I recently purchased a custom sectional sofa to replace the sectional sofa I had bought from them 18 years ago. They were so helpful and patient with me as I tried to recreate the sectional from 2008 and then delivered my new custom sofa just over a week after ordering it. Mike and his team were amazing. They have such unique and quality pieces. I highly recommended shopping here! read more

My partner and I have been searching for staple pieces to help bring our new home to life. We've definitely been taking our time with the process because we want to be intentional about the investment. Once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of both indoor and outdoor furniture available, along with the great deals they have going on!! The owner and associates went above and beyond--moving furniture around the store so we could visualize different color combinations, walking us through which pieces were customizable, and providing clear timelines for items that weren't in stock. That level of care made the whole experience feel personalized and stress-free. The highlight of it all was their team delivering our couch and accent chairs the very same day! I can't thank Mike and Meghan enough--they were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely focused on helping us find what we needed :) read more

I've been looking for a couch for a few weeks. And so many places you can only look online. You can't actually try it. I live in Los Angeles. Some things are far away. Like most people, I wanted quality but really can't afford something quite expensive..... but I'm happy to pay for quality. I found Urban Habitat in Burbank as a recommendation from Google for quality, but not at inflated prices. The store has some beautiful pieces. Lots of different styles. The owner was extremely helpful and informative. I got it delivered within two days and then they came and set the whole thing up for me!!! It was incredible. I will be buying all my future pieces of furniture from here. read more

After searching for a very specific piece for quite some time, my wife and I finally visited Urban Habitat -- and we were genuinely impressed. The store is beautifully curated, with distinctive, high-quality furnishings that easily rival the custom pieces and elevated design you find in some of the finest West Side showrooms. We were thrilled to find exactly what we had been looking for, and at a price that felt exceptionally fair. Quite honestly, the piece could easily have commanded a high four- or even low five-figure price point elsewhere, so the value was remarkable. Mike made the experience all the more memorable. He was gracious, professional, and even personally delivered the piece himself -- a level of service that is increasingly rare and deeply appreciated. Urban Habitat has absolutely earned a place as our new favorite furnishings store, and we look forward to returning. read more

I updated my room a couple of years ago and bought all my furniture from this wonderful family owned store. They have a great selection with reasonable prices and amazing staff. I came back to them recently and purchased a new bed frame and dresser for another bedroom in the house. They were very helpful. They delivered and set up our order within a week. read more

loved the dresser we bought but when it came to the smaller 2 drawer chest that matched it.... well to date they have not gotten it right yet. I paid for it but they keep getting the wrong thing and I'm tired of the constant mistake and lack of consistent communication. at this point I'd like my money back but I also can't find the same chest any place else. I really wish I had more confidence in them. While I wasn't able to get the piece I wanted they did do everything to try and ultimately refunded my money. They were very helpful and courteous. I will return jn the future, I love the unique things they have. read more

Mike is the owner of this place and although it was a process to get my fountain installed correctly, he gave 200% and so did his conscientious workers; they did an exceptional job installing my fountain!! I've driven by this place for years just wondering what it was like on the inside, since the outside looked like an oasis. Do yourself a favor and stop! It's worth it. There are so many unique pieces at excellent prices and the greeting you get from everyone inside adds to the wonderful experience. We bought a wonderful table for behind our couch a few years back and recently the most luxurious, cozy velvet swivel chair that you can read a book in for hours. I highly recommend this family owned small business! They will take extra good care of you. I even brought my folks when we picked up our chair. My mom was giddy as she sat in all the couches imagining how she could transform her house. High value! High quality! read more

I very very rarely ever write a 5 star review. Like, hardly ever. But there's a little history with me and UH. I remember when I was in my late 20's early 30's (if I remember correctly) driving by this place on my way to Costco. Back then, I remember walking in there and thinking to myself, "Dang... all this stuff is cool.". But being young and broke (let's be honest, we've all been there...) I knew that I couldn't afford things that were *that* beautiful and unique given where I was professionally and financially at the time. Fast forward until not too recently, things have changed for me. I went back to University, graduated with a degree that contributes more to society, and now I'm exactly where I need to be. Words can't explain how good it felt to come back to this place and buy ALL the cool things I want for my home - wife permitting. About the store - Trying to describe the collections of furniture in this place is like asking someone to explain what a color looks like. It's impossible and can only be seen. One word that I can think of that's fitting is 'eclectic'. There's absolutely something for everyone in here. There are some legitimate art pieces in here. Some are awesome, and some weren't for me. Again... think eclectic. There was art and furniture from India, Vietnam, Malaysia (I think? Could be wrong on Malaysia), and a few other countries that I can't recall at the moment. On a totally separate note, Mike's Spotify playlist is pretty awesome. It's oddly fitting given the vibe of the store. About the people - Mike and his family are super easy to talk to. They'll take the time to discuss the look, or better yet vibe, that you're after and bounce some ideas around. The prices - Lets again be honest here. This is far from Ikea. There's nothing here, to my knowledge anyway, that will require you to assemble anything. That being said, this place is also very far from West Elm, Crate and Barrel, or Potter Barn. It's absolutely reasonable and logical. A vast majority of the time, you get EXACTLY what you pay for. The delivery experience - Tio and tall guy (I'm terrible with names - could be wrong on both counts) were on time, professional, courteous, and careful especially with my new wood floors. 10/10. TLDR: Just stop by. Talk to Mike. If you buy know the delivery process is great. Support small businesses. You'll be happy that you did if not just to go and appreciate the wall art on display. read more

Well, went back and actually purchased a piece from here. I'll stay consistent in saying they have some great pieces. But the customer services aspect ... should've be prepared with the red flags I saw. Horrible communication, over promising under delivering (and dishonesty about the communication). This was with the woman who works there. Was very frustrating. The worker who unloads and delivers furniture thankfully came through both in the store (when the woman wasn't there even though they had been open an hour already) as well as with the actual delivery. In the end I accepted delivery of the piece after speaking with the owner. I can tell he wants to be a good business. read more

I love this store. I love "window shopping" there and I never get out of there without adding a half dozen things to my wishlist. And the prices are so reasonable. I finally got one of the pieces I wanted. It's perfect in my home, and the customer service over there could not be better. Mike is terrific -- he was accommodating, flexible and quick to have my piece delivered to me. It's also great to support a family-owned business as well. Needless to say, Urban Habitat will always be my first stop when I'm furniture shopping. read more

This is my very first review ever. And I am sorry that I have to share my dissatisfaction from my merchandise and the customer service with Urban Habitat. We have been trying for someone to come and see our coffee table and our sofas for months now. We spent a lot on the couches and the coffee table. The coffee table came with a stain on the wood and the couches looks like 15 years old sofas, just after 6 months. I do not recommend this store to anyone. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Mike, his daughter Meaghan. We walked in looking for a chair and we're so happy with the selection and experience that we ended up buying our living room, dinning room and bedroom furniture with them. Mike and his team at Urban Habitat are FANTASTIC. They have the most amazing and unique quality one-of-a-kind items from India, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc... and the you'll be shocked how great the prices are. I just purchased an amazing table from India (solid Acacia with carbonized/burnt wood). This is my fourth purchase in 20 years with them, I wish I had more space. read more

They have nice furniture but waiting for an item can be stressful because Mike kept changing the pick up date. Always giving excuses. We had to leave work early thinking we were finally going to get our table and when we got to the store or texted him if the table was ready, Mike would give us another excuse. Then we finally got the table, it was nice but they gave me the wrong table. They had two tables that were the same length but different width and we even measured the width to make sure our chairs would fit. I called Mike and he promised me he would exchange it for me and i just needed to pay an extra $100 which i didnt mind since we really wanted the table. It has been a month now and i am still waiting. i have tried to contact him but he keeps ignoring me. Very disappointed. On top of that our table had a little scratch which we didnt notice until we were cleaning the table read more

Walking into Urban Habitat feels like stepping into a hidden treasure chest of design. Every piece is one of a kind--crafted with such creativity and quality that you can feel the passion behind it. The owners, a warm and welcoming family, treated us more like a guest than a customer. They took the time to share the story behind each item and helped us find something that felt perfectly "us". I've been a loyal customer of Urban Habitat for MANY years, and every visit feels like a little treasure hunt. This local business stands out. Their collection is truly unique - not the cookie-cutter furniture you see everywhere else, but pieces with character and style. I've purchased everything from a framed painting the size of my wall, a 3-piece bookshelf they customized to fit the space in my home, to a gorgeous 7 foot armoire cabinet. I unexpectantly spotted my most recent purchase (an Italian curved sofa ON SALE for an amazing price) while looking for an outdoor furniture piece. With their competitive prices I ended up with both! The owner, Mike, is personable and friendly, and genuinely helpful. Delivery has always been seamless. Whether I'm just browsing or making a purchase, I've always felt welcomed and well taken care of. read more

Beautiful furniture for a reasonable price! I would always see this store when doing my Costco run and I'm so glad I finally decided to check it out. I found some of my favorite pieces here! A very unique teak waterfall style table from Bali and beautiful sideboard that is such good quality I was shocked at how great the price was. I typically don't like to order furniture unless I see it in person but based on how high quality the hundreds of pieces they had in the store were, I took a leap of faith and I'm glad I did because I'm loving it! I wish my house was bigger so I could get more pieces here! Haha they have such an awesome inventory! What a massive headache this was...this place will simply make your home buying experience more stress than it's worth. Absolutely avoid...if I could I'd give UH 0 stars. We tried to buy a dining room table from Mike the owner, at first he was nice and accommodating. He seemed of very good character. Unfortunately, we found out what type of salesman he was. As we waited for the table to arrive, the day of its arrival kept on getting pushed. There was little to no - to bad slow and awful communication through out the whole time waiting for the table, a bench, and 2 chairs. He promised pictures of the table that never were sent. Mike didn't make calls to follow up. We had to pursue to find what was happening. He didn't use email, and constantly made multiple promises that he never held up or kept. All we wanted was a dining room table - live edge and of natural wood that would finish our hunt for new furniture in a new home. The one thing that would help us to not keep eating on the floor or on the couch. :( It was pretty infuriating to say the least. Mike honestly could not be trusted. Ultimately the table he promised had a scratch on it and he didn't lower the price or get it fixed but still wanted to keep the money we had already paid with the AMEX. It was intolerable and we wanted a full refund - end of sale. Then he made it known that there was a 20% restocking fee for an item we never really ever received. Mike rudely argued because he was irritated that we didn't want it; he didn't want to give back a full refund. I'm sorry, but we didn't want a damaged product - simple as that. Wow! An experience that no one who is paying good money for a good product should ever receive. Even though he may have nice pieces, as a salesman, he cannot be trusted which is really a shame. Once someone promises you something and they can't deliver, its time to move on and not do business with that person ever again. It's all about Trust. Buyer beware... read more
