UNACCEPTABLE PRODUCT QUALITY & COMPLETE CUSTOMER SERVICE FAILURE I purchased a Downy Soft Cool Cotton fabric softener from this Target location just yesterday, and upon opening it today, the container released nothing but watered-down liquid, indicating the product was either defective, tampered with, or improperly stored on your shelves. This is a serious lapse in quality control. What makes this even worse is that I attempted to contact the store multiple times and not a single call was answered. The complete lack of responsiveness is absolutely unacceptable for a company of Target's scale and reputation. I am requesting an immediate refund or replacement and expect this issue to be escalated to store leadership. For a place that sells food right across the restroom, they should consider being more sanitary. I was a bit disgusted to see used toilet paper outside the restroom, trailing away. One of the better Targets and super convenient being at the mall. We go this mall pretty often nowadays and we always find ourselves gravitating towards Target at some point, even just to check out some new Pokemon figures or something. This one is a 3 story Target and can get fairly busy but for the most part, fairly organized. Never had an issue at this Target and they are typically well stocked of whatever we need to get during our visit. They only have self checkouts on the 2nd floor, unfortunately. Target, you're a little off the mark, and here's why: I recently visited your store with one simple goal: to buy socks. In and out, quick trip. Or so I thought. Finding the socks was easy enough, but thanks to the rise in shoplifting, they were behind locked glass doors. No big deal--I understand why stores need to protect their inventory. So, I hit the service buzzer, assuming someone would come over shortly to unlock the case. But... no one did. So, do I wait, or do I go search for someone? Not wanting to miss the elusive key master, I waited a bit, then finally ventured off to track down some help. I found two employees in different departments, both friendly but keyless. Each promised to locate the person with the key and come assist. Eventually, someone did arrive, and the socks were freed! Success, right? Well, yes, but it took nearly ten minutes--enough time to make me think twice about repeating the experience. Is this glass case lock-and-key routine the new norm for everyday items like socks, toothbrushes, and hair gel? I understand the need to protect products, but at what cost to the customer experience? It's funny how two different Targets with two different employees can give you completely two different experiences. I went to Target Glendale Galleria first on Thursday last week looking for a 50 inch tv. I wanted the Samsung Crystal UHD and there were no boxes available for taking at the display. Two Target employees at the electronics customer service area were chatty and I asked them if they could find out whether the tv was available somewhere or in the back. And an immediate response from the male "oh, I don't know, I don't have my thing to look it up." I'm like, ok. Is it in the back? And he says, oh, I don't know. And that's it. No further service no help no, hey, I'll go back there and see what we have. Nothing. I didn't even want to waste my time there with the manager so I just went to the Target in Eagle Rock. The guy there, complete 180! Completely helpful. Goes to the back himself to find the box and tells the crew to bring it to the front. Provides a delivery to my car with a designated Target employee. Answers all my questions promptly. I've had some of the best and worst experiences with customer service at Target. I would avoid the Glendale Galleria one. HEY, Target. If you need to train your employees with customer service. I've got over 20 years of experience and have trained corporate and service employees for over 10 years as a designated Corporate trainer. Regardless of the dark days we are currently facing it's nice to see others with carts full of essentials for others. I stopped in here to shop for Men's apparel despite donating 4 massive 80lb bags of items yesterday (everything I have at home is Women's XS) and I needed men's items. One of my favorite affordable, stylish and great quality Men's lines is Goodfellow & Co. I found some nice pieces and as per the usual Target often has a decent selection of sale items. This is not my home store but in the direction I was headed to deliver. They are a well stocked store and I know I've dipped in here on occasion while shopping at the Galleria and Americana as they are attached to the Galleria (parking in the structure out front). Poor customer service. There was an item I needed that could only be found here. So I checked the website, see that it's in stock and drive all the way down (only option available). I get there only to see the item is nowhere to be found. I check with the first store associate (an ordeal in and of itself) who simply walks by and acts like he doesn't hear me, despite the fact that we made eye contact and he could see my mouth moving (great customer service). I then check with the second associate who confirms that the item is out of stock, despite the fact that the website says otherwise. Total waste of time. I stopped by this Target today after finishing eating at a restaurant inside Glendale mall and shopping at the Americana. I never been to this Target so it was a new experience for me. Be aware that the mall entrance to this Target is closed until all the mall shops are open as well. This Target is 3 floors so most stuff are not on the first floor. I looked at their directory and the items I needed was on the second floor. Alot of the locked glass container was left open so I think the workers just didn't lock them to help speed up the process. I was just looking to get chapstick and used the Target apps to know where it was. There also a self checkout on the first and second floor, I'm not sure if there one on the 3rs floor. read more

I literally just purchased $200 worth of product and on the way out I needed to make a quick stop to the restroom to wash my hands, and wouldn't you know that NONE of the restrooms were working. Completely unacceptable. I will be returning all of my purchases and shopping elsewhere with working toilets. They did not even offer me an alternative such as a water fountain. Very disgraceful. I don't understand why this target is so massive two stories and the men's restroom is smaller than a walk-in closet. Makes zero sense why there is only one toilet and two urinal stalls in the men's restroom.. My guts are blowing up and I have to use the toilet. There is zero toilet paper and cover seats in the bathroom for the men's. I walk to customer service and ask them politely to send someone over to refill it ASAP. I waited for over 10 minutes and no one had showed up. What the fuck is that kind of customer service!! I kindly ask women going in and out of the women's restroom for seat covers and toilet paper, which one of them helped and gave it to me. This is a good Target, free parking, multiple levels, great service and plenty of all the essentials. The slogan should really be "Expect... Pay More." Only do the fact that its hard to leave a Targ without spending much more than you would at some place like Walmart, Kohl's Marshalls, and so on. Being the Tarjay of the Glendale Galleria, city of Glendale and just a beat up the street from the Americana at Brand you can imagine they get a lot of foot traffic from super locals, neighboring locals, visitors and even tourist exploring the area. I've had success stocking up on essentials on my way home (SFV), gifts, seasonal items (which go fast here) and beyond. "Targ-dale" does tend to have a few gaps in some areas, but not too many. They do their best to make this store functional and available to shop from open to close daily. Being a former retail worker, manager and even Target Employee for 4 years (2008 to 2011) I know it takes a lot to keep things up and appreciate this store a lot. Locked cases and security are essential, especially in a mall so waiting for something behind glass isn't something I mind as many locations, including my neighborhood location in Van Nuys have to do this to keep up with their inventory. Self checkout is the best, especially if you stopping in for a snack with a beverage. Never a line! For bigger purchases team cashier all the way, plus having a in-person face to face experience can make someone's day. No issues here, ever! But I respect the true honest reviews for this Target and am sorry for all those lackluster, inconvenient and truly rubbed the wrong way interactions. This is undoubtedly the worst target i have ever been to. There is an abismal selection compared to every other target. But what's worse? Is the customer service. Never in my life have I seen target employees be so terrible to customers. The woman in front of me was unable to pay and instead of doing anything to help the cashier or the woman they just let the line back up and back up and back up while she struggled to find something to cover it. Nobody went to help her. Nobody went to help him, there were tons of employees sitting around doing nothing but they just let the line back up. If you see what you want behind a locked door forget about getting it. Like literally drive to Eagle rock target instead. The staff wont ever come, I waited 3 different times over 20 minutes and gave up and left. Even when you go up to staff and ask if someone can unlock the door they will just tell you that someone will be there shortly but it's a lie. I think the management tells them to stay to their area or something because they won't help you or call someone who will. They all seem like they just want you to leave them alone. Yeah my sister and I were at the men's apparel today. A coworker assigned to softlines was at the department. There's no full photo images on the wall to show people how it looks. So we have to open the shirts. We tried our best to fold them back. I've worked for Target for 3 years and sometimes we just have to accept folding over and over again. Anyways the employee walked behind us to get the shirts to refold them. There was no one else there and the section is big enough to just go around but no he HADDDDD to bump into my sister's shoulder really hard and not say anything. As if he didn't just bump into my little sister. That's so disrespectful. He needs to be moved to cashier to be supervised. That was totally not okay. EXCEPTIONAL customer service! I had to go do an order pickup and the lines were so busy that they had to open up the pickup order line. I literally watched how Paola in customer service got everyone in and out in less than and I quote 2 to 5 minutes. I have never seen someone work so quickly make sure everyone was taken care of and did it all with a smile. GIVE THIS WOMAN A RAISE! you could tell she knew what she was doing and when I got to the front after handling everyone with grade a perfection, she still greeted me with a smile and got me out the door in less than a minute. I'm an elderly black woman who uses a cane. I was at Target yesterday, December 13th shopping and was followed by a few asset protection shoppers who were not very inconspicuous (if you can afford AP you can affod more employees). The man, for instance, who had a cart full of items but was looking at nothing IN THE WOMEN'S DEPARTMENT was not only upsetting but creepy. I wasn't sure if he was going to try to grab my bag he was so close, pretending to shop but not shopping. My daughter warned me how racist this Target was while shopping while black but I didn't realize how right she was and how extremely unnerving it is to be followed by multiple people, especially at 80 years of age. The funny thing is.... while security is following people of color, other people have the freedom to steal and quite honestly I hope they all take the chance ie bring a black friend and have a go while their attention is on them. Shame on you. ALSO, if you buy something, crumble your receipt up into a small ball and if they ask for it at the door, hand it to them in that way. I usually go to this target and love it all the time since this is close to my favorite mall, but this morning I went to buy some stuff for my cat and some skin care items. I asked one of the workers to check if there was a pair of cat nail clippers and she rudely told me that if it's not there on the wall then it's not gonna be in the back And I was like ok yknow whatever. But we had been waiting for 5 mins to ask her that since nobody seemed to be on floor. Then when I went to go get my skincare items, various people were looking for somebody to help them (about six or seven people).
