Sofa Interiors did a great job with restuffing our existing living room sofa and replacing the creaky pullout bed with springs! Would recommend them for any upholstering and sofa services. I used the Yelp projects function to send out our ask, which was to restuff our two-seater sofa cushions, and also remove the interior pull out bed, which we hadn't used in years. Scott from Sofa interiors had a fast and thorough response, with a competitive price quote depending on our choice of foam quality and also including the price of springs. They were easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions promptly and thoroughly. They offered pick up and delivery too. Pick up with smooth, with the additional note that there was some tufting that had to be done and also upgrading the front piece which we understood and also signed off on. After giving our deposit, the sofa was off for repair. It took less than a week to finish everything! Back home, it was good as new- the cushions no longer sagged in the middle, and the bed was replaced with springs underneath for good support. We can now use our sofa for many more years to come. I cannot express how happy I am with my newly reupholstered couch! It came out better than expected! The process was smooth and professional, and I was shocked by how quickly they did the job. SOFA INTERIORS: I cannot recommend Scott and Sofa Interiors enough! I researched reviews when I had a project to recover two existing sofas. One (pictured) was a Crate & Barrel slouch couch in my TV room -- with down pillows and no shape -- that had become a sloppy-looking sitting area, even when attempts were made to fluff it up and make it presentable for guests. I have two dogs (black and white retrievers) who love to jump in the swimming pool and are often wet when jumping on the sofa. I have friends with little kids who get dropped buttered popcorn everywhere while watching movies. Friends spill glasses of wine. In short, this sofa gets hard use! I went in person to speak with Scott and told him I'd like to rebuild the sofa, but change the style to make it as durable as "an upholstered seat on a European train, where 100 different people sit on it in one day." I had purchased some cheap velvet and Scott introduced me to the concept of "performance fabrics," and the rub factor that quantifies how many times a piece of fabric can be rubbed and still look good. His shop is filled with stacks of fabric books -- which on outward appearance may look disorganized -- but Scott immediately pulled out some performance fabric books and helped me find exactly the texture and color I wanted. They rebuilt my slouch couch into an L-shaped unit that's part train seat, part 1920s club chair -- beautiful for what I envisioned. Scott's eye for color and shape, and his generosity with his design knowledge and opinion, make him the perfect person to consult when you're looking for a bit of advice. The hard part will be getting on his schedule -- he's good at what he does and only hires folks who can sew and build furniture to his demanding quality expectations. That means it may be a while before your project can be squeezed into their shop's busy timeline. But worth the wait. His prices are reasonable, certainly fair for the careful quality they deliver. Not more because they misled us about the price and how to get quotes I called in advance for a quote on refurbishing bar chairs He said to come into the office with a chair so he could see I did this, but the person who does quotes wasn't there despite telling me to come in anytime during working hours I left my chairs and chose a fabric for him to price and he gave me a quote over the phone When we went back to give a deposit, suddenly the price increased by $30/chair. This was unexpected and quite a lot. It meets the tipping point of making it cheaper to buy new chairs . at that point we moved forward with the having the chairs refurbished because we were already there with the chairs. The chairs look much better. There are still chips on the legs but they did get painted and recushioned It's hard to find furniture repair people nowadays and also what he did was not very cool.
