Forgot the toast but couldn't dip anyway. They offered to substitute links which arrived cold. The biscuit & gravy with egg arrived, again overeasy egg was hard cooked & cold, but NO GRAVY? They brought some when I asked. The waitress was hustling and apologizing and doing her best. Might be a good idea to train your chef before you leave them on their own. Had finally convinced my husband to try Bob Evans. He will not be back. Only bad Bob Evans experience I've ever had but it was BAD. Reading some of your previous reviews, this seems systemic. Went here for Sunday lunch before the gym. We ordered side options being vegetarian and vegan (salad with no croutons or cheese, colonial dressing is safe). Yes limited options, but we know what we're walking into. We were seated promptly and food didn't take long. The waitress was friendly and even offered a travel cup of fresh coffee for my guy. The food was good, tasted fresh and hot. The seasonal fruit was several fruits (some places it's one fruit) so good to see variety. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms. read more

Well it started out as a part time job interview normally there would be nothing wrong with that I walk in sit down with the hiring manager Theresa who is sitting there talking poorly about her staff by name. (Shoulda been a red flag) but as a student I needed the money. Come in about a week later for training for what I got hired to do but was put on host the entire time then after my training week was supposed to know what to do as carry out WITHOUT TRAINING. It really does seem like the managers don't care about the food safety because almost none of the cooks have hairnets which causes customers to complain about hair in there food and the silverware gets folded without being entirely cleaned. The old woman Debbie behind the counter is nothing but rude to customers and staff after I was checking someone out correcting her errors she took over and cursed at me to go the curse word away she's got it and got most of the order wrong when I was providing good customer service from someone out of the city After a month or two of working there the scheduling and head manager Mike refused to put me on the schedule for what they said was "giving you time off for graduation" which was weeks away I had the first week after that off to go on vacation and when I came back they still hadn't put me on the schedule or fired me so I quit soon after. Words of advice never eat or work here it's absolutely disgusting and a horrible experience and hr needs to do better checks with who they hire as management and need to make sure there giving fair and equal opportunities to there staff read more

Everything could improve!! We went here today, thanksgiving. The wait staff was amazing but the food was nearly inedible! Only good part was the rolls, macaroni and cheese, corn and ham. The green beans were like eating rubber, the stuffing was the consistency of slop for the pigs to eat! The turkey looked and tasted like something from a laboratory. The food was absolutely delicious and arrived super fast! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The tables were spotless, and everything was just perfect as you'd expect. My friends and I came in with six people, and we were able to sit right away, which was a huge plus. And, our food arrived pretty quickly, which was a surprise since some places can be slower with more people. They also gave us kids menus and crayons for the kids to draw with such a pulse for keeping the kids happy and quiet if you have kids you know how important a little distraction can be sometimes. Trying to place a pick up order- I believe it was the first one they have ever had On hold for 25 minutes, not sure why. 3 different people picked up the line but no one could help me. I go to Bob Evans in Delaware because they have a nice selection and variety on their menu. I generally order the dinner bell platter chopped steak with mushrooms and onions. But my last order was pathetic, to say the least. I usually get a side order of their green beans and mashed potatoes. There was not one mushroom in sight, the chopped steak was tough and puny, plus the onions which are usually thin sliced, were thick and also tough and whatever happened with the green beans is impossible to describe. I'm not a fan of big chain restaurants, but we were meeting family for breakfast and this was their choice. I came in with low expectations and was actually pleasantly surprised. We came at 7am on a Sunday and were seated right away. My husband and I split a prime rib omelettes and it was actually fairly good. It came with hash browns and biscuits. The hash browns were bland, but the biscuits were pretty good. The service was pretty good and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. They didn't rush us out when we stayed to catch up. 1st time visiting this restaurant while traveling out of state. No one greeted us upon entering the restaurant. Now we are being seated. Our waitress never came back but a new one did and explained that she took a 22 person table so that's why she is here. Took our drink orders and another waitress brought them out and took our order. Another waitress brought us a portion of our food. 4 waitresses so far. The restaurant is filthy from the walks, tables and floor.(I think this restaurant needs an inspection). I received a gift card for Christmas although I swore I could not go to Bob Evans again....any location! Well, I stopped by on my way to an appointment for breakfast. There were not many people in the restaurant and what few there were, they were of retirement age or older. My waitress was Beverly who was really sweet and attentive to my little booth. I started with hot chocolate and ordered sausage gravy with biscuits and grits. I received it hot and quickly and it was really good. The grits seemed very bland. I added some butter and salt. Then I added a little more salt. I wound up bringing them home to dr them up a little more and because I was full. Beverly did offer me more hot chocolate or even some to go. The whole experience was better than I expected due to past issues with this location years ago and other locations. read more

Went into the store and simply ordered potato soup and sausage gravy with a biscuit to go and the order should have been 10 minutes since it's all pre-made and was there over an hour. It took them 30 minutes to tell me they had no potato soup and I would have to make an alternate choice and it still took another half hour!!! Definitely not happy with the service there read more

It took almost 40 mins due to this location being under staffed. The GM and high management don't do this location any favors. Even the managers walk around clueless and not helpful. I can't bring myself to give even one star. Ever since Bob Evans sold out to a firm in California the overall quality, from service to food, has diminished. The last straw for me was when I went in by myself to eat and was completely ignored. I was never seated. I know the staff saw me because we made eye contact. And when I complained about others being seated before me who had come in after me, I never even got so much as an apology. I walked out. I will never darken their doorstep again. read more

Check your take out order EVERY time. This is the second time this has happened. I should have known better after the first time with the first complaint. This still happened with me even telling them on the phone not to burn my food. I thought that was implied when placing an order, but I was wrong. If I wanted burnt pancakes I would have made them myself. So the pancakes and the hash browns were "well done" and the turkey sausage cold. I've been in the service industry and I would not have let that reach the table or customers hand. The manager did offer to remake it which would involving me loading my sleeping child back in the car and driving or send me a gift card. read more

So I was very excited to go to Bob Evans when I was in town recently. But, oh, Bob Evans, you've gone downhill. Our food took about 45 minutes to come, even though the place wasn't crowded. My family was visiting from out of town and we needed to get some breakfast. They had never been to Bob Evans before so we decided to go here. It was early on a Sunday morning so it wasn't completely packet yet and we got seated right away. Our waitress wasn't the friendliest but by the end of our meal she got better. I ordered the Homestead breakfast with bacon. I got a lot of food for a good price. Had biscuits and gravy left over for later. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. The restaurant is located right off the main road so it's easy to get in and out of with plenty of parking. I don't go to Bob Evans often but when I do it's always good. Our experience was poor from the start. We were seated in a booth that had no room and we are not big people. That is tolerable, but we ordered meals were charged a la carte; were supposed to get biscuits/rolls, which we didn't. We ordered chicken and it was a small piece, very small portion of hash browns that were over cooked and crispy. We asked for separate bills but were told they would figure it out at the register, which held up everyone in line trying to figure out who got what. Since the bill was a cluster we didn't realize until we left that we were over charged. Needless to say after spending over $20 for the meal we left hungry. Boy has Bob Evans ever gone downhill. We came in at about 7:30pm on a Friday. Had to wait 15 minutes eventhough only half the tables were occupied. When I asked "why the wait?" I was told that tje get in trouble if they overseat. Then once we sat down we were surrounded by tables with dirty dishes sitting on them. We could also over hear the kitchen staff having a good old time messing around in the kitchen. Most of the servers were standing in the service area. You would think that somone would take the time to clear a few tables so they could make some better tips. Doesn't anybody care about their work? The service was lazy and slow and careless... The food was ok, probably a little on the sloppy side for Bob Evans, but not the best... On August 20, 2019, we visited the Bob Evans on Highway 23 South in Delaware, OH. We arrived a little after 6pm and were seated pretty quickly at a table on the north side of the building at a window facing west. I started checking the time at 6:10pm and when no server had even approached our table or said a word to us, we left at 6:15pm. A server took an order for a party seated near us who came in after we did. When we left, no one said a word to us and there was no host at the host stand or anyone at the registers. We've been disappointed before with the quality of the service and the uneven servings of food - sometimes the pancakes are huge and others, really small. This restaurant has gone downhill since we were here last fall. Steak ordered medium was completely well done, Omelette veggies were barely cooked, hashbrowns ordered extra crispy barely cooked. Cooks in back weren't wearing protective masks. Every last person in the kitchen wore their masks below their nose and the one wore mask below face completely. What's there not to love about Bob Evans? It's breakfast food, home cookin', deliciousness. PLUS many of their hot drinks are "bottomless" - ie. order a cappuccino, get refills while you're there, then you can get ANOTHER full refill in a to-go cup before you leave. BOOM. That blew my mind when I first was given that choice. Other than that, this Delaware Bob Evans is pretty awesome.
