I absolutely love the Happy Hour at Bistro Napa Restaurant in the Atlantis Casino (Floor 2 near the Grand Ballroom)!!!! I come here for any special occasion like birthdays, anniversaries family visitors from out of town, end of summer vacation, whatever! The food is exceptional. The menu updates periodically but many favorites have been around for a long time. I ordered the Manila Clams and the Korean BBQ ribs and the Sexy Fries. Never disappoints. The drink specials are incredible! One could easily pay $18-25+ somewhere else for the BoxCar Willie or the Samurai Sour or any other Bistro Signature Cocktails. I have certainly enjoyed the Bistro Classic Cocktails such as the Moscow Mule or Hibiscus Manhattan. Terrific!!! The service is professional, proficient and personable. The ambiance is classy, comfortable and spacious. This is truly the best Happy Hour experience of any place I have ever been! Ever.

Bistro Napa is one of the few restaurants I return to again and again, especially when I have out-of-town guests. Every visit reminds me why it's one of my favorite dining experiences. Tonight, Bryan demonstrated how great service becomes truly extraordinary. He was attentive, genuine, and made our evening feel special from beginning to end. The food, as always, was top-notch. The cocktails were fantastic, the mocktails were just as thoughtfully crafted, and the bread is always a highlight. One of my cousins, who was visiting from out of town, declared this the best meal of his trip and Bryan even made one of his dining dreams come true with exceptional hospitality. Thank you to Bryan and the entire Bistro Napa team for another incredible evening. As a local, I'll continue coming back, and I'll proudly keep introducing friends and family to this iconic Reno dining destination. Every visit exceeds expectations. This version is warm, personal, and highlights both the exceptional service and the consistently outstanding food exactly the kind of review that stands out on Yelp.

The drinks are always great. No issues really ever. West is also a fun bartender. I wish the food menu offered a tad more Gf dishes, they've changed the menu quite a few times over the last couple of years and there are some things that haven't left, but I really miss a taco option. They were pork then they had shrimp or maybe the other way around but now none at all. They still have sexy fries which are yummy. They do have a gluten free crust for flatbread and when I had it the first time it was really good but the next two times it was undercooked. I also don't want pizza every time I come. It's still an excellent happy hour it's just a preference for myself and knowing what it used to be!

I came here to celebrate my birthday and I wish the experience was better. There were a few issues with the main dishes that we ordered. The Kansas City Ribeye: I had split this plate with my husband and the server said that he'll have them precut the meat before serving. Big mistake. We saw our steak was sitting under the heat lamp for maybe 10-15 mins before it came to our table and once it arrived it came out really dry and tough to chew because the juices seeped out while under the lamp. The Steak & Frites: This dish was for my daughter and I had ordered it medium so that it wouldn't be too red for her. It came out medium rare so she couldn't really eat it. The Burger (To-Go): So we wanted to order the burger to-go for a friend of ours and I'm not sure why the server had put in the order the same time as our dine in-order because usually the server would put in the to-go order ticket before we would we be finished and have it ready by the time we pay. Our server told us that the to-go order was ready and under the heat lamp to keep warm until we were done with our food. That's atleast 30mins waiting under the heat lamp. When we gave the burger to our friend, he said the burger was really dried out. The only things we did enjoy was the calamari and the jumbo crab chowder. It was really such a disappointment because you pay so much money to dine here and you would think the food would be worth the money you pay for. Unfortunately that wasn't the case for me. This was my first time and probably my last time dining here.

I've been hearing about this place for yearssss It's hard not to call it "Napa Bistro" because that just seems easier to say but no matter what you call it- they have the best happy hour I've seen in ages. The bar gets full while the restaurant is simultaneously packed so come early and be patient. Yep- there is a wit for the bar happy hour- It's THAT good. At my age, I skip the drinks but the food was incredible. We tried meatballs, mushroom flatbread, and ahi tuna and ribs - super good!!

Went back for happy hour this time trying different menu items than last time. Pleased to report the chefs selection flatbread that day with hot honey jalapeño was perfection, super crispy and light, great flavor combo, would be incredible as a permanent item on the menu. The flatbreads are great value and bang for your buck. The drinks are super strong and yummy and creative, the strawberry caprioska tasted exactly like strawberries so refreshing and I liked the samurai sour it had some complexity and smoky texture to it. Some things I didn't like were there were only 3 tiny meatballs in the meatball dish, and the ahi tuna was like air four thin slices. The mussels dish was delish, broth was so tasty (of course anything with that much butter would be great), but wish they gave more garlic bread for it. The ribs were tender but a little cold, very tasty sauce on those. Now that I know what to order and what's good on the menu I'll be more likely to come back for happy hour!

Decided to order to go and had some espresso martinis while we waited. The espresso martinis were strong and delicious. We ordered their mushroom flatbread and sexy fries. The mushroom flatbread was okay, but lacked salt or msg or flavor. The sexy fries were well seasoned and crispy. It would probably be a different experience had we eaten there. Go for the drinks - pass on the food.

Note to self - Come for HH only... 3.5 stars rounded up. Quality/Quantity - I see that all my HH experiences are 5 stars. Unfortunately for them and I, our main dining experiences are NOT 5 stars. Today we got the following: Complimentary Starter = Good. Shrimp ceviche. Complimentary Bread = Winner, we all loved the bread and had seconds! More bread than I usually eat when dining out. Sea Bass - 3-4 stars. My wife said she would have liked a little more lobster in her dish. Decent portions. Filet Mignon - Our guest barely ate half of her dish. She usually does NOT order steak?!?! She usually orders fish. But she said it was cooked well to her medium request. Pork Chop - Over cooked. Sub baked potato for $3.50 more. The baked potatoes were small, so they gave two. And baked potatoes were also over-baked. See pictures. Elk Chop - My buddy recommended that I try this. I was thinking between this or my usual ribeye or prime rib. The waiter also said to go for it. Sorry, I regret getting this. My dish was over cooked also. The waiter recommended rare, I asked for Medium rare but I think it came medium... Decent portions, but was not able to finish all my veggies. Lastly, my other buddy got the salmon which was also over cooked. And so small of a portion. Sorry, I got distracted and forgot to take a picture. Complimentary cotton candy for 6 to share?!?! Maybe give us two next time...? Complimentary desserts to-go, which was a perfect pairing to my morning coffee cup. No one had room for dessert. I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon to wash my dinner down. Ambiance - Nice restaurant in the Atlantis Casino Resort. I just noticed a private room surrounded with wine bottles. Next time I will see if we can request that room. Open kitchen. Plenty of casino parking. Service - The bus boy was good. The waiter was okay. Both today and yesterday, I feel that I receive a little attitude when I don't spend enough $$. See my Lake Tahoe Aleworx Yelp review. We are just light eaters (but i'm a heavy drinker, lol). Price - $400 + very generous tip. My buddy is very generous, 25%+ tip. So we all followed in his footsteps. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success.

The most popular happy hour in town continues its streak by offering upscale food and cocktails at a reasonable price. I was a big fan of the wild mushroom pizza, the earthy goodness of the mushrooms on melted cheese is a winner for me every time. The calamari was perfectly crisp and chewy, and the sauce they serve with it is heavenly. We ordered a round (or two) of specialty cocktails to try: - Lavender Lemonade Martini - this was my favorite, perfect balance of sweet and tart. - Cotton Candy Martini - this was the prettiest and most fun to experience as it's served with a side of actual cotton candy that you stir into the drink. The kid in you will enjoy this very much! - Rose Martini - very solid and well-balanced flavors, it has a light and sweet rose flavor without being overwhelmingly floral.

I had heard that Napa Bistro had a good happy hour, but it wasn't until I finally went that I understood why people raved about it. We went on a Friday so it was busy from he get go and we had to wait about and hour for the first wave to start heading out. In the meantime we went to the bar and ordered drink and my experience started string here. I ordered a Samurai Sour and this is now one of my favorite drinks. There was four of us so when we were seated we decided to go a little crazy and ordered a ton of different things. You can see everything I ordered in my pictures but want to callout my top dishes, which is hard because everything was so good! But if I had to choose some as my fave for sure the Asian Ribs, Sliders, and Oysters were up there. The service was great. The bartender and servers were all great and made sure they would clean out used dishes to make room for all the food that came coming. And of course I ordered a couple more Samurai Sours. I would come back here just for the Samurai Sours but it also has great food so just worth it all around, and well priced at half off during happy hour!

Just made it for happy hour- don't need the sliders

2/12/26- Lucky day today, was able to get seated at the bar in front of the lead Chef Robert.. Very friendly and a funny sense of humor- First time trying steamed clams...no sand and really good.. Had to get the crispy calamari- sexy fries and the meatballs.. All were terrific!

Ask the Community - Bistro Napa

Social Hour is only at the bar area or for the whole restaurant during the social hour?

From what we've seen, it's only in the bar area.

Do they offer take-out? Or is it reservation only?

    Is it kid friendly?

No, it's a basically a bar with great small plate appetizers.

Does bistro NAPA have a happy hour now because of the Covid?

Yes - a maximum of 4 people per table.

It says vegan options on here. What are they? The spaghetti squash dish?

I think the butternut squash and pumpkin raviolis. Artichoke appetizer, salads obviously, and probably their sexy fries.

Does Bistro Napa have a Veterans Discount, and how much? Thank you.

No, the Bistro Napa does not offer any discount for veterans, but the buffet in Atlantis (Toucan Charlie's Buffet) does offer a 10% discount anytime for veterans:…

Our server was lovely, newer, but kind with a great sense of humor. The food was good. The salmon and red wine reduction was a very strange combo, skip it. The ambience was nostalgic of fine dining in days past with worn but comfortable seating and pleasant atmosphere. Although, having been too many fun dining establishments, the buses need some training. As they reached across us over us and around us to clear plates and serve. Sadly, the night was abruptly ended as the manager came over. And told us we had to leave because he had another table to seat at ours. There are many ways a manager could do this, and yes, we have been there for a little over two hours, enjoying our time, the service was slow, in a way that encouraged taking your time...a fine dining experience, which generally you would think would be unrushed. We ordered drinks, salad, salads, mains, dessert for 4... No split meals, no split tabs. One credit card and a generous tip. We had already paid the bill and were getting ready to go within the next few minutes because we all needed to be home before 8. The manager came over was extremely unkind and rude in his tone and request. He told me, without provocation, didn't care if we gave him a bad review. And two hours was long enough for dinner. We all walked out in silence, aghast at his terrible manners and words. All that to say, diner beware. This man undid a wonderful evening with a few sharp words and extremely awful service and poor manners. Realizing that had he said it nicely, we would've popped right up. We were already ready to go. And that treating your customers -who just spent a few hundred dollars with you - with respect and warmth versus treating them with contempt and rudeness. We will not be back. Not that he cares, but if you're looking for a place to have a leisurely fine meal over the course of a couple hours, this isn't it.
