My lovely wife wanted to redo our cushions as the down was poking through the material. She called many other places in town and was given a variety of prices. I said "why don't you call foam mart"? "What's a foam mart"? she replied. "They are the best with foam and cushions". My wife called and made arrangements to have our cushions redone. The options are vast as foam densities are very different and the comfort is very personal. We had one cushion stuffed many times to make sure the height and comfort was perfect. I always have this mistake of making assumptions on what products a business offers based only on its name. Let's take this place for example. It's named Foam Mart so I assumed they sell no more than foams. I passed by this place daily but never bothered coming in. Until one day... One day, I decided to come in out of curiosity and voila! Yes, I saw the foams in different sizes, thickness, firmness but....surprise, surprise! They carry a lot more items than foams. So what is in store? For yoga lovers, there's a variety of yoga mats and bolsters. I asked for a yoga block but it's currently out of stock. For $3 a piece, I won't be surprised that it's out of stock. They also sell kids' floor mats, memory pad mattresses and pillows. I also saw bean bags, pet beds, cushions, and throw pillows. Who would ever think they carry textiles, too? Yes, they do in different colors and designs, whether it's for indoors, outdoors, awnings, etc. The textile clearance section is one hell of a deal. Special thanks to Aaron who gave me a tour of the place and detailed info on the products they carry. If the store will put additional banner or signs and make the front of the store more welcoming, I am sure it will attract more customers. Foam here, foam there, foam everywhere! I came to see the foam people at Foam Mart to re-line/re-foam my Pelican 1600 camera case. A very friendly young guy helped me with my little project, He positioned all my photography equipment (camera, lenses, triggers, strobes, flash, cords, chargers) and arrange them in the most efficient space saving way to maximize my case, he then took measurements and gave me a fair estimate as to how much this foam job will cost me. When asked about different foam types and which could last longer than the usual, He gave foam suggestions and showed me different foam types that would best suit my photography needs. We ended up with the foam that is typically used for Pelican cases, if in the future that I need to cut-out more cubby holes for additional equipments, our helpful young guy made provisions for that as well with his measurements. Possibly you're making your own interpretation of the Iron Man costume, or maybe you just wanna fix up some sofa cushions, it doesn't matter for what reason you need the foam, just rest assured that these guys and gals have what you want. One of the nice things about living in a city the size of LA is access to stores like Foam Mart. There are literally (used correctly) thousands of variations on foam inside this mini-warehouse of a store. A small parking lot greets you just off the boulevard with enough spots for most times of the year. It's a warehouse, so don't expect pumping A/C greeting you at the door, but it's worth a walk thru the aisles of foams and furniture fabrics. Everything is out in the open, you can wander the aisles of Foam Mart touching and sitting on everything you see (just about). There's always an employee nearby with an interesting answer. Once you've found the foam you need, they can cut it to size and even cut shapes if need be (heart-shaped stool bottoms anyone?). But a great selection all on hand still wouldn't be worth all the great reviews if Foam Mart had bad employees. Foam Mart has almost as many styles of employee as it does faux leather (read: a lot), and all of them are great. Even Mendy, who continued to belittle his own job as he showed me various foam styles, went above and beyond in the way of service. A sense of humour goes a long way. You can't hate your job that much Mendy, if you do it that well. All of the other employees that I came across were the same, eclecticly good at their jobs. I guess it's a certain type of person that works in a foam shop, they all seemed pretty great to me. I really can't think of a better foam shop in the LA area. If you just need to get that piece of foam, today, then get down to the sweaty end of the Burbank valley and sit on as many samples as they have, Mendy has the time. read more

I purchased a large rectangle of poly foam (48" x 96") for $48 and a few yards of vinyl fabric at $10 a yard to make a crawling track for our 4-month-old. The guys who were working there that day were super personable. Jackson cut the vinyl for me and rang me up. I felt bad that I was the second-to-last customer, checking out twenty minutes past closing on a Friday afternoon, but he and his colleagues were super accommodating. Went here a few weeks back to get my brother's bean bag chair filled and to see what foam sheets I could potential use on my futon softer. The one who was helping us out was very nice and informative as we went through the three types of foam he recommended for me and assisted my brother in filling up his bean bag chair. After feeling the foams and ring given the pricing for each for twin and queen size beds, he noticed our reactions to the prices and he low-key told us other places that sell for a little cheaper with similar foams if we are over budget.
