We bought jewelry supposedly made from gold, with all certifications, which however turned to be made from silver as it is leaving dark marks on the skin like only silver products do. we have calked, complained... they requested documentation, promised to either take it back or give a huge discount... after we sent the requested documentation and several unanswered follow up emails, nothing happened... just nothing, and done pint we dimply forgot and gave up... but, that is surprising and unbelievable... who would think??? their reputation is ruined. open yo discuss this incident with whoever contacts me, bit again, you pay a lot of money and simply get something else, cheaper... unbelievable read more

Talk about worst customer service ever!!! I have a bunch of gift cards to use and I wasn't able to find something I wanted to purchase the day I visited the store. But, I asked whether I can use over 10 gift cards and they told me probably not and to go to customer service to combine those gift cards. I go to customer service and asked to combine gift cards and the guy told me it was not possible. So I ask how many gift cards I can use in a single transaction. He says unlimited, but then another guy says it's only 3 per transaction. So I asked what should I do if the item I want to purchase is way more than 3 gift cards can cover and I have more than 10 that I want to use? They said I can only use 3 and I have to use a debit card for the balance. But these are not promotional cards, they're gift cards! Then a girl behind him suggested a few alternatives but the guy shot her down on every suggestion. When they were done, I asked what should I do then. And he shouts to the next person in line "NEXT". Our conversation was not finished. My problem isn't solved. How can he just ignore me then start assisting another customer?! I have never ever encountered such rude service from any store, let alone at a higher end department store! Wow, just wow. So Rude. Parking at the galleria is free, with a few free EV charging stations scattered through out the parking structure. The Americana parking structure charges for parking though. So I have been a Bloomingdale's client my entire life. My mom has been shopping here (at the Sherman Oaks location) since long before I was born. However, after a few dozen times of sub-par customer service at the Sherman Oaks location, I decided to try the Glendale location. Initially, the first time I came here was with my then-fiancée. We purchased items for our (then-upcoming) Wedding. Unfortunately, the engagement was broke off, and the wedding never happened. This past week, I had to come in and exchange items for my wedding that was not going to be happening anymore. As you can imagine, I am currently going through so much stress, a range of emotions and was feeling sick/depressed going to return the items for our wedding. Arshen, a tall, dark haired man in the Men's department, was so kind. He helped me so much with so much empathy and patience. I truly have never had someone treat me with such respect at ANY Bloomingdales location. THANK YOU Arshen!! You have no idea how much this "small" interaction meant to me. Upon trying to return the pair of shoes the representative fraudulently transferred both shoe returns onto a gift card. When I realized this a week later it was too late. I just had a very disturbing experience with a customer service worker at this location. My mother had noticed she was missing an item refund from a couple days ago and came to ask to resolve the issue. She spoke to the same individual that helped her return the items only a couple days ago. After numerous attempts to make this individual understand the situation, he refused to believe my mother and said there was nothing he or the management could do. I understand there is always procedures to follow for the store, however, the way it went about was very disappointing. I hope this isn't a constant issue among others, but judging from the reviews, it doesn't have the best reputation. Expected more from a "high end" store. read more

I have been to this location a lot the last few months. I love this store since it does range from most high end and low end designers. I been to the fragrance, makeup, men's, and shoe department so boy oh boy does it matter who you interact with. I never had such strong feels for a store before because I had such great and THE worst experience here. MAKEUP/FRAGRANCE SECTION: The first time I came here, I didn't see many people working, but I saw 3 sales associates standing around just gossiping. No hello. No acknowledgement. NOTHING. I even passed by them and I was trying to ask a question, but they were too busy laughing and gossiping. I eventually made my way to the fragrance section and just picked up some things I needed. I even went to the Mac section, because the other counters were just too busy gossiping. The second time I came here I had the same thing happen, so I was starting to think they are here to not work, but gossip. LOUIS VUITTON: I wanted to buy a bag and a sales associate came to me right away. I guess with this brand, the SAs have to be great. The person who helped me literally suggested and let me try almost all the handbags. I spent at least an hour here, but considering how much you are spending, you better be sure on what you want to get. GUCCI: After I got my Louis Vuitton, I came here on a whim because it was literally next door. I was helped by a female sales associate, and she let me try on this bag I was eyeing. Long story short, my husband called and I had to leave. She looked like she was angry because she wasn't going to make a sale. I asked her for a card because I was really interested in that bag, but she was basically angry that I was leaving without purchasing the bag. I can see the anger on her face! MENS SECTION: Ok so I didn't buy anything from here but I had to return something. I felt like I was being interrogated and massively questioned about my return. So the tag wasn't on it, but I bought it the day before. She wanted to know why the tag wasn't attached, the story, and probably wanted my social security number to do a background check. It wasn't a pleasant experience. SHOE SECTION: I passed by randomly one day, and I saw a ballet flat from Tory Burch that I just had to have. I literally own this style in every color except this one apparently. The sales guy helped me very quickly and even suggested other pairs. To break it down, the fragrance section, Louis Vuitton, mac section - the sales associates are great. HOWEVER, the Gucci and men's section is something I will never come here for. The other thing is that if you want to return something, you have to walk to every section of what you want to return. I had a few items that I got online so I had to go to EVERY single department to return an item one by one. That is just ridiculous. I am completely turned off by Bloomingdales now, and I wont shop here again. I might come to the Louis Vuitton section since it is easier then going to Rodeo. read more

That said, I came in today to get a Ferragamo belt I purchased online shortened & was assisted by a gentleman named Tom Ash (he wasn't wearing a nametag or anything so I really hope I didn't butcher that). Mr. Ash was polite, efficient, & gracious - a true professional who obviously took pride in his work. I was wearing workout clothes but he took the time to get me a pair of jeans in my size so that he could accurately measure where I would want the belt to rest on my waist. He made sure to answer all my questions & that the alterations were to my satisfaction, all with a manner so elegant that a simple errand was elevated into a pleasant experience. I came here for a friend who wanted a second hand look at pre-owned Rolex that Bloomingdale's was offering first look for preferred buyers. My friend spends quite a bit at Bloomingdale's so she get's first glance at many new items and specials. She's also a Rolex collector who was invited to get screening for a special feature of pre-owned Rolex. In fact, when she heard the Glendale store had the GMT Master II with the Pepsi bezel she bought it over the phone thru her regular sales person. That specific watch is a collectors item so she jumped on it. The watch was supposed to be ready for pick up and her regular sales person was on their day off. So, someone lady behind the counter and anther lady came to assist. Both couldn't reach my friend's sales person nor could verify where the watch was. Of course, she was skeptical that my friend purchased it and they couldn't find the paperwork. Upon waiting, we looked at other pre-owned Rolex. The sales lady who came over to assist was quite snooty helping us. Didn't know a think about fine watches. Usually, most fine jewelers use a pad underneath time pieces to protect it from other surfaces. This lady flung it on the glass. Also, these sales persons didn't know a thing about these watches. The watches also weren't cleaned, had finger prints all over, not buffed, had scratches, and were not wound. Any shop with fine watches should know how to handle these and take care of time pieces. They were able to find the watch and the inventory guy came out acting like security standing in front of us like he was a cop. The item was already purchased so I'm not sure why they were worried. At this point, we were tired, annoyed. The watch itself wasn't clean and had a few scratches and not prepped for proper sale like the other watches we viewed. Scratches are common and easy to fix with some light buffing. The sales person also didn't know the history of the watch and didn't have the certificate of authenticity. Annoyed, my friend returned the watch with a big F.U. Skip the jewelry department here. read more

Definitely one of my favorite retailers. I love the way most of the brands they carry - at least last season when I went . Were well selected for the store . I found what I needed. 99% of the time I shop on Bloomingdales.com but I had the rare urge to shop in person that day . I'm a man that's tall with a more muscular "v" shaped torso so it can be a challenge to find something that fits me well . I usually have to settle for something " slim fit " that I find terribly tight as my shoulders can be too broad for cuts like that . So I usually stick to thier in house label to find items that I can wear. I also find thier in house lable to ironically last longer than some of the name brand designers they carry . Hard to believe that this mighty Bloomingdale's was once the Glendale Galleria's Mervyn's store. Many dollars later, it's a hit. They even extended the storefront out into the mall to build separate Gucci and Louis Vuitton stores within the Bloomingdale's -- perfect for triple or quadruple point Bloomindale events. Speaking of the Gucci within the Bloomingdale's store, it's not bad. Ask for Holland and she will make your Gucci-related wishes come true; get on Holland's email list and you will always be in the know. The Vuitton store is also handy. The Bloomingdale's sales never apply in these two boutique stores, but the points promotions always do. And speaking of Gucci, the Bloomingdale's itself has got a great mens' shoe department with an excellent selection of Gucci and Ferragamo offerings (ask for James and he will hook you up with any promotions). There's always a rack of sale shoes that sometimes contains gems. During friends and family events or other sales, those sale shoes can be had for a song. The sale events are when I stock up on Bloomingdale's-brand cedar shoe trees -- I love that smell and keep them in every pair of shoes. Your shoes will thank you, Yelpers. The rest of the store is always neat and clean, and my experience is that the Glendale Bloomingdale's salespeople are attentive without being pushy. Minus one star for not having a restaurant. One of my favorite department stores, this location in the Glendale Galleria has Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, and my personal favorite, Gucci. It's a no brainer just to come here to get a quick look at fashion. If only there was Prada too lol... The Jo Malone counter is basically close to a stand alone boutique. I also appreciate Sisley and SpaceNK being here, too. I also enjoy the Men's accessories and shoes departments. They are well merchandised and I received great service from a sales associate there. She let me look at a bunch of different handbags and wallets that were tethered and locked-up. She didn't mind at all letting me take a look at everything and touching the merchandise, even though I was just browsing. I did end buying some designer shoes, however. Bloomingdales is my favorite store, always has been and always will be. It's one the few stores in a mall so the high quality men's clothing. Whenever a mall has a Bloomingdales, it's my only destination. I usually shop at the Century City Bloomingdales because I live walking distance, it has a small men's department and not a whole lot to choose from but a great housewares department. I made the trip up here to buy a specific item which was out of stock but I decided to stick around and check All Saints. The All Saints department here is fully stocked and has a great selection. The salespeople at this Bloomingdales aren't pushy and annoying like other retail environments. A young lady helped me in a fitting room and assisted me with ringing me up and made my shopping experience great. 5 stars for this store's selection, ambiance, and staff. read more

I was looking for a specific jewellery brand that they happened not to carry at this Bloomingdale-Glendale. The way I was talked to was quite rude, dismissive and I was treated as if I was some sort of person who would never buy. They were very pushy, vultures-like, they pointed at some emeralds, they were alright. But sorry ladies, I got myself a 7 karat one a few years ago in Europe, plus I got one in the 90's, thus spare me your attitude. Particularly dismissive was a petite woman associate, thin and with straight hair, well she had an devilish manner, oh so unpleasant. Never ever again will walk by here. Also, I wish to share with Yelp community that I did not mean at all to brag about what I have. I like this Bloomingdale's location in the newly renovated Glendale Galleria. I like that they have APC jeans. I also dig that they carried clothing & skateboard decks that are part of the Shut NYC x Pepsi collabo. The Gucci & Louis Vuitton boutiques are small but they carry all the essentials. Customer service at both have always been friendly & helpful. I buy my best friend products from Laura Mercier every year for the holidays and for the past 2 years I've gotten them at Bloomingdale's. Ivania Jara (whose name I learned just this past year) has helped me both years. She actually remembered me from the previous year and that I was shopping for my best friend. She is so friendly and helpful. She's at the Laura Mercier counter and is that brand's business manager for the store. Her customer service is top notch and I really feel my return business is because of her. It's funny because in our short conversations when I was buying the gift, we both found out that she knew my best friend & actually went to HS with her. Haha... Amazing. It was meant to be. Terrible experience. I tried to return a Balenciaga bag. Even though it was brand new, never used and within the return policy period they refused to take it back. They claimed that it was Balenciaga's representative decision despite the fact that I purchased the item inside the Bloomingdale's store. They are usually very nice when I spend thousands of dollars there but when I once tried to return an item they basically told me that I should have no hopes to get helped. This is the Glendale store and the manager I had the interaction with was Bryan Alcala. The Balenciaga manager at the Bloomingdal's was Yolanda Johnson who was extremely rude and arrogant. She should have no business of dealing with people. All she cares is to get the commission, after that you are no one to her. read more

I asked if she had any shape wear that would help me feel a bit more snug in this dress I was wearing, because I just had my first son 4 months ago and I've been dealing with some really heavy body image issues ever since. She related to me 100%. She took the time to help me pick out the best shape wear, the best jewelry, she put me in shoes and made it a whole moment. I didn't go into the store expecting to feel good in anything, and she made me feel like a beautiful momma. For the first time since before my pregnancy I felt confident, I felt beautiful. It went beyond customer service, she was invested in making me see how beautiful I still am. AND she got me walking out the door with everything of my choice for an amazing deal. I came in around 12-1 looking for Christmas present but I came across a rude Bloomingdale employee. I walked over to the kiosk and started to smell the By Kilian fragrance then an associate came over and said "Let me know what you're looking for and I can assist you". I then asked for the one with hints of coffee but she said they didn't have one like that. They DO it's called Momento Mori. But, Her response was, "We don't have anything like that". Honestly, sephora only has 4-6 in display I wanted to discover a new scent and I have already fallen in love with two of their fragrance. But her attitude was so off putting I decided to shop online and get my mom's hand bag elsewhere. 1700+230 is what this employee's attitude missed out on that hour. I wish she'd change her attitude but not as much as me wishing she toned her yellow blonde hair and use a darker liner for that vivid magenta/red lipstick. It's just didn't look right. read more

I found several great options, and appreciated feedback from one of the saleswomen on which dress would be best for the event. I also found some nice accessories as well, which will go with other outfits in the future. The layout is pretty straightforward, and I like the vibe as well. I'm happy I came here, and had a good experience. You can tell the folks who work here know their stuff, and have integrity, which is really nice and refreshing. The men's section at the Glendale Bloomingdale's is very nice. It has lots of designer brand names and is laid out very well. Some brands they carry are Hugo Boss, John Varvatos, SuperDry, Theory, Michael Kors, and Armani. I think it's slightly smaller than the Century City location. You can find just about any designer brand you like here. Although, one brand I wished they carried is Fidelity Denim (my new favorite jeans), which is at Nordstrom. I came here because i bought some items online that I decided not to keep and Glendale is the nearest to my house. The return was easy and painless. Customer service is top notch and that's what makes Bloomingdale's so popular. This location opened middle to late in 2013, so it looks brand new and sparkly. (I looked it up and this location opened on November 8, 2013). I suppose Bloomingdale's had to compete with Nordstrom Glendale (Americana) which opened on September 20, 2013. Xie Xie! read more

I've shopped at this Bloomingdale's several times but it was my first time going in for alterations. I needed a dress shortened (which was purchased there) and everything was fine but I noticed there is no information on pricing for alterations, at all. After getting fitted I headed to the register figuring I'd have to pay but when I asked for a pricing list for alterations I was told they did not have any information and that the tailor was the one with the pricing information but the tailor didn't give me any information and she was long gone by the time I was out of the dressing room so I just headed over blindly to the register to pay. I personally think that by the time someone is at the register ready to pay they should know how much it costs. I paid $60 by the way. read more

This is by far the worst Bloomingdale's ever. My recent experience was yesterday when I went in to buy a gift card. I bought a $250 gift card and guess what? They don't have a box to put the card in it. No one is trying to help, they send me from counter to counter to look for a gift box and finally I found one at the jewelry counter. I even asked 2 managers and they keep sending me around and don't even care that I'm a customer and it's their job to find a solution. My other experience was about 1-2 months ago. I bought a $480 Tom Ford Sunglasses from Sherman oaks and from day one the screw on the right handle kept getting loose (also it was the last pair on display). Since I loved it and I didn't want to return I took it to this local eyeglass place where they fixed it and charge me $15. Few months passed and same thing happened and another $15 and this time the guy told me "why don't you return it cause there is an issue maybe from the inside that the screw keeps getting loose". A month passed and it got loose again so I went to Glendale store with the original box, receipt, and everything included even the tags. I could have lied like most their customers at this location but I was honest and told my story and they said if it's used we can't return it. She called the manager who was a skinny young blonde girl (her name was I think Jessica or Jennifer). She comes and trying to be faking her apology and telling me if I have my receipts for repair she will reimburse me but can't return the glasses. I said at least exchange it since they had one on display. She said she can't. While the first employee who refused to return my item, told me to attach the tags and go to another store and don't give them the details and just ask for a return, interesting ha? Well, honey I remember your name but don't want to throw you under the bus so shame on you for teaching me this. What did I do? I sold the glasses on eBay as is and went a bought a new one from Nordstrom. Funny that the manager offered me a free car charger cause she felt bad for all the problems I went through but didn't want to fix the problem. And my recipe clearly shows that it was 9 months ago that I had purchased the glasses so by policy they should have returned it. read more

This review is really written about Suzy, older thin Caucasian lady working in the men's department. She is the rudest person every single time. Smiling when someone tries to be friendly might crack her face. I often see her glaring at other kids. But today was the worst. I come here and shop a lot. Had to return something. Had a stroller, two boys and a handful of shopping bags and stood in line. She saw me, finished helping her customer and walked away to the next register to help someone else. I walked up to her and asked her if she was just refusing to help me. Her response was she didn't see me. She looked me in the eye and saw me waiting. We're pretty hard to miss.
