Shopping in Glendale, California... My main goal was to shop at Five Below... however, they didn't have a restroom... When nature calls, you gotta answer! I asked the clerk at Five Below, where the nearest restroom was. She directed me to HomeGoods "downstairs ". HomeGoods is a chain that doesn't exist in Hawaii. It was a great reason to look around... I enjoyed the clean, organized environment! The various merchandise ranged from blankets, pillows, and lamps to greeting cards, seasonal decor (Halloween), and Hello Kitty items like sheet sets, salt and pepper shakers, and a figurine! Am I the only person who feels like they never find really good stuff here? It's this location specifically! No matter how often I come here, I walk out empty handed and that doesn't happen often shopping at a home goods. Overall the store seems well stocked and they have the basics but I never find what I'm looking for here. Maybe it's just me. The CUSTOMER SERVICE, is the only reason I am giving this home goods a one star. I have a home goods addiction, so this pains me deeply because I literally live 5 mins away from this location and have furnished my apartment through the seasons for the last 3 years. This is the third incident I have had where I feel profiled, the cashiers have pulled out a sales gun to double check that the merchandise is truly on sale. I understand scams and thefts are at all time high, I personally do not need to change the price on a $7 candle or $50 rug. Finally, on this last incident I asked "is there a problem with the ticket" and her response was, "I didn't know this was on sale". I never knew a sales associate knows every item that is on sale at home goods, since this isn't the first time, I can say I'm being profiled. Never going back here! read more

Home decor, kitchen supplies, bathroom accessories, stationary, seasonal decor. You will find it here. Also a great place to do holiday shopping. Every time I visit my daughters in Glendale, i have to stop at this TJ Maxx Home Goods Store in Brand! Its on the street level but if you park in the parking lot, just take the escalator to the ground floor. This store is huge with "tons" of merchandise! I love that it has furniture: sofas, tables, chairs. bookcases, etc, kitchen: dishes, glassware, pots & pans, storage containers, knife sets, every gadget you might need! Tablecloths, placemats, vases, candles, etc. Bedroom & bathroom: accessories, towels, pillows, sheets, blankets & comforters. They even sell curtains and room darkening drapes. Be sure to check the length you need! Then there are cards, stationery, wrapping paper, etc. This store even has a nice garden section with planters, artificial flowers and Wreaths! I was there during Thanksgiving and there were so many seasonal decorations and gifts galore! So festive and makes you Smile! I wish I would be there for the After Christmas sale! Ladies at cash registers are so nice and fast too! Many times when i have purchased shopping carts full, they watch it so i can bring my car to the loading zone! So easy! Very interesting that as Halloween is coming to an end I saw all the Halloween Hello kitty merch out. It seems as though an employee might be holding items in the back and putting them out last minute. I suspect a reseller amongst the team this seems to happen often with the seasonal Hello Kitty merchandise. That is unfair to the customers and collectors. read more

Nice location, compared to other locations that I've been to it was well put, clean, and many of the employees I saw were actively cleaning and minding the shelves. I was able to find a really expensive Dutch oven for a quarter of the price, some really cool whiskey glasses, in addition to a phenomenal acrylic backgammon set. I thought it was gonna be a hassle coming here because it's by the busy americana but if you enter to the back of the building you will find that it is directly across the street from the parking lot which offers free parking for 90 minutes. I don't know if I'll be back because there's still so many other HomeGoods to explore and they all have different finds available. Pro tip is to keep a good eye for what is placed behind things many people shop here and place some of the best items behind things(employees too) as though they're going to come back BUT don't. So... Come with your brass knuckles... I am absolutely kidding come with a lot of patience because it doesn't matter how clean or how good a customer service a particular store has, one thing that there always is are crazy lines!!! read more

I am very very disappointed and upset with this store location. I was issued a merchandise credit last year in November 2023 for a return. I gave the merchandise credit to my sister to use and she attempted to use it at the end of the month of last year. My sister informed me that the sales associate swiped the card and asked for her name and apparently since it did not match what was entered (my name was entered when I received the merch credit for the return), she was told that the person whom the credit was issued to had to use it. Fine. Now we assume the transaction is canceled. My sister made her purchase with her own credit card. Fast forward one year later, I go to Home Goods to make a purchase and told the balance on the merchandise credit is $0. I called the customer service to inquire about any transaction made on the card, and informed that in fact a purchase was made in November 2023. Which means the sales associate never canceled the transaction and the merchandise card was used and had a $0 balance. However, the sales associate rang up my sister the second time and my sister paid for her items with her own credit card again. Of course customer service is refusing to assist with this and I lost my $55 in merchandise credit. I am really upset about this and Home Goods Glendale, you guys suck. In case this happens to anyone else, please make sure you check the balance of your store credit before leaving the store. read more

I am so disappointed and upset at this location. I bought a dog bed from here and didn't think I needed a bag during my check out. After shopping around other stores, I realized it would be easier if I had a bag. I went back in and asked an employee for a bag. She sees me holding the dog bed and rudely asked if I got it from here. I said yes and she said I would need a receipt to prove it. It would make sense if they don't have plastic bags but only have reusable bags like some stores. The rudeness from this employee for me so upset! I wanted to return that item right there and then. Also, the attitude she gave me was in front of people where they were all starring at me! This place seriously need to better train their employees with customer service. read more

Tried to find more of the products I liked from another store and the customer service help was so challenging even talking to the manager. There was no want to communicate and show them the pics of exactly what I got at their other store and they said I would have to go to all the stores in LA vs being able to check it for me. Couldn't even email the manager to send them the photos of their products. Felt like I was back on the 80's with technology and subpar customer service. ‍ So frustrating their theirs are secret and can't be given to communicate with costumers. Visiting Homegoods has alway been a treasure hunt. This is one place we come every so often to find a replacement rug in our living room. Mostly, the large format rugs are made in Europe (Belgium, Turkey and etc). The quality is very good and always one of a kind. I highly recommend here to find unique pieces for your home. read more

I generally love shopping at Homegoods, but this is not only the messiest Homegoods, it is by far the messiest store I may have ever been in. It is completely unacceptable for such a large chain. Both the clientele and staff contribute to the mess because I witnessed customers creating it, while I did not see any employees organizing it. I saw a customer place her dog on one of the cat scratchers to test it? When I was in line to make my purchase, there was only one slow cashier, even though there was a line forming. When I was walking out, I saw there was another cashier at the front, but again, that line was backed up. It just looked like they were understaffed for the weekend evening high foot traffic. This location is horrible, the customer service sucks. No one wants to help you, you ask them a question they get annoyed lol they don't want to do anything for you. They're all miserable working there especially the middle eastern ones. I find great joy coming to this store and window-shopping for home decor for a hike that I don't even live in her and probably won't for the next ten years. I appreciate finding different colored themes among their plates, utensils and kitchenware, along with their other types of beautiful home decor. There's always something I have found that I still use to this day from this store. Last time, I spotted one of those cute pink Impressions vanity mirrors that light up for under $20. I also bought a nice full-length mirror for my room and most recently, a monthly planner. It's a little bit more rare in finding monthly planners because the usually ones at stores have the daily pages also that I never use--and the colors aren't that nice. I always manage to find unique independent company items that I feel better about supporting all for a bargain of a reduced price (this one was only $5). The only con about this place is the fact that we have to pay for the parking after 90 minutes which isn't the case for other Home Goods locations. Homegoods Glendale has stuff for the home like furniture, housewares, giftwares, wall art, bed, bath, gourmet foods and more... They have a huge pet department too. After Thanksgiving to New Years, they carry an assortment of gourmet gift baskets. Don't be fooled... Homegoods is off-priced shopping. So you can't be upset if you buy outdated designer goods. They are still great brands (Nicole Miller, Tommy Hilfiger, Vera Wang, Yankee Candle and much more...) I used my $3 Verizon Wireless rewards on a bath sponge set. It was originally like $16.99 product off-priced at $3.99, add tax $4.40 minus the reward, I paid $1.40 out of pocket. That was the best deal ever. I completely Homegoods (a TJMaxx Company) and Verizon Wireless Rewards. I would say that Homegoods has plenty deals under $10. Like what: bath accessories, candies, snacks, stationary, drinkware, pet things... And the highest priced probably furniture like $549.99. You could spend all day looking and/or buying practical basics. If you haven't been there yet, you should at least go look. You'll be surprised. read more

I am used to how sweet and kind the employees are at my local Homegoods.The manager came around and made a rude comment to a customer that was paying. I couldn't believe how out of line this manager was to this customer who was just asking a question. I love home goods for home and garden decor but it's the gnocchi that will have me visiting again soon. These things were vacuum sealed and on an isle with pots, I believe. The texture is Perfect, tender, doughy, and delicious. So tasty with both Alfredo and vodka sauce. Paired well with chicken and broccoli in the Alfredo. I think they were around $5; the quantity and quality are both great for the price. In need of new pots and pans myself, I will be back soon for those and more of this fantastic gnocchi find. read more

The good: They have a large toy section and a big pet corner. The cashier was friendly and quick. She double bagged items she thought were heavy because she knew I'd be carrying a lot of items by myself to my car. Diffusers here were way cheaper than the ones I thought about buying at Target and Amazon. I got a deluxe Scrabble board here that swivels for $99 here when it is normally over $100 on other websites. They also sell a lot of board games and gift baskets for the holidays. Homegoods is my go to place for planners, notepads, candles, pillows, holiday decor, gift bags, cards, and kitchen supplies. I was impressed by their card section because they were mostly $1.99 and there were many relevant/trendy ones related to 2020/COVID-times. The bad: You have to park across the street in a public parking garage. It's free for the first 90 minutes but if you're like me, you'll be in Home Goods for longer than that. You also cannot push your cart into the parking garage so you have to carry all of your bags or drive your car up to the curbside. One of the cash register ladies prompted for the next customer to come to her station when she wasn't done yet while another just verbally yelled out for the next person instead of prompting the recording that tells you which cashier to go to. They also had some cashier stations open despite the light being off so it was a little hectic and all over the place. The store is very big but the layout is a little confusing. I saw diffusers in one part of the store but the same brand diffuser at a different part of the store (but different scents). There were also throws in the back blanket section but also an entire throw section near the Christmas area (that included non-Christmas throws). They sell tons of wreaths but I didn't see one wreath hanger for sale. The interesting: I saw Timothee Chalamet's doppelgänger here. With masks these days there are increased chances of people being doppelgängers. They also allow dogs! I saw a cute pit-bull and a labradoodle shopping here. I also bought a pair of 2 Christmas stockings and came home to find a third stocking was stuffed into one of the 2 stockings. I didn't notice it at all when I had purchased it. I thought that it was a little puffy because it was stuffed with tissue or bubble wrap to make it look fuller. They have two entrances to the store. read more

I'm in love with Homegoods and specially this store. Located in the center of Glendale and there is plenty of parking eulogy across the street and it's free for the first 90 minutes. The store is usually overstocked and there is merchandise in every corner. My only issue with this store is not having enough staff on the floor and not having enough cashiers. The employees working on the floor usually don't know where things are and don't even try to help you find an item. Other than these 2 issues the store is pretty organized and have a large selection of everything. read more

This is an amazing store! We came here to look for wine bags, and instead started meandering through the aisles looking at the various offerings. It's like Christmas in December... Oh wait. I've always wondered where Home Goods gets their supplies. I mean, where can you get Starbucks Cocoa, step can trash cans, and... Wait for it... a Global kitchen knife? I almost dropped my jaw when I was rummaging through the kitchenware section and out of nowhere, I see a Global kitchen knife still in the box. After seeing the insanely low price of $70, I decide to whip out my iPhone and fire up the Amazon app. To my surprise, I find the same knife - which Amazon says I paid $110 almost a decade ago. Of course I snapped this up. Never mind my original knife is still in excellent working order. Can't wait to go back next time and see what's in store! read more

Oh where does one start?? First of all, it's structured paid parking behind the store unless you luck out and find a spot on the street in the front of the store. The first 90 minutes are free. Upon entering the store I was excited about all the fall items in the store. Yay! We weren't in a huge hurry so we walked all about looking for the perfect items to decorate our homes. The thing is... prices have really gone and what used to be a great hodge podge discount store, has become yet another, not so great store. But regardless, we were there, we didn't want to leave empty handed and found a few items that made us smile. Then....The line! Holy crap, where did all these people come from? So we hop in line and wait...and wait... nobody's moving. A manager has been called to the register. Only two cashiers, now one is down. Ugh! Wait, there's a register on the other side of the store. Do we go?? Yea what can we lose, right. So back to the other side of the store,... yes!! No line and cashier is standing around doing nothing. We walk up, ask if he's open. NOPE! Of course not! He redirected us back to the front. I complained the line was long (at least 15 people) and not moving..Could he call a few more cashiers to the back? And he just said, there are registers open. Wow ok. So we walked all the way back to the other side of the store again. The line was even longer! Yup..that was it... we left our basket, asked for a validation (which you don't need if under 90 minutes) and walked out not purchasing anything we shopped for. Never again! The stores on the west side of the Valley are far better selection, quantity and service. We will not be back. read more

First of all, HomeGoods is a great chain of stores. They offer truly unique items that it would be hard to find at one location anywhere else. All this being said, of all of the HomeGoods stores I have gone to in the Los Angeles area, this location has to be absolutely the least maintained and most messy location. Yes, they have all of the great items that the store chain is known for but it is a complete mess within this store. To be fair, most HomeGoods locations offer a wide variety of shopping options. They have various items all over the store. But, at all of the other locations I have gone to, these items are well organized and the shelves and aisles are well-maintained. This is not the case at this location. Also worthy to note, this store has cash register counters, with multiple cash registers, in both the front and the back of the store. The problem is, however, each time I have tried to buy something from this location there has only been one cashier at each of these cash register counters. Meaning, there was a long wait. Last night when I went there, two ladies wanted to take back a number of dishes they had previously purchased, this held up the line for an exceedingly long period of time as there was only one cashier available to help these ladies out. The management of the store should truly hire more staff or schedule their staff more appropriately so there is enough cashiers to take care of the customers at both of their cash register locations or simply close off one of them. All this being said, this store does have all of the great HomeGoods items. If you want them in Glendale, this is the only place to go. read more
