Ordered takeout, so I don't have much to say about either the service or ambiance. The food, however, was stellar for the price point. Not often is food this good for such reasonable prices. Not only that, but the Braised Beef noodle soup and pan fried pork buns really batted above their pay grade. Really great dishes for the price, I cannot stress it enough.

Great family-vibe-comfort-food in Williston Park. Although their main website is currently down / not in service, you can still check their menu and order on the phone or third-party apps such as Grubhub and Doordash. The price does not seem to be drastically different, so I guess it doesn't really matter where you order from. Surprisingly, when I am seeking for healthy food around the area, besides Chopt and Greek Place, Blue Wave comes to mind. Compared to Chef Wang and other Chinese related fast food in the area, Blue Wave is less oily and salty. Portion size are also decent (towards the lesser side) but it can still fill you up. (Portion size to pricing ratio could always be be better.) The reason why I can't give Blue Wave five stars is because the taste does not hit like May Wah (fried chicken / pork with preserved vegetable) or Nan Bei Ho in Bayside. It may seem like I am comparing oranges to apples, but Blue Wave is missing a punch for me to receive full 5 stars. Regardless, Blue Wave is worth a shot. Definitely, one of the better restaurants in the neighborhood. Tips, always ask for Chili Oil because it is a great enhancement to your order. Parking, paid street parking is available directly in front. Or park around the corner in residential spots.

In the mood for authentic Chinese food in Long Island, but too tired to drive into Flushing? Give Blue Wave a try. Ambience: an dining room with table clothes? You don't see that too often anymore. A cozy, bright dining room, if not a trendy design. Food: Shanghainese and Taiwanese. We ordered: Beef and Chili Pepper Noodle Soup - hot spicy good ness (4/5) Pork and Cabbage Noodle Soup - for the veggie lovers out there. (4/5) Pepper and Salt Pork Chop - fried pork chop ...yum (4/5) Eggplant with Garlic Sauce - spicy and flavorful (4/5) Fish Fillet with Wine Sauce - aromatic, sweet and tender (5/5) Service: we ordered to go, but the cashier was friendly and helpful. TL/DR: don't need to go into Flushing for your next Beef and Chili Pepper fix.

Mouth-watering soup dumplings. Pan-fried pork dumplings were juicy and quite tasty. Great service. Cute place.

If you remember one thing, it's that the pork buns are truly like the ones from Shanghai. They immediately transported me back! We liked our other dishes, too. The beef pan fried noodles and crispy noodle pork were straightforward and flavorful (though my pork was a little gelatinous the next day). I'm definitely intrigued by the other dim sum options given how delicious the pork buns were. Another Yelp review mentioned shrimp in the pork soup dumplings, which I wish was disclosed in DoorDash descriptions if true.

I live nearby and gotten takeout from here 3 or 4 times bc it saves me a trip to Little Neck or Flushing when I'm craving Shanghainese food. I've tried their fried bean gluten, pork soup dumplings, scallion pancake with sliced beef, chicken w. broccoli, braised pork w. preserved vegetables, Shanghai meatball w. salted egg yolk and pan fried udon noodles. The prices are slightly higher and portions aren't big. I find their dishes to be very salty, their soup dumpling's skin is too thick with not enough soup, the scallion pancake only had 1 slice of beef in it (KFK in the mall's food court tastes better imo), the noodles were okay and my favorite was probably the cold fried gluten, which is hard to mess up. Overall, I think the food is decent compared to other authentic Shanghainese places but the girl in the front is not very pleasant.

I stopped here on my way home after a long day. Had a craving for dumplings and I am SO glad I stopped here. I ordered pickup through Yelp and they were pretty quick. I had fried pork dumplings, taro puffs and scallion pancake with beef. Everything was DELICIOUS! The scallion pancake with beef was the star. It took me 20 min to get home and by the time I had it, it wasn't greasy at all (like most other scallion pancakes I've had). The taro puffs were also really great. Crispy, buttery and just a tad bit sweet. Loved them. The pork fried dumplings were perfect as well and the sauce really made it.

Hadn't been here in a while. But came back with my mom and daughter and had a great time. Their xiao long bao are fantastic. Better than I remember them being. They had great flavor and lots of delicious soup. I definitely recommend them. We LOVE their green beans. Absolutely amazing. They come out still with a nice crunch to them. Lots of places they get really soft before you get to enjoy them, but not here. We also enjoyed their scallion pancakes. Next time we want to try them with beer in them too. And we enjoyed the fried noodles with chicken on top. Very nice. We will definitely be back.

Excellent authentic Chinese Shanghainese food for a great price. Would recommend noodle soups if you haven't tried, much better than ramen!

I was looking for a dim sum restaurant near Miniola, Long Island and came across this one on google. They have a good amount of options on their dim sum menu but wished they had bbq pork buns. Our favorite was the sticky rice and red bean puff. The chicken fried rice was delicious too. The restaurant is small but comfortable and clean. Our waiter was very attentive and the food came out quickly. I prefer the dim sum restaurants in China Town in the City but this is a good option in LI.

Great little dumpling spot. Small no frills place, friendly staff and quick service and SUPER cheap. There were 9 of us and the bill came out to $210 and we all left stuffed. Amazing soup dumplings and buns. Loved the garlic broccoli too. We also got the scallion pancakes. Our server was running around serving all the tables and didnt miss a beat! Would definitely return.

Their dumplings and Sesame Chicken were very poor. Gotta be in the lower 20% of chinese food I have in terms of taste. Reviews here seem off

The dish was presented traditionally with the all the toppings. The duck sauce was also perfect. A beautiful dish that fulfilled the 3 categories of Chinese cooking: color, fragrance and taste. Our next favorite in presentation and taste is the pork belly with pumpkin. The presentation of the dish is eye popping. The pork belly is unmistakably cooked by a master chef. The texture is chewy (skin), soft (fat) and dense (meat). The sauce may look over the top, but it adds to the silkiness of the pieces. The "fat" is not greasy. It's puzzling how they rendered the grease. I grew up eating this dish and cook it too. This dish by far is the best I've had. Service is fantastic; helpful and attentive. This is our new favorite restaurant! Suggestion would be to eat at the restaurant for an incredible experience. Dishes came out is perfect order. It's been a while since we've experienced a classic Chinese restaurant.

Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.
