I was in the market for some dining room chairs and found an I interesting set of four which were vintage IKEA on Craigslist. When I inquired, Saasaan replied quickly. After a week of deliberating, I finally decided to get them. They are amazing! And Saasaan delivers around LA for a small fee. So pleased, I know follow him on Instagram to see when his new shipments come in. He told me he goes to Denmark and Sweden every three months to find new things! What a cool life! I'm a fan and hope to find other danish and Swedish mid century modern treasures in the future. read more

I'm so sad to leave this review, but I had a terrible experience with Saasaan last week. I found a couch I loved on Craigslist, came in to check it out and told his assistant I wanted to buy it in that day. He told me that we needed to put a deposit to hold the couch, which we did via Venmo on the spot. The whole process took less than 30 minutes, we were very clear and decisive about how much we loved and wanted to buy the couch, never said "we need time to think about it" or anything like that, and we even told him we would be back to potentially add on a few more items. (We honestly would have paid for the whole thing in full that day, we just did the deposit because his assistant told us that's how their process works). We left feeling like we had 100% purchased this couch and it was ours. We even went to get a glass of wine to celebrate, because we just bought a new house and were so excited to design our whole living room around this silly couch! I got an email the following week saying the couch had been repaired and was ready to pick up -- no additional details. I had a busy day on a shoot at work (and was under the impression that I had already purchased the couch!), so I replied within a day or two, only to hear back saying that he *sold the couch to someone else*??? Saasaan had never once sent us an email saying he needed the rest of the money, no warning that if we didn't reply he would take the couch off hold, NOTHING. He then said that he messaged my boyfriend on Venmo (which would be a strange and ineffective way to communicate), and we searched and searched but never found that message, just an alert saying that he had hastily sent back our deposit that afternoon. I sent follow-up emails, tried to call him, pleading with him to understand our (extremely confused) point of view and still sell us the couch, only to hear nothing back except one short reply saying we could buy a different couch from him instead. TL;DR This is a very long-winded, frustrated way to say that I believe if someone else makes a better offer, Saasaan won't honor your deposit or even let you know what's going on. Putting down a deposit essentially means nothing here, and I suspect may even be a way for him to accept better offers. I get that the vintage furniture buying/selling game is flaky, but we were NOT flaky -- I've bought furniture from him in the past, recommended him to designer friends, and was genuinely so excited to support him again with this purchase. Sadly, after this experience, I think his business practices are dishonest and I think it's a little ridiculous to act like decisive, genuine customers are flaking without even sending a quick email to give them the chance to complete their purchase. I'm not typically the type to leave a review, but this was one of the most frustrating and confusing buying experiences I've ever had and I'd hate to see the same thing happen to someone else. read more

After driving to several LA vintage shops and finding a lot of particle wood w/ walnut veneer :/ I was holding a lot of hope for Saasaan's shop. FYI he is in the process of moving his shop closer to RowDTLA. I blindly drove to his old location only to realize that yelp said it was closed. ‍ I called on a hunch and he answered and was kind enough to let me come to his new spot. I'd spotted a few items online that he quickly pulled out for me to see. Honestly it was hard to leave his store w/out buying everything and I am so excited for this beautiful rosewood 'armoire' that is perfect for my need. I also bought a gorgeous curved mirror and small drawer set that he is still working on. I will upload those pics once I pick it up and have it set up. LOVE, love his relaxed demeanor, his commitment to you loving the piece, and his approachability. I've been to many places where you're made to feel like you are lucky they are giving you the time of day and many others where they don't even address you. Saasaan doesn't have any pretentiousness and only a commitment to beautiful functional art pieces - Danish mid century furniture. I'm so please to have found my new dealer!
