I really wanted to like this Ross because of the size and amount of items on sale, but some of the aisles are so narrow and items are crunched up close that it was hard to navigate! I was able to find good items on sale for my son as they had double racks of boy clothes. But they were very low on any food items, I usually like how Ross has nice coffee options but when I went, the shelves were almost empty. A few times I got stuck in an aisle because we can only go one way especially if someone had a cart. I had to move furniture around to help others move aside and it got to a point no one cared about pushing. I was able to make it downstairs and purchase the items. I used cash and realized due to penny shortage, don't expect change if it's supposed to be in pennies (which I'm fine with). They actually require you to show your receipt before leaving the store so don't forget it! read more

Ass a Ross costumer, I have a complaint about the service at the Ross in Glendale Ca., My bag ripped, I politely ask the cashier for a replacement, but she told me I had to pay for it, I told her just replace the torn one, but she refused. If this is relevant to mention , it was cashier num. 2 on march 30 between 2;30-3;00 p.m. I actually feel sorry for the cashier, her behavior reveals just how bitter she is in her job- and perhaps in her personal life as well- and demonstrates her complete lack of manners. read more

I had to wait in a long line that took forever just to look at this Movado watch because I guess that's the only way you can get someone to open the case for you. It is also extremely frustrating when the line is long and they decide to close a lane to check out. The worker also said they do not put anything on a hold that's jewelry, allegedly. I ended up buying it, but I can't say it was an exciting purchase due to the customer service or lack of thereof. It really was a great deal, but there wasn't much that was actually good there. Also, the upstairs is super hidden so make sure you look for the escalator towards the wall. read more

Shopping while Black. Ah the joy of wanting to spend money and being followed by staff. This time while looking at men's sweatshirts on the second floor, two men one tall Armenian, one short Hispanic dude decided to come to the same aisle I was in on either side and pretend to "look" at shirts. Now... neither guy were looking at their right size and the way they walked up on me was seriously obvious especially at 11AM ON A WEEKDAY MORNING in a non-busy story. I think folks need to start posting photos of obvious asset protection folks online. If they wanted to watch it'd have been easier to look afar from another aisle but nope, sloppy work. I left, let them have the aisle came back five minutes later and guess what? Empty aisle. Took the tall one another couple of minutes to find his way back into the aisle to pretend shop but I was finished looking by that time anyways. Just an FYI AP, another shop that did this to me ended up being robbed by a white guy while they were following poc so.... Anyways, store is messy, didn't have anything of quality in it. I was looking for Hokas, dog treats, and few sweatshirts. Glad they didn't have them. Went to TJ Maxx instead and got what I needed. This store is so hot its ridiculous and these poor workers are Literally working like its a sweat shop with no air or fans behind the counter. This Ross treats their customers like criminals with security checking receipts and being rude. The line at this ross is the longest I've ever seen, don't bother coming here. I'm local and every time I come here I put things back because the line is an hour wait. This Ross is probably not accessible for wheelchair users and is probably a fire hazard, the isles and so tight and there are always things on the floor. Its filthy. This poor Ross is suffering so badly. I've been coming here for years and everything about this store is suffering. There's clothes literally thrown everywhere, toys laid all over the floor, open packages, food eaten and discarded, you can tell when they get shipment because they don't even try to put things on shelves, they just fill the isles with big items. The one thing I appreciate is that "department sections" don't get changed around, so I know where to go when I'm looking for something. You can tell that a lot of people here are defeated and I get it. I don't think this store can go back to being a clean and organized Ross. I don't know if it's a staffing issue, or a lack of cares issue. Something I'm grateful for is that the cashiers are usually friendly. I usually have a positive experience when shopping here but today I felt marginalized. First, I am a gender nonconforming person that wears both "mens and women's" clothing. Today I was shopping for clothes upstairs and was told I couldn't enter the fitting room and that I needed to try clothes on downstairs. What the heck? There are no signs upstairs except for the word, fitting room. Way to exclude your customers and make them state to employees how they identify. What a horrible system. Yes, agreed, that Ross is usually a hunt for a bargain but the situation at this location is very unacceptable! I came to the store for a simple exchange and cashier from the start was very rude and annoyed like if she hates her job. She did not want to accept the exchange because to her the item looked used. When in fact I had purchased it already the way it came, her customer service was horrible and after we spoke to her manager. Maria the employee ignored us, please management teach Maria some manners. She even told us to go to the Ross we originally bought the luggage. All the luggages at ross are not always at their best quality some have dust or stains or dents, however employees don't notices those things when selling the item. Bought some planters today. The line was long and out of 8 cashiers, only 1 was open for both returns and purchases. After waiting a long time in line, I did not expect the cashier to be that rushed to the point that she was not helping me bag the planters which are breakable. She was just giving me the plastic bags and even without any paper wrapping for the breakable pots?! The bag even ripped at the bottom since the planter's legs were pointed. The lack of concern from the cashier (even if the product I bought would break was appalling). No concern nor empathy for the customer when the money used for purchasing the product is hard-earned. Very dismaying and not acceptable. Was not able to get the name of the cashier, however, in the receipt it says Assoc: 941404, Reg 1. Hoping that there will be some concern shown for the products purchased by the customer. It is important to have some empathy and customer service skills especially if one is a frontliner. read more

This is one of the most disorganized stores I've ever been in. The clothes tops and bottoms are on 2 different sides of the store, like everything else. The check out line was the worst. It's on the far right of the store and it's one narrow lane with signs clearly posted that both of the aisles are for "returns and exchanges". If that wasn't confusing enough, the returns and exchanges register is directly in front of the check out line. The check out line was so crowded and there was so many people that I was overheating in line and about to faint just waiting to check out. I have to boycott this location. There is no excuse for the disorganization. There's Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx in the same shopping center their stores are organized and easy to maneuver through why would anyone waste time shopping in this disorganized unintuitive setup. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, a lot of the items at this particular location is mislabeled. You really do have to inspect everything for size and defects. read more
