I also spent quiet a bit of time looking at their interesting jewelry collection, including a parure of silver/brass and garnet jewelry. They cary quite a bit of jewelry featuring silver and semi-precious gems. There were also a number of geodes that were set and ready to use as objet d'art in your home, including citrine and amethyst. There was also a variety of paintings for sale: this place has a lot of things for home decor, especially for such a small shop. Definitely worth a stop in Silverlake.

On June 12, Goodies texted me: "We got your pre order for END OF AUGUST pick up" and "We will send you a text when it's ready for pick up." August came and went with no update. I followed up myself in mid-September and was told, "our factory messed up this particular style and the corrected shipment will arrive second week of oct." Four months after ordering, I still don't have the stools. I understand production problems happen. My issue is the lack of communication or accountability. When I expressed frustration about the delay, the response was simply, "we can issue you a refund if you'd like." I've also seen other customers describe similar experiences with delays and poor communication, so mine does not seem unique. I still really liked the stools, but the way this order has been handled has been very frustrating.

Some things of particular note: many books about interesting and obscure topics. This included a book about some of the esoteric societies involved in building the Los Angeles we know today. There is an excellent selection of really beautiful Japanese pottery, including some delightfully adorable tiny vases. Along with this there were an assortment of Japanese dolls, dainty jewelry and a lovely selection of cards. Pauline who was working behind the counter was very helpful and friendly as we chatted about the books on display. Prices might be a bit high, but I didn't feel like they were exorbitantly expensive.
