Went to Engine 8 before catching a movie and it's such a wonderful combination! The only reason I gave 4 stars is the wine is just not for me - but the pizza is incredible! The spicy conductor might be one of the best pizzas in Reno/sparks. The outdoor patio is just so lovely in the afternoon/evening as it is shaded. Parking is easy as there is a free parking garage right next to the plaza.

I've been here many times and always receive phenomenal service. The owners make you feel welcomed, and the space is so cozy! I love the live music nights! The pizza is AMAZING, but last night we opted for the hummus plate and it was so so good! This is a fave spot in Sparks.

Fun place with a great pizza and appetizers menu. The owners are a couple blend their own wines that are very good. We had a fun conversation with Wendi, who was the winemaker and has recently brought on an experienced new winemaker from Napa/Sonoma and their first new varietals will be released in 2026. Looking forward to trying them!

Good food A very nice gluten-free pizza. We sat out side and listened to live music. A very nice setting.

We met a friend here and found it to be absolutely charming! They offer a large variety of wines and have a menu of sweet wines they make. I tried an $8 flight of 3 which were light sweet and refreshing. Our party also had a barrel aged flight. Our friend ordered the train wreck gluten free pizza. This place does pizza and wine Period and when you specialize in something you should do it well. Engine 8 does it well. They do have a limited selection of appetizers and desserts too. The ambiance and availability of outdoor seating are very cool. Great spot to meet some friends, conveniently next to the theatres in downtown sparks. Walkable area too. Highly recommend you pop in and try a glass of wine, pizza or a dessert. Bring some friends. I hear they have live music some days too !

Engine 8 is just absolutely amazing. From the food to the owners, to the staff and the wine. They are superb all around. We love to go on nights when there is live music, either Friday or Saturday normally. It makes it so fun and people get up and dance too. Such great vibes always. They have THE BEST PIZZA in town hands down. The ingredients they use are great quality and you can tell. It's a pizza that doesn't hurt my stomach after eating and I get to enjoy it with a glass of wine. Our favorite pizza is the spicy conductor. It's a must try. Pair it with a Barbera and you're in heaven. The merlot is also so good, it smells like buttery popcorn so fun and interesting. Mike and Wendi have an awesome business they have created here and are amazing.

We had the three meat pizza. It was very good. Great waitress and a cozy outside table near the Entertainment.

Engine 8 Urban Winery in Sparks is such a cool spot! They make their own wine--and it shows. Every glass we tried was smooth, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. The food was just as impressive--fresh, delicious, and beautifully paired with the wines. We were lucky enough to catch live music on Saturday from 4-6, which added the perfect touch to an already fun and lively atmosphere. This place is a total gem--highly recommend for a relaxed afternoon or a casual night out!

I've only been to Engine 8 three times. The first was years ago when they first opened. The last two times were more recent, mostly for quick bottle pick ups for gatherings. Engine 8 has great wine and great service. Most recently, I brought my grandma into Engine 8 to pick up some bottles for a family gathering. She was very impressed with their space. We were browsing wines and a nice woman came over to help us. She offered lots of recommendations and once we decided one a few wines she allowed us to sample three for free when we purchased two bottles! We tried the Malbec, the green apple, and the Barbera. We settled on purchasing the Malbec and the barrel aged Barbera. We loved the green apple but it was certainly on the sweet end. The two bottles were $30 and $40. A bit in the pricey end for a young wine, but well worth it to support one of Northern Nevadas only local wineries. Engine 8 does serve some food. I've only had the wine here. Overall, this is a great stop in the heart of Victorian Square. Enjoy some food and wine, then go see a movie right next door and make a date out of it!

If you haven't checked out Engine 8 Urban Winery in Sparks yet, you're seriously missing out. This place is an absolute gem and quickly became one of my favorite local spots. Whether it's date night, hanging with friends, or just kicking back on a Friday night. First off, the patio is amazing. It's got such a chill, inviting vibe--plenty of space, great ambiance, and when you add in the live music on Fridays and Saturdays, it's honestly a no-brainer for a solid night out. Feels like you're somewhere special without having to go far. Now let's talk pizza--because wow. Hands down, best pizza in town, no question. You can taste the love, care, and serious attention that goes into every pie. The Spicy Conductor is my personal go-to--just the right amount of kick--but the Steam Engine pizza is a standout too. You really can't go wrong. If you're more in the mood for something light with your wine and patio hangs, their Steam Bites or Capers Bites hit the spot. Perfect for sharing (or not, I won't judge). And the wine? Exceptional. I'm a big fan of their Barbera--both the regular and barrel-aged versions are fantastic. I also recently got a sneak peek of their new Grenache and let me tell you, it's phenomenal. What I really love is that they're always crafting something new, which keeps it exciting every time I stop by. Definitely ask them about their wine club--not only do you get great perks and a solid variety of wines, but you also get to drink out of those fancy, bigger wine glasses (yes, that totally sold me). It's the little things. What really seals the deal though are the owners, Mike and Wendi. They're genuinely great people who have poured their heart and soul into this place. You can feel it in everything they do. Supporting a local business like this just feels good--and tastes even better. Seriously, if you're looking for a spot with great food, killer wine, and a welcoming vibe, Engine 8 is the place. -- A loyal fan who keeps going back

For our anniversary, my wife and I recieved a ghost card to Engine 8. It was originally for a blending party for four, but could never get out schedules lined up for one. So one night, we decided to just head in for a bit and to try some of the wine. I'm so glad we did! They had a great menu with lots of tasty bites that paired fantastically with their wine. The wine is super food friendly and approachable. It's a lighter bodied wine with stand out fruit. It's not heavy or over extracted. I really enjoyed their blend and the syrah. the place is very comfortable and relaxed. It's just a great place to hang out. We'll definitely be back as we are new wine club members.

This was our first time in and we were so happy we finally made it down! We did 4 flights and tried 15 different wines of which our favorites were the Barbara, Battle Born Blend and Chocolate Cherry Port. All of which were very good. Fun, young, flavorful and food friendly. Speaking of food, we started with the Steam Bites which we both very much enjoyed and then had their beautiful hummus plate. The peppers were such a fun and lovely touch and the hummus and peta bread were very well done. We finished off with their Spicy Conductor pizza which we loved! The candied jalapeno's were knock your socks off good and I can't recommend it enough. Overall, this was a lovely place to hang out and the owners were very nice to chat with. We are looking forward to doing more here as we even joined their wine club!
