We'd been passing this Chinese restaurant multiple times but today we finally get the chance to try this place. Called for a small order from where I was and ready when I arrived. It was not even 5 minutes drive. Only few Chinese place offers pan fried noodles and they do. I was disappointed as the noodles is not much and overflowing instead with seafoods. Pricing is a bit high as it has lobster tails on top together with shrimp, crab meat and veggies. I like the taste though- plain and not too oily. I enjoyed the egg drop soup, not oily and not salty. been here twice, once for a big party and one for just dinner for three. Both times they held up. its always takeout, call ahead and they always give 20 min even though its way less even in prime time. They always give extra everything and the food always slap. its good for the area or have no time to cook. My kids love almost everything on the menu. Note they way chinese fast food is cooked is heavly oily so it may not be for everyone. My wife and I tried this food spot for take out as we did not have enough time to prepare food at home. we called in for our orders, were informed of how many minutes it will be ready, picked up our order. The ambiance is generally functional and better suited for takeout. While tables and chairs are available to sit and eat, the dining area may not be the most appealing for those seeking a specific "ambiance". What we tried is their Pan fried noodles and egg drop soup. Price is a little bit high for a Pan fried noodles, then later on I found out that it was loaded with crustaceans and shellfish which included crab meat, shrimp, lobster and scallops. Both the noodles and the soup are flavorful, fresh, delicious, not oily and not salty. We have received efficient friendly service. They give generous food portions. Another positive point for this place is their willingness, flexibility and is accommodating to customize orders according to specific request. I ordered spare ribs boneless with vegetable fried rice, the fried rice could have been better because other spots for vegetables fried rice actually put more vegetables like bok choy, mushroom, snow peas, this was like minimum effort vegetable fried rice, the spare ribs could have had more sauce, the egg rolls they give for the lunch special has very little pork inside and mostly cabbage. I only order from this place because their service is quick and it's consistently the same quality n service. This little "hole in the wall" take out place was our favorite go to for chinese take out. Not anymore! Their attitude is almost as bad as their food! No respect for their long time loyal customers. There is no flexibility in changing ingredients. You ask to add or take out ingredients and they don't listen. Then when you get your food and they don't make dishes the way you want and call them, they tell you to "go somewhere else!" They overcook the food and not a good experience any more. So my wife and I were craving Chinese take out and our stand by Cheung Khei was closed on Sunday. Figured we'd try Liu Garden. We ordered a couple of lunch specials and a large order of spare ribs on the bone. Brought the food home and found the hot and sour soup that came with the lunch special was a half pint container. That kind of be threw me off. The flavor was a bit bland. Neither hot or sour. The large order or ribs only contained 8 ribs compared to the normal 10-12 we usually get from our regular place. The ribs were a bit fattier and lacked the Smokey taste. They did have a sweet glaze on them. I had the pork egg foo young. It was okay. Needed the gravy to give flavor. My wife ordered the sweet and sour pork. The batter was thick and was a bit spongy. No crispness from the fryer. Overall, the food is not bad if there is NOTHING ELSE available. Will probably not order from here again. The price for the ribs really is the deciding factor. If you charge $15 for a large order, make sure there are more in the order. Really not worth it. I understand you might say pandemic pricing, but when competitors in the area offer more for less, can you afford to be the expensive option? Go to Cheung Khei about less than a mile away because it's the better value. Way better value. read more

If you're looking to have food delivered during your lunch hour, just allow plenty of time for delivery. If the weather ain't great, allow even more time. Co-workers have ordered at 11 AM for a noon delivery but it's a rare occurence that it actually arrives on time (and we're basically right down the road). Just something to keep in mind... Okay. Here's my final review for this place. I ordered a variety of stuff for dinner last week. The usual, chicken and broccoli, pork dumplings, chicken fried rice, and chicken chow fun. The chicken tasted weird. It was bland in the chicken and broccoli dish but the chicken in the other dishes had an old oil taste. On top of that, the texture and color was not how chicken slices are normally. I tried to convince myself that it was just old dark meat chicken. That didn't work. This place used to be the absolute best fast food Chinese restaurant dating back to the early 90s. Tina took over sometime in the early 00's and the food was still great. There is new ownership now and the food has declined immensely. The food is too salty, the presentation is sloppy, and the customer service is lacking.
