We've been coming to this area for several years and looking for a nice place, we this area is starting to kick up the options from what is mostly a brewery/tourist, fast food, ski town to some really nice places popping up. Well this place has an incredible menu. with option that will stand against any of the Denver area. For this meal we were just looking to get food, that was not fast food and get back on the road. We were very pleased with the food, the server was super good and super pleasant. The kitchen time was my only complaint. It took a really long time for the entree to come out. But once it did we were pleased. One of the things that I like about this place that you do not find at nice restaurants are options like Sandwisches, Salads and items that are still able to showcase the quality and creativity and are on the lower prices that gives everyone an option. And then you have the really upscale and incredible looking dishes that are pricier and likely worth every cent. Everything looked and sounded amazing. We tried the shrimp app, it had this amazing dipping sauce that was evident that it was homemade, light and citrusy, truly amazing and the shrimp cooked perfectly. The Salmon BLT was incredible, with huge thick pieces of peppered bacon, cooked perfectly and on an incredible bun, homemade chips, wow!!! My Thai Steak Salad was a really nice portion of tender steak pieces, the salad was really nice and a great light Thai flavor. For dessert, homemade Choclate truffles , with homemade Baileys Irish cream whipped cream. Really great meal, I wish this place the very best!!! read more

Pricey and a bit disappointing. We knew this was a high end restaurant, but for over $100 per person we came away disappointed and a little hungry. The steak was around $72 and not worth it - we make a much better steak at home. The portion sizes were small (and we aren't big eaters). Probably the worst thing was that we were seated all by ourselves in the back area. There was absolutely no atmosphere back there and the only people we saw all night were the parade of people in and out of the restrooms which were right near out table. We did have reservations. I could understand if we just walked in and that was the only seating option, but to be stuck in a cold isolated area near the bathrooms was unappetizing and not my idea of a nice evening out. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and the server was attentive. Overall, the food wasn't bad - just not what you'd expect at that price point. Other people do rave about this place, but sadly we won't be back. read more

We were looking for a place to eat and search top rated restaurants in the area when we found Bistro North. I am so thankful we did! We called to place our order over the phone with an individual named Jessica who was truly the best hostess/server we have ever dealt with over the phone. I was ordering for three people but indicated I had a dairy allergy. Jessica went above and beyond and ensured my specific dishes were dairy free and provided substitutes as needed. It doesn't stop there she triple checked my order over the phone noting where the dairy allergy needed to be emphasized and then ensured our order was exact as it came out of the kitchen. Jessica, thank you so much! You made our meal that much better by your thoughtfulness and care! We ordered a variety of items and none of them disappointed. We ordered the Flatbread with Goat Cheese on the side. Yum! With or without cheese this flatbread was delicious and had some great flavors. We ordered the Baby Back Ribs that were fall off the bone delicious! The flavor was amazing and meat was tender. We ordered a large Caesar Salad that was truly large. Two people split that and there was still a lot of salad left. They loved it. We ordered the Bison Short Ribs with Zucchini as a side instead of the puree (thank you Jessica for helping us find an alternative). This bison entree was very large and absolutely delicious. We had two bison lovers and one who is not. This was loved by everyone. The meat was so tender and flavored perfectly! We ordered the Pork Chop which was also a large entree but cooked perfectly. Finally, I had the Beef Tenderloin which was ordered medium. By the time we got to our unit, this tenderloin was truly still medium inside. Meats will continue to cook in the to go box so the care of the restaurant to cook this enough to ensure it was still medium inside by the time we ate was a detail I have only seen at one other restaurant. Thank you! This beef tenderloin and sides were phenomenal. The meat was so tender and full of flavor. By far the best restaurant in the Dillon/Silerthorne/Keystone area of Summit County. The food is top notch and the restaurant offers fantastic service with a great atmosphere (especially in the bar area). The menu reads like a fine dining experience and the quality and flavor of the food backs up the expectations built by reading the menu. However true to the name, it does have a bistro atmosphere so it is more laid back than a fine dining restaurant, which is great in our opinion. It is an out building in a strip mall, which does detract from the experience as you walk into the restaurant, but once inside that piece is quickly forgotten. In terms of food specifics, the filet mignon shumai was one of the best share plate / appetizers we have eaten. Very interesting explosion of flavor as the bite comes together with filet, Gorgonzola cheese and Thai chili butter. Very tasty and a must order. The bao buns and ribs are also fantastic, as well as the steak salad. Great choices throughout the menu. This is a must visit for anyone visiting Summit County looking for an u expected dining experience while in the mountains. read more

Bustling upper scale dining with an interesting menu and excellent service. The Thai steak salad was a tasty mix of thin noodles (not udon as the menu stated) arugula, tomato and tenderloin, light spicy dressing and peanuts. Very nice! The halibut was substituted with scallops because chef did not like the quality of the fish he was offered that day--that says things are fresh and the scallops were perfectly cooked on a bed of black rice with bok choy. The food was great here. The bone marrow could have used a bit more seasoning, but the chimichurri sauce made up for that. My pine crusted salmon was a little on the bland side as well. The food was OK, but not outstanding (at least what we ordered); but our favorite thing we got was the polenta with smoked gouda. I can't believe it took us this long to try out Bistro North. From the moment you walk in you are greeted & seated with excellent professionalism & attitude. I can't remember the name of our awesome waiter, but he was phenomenal The restaurant isn't super big, but the decor and vibes really set the mood/tone for the dining experience. I decided on the Scottish Salmon & was NOT disappointed! The pine-nut crust compliments how tender and juicy the salmon was. The risotto?? OH MY! Perfect creamy texture & the flavor was heavenly. I can't speak on the steak, I didn't try it but from the looks it was perfectly cooked, juicy & tender. I did try the potatoes with the sauce on the top & that was delicious The bison short ribs MELT in your mouth. They had such amazing flavor also! & the mushroom risotto was on point! Not pictured is the key lime pie we demolished. Soooo creamy, packed full of flavor and the crust was tasty as well even though it is gluten free. It's spendy, but WORTH IT. Oklahoman here, and this place is truly amazing -- I have high standards for food, as I am a decent cook myself, and this place made me feel inspired and motivated to try more variations in ways of preparing meat with various flavor profiles. To start off, the service of this place is wonderful -- staff is nice and accommodating, and they double check your orders or drinks before refilling, which is really reassuring and comforting. The inside of this place was also simply beautiful. It wasn't too bougie where you felt uncomfortable nor was it too simplistic where it wasn't impressionable or memorable -- it really complimented to feel of the place well Now it's time to get into the real reason why you're here: the food here is amazing -- from starters to entrees, there's not much to complain about and each flavor profile was unique. To be more specific, the tiger shrimp's breading was seasoned perfectly, as it wasn't too plain and could be enjoyed without the complimentary sauce. The bao buns lacked some flavor and texture, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. The flatbread is where the most mixed opinions rise, as the taste is rather heavy with the aioli, and rich with the vinegar, but I quite enjoyed it. As for the main course, the beef tenderloin, I can confidently say that it is the best steak I've had in my lifetime -- it is not a plain or simple cook with rosemary and butter, so it may not be appealing to many; but for me, the cherries and sweetness went so well with the steak that I'm going to start implementing that into my own cooking. However, all good things must come to an end, as the brussels sprouts were bitter and not up to par with the rest of the dish -- of course, it paired well with the cherry sauce, but the bitterness was too strong without it. If I did not live 10-12 hours away from this establishment, then I would definitely come back again, as it was quite literally life-changing. Come here if you enjoy the more complex flavor profiles in food, but if you prefer a more simple and plain one, then you might not enjoy this as much. read more

Bistro north saved our night after a nearby restaurant closed early not honoring our online reservation from their website. Fortunately, we had an amazing waiter who made us feel very important and told us we "were in for a real treat". He was right. Drinks were yummy. Food was great. Ambience and view spectacular. A little on the pricier side but the experience is worth it. A wedding party that night kept me from my first choice of the burger but the flatbread was good. I'm not in to pork belly so i would see if they could substitute the meat. The Parmesan truffle fries were wonderful. Limited dessert menu and full bellies kept us from trying the sweets. We had a wonderful server but couldn't make up for the average food and uncomfortable seating. We were a group of six and were seated at this strange oval shaped table, which was far too small for dinner service. Since the ends of the table were narrower than the middle, the diners at the end didn't have enough space for the water glasses, silverware and plates. Even the waitress advised using the windowsill as extra storage, which is strange for a restaurant that charges upwards of $30+ for entrees. Speaking of which...the food was not great for the price point. We ordered buffalo short ribs, chicken marsala, pork chop, burger, and a Thai beef noodle salad. The short ribs were just okay, needed to be braised longer and could've used more seasoning. The pork chop and chicken were the best dishes, moist and the masala sauce flavorful. The worst was the salad; this was sent back to the kitchen because the beef was cooked to oblivion whereas the salad was icy cold. The mango on the salad was actually still frozen, despite this entree being delivered about 5 min after all the other food. The waitress was kind enough to take the Thai salad off the bill because my companion substituted with a soup and side salad. The veg on the salad was frozen (again!) and the dressing way too acidic, but at that point everyone else was finished with their meal so we packed up and left. read more

Bistro North is a nice addition to the Silverthorne/Dillon/Frisco area of Summit County. They offer some alternatives to your typical mountain food. The menu is broken up into Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner. They have a HH (2-5pm) with $2 off cocktails, wines, beers, and apps but you have to sit in the bar area. We came in for a really late lunch around 3pm and the chef was nice enough to let us order something off the Dinner Menu which doesn't start until 4pm. We ordered the Fried Calamari, Thai Steak salad, Shrimp Po Boy with Truffle Fries, Burger with tomato soup, and two Escargots. Each dish was presented well and we were quite full. My kids are a little weird and love to order escargot whenever they can. The preparation here was unique with the little slimy guys being covered in blue cheese. Not their favorite version but still fun to order while up in the mountains. read more

I don't even know where to start bc this place was so amazing. We chose to celebrate our 38th Anniversary here while on vacation and Bistro North was the perfect place to do that. From the minute we walked in we knew we'd pick the right place. They greeted us with happy anniversary, a card then we were brought a complimentary champagne toast. So nice. Our server was Cody ( he was fantastic) and he helped with menu selections especially when what I wanted was out. He recommended the salmon said it was the best he'd ever had. I hesitated bc I cook salmon at home every week. But Cody was right best salmon ever. Each bite I took melted in my mouth. My husband got the chicken/shrimp pappardelle pasta and the flavors and freshness were on point as well. My husband also enjoyed a nice hazy iPa and I had the Cakebread Chardonnay. We topped off the night with melt in your mouth chocolate truffles that had Baileys in them surrounded by whip cream. We were pleasantly full and beyond happy with our restaurant choice. They checked on us frequently and accommodated drinks for our girls that are 7 and 8. Food came out quickly. However, I give them only three stars, based on our drinks and food. First off the lobster Benny was delicious! Beautifully presented. Unfortunately, our bloody Mary's tasted watered down. The chicken sandwich was also blah and really needed better bread and flavor. Overall a pleasant experience. We were sent there by their sister restaurant as they had to close abruptly. It was our anniversary dinner so we were hoping for a special dinner. The service was solid but our server really could explain the dishes. My shrimp pasta was excellent, my husband's bison short ribs were average at best. Desserts were hit and miss as well. Food was fantastic We had 5 of the starters and 2 mains, all I would go back for My favorites were the roasted bone marrow and the filet shumai. The bai buns looked delicious but my daughter scarfed the lot so no tastes for me. The calamari was good but not notable, needs a little more seasoning and maybe a spicy side as an option instead of the heavy mayo based dip. The bison shirt ribs were excellent, chef did a great job on those but again, maybe a little pan Jus. I visited Bistro North while on vacation in keystone for 7 days. This place is nothing special if anything its very over priced for what they are actually serving. The place is very nice and the service was good. We started off with the fried calamari they were pretty good and were served with yum yum sauce. For entre I ordered the chicken Marsala it was pretty good as well .. a chicken breast with a side of mash potatoes and a whined mushroom sauce $28 The ranch burger The meat was very dry and tasteless it served with cheese that's barley noticeable, avocado which just made it all taste bland..i do not recommend $18 Parmesan truffle fries were very good they did not come with the burger they were an additional side we asked for. Good selection of wines. We began with the bao and the tacos starters . I liked the unexpected fusion aspect of it, i.e., the bao included Mexican flavors and the tacos included Asian flavors. Both were good. My husband had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had the keema, a curry with forbidden rice which was delicious and fresh--flavorful but not too salty. We were too full for dessert. Quick and friendly service as well. We sat on the patio which was lovely. This will definitely be on our list when we return to the area. read more

We went for my husband's birthday and Kristen was BEYOND FABULOUS!!!!! She had GREAT recommendations and was truly fun to have as our server. Super friendly and joyful. The food was AMAZING. My husband (who is a huge foodie) said it was THE BEST MEAL he has EVER had. We ordered the Bao Buns were really good. The Bison Short Ribs were falling off the bone and sooooooooo juicy. Bar far the best I ever head. The Salmon of course is always a favorite by me and I wish we had more room to fit more food. It was SOOOOOOOOOO good that we stayed the night at nearby hotel to try and enjoy the Sunday Brunch. We got there JUST as they opened thinking there would be a crowd and surprisingly there wasn't. We brought the dogs with us and sat outside on the patio. There are heaters out there but the sun was shining perfectly that even though it was cold, we didn't need the heaters on. We got the special burrito to go because we just didn't have room to try everything we wanted while we were there. We got the Chicken and Waffles and chicken was good. Waffles were a little too done but everyone likes it differently. I got the pancakes and most places have too heavy of Pancakes but these were light and fluffy. Had I know that ahead of time, I would have gotten 3 or 4 pancakes. They were PERFECT!!!! I HIGHLY recommend this place and we drive over an hour to get there and will gladly do it again. We plan on trying everything on the menu. Please support local restaurants. You WILL NOT regret spending a few extra bucks for a nice meal. We cannot wait to go again. read more

I was heading down to Denver and looking for a new fun place to stop at, and Bistro North certainly delivered nicely. I ordered the Berry Nojito and a Pineapple Express. Preferred the pineapple mocktail, but would certainly enjoy both again. Wonderful and knowledgeable Ashley steered me to a lunch special sandwich and paired nicely it with potatoes, when I got stuck deciding between so many great options. Deliciously finished my driving stop off with a decadent Chocolate Mousse. Everything fit together so nicely flavor-wise and everything on the actual menu had much appeal.
