Came back for round two this week because once was never gonna be enough. The wood-fired pizza is straight-up addictive, and whatever magic they're working on those veggies should be illegal -- fancy, flavorful, no notes. Drinks are on point, staff is a vibe, atmosphere is effortlessly cool, and the location? Chef's kiss. New favorite spot. I'll be here more than I'd like to admit.
Tried Cosmos Snack Bar last night with a few friends. It is a cute little spot here in Reno in Midtown area. We had the Caesar salad which is kale, croutons and pecorino. Very fresh and the kale was a nice crunch. We also had the Margherita pizza and the Salad Daze pizza. The Margherita was a bit greasy but overall very good. The Salad Daze was a definite winner with olive oil, fresh arugula, mozarella, Calabrian chilis, perorino Romano, and garlic. The chilis added a nice spicy kick without being overwhelming. It was piled high with fresh arugula and all the flavors came together nicely. Food and drink orders are place at the counter and then delivered to the table. The staff and service was very friendly and helpful. They have a great happy hour Monday through Friday from 4pm to 6pm with great discounts on srinks and food including $5 off a 12" pizza. Great value. Overall we found the prices quite reasonable and enjoyed the experience and plan to go back.
Definitely adding this to top 3 pizza joints in town - great pizza great appetizers and great cocktails - awesome ambience, friendly servers, such a cool midtown vibe - def taking friends from out of town here! And they have different flavors of soft serve each day. My kid had a blast! Oh and the patio is dog-friendly too!
Had a chance to try this place and oh man what a treat. Little hidden gem literally! Small but really great vibe just outside downtown reno. The pizza was awesome, but the carrots and cauliflower were out of this world! Great cocktail, beer and wine options to satiate your desires. Everyone was helpful and polite and really great people. Awesome!
Came in on a Saturday evening. It wasn't too busy but it was very loud. I could hardly hear the person across from me talk. You order at the counter up front and seat yourself. They hand you a number and bring the food out to you. Service was excellent. There was staff coming around frequently checking on us and picking up empty plates. We ordered a 16" Rojo Tone and a Caesar Salad. Both were great. The dough on the pizza was perfect. Very soft. The ingredients went well together also. I'm not a huge fan of kale but the salad was great. I loved the amount of shaved cheese and I liked how there wasn't too much sauce. 5/5 - highly recommend!
I'd previously heard of cosmos but had never stepped inside until I saw that they were having specials for Valentine's Day and was opening an hour early in typical. It wasn't hard to convince my boyfriend to drive us there and wait until they opened and it seemed like a lot of other people had similar ideas as they were clearly busy for a Saturday at 3 PM. The interior is like a renovated brick and wood house, with a tight front entrance and a wide backside patio. We ordered off of their specials which were dozen oysters and Hamachi Crudo, and of course, their famous kale Caesar salad. The cashier was very friendly and even offered to make one of these special cocktails I ordered into a spritz with Prosecco, which was a great call. It didn't take long before we were served and we were over the moon with the taste of everything! I was really nervous about the food seeing how small and limited their menu is, but Cosmo's really nailed everything and I only wish I came here sooner.
My friends and I decided to stop here for some pizza and ordered the Rojo tone pizza and the meatballs for the appetizer. The pizza was really good as were the meatballs. If you're looking for a good pizza place I would highly recommend. You do have to find your own seating, which can be tough which a larger group as you have to wait for the tables to open up and constantly be checking for them. We had a few separate orders and were waiting for our ranch. When we asked the waiter for the ranch we didn't receive, he asked if we were lying because he saw ranch at our table. I told him that we had multiple separate orders and that was another groups ranch and he apologized. That would be probably the only negative I had from this experience. I really didn't like being questioned if I was lying about receiving a simple ranch cup.. it's just ranch!! Anyway, the pizza was good and would go back.
This place is the bomb! I could eat the kale Caesar salad everyday. So perfectly flavorful with garlic and Parmesan. Even people who don't like kale would like this! The cauliflower is also a must try! The pizzas are delicious and just unique enough to set them apart from other pizza establishments in town. Highly recommend giving this place a shot.
Cosmos is such a gem. We love the daily specials and happy hour here. We love the margarita pizza as well as their soft serve (flavors rotate). A must go if in Reno.

Nestled within midtown, this cozy European-inspired restaurant offers up a variety of appetizers, pizzas, and Negronis on-tap (along with other cocktails!). Additionally, the gelato, is something that they are truly known for. The service is seat-yourself and order up at the front. Everyone was super helpful and welcoming, which is always a plus! The food itself, was delightful! We opted for the Rojo Tone, which was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I can't wait to order other pies and try out other appetizers. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

They had the perfect amount of acidity and I believe it was a mix of beef and pork. The real standout, though, was the kale Caesar salad. Honestly amazing! It was perfectly dressed, great texture, and memorable enough that I'd come back just for that and the pizza. Overall, a great happy hour spot with casual ordering, interesting drinks, and a menu that hits more often than not.

There's a reason this place has favorable reviews and non stop lines at the counter. Pizzas are fresh, made to order with home made dough in fhe munganini fire stone oven. Had the margaritas pizza and Rojo tone both were excellent. We ate it at the restaurant so im not certain if it would hold up for take out since it is so thin but why else would you not want to eat on site when they have a cool beer bar as well. Staff is friendly while it might be a bit loud it is good for groups and family. Prices are reasonable and the place is very welcoming. read more
We ordered a Margarita Pizza and a Kale salad. The pizza is spot on delicious! Just the right amount of cheese and basil. Quality ingredients for sure! The Kale salad was good too. Hard to believe you're eating something so healthy. We had to try the Key Lime ice cream. We thought it was oat milk base. Our fault for not asking! Last time we were here we ordered a matcha flavor ice cream that was made from oatmilk. Delicious! Today the Keylime was more of a sherbet and tart. Next time, we will ask what flavors are made from oatmilk! read more
Margarita pizza add pepperoni. Excellent crust with good chew. (This is the key to a good pie) Tasty and simple. Bravo! Roasted carrots- unreal! Seriously who would think to order carrots at a pizza bar? these things are crazy good! I'd like to try the salads and the cauliflower next time. I saw some come out to other tables and man, all i can say is these things look amazing! They have a cool self serve water station with still or bubbly water and you can fill up a carafe or just a couple glasses. the seating is outdoor and indoor. I wouldn't mind sitting at the bar for a cocktail one day. For drinks at this visit we ordered a Rainier can and a High noon. Great place to have in Reno and glad to see them here. Great little, funky eatery, recommended by another Yelper. Spot on! Stopped by last night after a Pioneer performance for some drinks and grub. Clean, compact setting, small bar, tables and outdoor seating (a little too chilly last night!). Get your table, take your menus then head to the bar to place your order. Limited beer selection, nothing special. House red is decent. Ordered and food and drinks came up quick. The star is definitely the pizza and their Roasted Cauliflower. Even if you're not into the veggie thing, this may change your mind. Whole head of cauliflower seasoned with herbed tahini, chili crunch, pistachio, and fresh herbs, pops with flavor but not over the top. Being a pizzaholic, I'm a little picky (an East Coast thing ;-O..) The best of show was the Rojo Tone, thin, soft crust topped with red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, red onion, pickled jalapeño, fresh basil and hot honey (though this isn't on the ingredient list). Perfect medley of flavors, sweet, hot and meaty. A definite keeper. Sundays are a plus as the special is buy one get the second half off. Enough food for 4 with lolos. No problem parking (street and off street parking in back). Everyone dug into the pizza too quickly, no snaps!! Looking forward to our return read more

We usually love this place ordered a white pizza yesterday and their special rodeo pizza, the white pizza was burnt, I'm shocked they served it frankly, and the rodeo pizza was ok. Kinda a bummer and not what we've come to expect from them. read more

Such a standout addition to the Wells District! This fun, chill pizza spot brings big flavors and good vibes--we need more places like this. We came for an event and sampled their cocktails and wood-fired pies. The pizza? Absolute fire. Perfectly blistered crust, balanced toppings, and offered in 12" or 16" so you can't go wrong no matter what you pick. The menu is tight but packed with flavor--salads, snacks, pizzas, and even house-made soft serve. Super vegetarian-friendly too, with tons of veggie snacks and options. Affogato, spritzes, fun cocktails, and even a Negroni on draft--they've nailed the drink game. Pro tip: check their daily specials! *Monday - Meatless Monday: $16 Margherita + Peroni / Negroni combo ($7 bottle of Peroni and a shot of draft Negroni). *Wednesday - Pizza Lambo: Two-topping pizza + bottle of Lambrusco $50. *Thursday - Spritzday: All spritzes $10 all day. *Sunday - BOGO Half Off Pizzas. Such a cute space with plenty of seating indoors and out, with street parking plus a small back lot for easy access. Had to make another review of this place just to rave about how much I love it. This go around, I opted for no pizza and just wanted some 'snacks'. We shared the order of meatballs with added bread. The meatballs were fantastic and the bread was perfect for dipping in the marinara sauce. I tried the olive oil martini and was surprised how much I liked it. Dry at the top with a sweet finish once the olive oil hits your tongue We sat on the patio and enjoyed the cool breeze and twinkle lights. Love it here read more

Cosmos, you a cutie!! Am I the last person in Reno to discover your greatness? Probably! The whole experience was top notch! Easy street parking, bright airy atmosphere, sparkling water on tap? Chefs kiss!!! we were outside on the patio until the sun set and we had to move inside because we were cold. Staff - top notch, directed us to some solid specials and drink options, loved my first Negroni! The pizza was soo good, loved the perfectly cooked crust, the spicy sauce, and delicious ricotta! And I LOVED the kale caesar! This place has all the charm! read more
My first experience at Cosmos was through a Yelp food crawl event and upon returning it was just as good as I remembered! For my first time back since, we went as a group of 7 and arrived right a 4pm for Happy Hour when they opened. It was surprisingly busy at the time and we were able to grab a few tables and get in line to order. It's kind of a tight space and this time of year, while there are heaters outside it's a little too chilly to be on the patio. We got negronis, kale caesar salad, the cauliflower, meatballs, carrots, a margarita, a rojo tone, and a pepperoni pizza. The negronis were tasty and easy to drink, the cauliflower sauce was really good: creamy and a little spicy. I enjoyed that the meatballs were not just beef and the marinara sauce they were in was light and flavorful. The carrots and the labneh were a good combination since the carrots themselves are so flavorful. My favorite had to be the kale caesar salad though. it looks so cool in the little bowl and is nicely dressed with parmesan cheese and a creamy caesar dressing. I could totally just have pizza and salad while sipping on a negroni and it'd be a great dinner! Of the pizzas the rojo tone was my fave. I really enjoyed the salty and sweet heat of the honey and jalapeños. On all the pizzas the crust was nice and chewy and was great to dip in either the marinara from the meatballs or some ranch. It is extra but the ranch is worth getting! To end it all we had their seasonal soft serve flavors of chai and egg nog. Flavor-wise they tasted very similar but the chai was a little icier and the egg nog was a little creamier. We also had one version where we added bourbon to the egg nog and it made it like a boozy egg nog milkshake, super good! I'm already looking forward to the next time I can visit! read more

My new pizza spot when visiting my son in college. The Rojo, margarita, and meatball pizza were all delicious. Not to mention the meatballs. If you're looking for a pizza spot to try in Reno definitely go here. read more
Made my first visit to Cosmos to catch up with a girlfriend. Very nice space, but the acoustics are such that, with each successive arrival, it became harder and harder to hear my dining partner. Lots of families with kids, lots of energy & pleasant vibes. Just a very challenging environment for the hearing impaired. The seasonal salad was very fresh & of generous proportions. Delicious! The paper plane cocktail was also super tasty. read more
I can't believe I haven't done a review for Cosmos Snack Bar yet. It is literally my wife's favorite place, so much of a favorite place that she celebrated her birthday here. We have been several times and almost every time we sit at the bar. The staff is always at a friendly bustling pace. The feeling of the place is very european. The space is cozy while at the same time open and sleek. The menu is focused. Just a handful of great appetizers and unique pizza combinations, accompanied by a really good and specific selection of alcoholic drinks; local beers on tap, excellent spirit forward craft cocktails and some unique wines. We almost always get at least one of the Negroni's, either a shot or a full cocktail it always goes well with the food. And speaking of the food....we have had most of the appetizers as many of the pizzas. The last time there we shared the seasonal salad, carrots, a margarita pizza, a negroni and got our own desserts. She got the affogato and BOY was that fantastic. I also loved my yuzu ice cream as well. But the whole menu is excellent. The roasted Cauliflower is one of the MAIN stars on the menu. We of course will go back because we have already so many times before. Note: Parking sucks so be willing to walk a block or two to get there. Get your own water. I wish more places would do this type of service. read more

The food here is delicious! I ate here during happy hour and got the Cesar salad and meatball pizza. I especially enjoyed the salad and will be ordering it the next time! There's a cozy vibe to this restaurant and plenty of seating inside and out. Make sure to order some soft serve at the counter to complete your meal! read more
Have now been here twice, and wow! The salad daze pizza (+sausage) and kale Caesar are to die for!! The meatball pizza is also a delight. The vibes are immaculate. Seating is uncomfortable (according to my partner) but it didn't bother me at all. Very much looking forward to my next visit here! read more
Great pizza at a good price, even better on a Sunday. So Sundays are half of the 2nd pizza. My parents have a place in Reno, but tend to go to the same places all the time and I was up to visit. I took them hear knowing full well they are picky about pizza, typically prefer Napolitano style pizza. Everyone loved it. In a way, it's similar to Napolitano style and flavors, being that it is really thin, quality ingredients, soft and light, but I'm pretty sure its not 00 flour and its much larger than a Napolitano style pizza. The staff was friendly, it had a cool vibe, and I enjoyed the use of empty large tomato cans to hold the pizzas above the tables. I will be back when I visit, but I'm sure it will be a new regular spot for my parents and aunt. read more
Definitely good pizza and appetizers! I recommend their roasted cauliflower and caesar salad. The salad is nice because it is kale-based, instead of with iceberg lettuce. The Rojo and Green Machine pizzas were tasty. The best part of everything was the pistachio and strawberry soft serve to finish off the meal. Staff was nice, and inside restaurant was clean. Outside seating is a bonus! read more
