I mean, did I really just pay $7 for a tiny cup of watered down tea??? I normally don't like to give such negative reviews to new businesses, but that is how disappointed I was with my drink (which was supposed to be an oolong milk tea but tasted nothing like what it should have). A decent boba place with nothing too special. For the price, I rather go to another boba place. We got two 24 oz and each drink was $7.95. They are a bit scarce with their toppings, not a fan of that. They also seemed to be short-staffed as only one person was making the drinks and taking the orders. I ordered boba with a friend. Like the regular boba and cashier proceeded to tell me I didn't order the right boba. Come to find they swapped my friends boba with the one I actually ordered. The cashier then took her time ansls afterwards that it would take them 20 minutes to get my drink because they were making the boba and had ran out. I will never come back here again. Boba ChaCha is a great shop with delicious drinks and beautiful decor. The drinks are made fresh, which means they take a little while to be prepared. There's plenty to do inside however; there's a shelf filled with books and games, as well as many couches and tables to hang out with friends, work, or study. The drinks themselves are delicious! We got the guava fruit tea, strawberry banana milkshake, and brown sugar milk tea. The boba in the milk tea was still hot, so you know it's fresh! This place has a very nice and wuaint charm to it. I really enjoyed the decorations and the way the space was utilized. The plant wall was definitely one of the highlights of this place. We got the Golden Fruit tea, which was absolutely delicious and reminded me of a yummy pineapple green tea! We also got the Army Cha Cha, a delicious drink that is reminiscent of Vietnamese Coffee. Their drinks normally come in half sugar, so all the drinks are not too sweet, which is perfect for those who like their drinks not so sweet. Pretty good! I drank it so fast didn't get a chance to take a pic. Same kinda order process: pick a tea/coffee/slush/soda. Add toppings (two are free). Select level of ice and sweetness. 16oz drinks around $6.95, 24oz drinks around $7.95. I enjoyed the fresh fruit toppings you can add to your refreshing drink. The servers welcomed me when I entered and asked how the drink was and offered to make changes if needed. They just started the day so maybe their tea proportions weren't 100% but I liked it. I'm just happy this place is open too. Must be a Pasadena thing where boba places open late (like after 12pm). I walked past four other (closed) tea joints on the way to BoBa ChaCha. Remember, Old Town Pasadena parking lots are now 2 hrs for $1. I wasn't aware of the closing time. I went there 15 min before closing Workers there is really nice n let's us order.  Menu is very simple and I don't see any unique drinks. All the drink I could have elsewhere. We ordered 3 drinks.  My friend 2 drinks signature milk cha with boba. And I had Passion Fruit Cha, I have to said one of most disappointing drink I ever had. Parking: Parking garage across from Blick Art Store has free parking for your first 90 minutes and doesn't require any validation for those 90 minutes. Drinks: One of the few boba shops that have pretty unique drinks selections, especially the tea section of their menu! I would have loved to try the peppermint lemongrass tea but unfortunately, they were sold out of it! The next drink I opted for was a lavender tea with matcha mixed in. Loved the flavor of the tea and it was super refreshing. My friend got an earl grey milk tea and the flavor of the early grey really shined through! Both of our drinks were around $7, which is kind of pricey but the overall experience here made it worth it! - Lavender Tea with Matcha - Earl Grey Milk Tea Ambiance: Prettiest boba shop ever!! I stumbled upon BoBa ChaCha when strolling down Colorado and looking for new boba spots on yelp. Upon walking in, I was immediately enamored by their gorgeous plant wall and how good of a space this would be for coworking/studying. After I ordered my Boba I talked to the owner for a few minutes and learned about her journey with starting the business & trying to create an awesome space for people to drink tea and hang out (inspired by friends!). I came in around 1 PM and there wasn't anyone so I was able to order my stuff quickly. I ordered an earl gray black milk tea and picked up one of the mango sticky rice dishes that they had in the front. Both are super tasty and not too sweet just right. I highly recommend stopping by to grab yourself a drink or a dessert if you have some time. Also they have a restroom in the back and a stamp card system so you can collect points. Overpriced drink, not really worth the price. I ordered 2 drinks, and one drink was 25% sugar but somehow sweeter than my other drink at 50%. Even the 50% sugar drink was super sweet, and if that's considered half sugar, then if you order 100% sugar you might as well get diabetes. Additionally, the location of the store makes it even worse. There is barely any street parking and the closest parking was a parking garage that charges $10-$15 for parking. However, it's $4 for the first 20 minutes so I figured that I could get my drink and leave within that time period but it took 30 minutes for the whole ordering + waiting process that just overall felt like a ripoff. There are better places out there that are more accessible and don't cost an arm and a leg for a drink. read more

Came here for a date, and noticed some other couples too. I think the inside is decorated nicely, and they have a comfortable couch area, which makes it a nice spot to hang out. Ordered a chrysanthemum tea and mango sticky rice. Oddly they asked if I wanted milk added to the chrysanthemum tea. It was okay, but very sweet. The mango sticky rice was a disappointment, since the rice was really hard. We didn't end up finishing it. I might come back for the ambiance and boba, but not anything outside of that. read more

Grabbed boba on our drive home from the Norton Simon museum. Parking was a little difficult, unless you want to pay for the lot, but that's to be expected in that area. Decor is very stylish and perfect for photos. Boba was fresh. I ordered the lavender milk tea and my mom got a slushie with lychee. The lychee were big chunks, really couldn't drink with straw. Problem: Wifi didn't work and none of the three staff present knew how (or showed care) to help. They all said that they don't know why it's not working with no attempt to restart the router or anything... This was my 3rd time coming to study, and I was pretty set on making that my go-to study cafe thanks to their solid wifi. This was my second time here and I was really looking forward to coming back but I have to say it was a bit of a let down. I was really craving some milk tea and ordered the Signature Milk drink from the Employee Favorites section (and added Crystal Boba) but was surprised that there was no option to adjust the sweetness. When I got my drink it was overwhelmingly sweet and I tried to wait for my ice to melt to counteract the sweetness but it was still just too much. I still have it sitting in my fridge since I'm too sad to throw it away. Next time I will order at the front counter rather than the touch screen so I can hopefully get 50% or generally less sweetness. read more

First time coming here and immediately, right off the bat, their drinks were not too sweet as their default sweetness. That's totally a plus for me. We also tried their layered crepe cakes and they were very flavorful. Again, not too sweet. We had a slice of their strawberry rainbow crepe cake and their coffee crepe cake. I enjoyed the coffee cream that came with the coffee crepe cake because it was more coffee than anything. The strawberry however was more than enough for me. My family liked the syrup that came with it. The mango sticky rice was amazing! The coconut cream that comes with it matches well with the very slight savory sticky rice and the mango. The lady behind the register was very friendly and gave detailed explanations of their selection of drinks, their origin, and how they would taste. I got a Hojicha with Crystal Boba and my girlfriend got the Lavender with Strawberry Popping Boba. My drink was definitely earthy and was totally to my liking. Her recommendation was pretty spot-on. My girlfriend also liked the lavender drink as it wasn't too "Lavender-y". We also took home a couple of Tiramisus! I liked how they were packaged in a jar and could be repurposed as a container for something else. Finally, we got a set of Macarons. My girlfriend loves them but I'm not a huge fan. I enjoyed the ones with mint and chocolate! Took me by surprise and wanted more but only got one. The man behind the counter was very friendly. Chatted me up a bit and even asked if we would be interested in their cotton candy that they were thinking of putting up on the menu! The man spun up the machine and gave us a bubblegum cotton candy for FREE! Having customers test out your new menu item before officially placing it on the menu is something I've NEVER experienced EVER in a boba shop before! This place is CUSTOMER-ORIENTED FIRST and money making second! A rarity these days! The area had enough space for folks to just lounge around once they've got their drinks and snacks. Two large tables with enough chairs and another area in the corner for with more cushioned seats. It's a very comfy place and the music is not too loud (Unlike most boba places). They do not need to shout or scream for folks to get their drinks. Unfortunately, we weren't able to stick around so we just took pictures of what we brought home back to my family at my dining table. I would totally go again and recommend this new boba shop! Will be coming back for many more visits! Perhaps lounge around a bit. My only tip would be to maybe put out some boardgames or something? A nice, aesthetic environment with lots of natural light, but boba drinks are not the best executed, especially with other selections like Jin, Sunright and Yi Fang walking distance around in Old Town Pasadena. However, the store itself is well-decorated, the employees are nice, there are both books and cards to play, as well as a sofa area and a long table, both great for groups.
