Out of 10 inch pizzas at 4pm on a Saturday. Restaurant not busy. Waiter offered no explanation, didn't seem to care about anything at all. Never asked how the food was. Definitely won't be back to this location or maybe any BJ's at all. $32 for 2 personal 1 topping pizzas is a joke. read more

Whereas BJ's prices have significantly gone-up ( like everywhere else ! ), the quality of its food and services are going down. Was there last week to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Not only did we have a waitress on edge but also an expensively disappointing food experience. Unlike the $13 burger/ pizzolie deal I usually order, my " Classic burger " was very thin and the fries were equally tasteless and soggy. Un,Ike in past visits, my "tomato and Mozarella" salad only had two tiny chunks of tomato, hardly any dressing and was drowned in dried Aragula leaves. Most recently got take out of crispy chicken sandwich and baked potato with sour cream / bacon/ cheese . Food is usually good especially hot food as opposed to salads . Salads could be fresher . I've visited this establishment twice in the last month or so. First visit was a girls night out where we caught happy hour before a movie. We sat in the bar area and enjoyed some margaritas, mozzarella sticks and pizza. The pizza was pretty good (better on the prior visit), not sure I'd again. Tho it happy hour we did have some issues with our check, most were corrected before we left. More recently I came back for a date night. Alexus was our waitress and she was wonderful! We haven't been in a minute so we decided to grab a bite before our movie since it's so close. I ordered my usual avocado egg rolls and they are as tasty as ever. A little kick in a cold night and something you can't get anywhere else. My husband ordered the Brewhouse Bowl with e blackened shrimp on our server's suggestion and it was delicious! Everything tasted great and it was nice to have something healthy knowing the egg rolls and the popcorn I will have at the movie are not. Our server was great! A go-to place with a very large menu so everyone comes out happy. They have a M-F "$13 deal" menu now that has some really nice things on it - Italian Chicken Parm - excellent although a VERY small serving Chicken Bacon Ranch Piadina - also excellent- its like a chicken bacon ranch quesadilla with parm crusted pita-like bread. Both were "$13 ea" but even those two and an app, plus one iced tea, it was still a $60+ bill - upcharge for sweet potato fires, upcharge for side salad sub, upcharge for extra ranch. But its a very nice place, comfortable, great outdoor seating. Usually service is good, outside was really slow service - I would say their standards have fallen as our waitress was strange - casual and friendly (think Chilis like) is great and welcoming, but there is a line where it gets too casual and uncomfortable - we hit that. read more

I was seated up in the bar area immediately. I decided not to raise the issue of being seated in a quieter area, because I was sure they were trying to make it more efficient for the servers to serve everybody. After 5 minutes, I still had no menu. I started reading the menu on my phone from the web page. 10 minutes after I got there, I still hadn't been approached to give my order. Somebody dropped off a glass of water though. A couple minutes more, and I just decided to take off. I learned from the menu that their cheapest, smallest steak is now $25. And there's no way that my experience is going to start getting better after the way that it started. The woman who seated me didn't ask me why I was leaving. I walked past two servers, young men, who were just standing around talking with each other. I had to walk past them to get out the entrance. Edited to add: How funny. We went to BJS Boulder on Tuesday night, it wasn't one of their special nights except for 1/2 price wine and $5.00 Pizookis. I do drink wine so I upgraded to a wine outside the house wine. We don't care for the Pizookis anymore. I don't like dark chocolate and the others are too rich or have too much sugar. We used to like the white chocolate, macadamia nut but they took it away. We were lucky enough to get KEENAN as our server. He was absolutely terrific. He was courteous, friendly, attentive, entertaining, and made sure to get us exactly what we ordered and followed up to make sure we didn't need anything while we were there. He also asked if we had any allergies, (which most servers never do that). I explained I did and it was beans. He followed up on what I ordered to make sure there were no beans in anything in my dinner order. That was beyond what most servers ever do and I think it was absolutely terrific, and well above and beyond what we would expect. He was very pleasant, engaging, and went beyond what most servers do to make sure we had a terrific dining experience. The food was excellent, cooked to our liking, fresh and well presented. We also got to see Paula one of the managers. She is always so very pleasant, friendly, kind, humorous, and always a joy to see. We again had a terrific dining experience. The people are always terrific and a pleasure to see and interact with. Great job everyone. BJ's my beloved. I was in Boulder this weekend visiting CU Boulder, when it was announced that a lot of places were going to be shutting off power due to 100 mph winds. It just so happened that our hotel was one of the places that was shutting off power. With nothing to do, my brother, dad, and I went out to watch a movie at an area where there was power. After the movie, we needed someplace to eat. BJ's was close by and it's open late, so we decide to grab a bite. As it turned out, lots of other people in Boulder decided to do the same thing, on account of the power being out; it was bustling and the vibes were great. I ordered the chicken club, which honestly wasn't that bad. I know some people look down on BJ's but you gotta admire their consistency. There was good flavor from the avocado and bacon, and the chicken was plentiful (it was a tad overly salty, tho). The fries were also good, thin and crispy. Our server was also really friendly, stopping to talk with us about the faulty design of the water pitcher. Then came the star of the show, the chocolate chunk pizookie. This was my second time at BJ's, and this time around, I was DETERMINED to eat a pizookie. I'm glad to report it was everything I'd hoped it'd be. The cookie was warm, the chocolate was gooey, the ice cream was cold and creamy. Pure bliss. If you're out late at night and don't know here to eat dinner, GO TO BJ'S. We visited this location for lunch and ordered the brewhouse chicken and fish and chips. The fish was labeled as "blonde", however, it was fried so hard, it was very dark brown. It was not even edible. Thankfully, the server was incredibly nice and took the fish and chips off the bill. He is what earned the 3 stars. I would not recommend this location. read more

We've been to BJ's before, but this time the menu seems to be refreshed, which is nice! We were quickly seated and given waters. I ordered the Fettucine Alfredo, and it was pretty good, after I started making it myself I have become a tough judge to others' Alfredo. This wasn't the worst, but, there are better ones out there. GF had the Jalapeno Burger and really enjoyed it. It was cooked perfectly, a little pink for her, but we all know that a little pink is how it's supposed to be! Service was quick and everything we ordered came out hot and fresh. The inside is as you'd expect for a BJ's, nothing fancy. In past times, I have had amazing service that always made me excited to come back. This time, however, I had a server named Tom and he was really rude to me and my friends, his presence was threatening and he kept rushing us from the moment he gave us our food and would ignore us. When we were going to pay, he walked away as I was asking a question. He made me and my friends feel scared to leave. There were football boys and adults around us, and while he treated them with respect, because me and my friends were young woman, he took advance of that fact to pressure us and make us feel belittled. read more

Seated promptly by Alex, who provided me with two double-sided plus one giant four page menu! WoW. Alcohol Menu had no prices for Signature Cocktails or Wine. That's helpful, NOT! Roberto, my Server, arrived promptly and was nice and very attentive. After he researched the wine prices for me, I settled on the 14 Hands Merlot. Yeah, it is what it is ~ passable for $9./glass. For starters, I began with their Mozzarella and Tomato Salad. It was a nice size and appropriately dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette, but, mostly very "stemmy" arugula; little basil greens with intermittent mozzarella balls and largely diced tomatoes, mixed with grated shreds of Parmesan. Tasted okay. I subbed out the rice on my Fresh Atlantic Salmon and broccoli for tomato soup. It arrived quickly hot and topped with three large croutons. Very good. I opted to take half to-go, so I had room for my entrée. Salmon was good-sized portion in a lemony buerre blanc with lottts of bright broccoli and one slice of lemon. Niiiceee! (Okay, I asked for additional lemon wedges, but that's just me!) Overall, a pleasant Sunday dining experience. read more

Great selection of their own beers and although some of the dishes are on the small side, they were tasty. My favorite was the Poke Noodle dish. This BJ's location is fantastic, the interior decor is very ritzy and extremely welcoming. I came here on a cold Tuesday winters night with a friend to catch up and have dinner. The service was nothing short of 5 star, from the way we were welcomed, to the way the food was brought out, everything was exceptional. I ordered one of their burgers accompanied with their famous sweet potato fries, and it was absolutely mouth watering. The burger was cooked to perfection, nicely cooked on the outside, and slightly pink in the middle. The bun was nice and doughy with a hint of sweetness to it. For desert we got the chocolate brownie Pizookie with vanilla ice cream on top. This was by far one of the tastiest deserts I've ever had in the US. The cookie was to die for! It was nice and doughy in the middle, and crispy on the outside, which was the perfect texture for something like this. Overall I had a stellar experience at this BJ's. I'll be frank. I've only ever eaten at this franchise twice in my life. I've eaten at one in OKC and now here in Boulder CO. I've been let down both times. The start of todays meal was not off to a good start. When walking through the doors, the host at the door wasn't the most pleasant... rude. To add further salt to the wound, the Menu's received, were nasty, and the table had crumbles left from the previous guest. The positive note: Brayden, was the only light to the whole situation. He was our waiter, such a good waiter. He attended to our needs and made sure that the issues were addressed. On to the food, disappointing. This place is great for basic grub. Especially great if you have children!! They offer a pre-snack plate for kids before the food comes that is a small fruit cup and piece of garlic bread. The quality of the food is on par with Chili's and Cheesecake Factory. I am fine with those foods! As a vegetarian there are lots of options for me here. I really enjoy the large giant baked potato (pro tip of you don't want the cheesy broccoli you can sub sautéed veggies or their lentil soup poured on top) and on their current menu they have cauliflower barbacoa tacos in a pita tortilla and its very tasty.
