Had an amazing time here today! As three young people in our 20's, it's not infrequent that we get judgmental or subpar service just by being younger guests. But as soon as we sat down, we knew that wouldn't be the case here. Natalie D. was incredibly bubbly, helpful, and funny, and made our beautiful rooftop meal even better than we expected. She ensured we got our happy hour stuff in by 5 pm, had great recommendations (which is always amazing, as indecisive people), and made us feel welcome and special. The cajun dry rub wings were amazing and the happy hour portion was generous for both those and the truffle fries. For entrees we had the braised short rib, HH smashburger, and scallops with truffle polenta. Everything was tasty! The polenta was slightly bland but polenta often is; Just ask for some lemon and salt on the side and it would be perfect. The scallops were cooked perfectly! Also the cocktail of the month for July, the Butterfly Pea Daiquiri, was delicious! Perfectly balanced and refreshing. Strongly suggest this place for a nice Strongly suggest the seared ahi tuna appetizer even though it comes with sad side salad no dressing even though the menu claims a carrot salad. Wow! What a hidden gem. It's at the top of a hotel. I actually found out about from a sweet lady I sat next to on a flight to Colorado earlier that week. The view is amazing! The atmosphere is classy yet laid back. Beautiful decor and bar. They have half price bottles of wine on Wednesday. That was a nice surprise. We enjoyed their coconut shrimp. We had high hopes for hosting our wedding reception here, but the experience was ultimately stressful and disappointing. Communication from our original contact, Shawn Q., was slow, unprofessional, and at times outright rude. Key details were changed without notice, questions went unanswered for weeks, and there was no proactive planning support. After posting in Colorado wedding groups, multiple brides reached out to say they also felt like a burden for asking basic questions, so this seems to be a pattern, not an isolated case. The final straw was traveling from Chicago to Dillon for our menu tasting, only to find it hadn't been planned at all. Shawn Q. wasn't even on site, despite selecting and confirming the date and time six weeks earlier. When she did arrive, she was very late, came in with an attitude, and never offered an apology. On the positive side, Hunter, the Food & Beverage Manager, handled a bad situation with professionalism and empathy, and GM Shawn O. was courteous, responsive, and promptly refunded our deposit when we chose to cancel. Unfortunately, the prior 10 months of poor communication had already left us uneasy about trusting this venue with such an important day, and we ended up finding a new location just 3 months before our wedding. The views are beautiful, but if you're planning a wedding here, make sure you have the right people involved (like a dedicated wedding planner), or be prepared for unnecessary frustration. This venue has been the only stressful part of wedding planning for me, and we are relieved to have moved on. Tips: Review the bar packages carefully. At $45 per person per hour, a 5-hour event for 60 guests would be $13,500, making the $12,500 minimum for the 60-person "Loveland" package feel like a bait-and-switch. Went out for a girls night. We were all from out of town and the Vue was close in proximity to our stay. The service was wonderful. Our server was Stacy and she was very kind and accommodating. On the other hand the food was quite a disappointment. Our drinks were great. The experience we had was the scallop dish was very bland and even the scallops had some grittiness to them as my friend would describe. It's nice to have a bar/restaurant at your hotel so you don't have to drive. The wife and I came up for cocktails after being tourist in the area all day. Nice place! The bar was nice, the cheese curds were good and we enjoyed the "Vue". It does have great views of the mountains and Lake Dillon. It is pricey but we really didn't care much. The place is new, the wait staff are young kids from the area trying to make a go it. So, if you did get good service give them a little love with the tip. I asked if they were able to pocket their tips or had to pool them. Our young lady said she got to keep them. Would I make this my regular watering hole? Probably not, but if you're in the area it's definitely worth a "one and done". It looks like a great place to rent out for small social gatherings as well. Jordan, the Manager, was kind and went out of his way to make us feel welcome on both visits, even while being Hostess, waiter, and Manager! Austin was the bartender the first night and was a super cool guy who made beautiful cocktails! Another guy was working that night who had only been there three days (sorry, I did not catch his name), and he was so upbeat and friendly! Our food, from appetizers, salad, and main course (a perfectly cooked filet), was fantastic! On top of all that, the view was breathtaking!
