New York Chinese food with a lot of love on top of that - it does not get better than this. Ok it…read moredoes: 1) The best egg drop soup in NY 2) Really, really good dinner combo C 23, the General Tso's Chicken with really good, juicy, crispy and tasty chicken and minimal batter in that gorgeous, sweet n tangy and slightly spicy rich sauce. Then the smoky and sweet pork fried rice. Oh wait, how about that egg roll; I am talking about the perfect balanced flavorful moist filling yet crispy non greasy crust as you smile and get into that packet of duck sauce. 3) The owner is something else. I ate in( about 7 chairs) and loved seeing the regulars popping in every few minutes to get their pick up orders that she already knew about including the omissions and special needs. Just a lovely, loving person whose kindness makes the food taste even better. 4) The inside is simple. Hey they pack a punch and it is a knockout! 5) She does not charge a cc processing add on fee. Seriously - for great Chinese food with amazing service and smiles galore from the chefs to the ladies at the counter, please park just east of Willis Ave on Hillside in Mineola and enjoy a meal at Chen's that will stay with you.

Another great lunch from Chen's Kitchen. I enjoyed my favorite Kung Po Chicken lunch combination…read morewith pork fried rice and egg roll. My wife likes to split hers with our mom. They share the Roast pork and Chinese vegetables with pork fried rice and won ton soup and the Chicken and shrimp combo with an egg roll. The flavor was great in every dish. We like the thick wonton wrapper for the wonton in the soup. Nice big chunks of vegetables in every dish. The Kung Po Chicken had the heat level spice that I like. Great food and friendly service keeps us coming back to our favorite Chinese takeout restaurant

From the moment you sit down, the experience feels intentional--warm wood tones, beautifully branded trays, and little details like the bamboo boxes stamped with Everyday is Ramen Day that instantly set the mood.- see picture The ramen... this is where Kyuramen really shines. The broth is rich and silky without being overly heavy, clearly simmered with care. The noodles have just the right bite, and the chashu pork is tender, flavorful, and generously portioned--melting into the broth with every bite. Simple, classic, and done right, which is harder to find than it should be. Everything arrives artfully plated, and the pacing is perfect--never rushed, never slow. It's an easy spot for a casual weeknight dinner, but also polished enough for a cozy date or a relaxed meal with family. If you're looking for ramen that balances quality, presentation, and comfort, Kyuramen absolutely delivers. This is a place you'll come back to--because yes, everyday really is ramen day.

Manager approached me & says w a smug look what are u lookin for? Not-Good afternoon/welcome/How are u/Would u like to be seated? & without asking if I would like a table, sat me at the bar in empty restaurant. While I'm there, another person walked in and they offered them a table in the seating area. I'm at the Ramen bar, the chefs are stuffing their face-Instead of using a designated area out of sight of customers. I tried to make conversation so they would get a clue-Nada. That was my 4th & last time. I honestly should've left upon arrival but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. It got worse & my entire meal was rushed. I tried to bypass the lack of Hospitality from previous visits, and even recommended the place to some of my peers and their recent feedback + feeling rushed, was similar to mine. I did not leave a tip, and the manager got confrontational with me. I politely shared my feedback and walked out. Based on that experience, would you go back, would you have left a tip?

What a hidden unassuming GEM, right in the middle of Franklin Square! This restaurant is family…read moreowned/run and has been in business for about 2 years. The restaurant is smallish and can probably seat up to 18ppl. This is a unique Harbin restaurant (the Capital region of a Providence in Northeast China). This authentic cuisine is hard to find; even in Flushing, Queens! On their store awning, it states "We Make Real Chinese Food".... They ain't kidding!! Note: Closed on Tuesdays! We went for lunch on a Saturday, and the restaurant was full of Asian people. There was a steady flow of Asians the entire 2.5 hrs we were there! (Yes, we had a leisurely 2.5 hr lunch; catching up with friends from out of town. lol) Our menu (shared by 4 adults, 1 child): -- House Special Dumplings ($18/12pcs): we ordered these boiled. Tasty; especially with the chili sauce and vinegar. -- Sauteed Tofu Sheet w.Chili Peppers $18: traditional Northeast China dish. Good but would have been better with more chili peppers. We added chili oil for an extra kick. -- Double Cooked Pork w.Sweet & Sour Sauce $20: Excellent dish! Preparation is very unique! There was no actual sweet & sour "sauce" but rather, the sweet & sour condiments were cooked into the batter of the pork. Loved this dish! Get this! -- Mala Lamb Ribs $28: Another Excellent dish! The spicy and numbing Mala taste was obvious without being overly spicy. Great flavors, Great texture. Get this! -- Pork Fried Noodles $15: All noodles are hand-pulled on-site, with noodle chefs having over 20 years of experience. This dish was made with just ONE very long noodle! Served with a pair of scissors. lol Great texture, and soooo satisfying! Even better with some chili oil! This had limited protein but a good dish nonetheless. -- Northeastern Style Braised Pork Elbow $36: Excellent dish! Huge portion. Perfectly braised, fall-off-the bone deliciousness. It was slightly salty, so definitely eat this with some rice. Get this! -- Rice ($2/bowl): entrees do NOT come with rice, so order on the side. -- Condiments: on each table, there is a condiments tray consisting of chili oil, vinegar, soy sauce, and salt/pepper. Definitely try their chili oil and vinegar. This really enhanced the flavors of the food. But some of the dishes didn't need condiments at all, and were terrific as served. Customer service was so warm, welcoming and friendly! They are happy to answer any questions you may have, and offered great suggestions. So, if you've never had Harbin Cuisine before, peruse the 6 page menu and ask questions before ordering! Lots of great dishes on their menu! Parking: street parking is available (in front and on the side road). They do have a small parking lot in back but spots are limited since it's a shared lot. Looking forward to a return visit to explore their menu. What a treat!! Thanks to Y&Z for a wonderful 1st experience at your restaurant!

There is a certain taste to lzbns which is described as "xian", and this soup has it. The pork sauerkraut dumplings were also great, as a Northeastern Chinese (Harbin) restaurant, the dumplings were as chonky as I expected with great wrapper texture. They give free pickled veg (pickled with Sichuan peppercorns!) and watermelon as well. Staff was attentive, I came on a Sunday dinner 630pm, was quiet, mostly takeout orders. Wonderful restaurant, definitely eat in if you can for the freshest experience.
