Such a great place with an amazing selection of seafood! We ate at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and personable with great suggestions for drink pairings with the food ( shout out to Cliff!). We have the scallop appetizer which was delicious, my husband ordered a side of Shira to give it a little kick. Then we got the cioppino which was a large bowl to share for two and a cup of chowder. The sourdough was superb with a mouth watering crisp crust and soft center. The place had some T Vs at the bar but wasn't loud and great to carry on a conversation. There's dedicated parking out front which is helpful since it share a lot with other businesses. Would def come back again! read more

Decided to go here after reading through reviews. We live in Queen creek so its about 45-50 minutes away. Wow was I really disappointed. I wanted the fried clams...for the appetizer it was $25 and they just tasted like the breading. The best thing I had was a cup of clam chowder. Firecracker shrimp was just ok. My husband got the Bouillabaisse and I got a piece of beer batter fish, the lobster roll with ceasar salad. Both the Bouillabaisse and the Lobster roll lacked flavor. The lobster on the roll tasted like it was previously frozen and not fresh. We didn't even stay to try dessert. read more

WOW! This was my first time at the Bluewater Grill, and it was superb! It was a busy Friday evening with the place packed, but wow! The fried calamari was wonderful. The shrimp cocktail was fabulous. Their fish and chips were fabulous. I opted for the grilled asparagus instead of the chips. The best I've EVER HAD! The service was outstanding. If there was anything less than stellar, it'd be the parking, but that's nitpicking in contrast to the food, service, and ambiance. It is on the pricey side, but the value in everything else easily makes any parking concerns trivial. I am already looking forward to the next time. Great Job team Bluewater Grill! read more

Came here on New Year's Eve with friends for dinner. As I walked in the restaurant I was greeted by the hosts. After I was sat it did take a few minutes for the server to come over. Once she did and the rest of my party arrived service improved. The menu has a great selection of seafood and non seafood. I was excited for the walleye. Coming from Minnesota, I normally don't find it on the menu in Arizona. It was delicious. My friends had the fish and chips which they enjoyed. Looking for wed in going back. read more

I've been here many times and love it. I'd recommend the sushi and off of the Favorites: black cod, sand dabs, barramundi. You can't go wrong here. Top notch customer service. I made a reservation and forgot that I told them it was my birthday. They brought me a sundae. Crème brûlée is delicious. read more

Service wasn't great. He kept forgetting we were there. Food was bland and fries were soggy.

I've never had a bad meal at Bluewater! Ambience, wait staff and food all a delightful experience. I think the best, freshest seafood in the Valley. I look forward to my next visit to Bluewater Grill. read more

Had a lovely girlfriend dinner with some special girlies here, and I was excited to try it. The place's ambiance was welcoming and low key upon entering so it felt easygoing there, a chill vibe. There had been some bread delivered to the table when I arrived too (my friends arrived earlier than me). I ordered a wedge salad to start with and it was perfection in a wedge. I'm a big fan of blue cheese and so not only did it have the dressing drizzled atop but it also came with extra blue cheese crumbles to the side of the salad, and some purple onions and sliced grape tomatoes! I love all of these items but really nice if you aren't a fan of any one of those or prefer less of them. I gobbled mine entirely, it was superb with the bacon bits. Our server was patient and really lovely, I was so distracted I didn't catch her name but I wish I had because she allowed us to gab most of the afternoon but also knew when to ask us how we were doing and checking in. Our drinks stayed replenished without us having to even notice they weren't - but I absolutely noticed because I drink a ton of water with dinner! She also helped me decide on dinner and even went along with me when I asked her to please pick and surprise me. Some folks don't do well with this but she did and I was SO grateful! I ended up with the Halibut dish and IT WAS SPECTACULAR. I love me some fish first of all, but this came with a flavored crust on top that was crispy but the fish was cooked so perfectly well it was nice and moist... it was so delicious. It was on top of some scalloped potatoes and asparagus. My friends got the ahi tuna appetizer (was YUM), a seafood pasta with cremini mushrooms, and a lobster roll, and Everyone was delighted with their dishes... to top it off, with our service. The restaurant wasn't too busy for a Sunday afternoon (we arrived at 4) and less busy when we left (closer to 8) and thankfully our server seemed to have a big station to turnover others because we stayed so long. It's a really big restaurant though so plenty of space and seems it would accommodate big parties nicely too. read more

We enjoy the ambience of BlueWater Grill. It feels cozy and not too noisy to have a conversation, at least at medium occupancy like the early dinner time we were there. The service is very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the rich creamy clam chowder and freshly baked crusty bread as well as a well crafted Old Fashioned. However I was very disappointed in the paella that we shared. The flavor was good, but there was an abundance of dry diced chicken in it, as shown in the photo, after having already eaten a lot. If there was less of the chicken it might have not been so objectionable but it greatly outweighed seafood in it. I haven't had it here before so I don't know if this is to be expected. We will definitely return because it is a local business in our area, and we usually have a good experience. I recommend Bluewater Grill; just maybe not the paella. read more

Went here for an early dinner with my bestie in September. Got there in time for her to enjoy a drink on happy hour, plus i had a yelp checkin offer for her beverage, which was great! I had a few requests and let me tell you that the chef knocked it out of the park. More on that in a bit! I ordered a 1/2 doz oysters (east coast) and they were nice, fresh, and briny...simply delicious! Bread came to the table, which i didnt eat, but my girl said it had a crisp crust and soft inside. I did eat the butter that came with it though, which was delicious. lol Now my specialty request. I got the Spicy Tuna Tartare, but not on the crispy rice. The chef ended up putting it on cucumber for me and some crispy nori. CHEF'S KISS!!! We enjoyed our meal so much that my girl ended up going back the next day with some other people! read more

One of my favorite places for seafood! From appetizers to the main entree to dessert, everything is spot on. Fantastic service, from the hostess to the superb server. Presentation of food, to each being timed perfectly before coming out. Some places are good at this but Bluewater is exceptional. Great place for lunch, happy hour, dinner or any special occasion. Unfortunately, I found this place to be exceptionally mediocre for the price point. Food came out ice cold, server was nice enough to take it back to the kitchen and replace it with warmer food. Her service and attentiveness were satisfactory. The flavor of the food and the overall experience were pretty underwhelming. read more

We've dined here before a couple times so I'm surprised that I haven't already done a review. Today I want to talk about their Lobster Roll Kit. I decided that for my birthday this year, I really wanted something special and since lobster is one of my favorite things (and probably one of the things I miss most now that I don't live in New England.). I did a little research and liked the price at Bluewater, so I gave them a quick call to see if I needed to pre-order. I was told it is a good idea to call ahead just so they can start getting it ready, and because there are a couple questions thet will ask - such as if you want the rolls toasted ahead of time or not. I ordered the "for 4" kit even though there are only 2 of us because it will not go to waste! But a kit for 2 would have been plenty for one meal. (Now we've got enough to have it again tomorrow and we're not mad about that). The kit included: 4 individual baggies with the dressed lobster meat (and they didn't scrimp), 4 rolls, a big tub of clam chowder, 4 bags of oyster crackers, a big tub of cole slaw, 4 grilled lemons and 4 pickle spears. Everything was absolutely delicious! The cole slaw is simple but crispy and fresh. The chowder (chowdah to those of us from Boston) was probably one of the tastiest I've ever had. The rolls were soft and I just spread some butter on and griddled them on a cast iron pan - came out perfect! And the lobster! Absolutely delicious - fresh, flavorful, good amount of mayo, and nice size pieces - perfect! Highly recommend! read more

Beautiful restaurant! Service was great even though it was lunch and our server was very busy. We enjoyed the delicious sourdough bread served to the table. We both had tuna salad but I didn't get the tuna melt and enjoyed mine very much The coleslaw was very good as well. My husband had the tuna melt but didn't care for it. Definitely would consider coming back for the Halibut or the Swordfish. read more

Price of several items, seafood chowder was $11 for a cup. That is lubricous. I have never been charged that much. The other order I had was 6 oysters for $22. That is almost $4 each. That is the highest I have ever been charged. Both of those were on a Sunday after noon, Happy Hour. I will do my very best to make sure that every one I know is aware of those prices and they then share with others they know. I would encourage EVERYONE to avoid going to Bluewater Grill, and any one wanting seafood, go to LURE. BETTER FOOD AND MUCH BETTER PRICES. read more

Even though I gave a review on open table I felt compelled to put one up ob yelp. The restaurant was amazing. Staff supper friendly, not because they have to be, because they are genuinely warm. Ryan was our server. He was exactly what you would hope for. He was attentive without being interrupting. The food was perfect. We ordered the crab and artichoke dip and fried Ipswich clams. OMG they were tender and flavorful. The breading was exactly what it should have been and it was a clean fry. The prices were what was expected. Ryan even removed my plate when I was done and packaged it for me. No struggling with dishes. I've recommended this restaurant to several family and friends. I know I'll be going back soon. read more

Another delicious celebration at Bluewater Grill. If you are an oyster on a half shell lover, their Blu Point oysters are always fresh and juicy. Even though they are usually smaller, their seasonal oysters from the west coast are special! Taste the sea. As for Tabasco to eat with lemon juice, cocktail sauce and horseradish. I am not a fan of their Thai vinaigrette. Their mussels are the freshest and with the broth and chorizo, wow! Eat it with their hot sourdough bread. One of my favorite places to have mussels! Try their sautéed spinach. Ask for them to add balsamic and garlic. read more

Great atmosphere and service throughout, not overly busy on a weekend lunch/happy hour! Started with the captains Mai Tai which was refreshing on a 111 degree day, my partner had the American mule and really enjoyed it. Complimentary sour dough bread was fantastic! (Frozen butter balls, let them thaw then they could be useful) clam chowder was 100 percent the best I have ever had! Nice chunks of clams and potatoes and seasoned very nicely! Blue water roll was excellent, fish tacos were two huge tacos I just had a bite (not my favorite but I'm not a huge fish taco person) so I only had a bite. Firecracker shrimp was good but with a firecracker in a name I thought of some heat or spice, not so much but still tasty. Everyone at the table enjoyed it and our server was fantastic! Everyone in the restaurant worked in harmony with one another. We are definitely going to be back! read more

I found my new favorite seafood restaurant. We we're looking to expand our seafood and fish experiences. Chose Bluewater Grill because of the vast options on their menu. Date night with hubby started with our 5:45 reservation. Easy online booking through Yelp. Arrived a few minutes early and we were seated immediately. If I could have the same server everywhere I eat, it would be Miles. He was absolutely amazing. He had amazing recommendations. Vast knowledge of everything I asked about. And was spot on with suggestions. He took the time to hear what we liked and didn't like. I had the Cajun grilled Australian Barramundi. Divine. I loved the mango topping with crab and arugula. Hubby had the black cod. Delicious! I know where I will be coming again! Thank You for an awesome date night! read more
