor etc. She then let me know that they actually don't have cold brew (the kiosk didn't say that). At this point, I was glad I waited to ask because then I would've proceeded to order the cold brew which they didn't have. So I continued to ask what she recommends and she informs me an Americano is the closest thing to a cold brew. I have never tried an Americano before, but I trusted her. I got my drink and I didn't like it. I had ordered food from next door so I left. I'm enjoying my food and trying my best to enjoy this Americano drink and I couldn't do it. So after I was done eating, I returned to boba ChaCha. She is in the back making drinks so I try my best to catch her attention. Once I did, I kindly let her know I didn't like the drink which was barely touched. I took two sips and I couldn't enjoy it. Again, I have never tried an Americano, but it tasted watered down and not like coffee at all. The three things she told me verbatim: "I can't give you a refund back" "I'm not going to make you another drink" "I'm not going to remake it for you" After I asked her "what do you recommend I do?" Not once did I ask for a refund, I just wanted a drink that I liked because I spent my money on it. On top of not liking the drink she recommended?? I'm not sure if this is the policy here, but I was shocked! I have never been to any other boba spot that won't remake a drink you don't like. I didn't want to cause a scene or any problems so I threw away the coffee and left. On the other end of things, my friend liked her smoothie and I like how it's decorated. It seems like a nice place to relax and chat. read more

The drinks I tried here had a weird aftertaste. I would not go back. The space is nice, but the drinks are not.

I just found out that there is a new boba place opened up in Old Town Pasadena area couple days ago and decided to try it out. I have to say there are tons of boba places in Pasadena, but BoBa ChaCha definitely made it to my favorite boba places in Pasadena! I tried the Mocha Latte with boba and it's definitely hit the spot. I personally love coffee and boba and apparently they have a perfect one for me on their menu. The coffee was strong and the mix with boba is just perfect. I'm excited to come back and try their macha and taro, which I heard is pretty good. They also have variety of desserts. My favorite is the s'mores with chocolate chip brownies. They have a beautiful space and many chairs where you can hangout with your friends, do your homework or just sipping some boba. I definitely would come back to hangout with some of my friends. read more

Let me start first by saying the girl at the cashier can sell! She's super friendly with just enough suggestive power to not offend me. Teas were flavorful but a little weak on the tea strength but the boba was cooked well and had a great chew. They have all alternative dairy substitutes (soy, almond and oat milk). So far the place is super clean and they pick up pretty quick once you're done. There's a private building w/ parking in the building next to it for $4 for 20 mins. Totally not worth it, find muni parking and walk the block or so for 1.5 free hours. read more

I'm sitting here on a comfy couch enjoying a freshly brewed green tea with strawberry and boba (Tapioca pearls). Nice music on the speakers, bright light, clean environment make for a perfect sunny/casual Sunday afternoon vibe. Green (cha) Tea with strawberry and boba - 0% sweet: 5 stars! I love green tea. I love strawberries. I love boba. I love sunny casual sunday vibes. I prefer my tea plain, no sugar, no cream. This place delivers. Tea is freshly brewed and the boba has a very soft texture - unlike any boba I've had before. Quite interesting and I am already a fan. Fresh strawberry juice, garnished with a slice of strawberry and mint leaf. Delicious. The drink comes out a little warm, but by the time you are halfway done, the ice takes over and the drink becomes a cool and refreshing treat. 24oz is about 8 bucks and that's ok. I'd come back for this beverage. I just noticed that this place also has a savory option (For those of us who are not huge fans of sweet pastries) a ham and cheese croissant! I will be sure to get one next time I am here. Service: 5 stars. Lovely person behind the counter, very tentative, and patient as I studied the menu. They were the one who recommended I get 0% sugar (rare in most boba places) and I am so glad they did! Atmosphere: 5 stars. I came here to study with 2 cohorts of mine for an upcoming exam but I do not think I'll be staying around. The place is awesome but for me, this is not a place to study simply because I am easily distracted. I am not sure what I was expecting when I agreed to study here but I am not holding this against Boba ChaCha. I wouldn't change a thing about the ambiance and I look forward to coming back when I am in the mood for a bite and a 5 star boba and craving that sunny Sunday Vibe that only So Cal can provide. read more

Friendly staff and good drinks! I visited today and tried the passion fruit oolong tea as well as the kiwi oolong tea. Both were really flavorful and I loved how aesthetic the shop is! There are plenty of table and chairs for folks to work/study from. There's a cool little spot to take photos too if that interests you Most importantly this spot is dog friendly! Looks like I'll be working from here in the coming days read more

Found this spot by chance walking around downtown Pasadena and decided to try it out. I usually order teas without milk at boba shops but their matcha was listed as a favorite so I ordered it. Unfortunately, it was the worst matcha I've ever had. It was powdery and the color alone looked off putting. I got the camellia green tea as a back up and it was better than the matcha, but nothing I would come back for. The fruit jelly topping was good. Drinks -- Matcha 0/10 (first time I've ever dumped out a drink) Camellia Green Tea 7/10 Service -- Service was quick and they were really nice. Environment -- Cafe was really cute and clean. There were only a few customers on a Sunday afternoon, no lines. Parking can be a pain but it sounds like some garages are free for first 90 minutes. Value -- Prices are on the higher side for the quality and quantity you get. read more

This is a lovely dessert or drinks place to stop by. I like how they decorated the place. Very cozy and suitable for small talk with friends. My hubby and I ordered a slice of rainbow crepes and brown sugar milk with 25% sugar without ice. The cake was pretty good. I prefer without strawberry jam as it's a little sweet to me. I like the addition of berries. The brown sugar with 25% was sweet, so I add some water to dilute it. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. read more

Prices includes boba unless you get a second topping! This place is so cute to begin with! Clean with adorable decor. Great place to hang out. Only problem is finding parking. We came on an early weekend so I'm not sure what's out like on a later time. It's like a Main Street. Got their matcha and jasmine foams. I wouldn't say it's the best, but for the price with boba, it's excellent. $6 each. Have to get the mango sticky rice. It's so delicious. $12 for it and it was presented so cute. You might have to wait about 10' for it, so call in if you have time. The rice was cooked perfectly and the mangoes were sweet. Also bought the rainbow crepe cake. Filled with fresh fruit son the side. It was so cute. $12 per slice and it was a hit. I'd come back if I'm in the area, but would not drive just to ge this. read more

I heard great things about boba in general in my visit to Cali and I've had a few hot spots in NYC. Probably just bad timing but my milk cha lavender boba came out very hot, and for milk cha the lavender flavor was not dairy based? The boba was very soft and the lavender flavor was perfect but something about the milk consistency lacked. Still giving four stars because it was great spot, great staff and lots of options. read more

Pretty good. A little on the pricier side for a small tea, but tasty and worth the visit. I loved the combination of the warm boba with my cold drink - it make my first sip really enjoyable and make me say "mmmm". I was really craving lychee that day, so I added some extra chunks of lychee fruit to my drink. Very refreshing! The inside is very welcoming. It's spacious enough to grab a drink and sit down with a friend for a nice chat. Also good to get some work done as they have free Wi-Fi. Like most stores around this area, parking is limited. You either have to find street parking or go into a structure. I likely won't drive out of my way to come here, but it's a good stop if you're in the area and craving some boba. read more

i got a bogo deal from online and used it here to try the strawberry matcha and the boba cha cha drinks. both were pretty good and the boba cha cha had a strong hazelnut flavor to it. the boba was freshly made as it was still pretty hot and it was sweet just to my liking. we didn't wait too long for our drinks at all and the inside of the boba shop is very aesthetic. there was some street parking as well so it wasn't too hard to find a spot. read more

Really authentic, delicious teas with fresh home-made boba! Very high quality drinks.

Lychee green tea and passion mango both tasted like pure sugar even at 75%. The sweetest tasting tea drink despite modified sugar (almost like it was made of pure syrup). The brown boba was unusually soft, almost falling apart (The texture was almost like that of a melted marshmallow). Something about the mango passion drink tasted almost rancid looking past how sweetened it was. No other flavor on either drink. I attempted to add water to my lychee drink and it only made it much more obvious the syrup/sugar content overpowered any flavor on each. Pure syrup... read more

Very easy to work with. I placed an order for about 70 drinks for a birthday event. In a variety of flavors. I texted directly with Preeya for my order and she emailed an invoice I could pay online. The tea was good although a bit pricey...$6.95 for a 16 oz drink and $7.95 for a 24 oz drink. They need better straws because I had to use something sharper to poke a hole to put the straw through. Location...if you can't find street parking and in a bit of a rush, just use the parking structure next to the store...$4 for 20 minutes. :( read more

I ask and paid Nine dollars for a base drink. No special add ons or requests, just for them it make it wrong and this drink is suppose to be one of their specialties. The barista actually added something that wasn't even on any part of my order and it wasn't even busy. there was one other group in there who had already had their drinks by the time my small group of two walked. The ambiance in there is very nice and has a good study environment but it not worth it if they're going to make your drink completely wrong. read more

This shop is one of the most unique and welcoming boba shops in Pasadena! The staff was very welcoming and open to answering all of my questions! I had tried the classic Boba ChaCha and it really is a good statement drink to represent this lovely place. It has a nice seating area with books and games to use during your stay! One Two! Cha! Cha! Cha! Three Four! Cha! Cha! Cha! That's the rhythmic dance your tongue will be doing after the first taste at least in my case. So I ordered the Army Cha Cha to start off with because it came with espresso and matcha mixed together. After my first sip I was like, Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! The coffee hit me first but then the matcha softly toned it down a little bit and that made it a perfect blend. So next I had their recommended Boba Cha Cha that had a blend of black tea with vanilla seeds. This was very interesting for a milk tea and it was very soft with its flavor and aftertaste. Both drink were true winners and on point with taste and flavor. Moving onto the aesthetics and if you know me I'm all about those super cute shops that pair well with the drink. And by writing that, this place fits the bill. Service was on hit and it's a spot I'll be looking forward to coming to again so I can leave this place doing the three steps and a shuffle. And that's my take on this spot, Peace read more

Most delicious boba spot! I drive to Pasadena just for it. They make all of their bobas in house and only use purées instead of syrups. They brew their teas fresh and you can definitely taste the difference. The staff is helpful in helping you create the perfect drink for you. It's such a cute place. Their house milk tea has a delicious toasted flavor to it. I've had the kiwi green tea, I've tried a few of their popping bobas (passion fruit is my fave). Service: 5/5 - Solid from beginning to end...drinks came out fast. Ambiance: 5/5 - Trendy setup with plenty of seating to hangout or just get some work done. Food: 3/5 - To be fair this only applies to the jasmine milk tea w/ boba I ordered...the tea flavor is quite watered down and the boba was hard which means either it was under cooked or it's been sitting for a while. Got a pistachio macaron which was a nice addition. Enjoy! read more

There was only one person working and 5 different customers had just come in. My daughter hasn't had a slushie boba drink she didn't like. This was the FIRST time she had a couple of sips and wanted to discard it. It was too sweet and the boba consistency was too hard. read more

Great ambiance and concept, vibrant and cute . Ordered two boba drinks and a banana pudding. Drinks were really disappointing to be honest. They are ice cold drinks (it was 80 degrees out) but the boba they use is hot so adding that to the drink melted all the ice now we were drinking warm drinks. We told them about it and they offered to remake them which was nice but it was just gonna happen again cause they use fresh hot boba. I was ok keeping mine but my friend just returned it and got a plain ice tea with no boba. A little disappointed. read more

Cute new boba shop in Old Town! Their decor is so comfy and cozy. Lots of seating for lounging and/or studying. Prices are a little bit expensive but on par for the area. Overall okay boba. Ordered the passion fruit boba for pickup. It took about 25 minutes to pickup the order. It was a one man staff making drinks in the kitchen. I ordered a passion fruit tea. The passion fruit flavor was good but the overall drink was okay. The boba balls were still warm so the ice melted quickly. Some of the boba were still a bit hard and a few were very soft and chewy. A decent boba place with nothing too special. For the price, I rather go to another boba place. We got two 24 oz and each drink was $7.95. They are a bit scarce with their toppings, not a fan of that. They also seemed to be short-staffed as only one person was making the drinks and taking the orders. Our drinks took a bit longer due to that. Overall ambiance was your typical "cute" boba place, with a grass wall, aesthetic seating arrangements, and enough space for one to study/work here for hours. read more
