Why I was shopping at the Bloomingdale's, where I felt like I was given the lowest level of customer service. For some reason, the employee named Jason was serving a guy waiting behind me in line, which was unfair, because I was already waiting for 10 minutes for someone at the checkout. So I don't understand why he chose to serve the guy behind me, and I waited for my turn. I had to look at him for his attention, and he was ignoring me the whole time, and he had an attitude when he was trying to help me with my concern, which I needed to do a return. And all of that pretty much felt like a waste of my time because he direct me to the customer service area. If he actually helped me first because I was in line 1st, I wouldn't have wasted all this time. Jason was absolutely the nastiest human being ever, and he does not live up to Bloomingdale's values. This is the reason why I will never return to Bloomingdale's, that I will be more inclined to go shop at Nordstrom. I don't care if they offer me $25 gift cards, never shopping here again. This is a very nice Bloomingdale's. Outside the one in Manhattan, this is the largest and best one I have been to for selection. At the time, I was looking for a couple new blouses. A veryy nice associate was genuine and helped me select something for an event I was attending. I ended up buying something that was on sale and I felt I paid a fair price. I like the setup of the store. The signage made it easy fo find what I was looking for. I enjoyed browsing. I am a member of their Loyalist program. I recommend this so you can earn points toward gift cards and receive free shipping on anything you purchase off their website. They also have lots of sales just for members. I like how Bloomingdale's has clothing at all price points. read more

Horrible Service!!! I ordered a pair of shoes for my wife, first order came in and they were used. The box had the receipt of the original purchase still in the box (see attached picture), they were returned in Atlanta GA and resend to California for resale. The shoes were extremely dirty and beat up. We went back to the store to refunded them and they reordered them for us, second pair arrived... worse than the first pair!!! These were also used and worn, the inside of the shoe was dirty and the bottom had some wear and tear. I called customer service to file a complaint and they reordered but promised that these would come straight from the warehouse and would be NEW, we shall see! They did tell me I had to go back to the store to refunded the second pair, waste of time and gas. What is going on with Bloomingdales??? This is not the first time I experience this issue, I hate having to order from Bloomingdales because it's always a risk that you will receive returned or floor sample merchandise. He was sooooo rude and didn't want to help me, and I heard him make a racial remark on Armenians. Others have had the same experience too. We came to Bloomingdale's because of my 17yr olds exhaustive search for "the perfect" prom dress. We (seemingly) visited every mall and boutique (in Ventura county) and decided to try something different. My daughter did find a dress "that would work" in a boutique in this mall but to be through we decided to go to Bloomingdale's. I knew right away experience was going to be different as she immediately picked out over 5 dresses to try in her size and in style she liked. Much different than our experiences at other department stores and boutiques. Finally, she found the perfect dress and it was on sale! While it was expensive the "damage " could have been worse, lol. So in-terms of inventory/selection/size/style Bloomingdale's gets the highest rating possible...next time we'll start here! My biggest complaint about this location is the poor and seemingly indifferent service. I asked an attendent for access to a dressing room and while she said, "I'll be there" she never came back to us. We stood around until some other attendant asked "do you need a fitting room?"...my wife, my daughter and me all holding dresses. Lastly, after we purchased the dress...and got home. My daughter discovered the security ink pod was still attached to the dress. Had to drive back from Ventura county to Glendale to have the security thing removed. I blame myself for not double checking but still isn't the removal of this thing part of the check out process ? If you can forgive bad service or at least be prepared for it...Bloomingdale's has an awesome inventory (for prom dresses for sure). read more

I purchased a "Simple Human Sensor Mirror" at the end of November, 2025. The order was placed at the Bloomingdale's store and delivered to my home address at the beginning of December 2025. The mirror started malfunctioning some 2 months later. Bloomingdale's customer service refused a refund or exchange of the product because their return policy for return is 30 days. So, Bloomingdale's is selling electronics but does not guarantee the quality? Next time I go to Walmart. Their return policy is 90 days. read more

The employees are extremely rude and miserable, clearly they steal a lot in that mall because an older employee watched me as I tried on the display shoes looking to purchase some beautiful heels for a birthday party that I was so excited to attend and as I'm walking around to the other side of the display the miserable older employee asks me where was the shoe that I just tried on mind you a DISPLAY shoe why would I take 1 display shoe anyways , I had JUST put back the shoe onto the display and mind you guys this man was already hawking me down every heel I tried on so he very clearly saw me put it down we both made eye contact and this man acted as if I was going to shove it in my pink tabby coach PURSE which is the only bag and item that I had on me no shopping bags just my little pink tabby coach and if you love bags how I do what shoe could possibly fit in that purse he's clearly senile and needs to be removed making customers uncomfortable, I was so disturbed by this old man's tone behavior and audacity that I just ended up walking out the store , this store is full of old miserable employees and I rather drive to the south coast plaza to never encounter any of these people again !! They allowed me to place an online order to be expedited (I paid for extra shipping cost) so that I could bring this with me on a trip. All great so far the rep Jesse was outstanding in helping me. That's when the wheels came off. Their system was not able to send me the order receipt even after requesting to 2 times and taking an additional 15 minutes waiting for the email until finally the rep sent it to me from his personal email. 1 hour later they cancelled my order because I was on the phone when a text came in that asked me to respond with a "Y" to confirm the order. I called their consumer protection call center as instructed and was promptly told that the order could not be reinstated and that the system follow up requesting it be reinstated was declined. I was then told to go purchase it at a store. Only problem is there isn't a store anywhere within at least 150 miles. I asked for a supervisor and he said the stem had made the determination and it was final. Are you kidding me??? This is the way Bloomingdale's interacts with their customers! If I could put ZERO STARS I would. Do not shop here. read more

Bloomingdales deactivates all credits and gift cards after 6 months. When a customer tries to use one of these payment methods, the salesperson tells them the card has no funds on it and the customer assumes thet used it and they throw it away. The salesperson never tells the customer the card has been deactivated. They intentionally do this so the customer throws it away and Bloomingdales keeps the money as pure profit. I can assure you that Bloomingdales makes most of it's profits from this scam. read more

"bHelpful" counter needs to be renamed to "LEAST helpful". Ordered a pair of shoes online to be picked up in the Burbank location. - Young male associate extended almost no help for the order. - Thankfully I asked that the mailing box it was shipped in be open to see if my order was correct. - IT WAS NOT - associate - without looking up - asked if I wanted to return the shoes that were the wrong size. Of course I did! - he then proceeds to go about looking on the computer system. I think he is helping to rectify Bloomingdale's mistake. NOPE! He had ZERO INTENTION to help correct the error. The whole time he was simply trying to print a return receipt. - I was then asked by this associate to use my phone to take a picture of the printed return receipt because he could not print me one. - I was then handed a list of numbers so I could call different Bloomingdale's to see if they had my correct size. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE - it has been 7 days since this visit and I finally got an email saying they received my return and will be issuing a refund. 7 days with no refund even though they had the shoes. I attempted to get a replacement but was greeted by a woman named Sharon who told me that I was passed the 90 day return window and that this is "normal wear and tear on the item". Since when did a 600 dollar bottle of perfume experience wear and tear after 10 percent use? Terrible service. I purchased an overcoat here a week and a half ago. Initially I had a good experience, I went in to look and try them on and then looked at other stores in the mall before deciding and ordering it online for pickup. When I got the coat home, I immediately noticed that it appeared to be either a return or display item; it appeared worn, the extra button was missing from the pouch, and none of the pockets/vents were stitched. I love the coat though, so I decided to exchange it for exactly the same item. I had a work trip last week so today was the first day I was free to bring it back. I brought it in at 3:30pm today, with the tags, receipt, and bag I received with it, and spoke with the floor manager on duty for the men's department. She basically told me I'm lying and it's impossible that I received it in that condition because they "know their inventory and wouldn't send it out like that." Ok, so why am I trying to exchange it? I don't even want a refund, I just want a coat in acceptable condition, but apparently I'm forced to take responsibility for their mistakes. I'll be talking to corporate and issuing a charge back if they can't fix this. I used to work in service (including processing returns) for over a decade so I try to be exceedingly nice to staff, but I've never had such a bad experience as today. I recently got a new job that requires me to dress in business professional/casual a lot more, and I will definitely be purchasing my suits and other clothing from Nordstrom, Saks, and elsewhere because this is absolutely ridiculous. read more

I shopped for about 20 minutes, paying attention to the clearance racks with an extra % discount. There was one associate in Men's Fragrances who did not acknowledge me and a group of three associates/ managers in Men's Clothing trading store gossip. I came back an hour(11 am) later and looked thru the sake racks again. This location does not carry Polo Ralph Lauren, but it usually a small amount or returned merchandise. I found a pair of overalls ( very rare) and a button front shirt. Now the challenge of buying. I went up to two manager looking people, and the woman looked at me as if offended for being mistaken for a sales person. I think all bloomies staff should be trained to use a cash register, Luckily, Mickey rang uo my sale and she was quick and efficient. Upon my request, she allowed me to take Best Holiday Ever catalog with me. Another manager type informed me id received $25 from my LoyalList account that I could use the following day. I left very satisfied and would recommend Mickey to other shoppers. read more

This place is literally the most unwelcoming place in Glendale. When we walked in we were welcomed by a really nice security, but most of the staff at the cosmetics counters look at you like your a bum walking in from skid row. I couldn't believe the faces they were giving me and my family. I was afraid to even touch anything. I never felt so low in the Glendale galleria in my life. Came back again because I needed to return a pair of (unworn) shoes. The person shouted at me and told me she can't take it back because I already wore them out. I tried them on one time at my home , found out it wasn't the right size but never wore them old. The bottom of the shoes were already slightly stained when I bought them because one was a floor model. This was a terrifying experience for me. I was asked to take it to a different department and the associate had no issues with the shoes and processed the return for me without making accusations and shouting at me. Beware of this store! I think the Sherman Oaks Bloomingdales and the Bloomingdales in South Coast Plaza are way better than this one. The service was good but the layout is very weird. I did get a price adjustment on something I ordered online which was nice. They always ask you if it was purchased within 7 days. I always just let them know that that policy is only for clothing purchased in the store. I did receive the item within 7 days though:). At some of the Bloomingdales they will be really stuck up but the service here was spectacular to the previous time that I got a price adjustment. read more

So I came here yesterday to get a new LV card holder , my fiancé bought me one last may for my birthday and the keychain part broke off so I been meaning to go get a new one , I heard something that they would swap it out for a new one but honestly I never believed In that though so yesterday I went asked for my same card holder which they had in stock so I told them I wanted that one plus 2 others that I ended up getting & I went forward with telling them what happened to mine so she looked in the system to see when my fiancé bought it etc which it showed so she called her manager in charge and told him the situation and they literally said don't worry we are going to swap it out and give you a brand new one ! Which I was so happy with like I went in knowing I was goin to buy one but they came thru clutched and honored what they say they'd do for damaged products ! Curbside pickup was extremely easy, I placed my order online and within an hour I received a text that my order was ready for pickup. Given the congestion in Glendale I thought it would be a tough pickup ordeal but there was a very convenient designated curbside-pickup area right in front of the store on the corner of Brand and Broadway. I pulled up, called the number and the attendant brought my package right out. I asked her if she could get me a gift box and she was nice enough to make sure to find a large box for my purchase. I was very pleased because I couldn't find this particular MCM backpack anywhere else, not even at the MCM boutique, so finding it here and ease of pickup made it a very pleasant experience. 10/10 will shop again! read more

Somehow Bloomies Glendale customer service has gotten worst. It's the reason why I prefer shopping at SCP Bloomies. This location lacks reason. Returns have been so awful. I came to return an online order that was used upon delivery. I had the receipt and returned it 1 day after receiving it. Per Bloomies policy, they can't refund the item in store. They must send it to the warehouse and the warehouse will refund it to me. 8 business days later, refund still pending. What's the point of driving to the store to return an item, when you were going to print a return label for me to return to the warehouse. Common sense, I could've done at the convenience of a UPS down the street from me rather than driving in store for you to do what I could've done. Every DAMN time my mom and I walk into this store we get followed by vultures who assume we aren't going to buy anything or that we may steal. The other day I went shopping with my mom, I had my toddler with me. My mom went into Gucci alone just to check if the bag she's been eyeing was still there and a sales associate had the audacity to try to embarrass my mom and say her shoes don't exist. I was in another part of the store tending to my daughter but all I see is my mom walking back to me clearly uncomfortable and upset but she didn't tell me until we got into the car.
