The last mattress I bought was at Sit N Sleep in Glendale, California in 2012. The mattress I bought was the Serta icomfort memory foam mattress. It lasted me until this year, which is almost exactly 14 years. This is the longest I've ever had for a mattress. I stopped by Sit N Sleep in Glendale for the July 4th sale, and they no longer carry the Serta icomfort mattress. I googled online for sales for the Serta icomfort mattress, and Ashley furniture was the cheapest for the 4th of July sale. I ordered the mattress with the white glove delivery and removal of my old mattress. I not only ordered the mattress, but also the base and a new bed frame. What Ashley doesn't tell you, they don't assemble the bed frame for you when they deliver and it is sent before the mattress. Plus, they don't tell you they won't offer to take away the old bed frame when they deliver the new mattress. Depending on where you live, you may have to pay someone to pick up and take away your old bed frame. Some places quoted me $200 for the pick up. Sit N Sleep not only assembles the new bed frame with the mattress delivery, but they take away everything from your old bed, which includes the bed frame. Honestly, I regret making a purchase at Ashley furniture. Looking back, I should've bought a different brand of memory foam mattress at Sit N Sleep. read more

My son and I are in desperate need to purchase a nice, off white love seat and sofa since our furniture is almost taking it's last breath. It's not that bad, but if we don't buy something soon, it will get worse. I have always liked bright color furniture to go with my living room space. I know it get's dirty fast, but it always looks nice, classy & chic. We were there in the evening of the 16th of January and browsing the store trying to see what we could have founded and nothing really caught our eye that was suitable and affordable for my apartment and our budget. Everything was kind of expensive and we didn't even get to the point to discuss financing the furniture. Few employees approached us to see if we needed any help; but, since the decision was still up in the air, we walked out and trying to see what other stores and options we have. I purchased a sofa from Ashley Furniture in March 2025 for over $4,000, expecting basic quality and honesty. Instead, I got a defective product and a company that refuses to stand behind what it sells. In less than a year, with a total usage of maybe 30 hours, the cushions have severely sunk. My wife and I are almost never at home, so this couch has seen virtually no use. There is absolutely no justification for this kind of failure. To make matters worse, I was sold an "extended warranty" with clear assurances that it would cover everything, including cushion issues. That turned out to be completely false. After two so-called "expert" inspections and more than six phone calls totaling hours of my time, they are now denying coverage and backtracking on what was promised. This is not just poor quality, it is blatant misrepresentation. I have two witnesses who were present when I was told the warranty would cover cushion failure, especially this early on. Now they are pretending otherwise. I will be taking this matter to small claims court. Avoid this company at all costs. Updated: There was an issue with the scheduled delivery date, which was initially set for January 7, 2026, and then changed to January 10, 2026. I did not receive any calls, emails, or automated emails from the customer service team to confirm the delivery schedule. I had to contact customer service, where the associate representative repeatedly repeated the cancellation without providing an explanation. I made a second call to the store location to request to speak to a manager. The individual who answered the phone refused to transfer me to a manager. I waited a considerable amount of time until a store manager spoke with me. Mr. Emat explained that Ashley was backordered, which prevented the delivery of the furniture as scheduled on January 7 or January 110. The best available delivery date was January 14. After speaking with Mr. Emat, a chatbot automated email was sent to confirm the delivery on January 14. It was more than inconvenient to have to call to find out when the furniture was scheduled to be delivered. I don't live in Oceanside, plus my property manager was on vacation. A lot of logistics to arrange. Ashley Management: I highly recommend improving communication if the delivery schedule is canceled. Customers should be notified immediately rather than waiting until they are uncertain about the delivery. Proactive communication and better customer service are essential. The delivery driver, Juan Miguel, was punctual and professional. Unfortunately, there is no way to provide a review. They deserved five-star review to third-party contractors. read more

We recently purchased a bed set from the Burbank Ashley Furniture store. The sales representative was wonderful -- very helpful, patient, and made the whole buying process smooth and pleasant. However, the delivery and installation experience was extremely disappointing. It seems like Ashley hires a third-party company that's either overworked or underpaid, because the team that showed up was unprofessional from the start. They entered without even greeting us or confirming the delivery name. When they finished, one of the installers came over, stuck his phone in my face for a signature without asking me to inspect the furniture first. When I checked, I found two damaged drawers and a crack on the side of the bed. It's really upsetting to have such a great sales experience end with such poor service and damaged furniture. We went there for the first time to purchase a couch and a recliner chair. The sales lady was very nice and we did find what we were looking for however, somehow along the way we encountered the Tempur-pedic beds and the sales lady started doing a sales pitch on the cool mattress and the cool pillows that went along with it. I was interested in the cool pillows because I suffer from hot flashes. She told us that the pillows stay cool and I even got to lay down on a bed and try one and it was very cool. The cost for these pillows is $299 which is an excessive amount of money for a pillow however, I thought it would be helpful for my condition so I purchased one a few days later our furniture was delivered the chair arrived damaged when my husband looked at the condition of the chair he noticed the materials were poorly made so we canceled the order of the chair. The pillow also arrived. I opened the pillow, put a clean cotton pillowcase over it and try it out after about 20 or 30 minutes the pillow got warm that's not what we were told. We tried to return the pillow telling the store so-called manager that it didn't stay cool and her response was did you turn it over well for $300 you shouldn't have to turn the pillow over. It should stay cool as we were told by the sales people, and also please note the weight of the pillow is very heavy, which is not conducing to flipping it over in the middle of the night. They refused to take the pillow back so now we're stuck with this pillow that doesn't do what we were told it would do and we're out $300 so please beware if you shop there make sure your items are returnable if you don't like them or they don't work out the way you expect I would recommend shopping elsewhere read more

Damaged wall and gate driver!!!! I am extremely disappointed with Ashley's Store and the complete lack of accountability in handling a serious issue. The third party drivers they hired to deliver our couch set damaged our driveway gate and wall and then fled the scene in a hit and run. Instead of taking responsibility, Ashley's Store pushed the burden onto us, telling us to contact the driver and their insurance something that makes absolutely no sense, considering we did not hire the driver, Ashley's did. A company of this size should stand behind its services, especially when their contracted delivery team causes significant property damage. The lack of support, follow up, and basic professionalism has been shocking. We are left with a damaged property and no accountability from the store that arranged the delivery. I bought two couches from this store after needing new seating for medical reasons after a spine surgery. The store promised me that I would receive my products by a certain date about four weeks later (which was later that I would have liked, but I agreed, provided it would not be further delayed). The day before that date (after I had already discarded my old couches), they called me to reschedule it for four days later. The day before the re-schedule date, they call again to cancel the delivery. Mind you, the sales associate PROMISED me that it wouldn't be delayed, and that delays never happen. I was informed that no compensation could be offered, no responsibility was taken for the repeated issues, and when I mentioned escalating the matter to corporate for further assistance, I was met with dismissiveness and told, "there's nothing we can do." The lack of accountability and professionalism was extremely concerning, particularly from someone in a leadership role. I was told my sofas would be delivered on December 17, and I have now just found out the delivery has been delayed until December 26. Christmas is approaching, and I am expecting my family. Terrible Customer Service & Warranty Runaround I purchased my furniture from Ashley's with the Regard extended warranty, which the sales rep assured me would cover repairs or replacement if the item could not be fixed. Unfortunately, when my furniture developed an issue, the technician himself noted in his report that it could not be repaired or matched. Per the Regard pamphlet and the promise made at purchase, I should have received a replacement. Instead, I've been sent in circles between Ashley's and Regard, with no resolution and no accountability. Even after multiple calls and emails, Ashley's has failed to honor the warranty or provide the replacement/refund I'm entitled to. This is unacceptable. On to the next furniture store in search for my mother's nice accent chair to enjoy while watching tv. I have never stepped into an Ashley HomeStore before and especially for this location, I have never been to this area since it was a Circuit City. (dated myself there) As I entered the building there was a Salesman that greeted me. I asked to look for accent chairs for my elderly mother and gave him specific description that I was looking for. The salesman showed me several designs and some did meet the criteria. I was happy with one model and it was even on sale. Ashley did have a possible purchase. What I didn't like was how the salesman pushed for the sale. After I had asked how long does the sale run for, he didn't know. His response was very iffy as he said "im not sure, maybe tomorrow the price may change". I didn't like that there was no solid answer. I also asked if the model of the chair I liked came in different colors. The salesman couldn't really answer that question as well as he went online to show me the same item, but it was the same color. I was looking for a sectional sofa for our sitting area and came across this sectional at Ashley furniture. The size is good for our space and the price was too until I realized it's actually more than what it says on the sign that was placed by the sofa. So the floor sample is actually bigger than the pictured one which I didn't pay attention to. The salesman told be that the floor sample has one extra chair in it and I can add as many as I want. So I ended up paying over $2000 instead of $1500 with that one extra chair. And they charge $275 or $265 for delivery I don't remember exactly ... that is a high fee for delivery since living spaces charges $99.00 for delivery. The service at the store was good, the sales person was friendly and approachable. He wasn't pushy and gave us a short history of Ashely furniture such as where the products are made at and so on. My family has shopped here multiple times a year, but that ends now. Earlier this month, l purchased a bed in-store and was very clear about what I needed. They delivered and assembled it while I wasn't home, and when I returned, my "brand-new" bed was already damaged--cracks, missing color, and visible defects. On top of that, they damaged my personal belongings during delivery. They also delivered the WRONG item. I have a disc injury and sciatica, yet I was forced to drive to the store twice just to beg for help because their customer service is absolutely nonexistent. No accountability, no urgency, no care. To make matters worse, the salesperson who sold me the bed, Diana Cabrales, saw me walk into the store on both occasions and literally walked to the back to avoid me. I purchased a couch for our condo that turned out to be too large for the space, and I wasn't aware the back pillows were permanent. When I called to ask about an exchange and offered to cover the moving costs or any pick up expense, I was met with a dismissive response and told their policy doesn't allow returns or exchanges. I visited the store and spoke with the manager, who was polite and professional, but ultimately unable to assist. UPDATE 8-28-2024: I also ordered a split-king mattress sheets which took 4 weeks to be delivered and upon delivery noticed it was knitted not woven. I went to the store to exchange the unopened box and was told that they would exchange and all sales are final unless damaged and also because I purchased the item at the store (even though they shipped it to me 4 weeks later) and not online they would not exchange. RUDE! So I then contacted the Tempur-Pedic Flagship store where they did sell me the sheets I wanted and honored a discount. They could not exchange as packaging was different. I asked and I was informed I did not need to buy the added warranty on the base and mattress from Ashley furniture because Tempur-Pedic honors any purchase of their product already! Where do I begin with Ashley Furniture Store and my frustration with them?! I recently ordered a couch and sofa, along with a coffee table set (coffee table and two end tables) so we're talking about a complete living room set package. The couch and sofa were on back order, as they were limited in supply or they didn't have enough inventory for these two items, so I was told it would take a month to arrive. Anyone else think a month is a ridiculous amount of time for something to be delivered? If the back order is that long, why not give a discount or maybe not prominently feature it in the front of the store? Anyway, while this wasn't ideal, I wasn't in a super rush so I thought I could be patient as I liked the design of the furniture and the size was idea. Next, all of the furniture arrived and guess what? The box holding the coffee table & end tables fell as the delivery guys were bringing it. I think what happened is they propped it up and gravity took over. It was an accident but I wish they had been more careful! I'm glad my brother caught this and said "hey, you need to take this back and bring us a new set" before they began installing it. They gave me a $100 discount for the inconvenience. About a week and half later (more time waiting as if the back order wasn't enough!), they bring a new coffee table and end table set after the above incident. After they finish installing, we noticed there's a dent in the coffee table so yeah, now once again, we have to repeat this process!! She was very nice very accommodating, super professional. She helped me to find sofa at the first time we walked towards the set up they had I really liked it. I've literally bought 50k over the past 20 years with Ashley furniture. Always with a good experience, well almost always. A few months back we visited the Burbank store for bedroom furniture. We were mobbed by 5 sales people the moment we walked in. We engaged with one of them and told him what we were looking for. We found him to be very nice and very helpful. Once we decided on the furniture we wanted he brought his store manager in. This is where things went south. We specifically asked her , if we receive delivery and decide we don't like the furniture can we return if for something different. She told us a bold face lie and said that she was the store manager and would happily accommodate us. Well the furniture was delivered on a Thursday and on Saturday I contacted our sales rep and told him we were not happy with the furniture and wanted to replace it with something different. We didn't ask for a refund, simply a credit towards something different. Several days went by and no one contacted us, so I contacted corporate and expressed my concerns. Corporate sent a technician to my home to inspect the furniture for any defects, which I thought was part of the return process. I was notified later that day by corporate that there were no returns on product, I told them that the Manager of the Burbank store told me that we could exchange it and they told me to take it up with her. She would NEVER get on the phone and she would NEVER return calls. So my wife and I went in there to speak with her and she acted like she didn't know who we were. At this time only a couple of weeks had passed. Bad memory for a store Manager. She argued with us in front of her employees and other customers and told us there were no returns allowed it's a corporate policy and she told us that when we were purchasing the furniture. Funny that she now remembers us. She eventually told us to leave the store because we were making a scene. She was the one who raised her voice and spoke very nasty to my wife. The end result was that they would not take the furniture back and they lost a customer for life. Nice Store, great staff. However, I bought a $4,000 mattress and a $300 mattress protection plan. After 22 months, the mattress started sagging. No worries, it comes with a 10 year warranty. However, no one will honor the warranty. I call Ashley customer support and they tell me to call Manufacturer. Manufacturer says I need to file a claim through Ashley Warranty Dept. Ashley Warranty Dept says the protection plan company needs to help me. The protection plan company says the mattress isnt' covered - only the bed frame and $75 mattress protector (WTF?). Call back Ashley warranty dept and they are worse than useless. Never buy an expensive mattress from this place. read more
