WOW. Truly a hidden gem in the area! This dumpling house is owned by the sweetest family, who make the most delicious food. Must try the dumplings, of course, always cooked perfectly with a little crisp. They are so flavorful, me and my friends looked at each other with wide-eyes after the first bite. Everything is so fresh and tasty, full of flavor. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with a modern edge. The ceiling literally has scroll wallpaper- it's awesome. I think I've been around 4+ times and can happily call myself a regular.

I passed by this restaurant many times and saw that they have Peking Duck here, so I finally decided to give it a try. Called in at 11 am to place my order and was quoted 40 minutes for pickup. I got the whole Peking Duck and Braised Meatballs. When I arrived, I waited another 15 min. They were quite busy due to a school/ lunch field trip with about 20 kids & 2 adults. There were only 1 server and 1 cook at the time. The server was very polite & friendly despite how busy he was juggling with everyone's orders all by himself. You can check-in on Yelp or pay cash to get 10% off. As for the food, the Peking Duck is definitely not worth $80 imo. There were 12 small pancakes, 2 containers of carved duck, scallion & cucumber/ hoisin sauce, as well as 2 quarts of soup that were made with the duck bones + cabbage. The skin wasn't crispy, had lots of excess fat, the duck itself was bland & greasy, and soup was extremely oily. The meatballs were dry and tough, they were not good. It was a disappointing experience, and not to mention, the food gave me stomach problems afterward. Maybe their dumplings are good, but I won't be trying them...

A good friend I trust told me that the best Peking duck on Long Island was in Glen cove. I was very skeptical. Maybe the best pizza or Italian food, but Peking duck?? As it turns out, it was very good. I think it also helps that the guy that carves up the duck is AMAZING! He so much meat off the duck. And then top it all off, they took the carcass and made a soup out of it for no extra charge. The really traditional duck houses in the city used to do that but you don't see it any more. The one change I would suggest is to put all the skins on top of the meat rather than just stacking them haphazardly because the skin pieces that are not on top get a little soggy. But I can forgive that because there was so much meat! As for the rest of the food, they were good but not at the same level except maybe the soup. My daughter had the hot and sour soup that she said was good and it came in this really cool bowl with a Buddha lid. I of course had to rub the belly although after all the duck meat, I could have just rubbed my own belly. The pan fried dumplings were ok and although the soup dumplings were tasty, the sauce was odd. Maybe not enough black vinegar. The sautéed pea shoots were ok. We also got talked into ordering the clams because the waiter suggested we have them, but they were a little spicy and needed rice as a side, which they did not provide. And we knew we had ordered a lot of food and did not want to waste the calories on rice. So we suffered through it. They really do a nice job with presentation starting with the napkins folded up like a rose, and all the nice bowls and pots. We will definitely be back for the duck!!

Came here for dinner Pros: - The Peking Duck was delicious! Crispy and tender. Wasn't a big fan of the soup that was made with the leftover duck. I think radishes would've added more flavor to the soup. - Scallion pancake was flaky and flavorful - Pork and shrimp with chives dumpling was pretty good but the skin was a bit too thick - Parking in the back Cons: - Waited close to an hour for the Squirrel Fish and it was so disappointing. We followed up on this dish so many times and they kept saying it was coming. When it came, it was extremely fried and lacked flavor. - General Tso Chicken had too much breading and lacked flavor.

Cute place we thought was gonna be a mostly takeout place but they had a cute couple of booths to sit in. Went later in the day for an early dinner. Had the pork soup buns (eat these when you first get them as they start to stick to the bottom of the streamer and a few tore and we lost the soup. Also had the lamb dumplings and the baked beef patties. Food was yummy but service was a little slow.

The dumplings were delicious, the pineapple shrimp had great flavor. The service was very good and staff were very friendly. They had nice wall paintings and music was nice. They also had the NU Rangers game on. I highly recommend you stop by.

The BEST Chinese food in Glen Cove! You have to try their homemade dumplings and their duck. Everything is so delicious! Go check it out if you haven't already. The mushrooms are so simple but full of flavor, the homemade dumplings have the perfect skin, the noodles are thick and addicting, and the duck with the pancakes, cucumber, and scallion is the perfect combination. The duck skin is so crispy and adds so much to the pancakes! Give it a try! - Shiitake Mushroom with Baby Bok Choy - Pork Dumplings - Zouji Stir Fried Noodles - Peking Duck

I'm not big on leaving restaurants low ratings, especially not during this pandemic when places are suffering but I couldn't in good faith let other patrons get ripped off. Because I'm a Yelper, I noticed that there weren't many pictures of the menu so I decided to take pictures so people could see them. Thank goodness I did, because when we got the bill ... all the prices were wrong!! I get that prices have changed but every place that I've gone, it's stated somewhere in the restaurant that there has been a price increase. When I asked the waiter there, he told me that he was from the Syosset location and didn't realize but would change the prices to match the menu. This whole night started when my husband wanted to try a new place for Chinese food so we decided to come here for dinner. The service was very slow. I don't know if it was because there was only one main waiter or if it was because of the numerous takeout orders. Regardless, we ordered our food and weren't asked if we wanted anything to drink. We ended asking for water after our first dish was almost finished. When I asked for a refill later on, he only took two of the three cups to refill and didn't refill the third, which was obviously empty. We ordered scallion pancakes, fried pork, shrimp and chives dumplings, steamed crab meat pork soup dumplings, mapo tofu, hot and sour soup and dried stir fry cauliflower. I have to admit, the stir fry cauliflower was my favorite. I wish it was a bigger portion but nonetheless, very tasty. The scallion pancakes .. yum. The pieces were a great size and very crunchy. The fried dumplings was the last to come out ... like 25-30 mins after we originally placed our order. It was mostly chives but still good. I wish I could say that for everything else we ordered. The only thing crab in the crab and pork soup dumpling was the dried little orange speck on the top of the soup dumpling. The hot and soup wasn't hot (temperature nor spice level) or sour. The soup was pretty bland. Lastly, we had ordered the mapo tofu. There was barely any sauce but TONS of oil, which isn't what we wanted. So ... would I go back? Doubt it. Maybe I'll chalk this dinner experience to just a bad night to go out to dinner.

Tofu and Fish hotpot: Fried white fish, fried tofu, string beans, bell peppers in a sauce that is probably reduced chicken stock. I'm biased since it's one of my favorite chinese dishes. I don't know when this specific dish is amazing, but I can tell you when it's bad. Green Lake's version is anything but bad. Shrimp Stuffed Tofu: We were given a sample since they were trying something new. The sauce is similar to the tofu hotpot but has a porkier feel because of the ground pork within the dish. The tofu is the same, but the way they fried it is different, so it took a step up. The shrimp was fine, and I think they should have this on their menu. Whole Fried Chicken: It's fine. Didn't love it. There's no batter to speak of at all, and you're reliant on the spicy sauce and ginger sauce provided. Stir Fried French Beans w/ Salted Fish: Crunchy French Beans, and very salty salted fish. Not my favorite, but it keeps things different. Hot prawn salad with broccoli: The broccoli was just boiled. Nothing to talk about. The pawn was fried and bathed in mayonnaise. What's not to like? Pork Chop: This is another Chinese restaurant staple. 85% of the chinese porkchops that you eat will taste the same. This one is no different. Hokkien Fried Rice: My chinese restaurant guilty pleasure. How else can you get a shrimp fried rice bathed in an umami sauce? The restaurant did a really good job with this and I'm glad that I asked if they had it (in chinese). Service: It was a slow night, so we had all the attention that our table needed. Ambiance: The location is big and can support small families to larger gatherings. They have a private area that fits 30+ people, so they look like the go-to spot for parties.

They roll the carts through the restaurant offering lots of dumplings, soups, noodle dishes and more. We loved everything except the Turnip Cake was way too salty. Someone dumped salt or too much soy sauce onto this dish. Also we were offered vegetarian dumplings that had some greens in it, but was mostly pork. Be sure to ask about the ingredients if you don't want pork or meat in a dish. We've been here before and all other dishes were great...Chinese broccoli sautéed, dumplings with shrimp, eggplant with shrimp, sautéed wide noodles with some veggies, soup dumplings, etc. finally tried the mango dessert. It was yummy.
