We love this place!! I'm shocked I have not reviewed them beforehand. We just purchased our 4th or 5th piece from them. Each one is more unique than the next! We even had them do a custom shelving unit for us. The brothers are so accommodating and lovely to work with! This is a perfect little shop in this neighborhood! I looked for an LP cabinet for over a year and finally found one on Chairish which was designed and built by Sunset Bazaar. While the one that they had was 4 feet wide with 4 legs, I ask them to make one that was 5 feet wide with 2 extra legs for my 700 LP collection. I then ordered it directly from him. The one that they made was stunning and fit perfectly in my listening room together with my modern and mid-century furniture and stereo system. Jonathan and Cesar were also great to work with and while the delivery was delayed because a truck broke down, in the end it was worth the wait! Highly recommended!! read more

Just a dream come true! I had saved up some money for some upgrades to furniture we had had since before college, and was really excited to come across the folks here at Sunder Bazaar. We came by the shop on a Monday and asked about a custom record credenza that was a combination of two existing designs they create - Jonathan, one of the owners, was super open minded and so relaxed to work with. He showed us examples of each component we wanted and we sketched out the idea together. By Saturday the piece was finished, beautiful, and delivered to our new place! So found this place by accident and wow how lucky I got. FANTASTIC SERVICE and HOSPITALITY by Jonathan and Cesar. It's a family business two brothers and their sister. They all work very nicely as a team. They also have FANTASTIC mid century modern furnishings. If you want something more unique they have a team of carpenters/wood workers that will build something custom for you. EXCELLENT craftsmanship. I had them build me a mid century modern bathroom vanity and matching mirror. Both pieces came out BEAUTIFUL and both quality pieces at a fair price. Communication with Cesar and Jonathan is seamless. You can email them anytime about inquiries or status on any work they are doing and they respond quickly. Both great guys!! Please give this place your business!!! All the furniture here is amazingly high-quality and so reasonable for the price. They've nailed the modern mid-century style that normally costs a fortune. I already bought 2 things, and plan to buy more. I even brought a friend here and he was so impressed he ended up buying a small dresser. I'm in the transition phase of moving away from IKEA and was looking online at CB2 for a new dresser and was about to bite the bullet on a $799 one. Luckily I came to Sunset Bazaar instead and found an even better vintage dresser for $530 that was more unique and refurbished beautifully. I came back the next day and ended up buying a gorgeous desk. They gave me $100 off for being a repeat customer. I've been using both for 2 months now and still LOVE them!! Jonathan and his brother are the sweetest people ever too. They let you take your time, don't pressure you to buy anything and are super communicative and helpful. I rarely feel the need to write reviews, but I want to shout about Sunset Bazaar from the rooftops! I found it when I was looking for a record credenza for my new place, and decided that a custom piece was likely what would work best for the space. I kept putting off the drive to Silverlake, but then once the lockdown hit, I resigned myself to the fact that we likely wouldn't be going anywhere for a long time. Eventually, I decided to hit them up on Instagram, and they responded immediately! I gave them the measurements on Saturday and the piece was ready for delivery on Tuesday; the guys came wearing masks and gloves and dropped it off right outside, and I sent them the money via Venmo. Completely contactless, so easy, and SO reasonably priced! That brings us to today; they posted a cabinet on Instagram that was exactly what I'd been looking for for our entryway. I DM'd them and the cabinet was delivered to us within the hour!!! This is definitely not the last time we will be buying from Sunset Bazaar; you better believe I'm keeping my eyes glued to that Instagram feed for the next perfect piece! read more

I recently purchased a gorgeous bookshelf from Sunset Bazaar and have absolutely nothing but positive things to say. Their store is currently open, and they intend to visit, but I was able to do everything 100% online or via text. Jonathan reached out to me quickly following an online inquiry and arranged for a prompt delivery for a small fee. The craftsmanship is really impressive considering the price. You could purchase similar products from online retailers that would have to be self assembled and would be far inferior in quality though more expensive - instead, you should work with a local business for gorgeous custom made furniture at a reasonable price and excellent service! read more

This company has great customer service in addition to nice vintage/ mid century pieces with decent prices. Prices are negotiable and they were very accommodating. We bought a small credenza in great condition and so far we LOVE it in our place. They also offer a 3 day trial and a full refund if you change your mind. Interesting stuff overall, and the staff is really nice, but nothing that really jumped out at us. They say they specialize in mid-century modern stuff and they do have a decent collection, but it's spotty and some of the stuff is more run-of-the-mill antique-type stuff. Prices aren't bad, aren't great, just kinda average. They have some really gorgeous Danish Modern cherry and walnut lamps but no bargains here as they're going for about the same at all the bigger designer mega-marts. Some nice artwork for sale as well, so I'd say if you're in the neighborhood and are looking to browse, definitely stop in. There is another store next door, Pepe's Thrift Shop, that actually has much better deals but is jammed tight and not much of a showroom - more of a pile of interesting stuff. read more

My wife and I were in today to look around, but ended up taking a beautiful cedar chest and walnut shelf. The shop is simple, but really well decorated and nothing but good vibes and cheap prices. You can also walk around which is appreciated and rare if you're into this kind of furniture. Cesar and the other gentleman (name escapes me) were really welcoming and friendly and worked out a great deal for us. Literally nothing bad about this place at all, highly recommended. We love vintage/mid century furniture and have slowly been replacing all our ikea gårbage (pronounced gurbidge) with the real stuff over the last year or so. We also love Sunbeam Vintage, but after checking out a few hilariously overpriced, albiet beautiful, places such as Mid Century LA we found this place on Craigslist. The guys that own the shop are very helpful, friendly and straight-forward. They will accommodate specific requests and custom make a lot of the things you see in the store. And they make them and finish them very well. My wife and I purchased a gorgeous walnut credenza (which they made to our specifications, quickly I might add) and matching bedside tables after searching through dozens of area stores that offered lesser items at far greater cost. I've been here a few times and they've always had something that caught my eye. Most stuff seems fairly priced, and they do bargain. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful. I was trying to choose between two pieces of furniture, and they told me to go with the Century piece as it was way more solid. And it wasn't even an up-sell, as both pieces cost the exact same. Delivery is quick and very affordable, they literally followed me home right after I paid. They occasionally have sidewalk sales where I guess they put more inventory out back so those are fun to browse through. read more

I came to this store the first time a couple of weeks ago. They had a bench in the store which I liked., but wasn't exactly the size I was looking for. Jonathan who works there and I think is also one of the owners, was super nice and helpful, without any buying pressure and told me they could make a custom bench for me to fit my space. I ordered it and it was done a few days later. I felt it was reasonably priced and a great customer experience plus the bench looks awesome. I was looking online and at a bunch of other places and was so happy to find out that there is an amazing store like this right in my neighborhood. Sunset Bazaar is a friendly, slightly higher-end counterpart to Pepe's next door. They'll usually let you talk the price down a bit, and delivery is very affordable and quick. Lot's of mid-century stuff, but they have pieces representing many eras and styles. Beats the hell out of Ikea. read more

Great family owned business here for mid century pieces! There's a mix of authentic mid century pieces as well as a lot of replicas. Prices are not bad at all for the furniture here compared to what you would pay for with real pieces. Really wanted to buy a ton of the furniture they sold here, but already had pieces for my place. Small but nicely curated vintage furniture store in Silverlake, mostly mid-century wood pieces refinished by the owners. I found a great credenza here and the friendly manager was willing to give me a good discount for paying cash. Even better, they were able to arrange delivery the next day (much faster than West Elm with their weeks of shipping!) The delivery fee was very reasonable and the guys even drilled holes in the back of the credenza for media cords. I would definitely go back next time I'm looking for a small piece of furniture. read more
