Very frustrating experience with the Goodies store in Atwater Village. Back in November I purchased a "Side Table" and an "A Frame Curved Stool". I was told they were out of stock but would arrive within about a week and that I would receive an email when they were ready for pickup. I never received any email. Over the next four months I had to repeatedly go back to the store to ask about my order. Each time I was given a different explanation: shipment delay, damaged inventory, new pickup date, etc. Every time I was told I would be contacted. I never was. When I finally went in again on today (3/6/25) they told me the store is not responsible for notifying customers and that it is headquarters' responsibility. On top of that, the stool I ordered was not even being held for me. The only ones left were a damaged one and the display model, so I had to take the display. My wife and I were really looking forward to the Side Table, but after months of waiting we were simply tired of going back and forth. The table we paid for was no longer available, so we ended up just taking a different stool that happened to be in the store that day. The whole situation could have been avoided with a simple email or phone call. Waiting four months and making multiple trips to the store for items you already paid for is unacceptable. Great products/price, but the communication and customer service were EXTREMELY disappointing. read more

The good: This place came on my radar because of all of the Tiktok and IG Reels I saw about it. It's a small shop with aesthetically pleasing house items like stools, bowls, and plates. Everything looks super high-end and expensive but is $25 or less. $25 for wooden stools was great. Items here are neutral/natural colors and made of things like wood, stone, and cane/basket-materials. They were beautiful and of great quality. You can buy and order their stuff from online too. The bad: Street parking can be difficult. I parked at a parking lot a block down by the ice cream shop and walked over. I couldn't find the stools from their online store. The interesting: You can buy their gift cards online as well. They have a total of 5 locations (all SoCal). read more

This one is hard because I used to be obsessed with Goodies. But it seems like their customer service leaves little to be desired. Everytime I have come in recently the staff has changed, it's someone new who can't answer questions and has a standard response of "we sell out of stuff daily so we're not sure when things will be back in stock" just a whole spiel about keeping an eye on their socials to know when things are stocking and arrive asap. This store unfortunately has an issue keeping inventory in stock or intentionally ordering less to keep demand high. Overall it's a frustrating experience and it's pretty much a luck of the draw situation if they'll have what you want and if the associate is new or knowledgeable and able to assist you. I recently heard about this place and had to check it out asap. I love how minimalistic and clean everything is. The best part is everything is under $25. I picked up some wonderful items that are all unique because of the raw materials used "marble, wood, or ceramic". You get incredible value and it just feels extra special because everything is unique. Staff seemed knowledgeable and provided a pleasant shopping experience. She shared that their biggest locations are Santa Monica and Long Beach so I will definitely be checking those out too. I left with many items that I am excited to arrange in my kitchen. (The only reason why I didn't buy the wooden ladder was because I parked 2 blocks away, but hopefully next time I can carry it to my car lol) I already told 3 friends they have to check them out. Located right on Glendale Blvd. in Atwater where all of the restaurants and bars are at. Not sure when this place opened, but walking in, you can tell that most or all of their products are hand made and reasonably priced. They had a lot of nice stuff for the home, especially kitchen stuff. I ended up purchasing 2 wooden stools for $25 each. They are made of teak, so it should shed water pretty well. I didn't know everything they sold was under $25 until I checked their IG. I originally visited the store to see wooden ladders, but they were so popular and out of stock. On that day, I ended up buying a cute stool and table decoration in hopes that they would restock the ladders soon. The clerk told me that they should restock the ladder soon and to check their IG post and stories for the stock alert, and sure enough, they restocked the ladder the next day. I ran to the store as soon as I saw the restock post and got my ladder. lol I'm sure the stock won't last long. I was so excited to visit here from San Diego but didn't have the greatest experience. I chose a marble slab to buy and stood in line behind a girl. The iPad register was down because of the wifi but I didn't mind waiting at all. While the first girl and I are waiting in line, a couple comes up and puts their stuff on the register table waiting to pay too. WiFi finally works and the first girl's transaction is complete. The couple starts to walk behind me to go in line while I'm about to walk up since it was my turn, but the worker turns to the couple and says "You were here first so I'll ring you up." and the worker puts her hand in front of me to stop me from walking forward. The couple apologized to me which was nice but I don't appreciate the worker not being aware of her surroundings and putting her hand up to stop me like that. I've been wanting to come here after seeing their business go viral on social media platforms. I checked out their IG story that they posted on Sat, 8/20, and it was their Atwater location looking pretty stocked up on a variety of things. Their IG stories made me have high expectations about their store. I came on Sunday, 30 min after they opened, and they literally did not have much in their store. The only "bigger" household items that were in stock were the ladders. I asked if they had at least their white marble coasters in-stores, but the worker said it is whatever is out on display is on sale. I did see some items in the drawers underneath the table display, but I obviously wasn't going to go through them. So, I really don't know if they ran out or they just didn't want to grab it from their stock. I didn't want to leave empty handed, so I bought a marble tray. The marble tray is nice, but the inner corners of the tray had a lot of glue adhesive, so it was a bummer having to scrape some of it off to give it a cleaner corner edge. It's not really worth the drive if you don't live nearby. read more

I love this place!!! I make it a point to come to this store if I'm ever in town. I found out about this place during quarantine & they don't disappoint. They have quality home and decor products that are all under $25. They have some amazing wood, ceramic, and marble pieces. I want to say they became very popular due to their stools & ladders. At first they were doing preorders for those items but that became such a hassle so now it's just first come first served whenever they restock. I discovered Goodies on Instagram but first purchased a few of their wooden items at the Rosebowl flea market. I loved them so much that I took a trip over to their storefront. They have a bunch of wooden, granite (?), woven items and more. The woven items are mostly macrame hanging plant holders and baskets. Their store is very clean and organized with vibrant yellow walls - a vibe. Everything in the store is $25 and under, so obviously I went crazy. The only reason for my 4-star review was my experience with the waitlist in ordering the stools and their lack of a phone number to call someone at the store directly. I'd placed an order back in September for 2 stools and they informed me it would be about a month. Once it arrived, they will text me to come to pick up the stool. Two months pass and I still haven't heard a word, so I sent them an Instagram message. They informed me it'll be ready in a couple of weeks so I wait and still no word. A few years ago, I went to Bali and I wanted to buy everything in sight! However, my luggage said no. So I was pretty pleased when Goodies popped up in Atwater Village and I was able to finally take some of those treasures I had found in Bali home with me. I am particularly fond of their bowls-plates which, sadly fly off the shelves all the time. I also love, love, love my huge charcuterie platter...basically, when I am able to buy something I just love it and tell myself to go back to that store soon. I say "when I can buy" because everything is so darned cute that it doesn't stay in the store long. In fact, if you like something pick it up and walk it to the register counter and tell 'em you will buy it cuz honestly, there is someone right after you ready to buy it if you aren't. I just found them during the lockdown and I have to say they have some of the best quality wood products at a very affordable price (nothing over $25 ). All of their teak bowls, mortar and pestle and catchall are amazing and durable (yes, I use the hell out of all of them). I'm still waiting for my teak ladder and side tables that will being coming in soon!! Yay! Went to their sample sale a couple weeks back, making it my first time to shop from Goodies after drooling over their Instagram posts for FOREVER. The line was longer than expected and I spent more time than I expected waiting, but it was so worth it! I understood that they were taking precautions with the pandemic, which I appreciated, AND they ended up staying open later to accommodate everyone and restocked full priced items at a discount which was even better. That truly shows that they care! I ended up leaving the sale with some amazing baskets, teak bowls and plates, and some cute trays and accessories from my room. Waited around 7 hours during the sample sale and it was 10000% worth it! During that time every 30 minutes or so a staff member would come out and walk allllll the way to the back of the line (a few blocks long) to make sure everyone was doing good and ensured us that even if we didn't get in before closing, they would STAY OPEN, work late, AND bring out NEW items so everyone got a fair chance to shop I mainly went to get a few items for the house, but they just kept putting more and more goodies out (if that's why it's called goodies lol). My gf and I ended up with 2 baskets, some teak plates, bowls, utensils and a bunch of stuff we didn't need but really wanted. I don't get how they are able to provide such great quality items for under $25 but I'm not complaining TLDR: Amazing, caring, fun, and knowledgeable staff.
