This place is super cute. The main room looks like a quiet little tavern, but we were put in the back solarium looking area. It was very nice. It's bigger than it looks. We started with the pretzel and it was fantastic. The beer cheese had great texture and the pretzel was crisp and soft at the same time. One of the best I've had in the city. We shared the NY Strip special which came with a choice of soup or salad. We elected for the Caesar salad and it was beautifully fresh and had excellent dressing coverage. We got the steak cooked medium with the garlic mushrooms. The sear on it was absolutely perfect. It was cooked spot on medium. It was a great deal for the $27.95 asked and plenty of food for the two of us when paired with a side of the excellent Mac and cheese. Service was fantastic. We will definitely be back. I've been here a few times over the years and every time I am just always pleased. It's a really cute place with a couple of different rooms where they can seat you. They all just have that ambience of old Covington with horse racing and the bridge and anything you might think of. The staff is always very friendly and it can be busy on weekend mornings during brunch but usually you'll get a seat eventually. Always great service at the table! The lady that helped us today was just great and unfortunately I did not get her name. Food here is just always awesome. This was the second time that I had to goetta eggs benedict. It's just great with the home fries and the hollandaise and the goetta is just cooked so well. Highly recommend! I've had other things before but this is usually my go-to brunch item. I've been to Blinkers Tavern many times, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, with a nostalgic, throwback vibe that takes you back to a simpler time. Houses in a quaint building, blinkers had a good sized bar when you enter, plenty of seating in the middle section and a back section and outdoor patio perfect for large group. We are outside and walked toed the Reds game. Great service and food. I wasn't crazy about the calamari whose breading slipped off when you grabbed it but the stack Blinkers was terrific. Found ourselves back here for lunch last weekend, and things were much better. There is a handy parking lot in the back for their patrons, useful in a busy area. I had the daily double with half a turkey sandwich and half a salad. Both were really tasty and the ingredients were fresh. We were just doing some sightseeing and taking it easy on our last day in the area. We saw this place on yelp and thought we would drop in for lunch. It was a brunch menu but that was OK because they had enough lunch options to meet our needs. As we were being seated I saw a server with some donut holes. They were topped wwith powdered sugar, drizzled with caramel and garnished with strawberries. This was a must try and I will say they were very good. There were only 2 options for burgers on this brunch menu. I opted for the classic burger with swiss cheese. The server let me know that they did have a mushroom and swiss burger although it was not on the brunch menu. This is a hard yes for me. I love mushroom and swiss. It was cooked medium, a little pink inside but no grease running down your arm when you bite in to it. This is perfect for me. Our server did not linger over our table but seemed to always be right there when we needed something. This is the trademark of a really good server. The only potential problem I saw was that there was only 1 bathroom for each gender and it was single person use. This was not a problem while we were there but I could see a problem if they were busy. The whole experience was really good. read more

She brought our drinks & warm cut French baguette with butter. We had the house salad with the raspberry vinaigrette & the beef vegetable soup. The raspberry vinaigrette was superb & house made. I've lived in Boston & ate at many 5 restaurants & Blinker's has one of the best steaks I've had. There's a crunchy crust with a magnificent flavor & it was cooked perfectly (medium). Discovered this amazing steakhouse Tavern during my visit to Kentucky. We were a party of 11 and the server took great care of us, especially when we were all trying to be out within an hour. She did an amazing job with providing us quick and friendly experience. The rumors are no lie, they deserve to be voted best steak of NKY. I had the Black N Bleu Steak Salad (minus the bleu lol) and it was absolutely mouthwatering goodness. The steak was cooked perfectly, seasoned with just the right amount of seasoning and not taking away the star of the show, the steak. The steak was so juicy and tender. As well as the portion of the steak on this salad is pretty generous. Loved how light and refreshing this salad is! I also got their Bavarian Pretzel and WOW!! The pretzel was such a large portion, soft and fluffy. The homemade cheese sauce was definitely chef kiss! Cheesy goodness and flavorful! So sad that we don't have this in Virginia. On a busy fall Friday night, the place was pretty steady, but that didn't stop the server from being very attentive, the bar to crank out drinks quickly, and the food to come out piping hot. We sat outside, which was definitely a highlight with the awesome weather - if you can swing the outdoor patio during the season, I would highly recommend it. The menu said they were winners of the best steaks but you never know when seeing these type of claims.
