Second time here and it's been great both times. The servers are very attentive I didn't wait long at all to get my order in. I had the braised short ribs. I'm glad I did. Mash and Oak is the hotel restaurant where the whiskey flows and so do the ironic mustaches. Picture bourbon bottles lined up like soldiers ready to fight off your good decisions. The menu reads like a Buzzfeed quiz. Part Southern comfort, part I'm corporate. Truffle tots? Yes. Pork belly sliders? Probably great, but I wouldn't know because I don't eat meat (you monsters). We're here for the Tuna sliders and they were solid. Bonus: they played music from an era I actually recognize. Revolutionary. read more

I'm not usually one to put a hotel restaurant on here but this one is a keeper. So typical lobby location with a nice bar. Our server, Elizabeth, was awesome. She answered menu questions and got us started on drinks. I noshed on the Marriott burger with fries. Great flavor and cooked to perfection. Nothing left on the plate. read more

I'm sorry, I never tasted the food. The service was ok. You just find a table and sit. They see you and someone comes by and asks if they can help. The prices were so high, I couldn't justify eating there. And other reviews say the food isn't very good. So, I said thanks and left. read more

I am staying here and the breakfast is EXCEPTIONAL! I also ordered the pomegranate field greens salad and it was also incredible! I am staying here so I usually get my food to go. The dining is indoors on the lobby floor. You have to take the elevator to the lobby from the street level. It's a big open lobby area with a large atrium. The salad was large for the price (12$+4$ for chicken). Chicken was normal grilled chicken but so many yummy Things in the salad sweet peppers, goat cheese, candied pecans, pickled onions, dried apricots. Very delicious. I get free breakfast with my reservation so I'm not sure what the price is but it is extensive and fresh. Lots of fresh fruit options always Belgium waffles with strawberry compote and they stay open and tending to everything all then way until they stop serving at 10am (6:30-10) some places like to Pack up before closing. A little short staffed If I had to guess . However wait staff was sweet, which goes a long way and distracts you (a little). Ambiance is great , right on the river and parking is validated if you eat at this hotel. (Don't forget your ticket).the steak was fatty , but cooked how I liked. No steak sauce needed that's how you know it's good. The wing sauce was tasty, because why? Bourbon of course, this is Kentucky. This isn't a must visit , but it wouldn't hurt to add to your list! read more

Went here while we stayed for the Black Dagger Brotherhood Gala. While the food was good, from the breakfast to the dinner, the biggest issue was service. I was lucky during the busy dinner service, but the very easy breakfast service; one morning, my ordered drink never came, then the next morning, me and my girlfriend and her family waited 20+ minutes for their drinks. The excuse was an issue with a credit card that kept our waitress occupied. I could understand this, but shouldn't there be communication between servers so that no one feels forgotten? This is the restaurant in the lobby of the Cincinnati Marriott RiverCenter. My wife and I stayed at the hotel on a recent trip to Cincinnati. One of the nights, we were tired and didn't want to go back out to eat dinner. We figured that it would be easy just to get some food in our room. This was our first issue. When I could not find a menu in the room, I called the front desk. The front desk told me that room service wasn't available, but that I could order from the restaurant to pick up. I then asked how I could view the menu, but the front desk stated that the restaurant doesn't publish a menu expect for inside the restaurant. This should have been a red flag, but we decided to go down to lobby and eat in the restaurant anyway. The first issue at the restaurant I encountered was that there is no host/hostess stand. This left my wife and I to wonder whom to ask for a table. I went to to bar. While at the bar, The bartender and host completely ignored me. The bartender was chatting with a couple that I would later lean are his friends. The bar tender and host continue to talk to the couple, comp them drinks and Ignore me. The host even ignored me when I said "hello" to him as he walked past me. There was another person with a menu at the bar next to me who also seemed frustrated that he was being ignored. Finally, my wife, whom had remained in the middle restaurant motioned to me that we had a table. The host sat us down, but failed to provide menus. We were left waiting with no menus and no waters for almost ten minutes. The host then came back and asked if we had ordered. I told him, "no", and it was only then that we received menus and waters. The host slammed our menus down on the table. I ordered a burger and my wife order chicken wings. I told the host, who doubled as our waiter, that I wanted my burger cooked medium rare. He responded by asking if I wanted my burger medium or medium well. I told him again I wanted my burger medium rare. We where given the bill prior to our food arriving. I guess they weren't in a hurry to serve us, but they were in a hurry for payment. Also, we were never given silverware and had to ask the bus boy for napkins. The food ranged in quality from mediocre to decent, and burger was cooked incorrectly. My burger was cooked, not medium rare, as I had asked, but all done. It was also super dry. All the toppings and condiments, including the mayo, where under the patty, leaving the patty super dry. I had to pour some ketchup from my fries to add some moisture. The fries were, however, crispy and decent. I didn't try my wife's wings, but she said they were good. The price of the food was not worth the so-so food quality. The burger and fries were $16.00. This was not a $16.00 burger, it was small, lacked taste and was cooked incorrectly. I did get a lot of fries on the plus side. Also some just some odd things happen in the restaurant while we were there. At one point, bright lights in a large part of the restaurant randomly when on. Someone shouted "my bad", and the lights went off. I heard of banging and crashing from the bar, including the sound of a glass shattering. My wife saw another patron who must also have been frustrated with being ignored because he grabbed a clean pint glass from behind the bar rather than wait any longer for help. The one bright spot was the bus boy. He brought us our food and quickly responded to our requests, including getting use napkins when the host/waiter failed to do so. He also timely refreshed our water. Overall, this place is abysmal. Do not go here. Avoid at all costs. read more

I usually eat here quite often, and although there were times where I had to send food back, lately they've been crushing it over here! I was told there's a new chef in the kitchen and so far I haven't been disappointed! I usually go for the mash and oak burger which has goat cheese and bacon jam on it. It's probably one of my favorite things to order here. I also usually order the pomegranate salad and add chicken and that one is surprisingly delicious with all the interesting items like apricots, goat cheese, pomegranate vinaigrette and a few other items that go really well together! Also the bar tenders over here are always awesome and always give their 100% even when it's super busy so special shout out to them!! read more

Best burger! Walked here alone (from Embassy Suites almost next door) while on a business trip & thoroughly enjoyed a burger & glass of wine. Great service, great food and comfortable atmosphere to just chill with a magazine. read more

I dread eating here in the mornings when I'm staying at the hotel. The servers are nearly hostile. No matter how patient and nice I try to be they treat me with contempt. They are crabby, inattentive, and rude. But it's a different story at night. The staff is warm, friendly and attentive. The food is great and the drinks are exactly as expected. read more

Our apartment building (Madison Place Apartments) is located adjacent to the Marriott Rivercenter and we love heading over for a burger or a drink at the bar. It is always a lovely experience and our bartenders are fabulous. read more
