    Poutine

We have been wanting to try Lonely Pine steakhouse for a while since it reopened and maybe they were just having an off night, but I was disappointed. We started with poutine as an appetizer and part of the appetizer was warm and the other part was cold. We ended up eating it anyway. The chef salad was very good and we split that. When our entrées arrived, I got the petite fillet, which was 6 ounces for $42 with no sides included. I ended up getting the tail end of the filet and half of the 6 ounces was literally not edible. The steak lacked flavor and was one of the least tasty steaks I've ever had at a restaurant. My husband ordered the flank steak and he said it was fine, but nothing remarkable. We spent $200 with two alcoholic drinks. When you spend that kind of money, I want to be a little more impressed.

Popped in for a bar seating reservation on a Saturday night and enjoyed the Chef salad, the cowboy bone in ribeye for 2, and some wine. The atmosphere was cozy and the food and service were great!

    Chilaquiles - SALTY and OVERPRICED

As a foodie, I'm usually excited to explore new spots and this dinner had some highs and rock-bottom lows. The Cowboy Ribeye and Tomahawk steak were fantastic. They were perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the broccolini and potatoes were great sides. The Chilaquiles were a complete disaster. The waitress sold them hard, so we decided to give them a try, but they were ridiculously salty. One bite and it was like your taste buds were completely overwhelmed with salt. The chips had a strange, almost Dorito-like flavor, but not as good as Doritos and between the 4 of us we couldn't finish the dish. To top it off, these awful Chilaquiles were priced at $68, which is basically the cost of the Tomahawk steak! It was so frustrating, especially since it was my friend's birthday dinner. It completely killed the vibe and left us all with a bad taste, literally and figuratively. I'll be back for the steaks, but I'll be skipping that overpriced, inedible mess next time.. TL:DR - The Chef Special-- Chilaquiles are terrible and incredibly overpriced. Do not get them!

I give this quaint little place an A plus for effort. I love that they greet you with a glass of champagne. The menu is a little pricey so good for a special night out.

Loved this restaurant! My husband and I had the filet and it was so good! Go for the bigger size! Cocktails were delicious! Can't complain it was all delicous!

We visited Lonely Pine for my birthday dinner and I'm so glad we did! Upon entering, we were offered a small glass of champagne, which really set the mood. The restaurant itself is a little dark and moody, and decorated nicely with mid-century vibes. The old fashioneds were perfect, and the pimento cheese appetizer was delicious. I had the petite waygu 8 oz; it was tender and cooked perfectly. I ended up taking half home though because I was so full from all the sides. I did the asparagus and zucchini veggies sides; the asparagus was amazing but the zucchini was just okay. We also did the crispy potatoes and Gouda Mac and cheese for the table. The potatoes had a great flavor but were maybe just a little overcooked for my taste. The Mac and cheese was excellent.

Ask the Community - The Lonely Pine Steakhouse

    Is there a kids menu?

No, but all menu items are child approved! Mine is a huge fan of the noodles.

    Can you split steaks?

My friend and I split a small steak just to taste as we were there for oysters. The couple next to us got the porterhouse which was huge and they split it.

We were greeted upon entering my the host and manager Seated immediately at a pristine table. Our waitress, Devon explained several items on the menu and made recommendations based on customer likes. We started with the focaccia bread. Lightly toasted. With our choice of herb butter or olive oil. Perfect, we ate every bite. Then we had the beet salad Red & Golden beets thinly sliced with fresh herbs and goat cheese. A lot of thought went into making this dish perfect thank you chef My lady ordered the filet and I had the 14oz Choice Strip Steak. Both incredibly tender and served with a variety of sauces. Bone broth, chimichurri, and herb butter. All the sauces were fabulous with me, preferring the bone broth. Our side dish of roasted herbs brussels sprouts, and cauliflower in balsamic glaze, very tasty. We did the big finish with a large slice of delicious carrot cake. The host and the manager Mark came by and checked out on us to make sure everything was perfect, our server Devon made sure everything was perfect & treated us like royalty. Definitely a five star experience

(I will be booking this option from now on.) I ordered the surf and turf seasonal option with lobster and filet mignon cooked medium. I was surprised when a sea scallop I didn't order and a small glass of wine spritzer popped up but this is part of the chefs table experience - it was a sea scallop grilled with a chimichurri sauce and some crispy prosciutto. I would have never ordered this on my own so it was nice to try. I am a not a huge seafood person - the minute I cut into it I smelled the sea which was a turn off and I wasn't a fan of the texture but once I cut into tiny pieces and mixed with the sauce and the proscuitto I was able to actually find myself enjoying the dish plus boy did it look pretty coming out! The chefs table is nice because you get to watch everything be cooked - the mac and cheese looks amazing every single time - omg I must try it sometime. My waitress was phenomenal with purple and blue hair and the glittery eye shadow. She was so attentive and helpful. The steak was so juicy and cooked perfectly - I think next time I would get a larger steak or the grilled shrimp option as I wasn't the biggest fan of the lobster tail but still finished it. The salad was okay - I wish it had ranch instead. I also got the orange cream cloud for dessert to go which was shockingly light, airy and delicious - the citrus flavors with the passion fruit are so refreshing. I can't wait to come back and try something new . The place is beautifully decorated and they offer free parking options - the music is very low so you can have a conversation and even the chefs table wasn't too loud even though it was right next to the kitchen.

THE FOOD The kitchen delivered an outstanding meal from start to finish: * Shrimp Cocktail: Served with large, ice-cold shrimp. It was quite tasty and refreshing. * Wedge Salad: A quality bite! It featured a creamy dressing, generous amounts of great bacon, and fresh tomatoes. * Seared Ahi Tuna Tartare: A nicely composed dish. The fresh ahi was cut into thick rectangular blocks, and stacked on an avocado purée. It was covered with a tasty sesame soy sauce drizzle that provided a balanced salty-sweet flavor profile, all complemented by a refreshing fennel, cucumber, and carrot salad. * 15-23 Day Aged Filet: Cooked perfectly. It was juicy with a delicious, rich beef flavor. * NY Strip: While I didn't order this tonight, GM Kevin proudly shared that he considers their NY Strip to be among the Top 5 in the United States - definitely something to keep in mind for the next visit! THE SERVICE The service all around was impeccable. Our server, Mimi, and the bartender, Curtis, were excellent, and the bussers, Nick and Collin, kept everything moving seamlessly. A special shoutout goes to the GM, Kevin. He is incredibly hands-on, highly energetic, and consistently walked the floor to ensure things were going perfectly at the tables. His focus on the food, service, and the customers elevates the dining experience.
