If you're looking for a late-night place to eat, this is definitely the spot! We really like the egg noodles here, and the other Vietnamese dishes are good too. The place is beautifully decorated with lots of lights, creating a fun and cozy atmosphere. Good service as well--you just need to give them a call! Highly recommended for a late-night Vietnamese fix!
Solid banh mis, I think most of their options include cooked meats so they are heavier than I prefer. Same goes for the spring rolls--very flavorful but so heavy.
Don't expect exceptional service at any traditional casual Vietnamese restaurants. The focus is the food because that's basically all you're getting. Bistro B has always been super well known in the Vietnamese community. Growing up, every time I would come-I would get the basic pho and spring rolls. I haven't been since 2017 that I've gone and now I have a friend who's a super adventurous eater like me, so I got to choose around the menu. The menu blew me away because what place has a Vietnamese household's traumatic childhood staples like bittermelon soup?!? This entire meal was incredibly nostalgic and heart-felt for me especially since I haven't been back to Vietnam since COVID has happened. This is truly the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant that I have ever been to. Food ordered; - 707. Periwinkle in Spicy Tamarind Sauce (ỐC HƯƠNG SỐT ME): I have never seen a Vietnamese restaurant with snails before. I remember eating this all the time in the streets of Vietnam. The sauce and Vietnamese coriander were incredible along with the snail texture. - 23. Asian Crepe with Shrimp and Beef (BÁNH XÈO TÔM THỊT): It tasted like a solid definition of what Banh Xeo is supposed to be. The size of it though is insane to me. I've had Bánh Xèo at other restaurants-which are made to normal sizes, but this size is insane. Definitely ended up being leftovers. _ 119. Angel vermicelli served with grilled pork, and roast pork belly (BÁNH HỎI THỊT NƯỚNG VÀ HEO QUA): It tasted like how it is supposed to take. Definitely great dish as well. Portion size is also huge as well, so leftovers as well. Drink order: 413. ARTICHOKE BOM - NƯỚC MÁT (Artichoke Drink, Jelly, Basil Seed): I often get artichoke tea, so I was super excited to show my friend who has never had this before. It was way too sweet for us, but adding water into it definitely made it better. BTW, he ordered the durian smoothie which also tasted good, but it was less naturally tasteful than other places. Overall, this is the best authentic Vietnamese food I've had in a very long time. If you're an adventurous eater, I would definitely recommend trying something different other than spring rolls, pho, fried rice, or chow mein. Everything is super acquired though, but I truly do recommend if you're opened to it. ALSO, this has also been the best service I've ever had at a Vietnamese place. You don't come in ever expecting service. However, the lady who took care of us brought us new fresh plates for our new dish which shocked us especially as servers from an upscale restaurant. Water did take a while to refill, but the change of new plates blew us away. Thus, the food, service, and the super authentic and nostalgic ambiance definitely was an amazing experience. We are definitely coming back for more snails and other dishes!!
I went here for a work event and ordered a sandwich and some egg rolls, a bowl of Pho, and finished it off with some avocado boba. Overall this was a good experience! This restaurant is very reasonably priced and you get so much food. The broth was flavorful, the egg rolls and pork belly sandwich were delicious and crispy, and all the toppings on the table made it easy to elevate your plate with the flavors you like. The ambiance was nice, but nothing social. Our waiter was attentive and we all got our orders quickly and correctly. Overall a good restaurant. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if there was gathering here, or I needed cheap, good food... then this is the place.
Bistro B!! I LOVE YOU!! The pork eggrolls are hands down the best eggrolls I've ever had in Texas!! Not only are they delicious - but the PRICE ($0.50 cents per eggroll), FOR THE QUALITY!?!??!?!?! UNBEATABLE. I came and grabbed a box for a family get together and they were such a hit!! Also - the customer service was great and the decor was so cute and classic!! 100000000/10 HIGHLY recommend!!
Our experience at Bistro B was wonderful. The service stood out immediately--our waitress was friendly, attentive, and always smiling. The menu is huge, almost overwhelming if it's your first visit. They have American fusion breakfast served all day, they have pho, Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, and Korean dishes. The food portions were generous, and everything we ordered tasted delicious. We ordered #33, #66, #76, #128, #209, #211, #519, We also tried three drinks, all of which exceeded our expectations. The hot Thai green tea, even without boba, had a rich, creamy flavor that was excellent. The regular Thai tea with boba was perfectly prepared, and the avocado mango smoothie with jelly was thick, flavorful, and refreshing. Overall, almost every dish was delicious, just slightly sweeter than I expected. If the chef could reduce the sweetness in the dishes (drinks excluded), our experience would be completely perfect.
The fact Bistro B is only rated a 3.5/5 is unfortunate. I'm honestly so upset I haven't heard of this place before now, but am very grateful to be in the know because I will definitely be a regular (so long as the issues I've seen in some of the reviews has been permanently resolved). The inside of the restaurant is really spacious & beyond what you order to eat, there are additional grocery items and other knickknacks for purchase that you can enjoy. There's large windows running around the perimeter of the building, so you can see into infinity and beyond...as far as the parking lot and nearby stores go lol. Since it's close to the Lunar New Year there's extra decor they've placed both indoor and outdoor, which is really cool to see. When it comes to food, they have an extensive selection to choose from. I really enjoy that they have a lot of photos to reference in their menu, especially for people like me that like to get an idea of what I'm ordering. During this visit I ordered their salmon vermicelli dish (Ca Hoi Nuong) , pork belly spring rolls & their Nem Chua Heo aka "vampire meat" I found over in their grocery area. Everything was made fresh to order & absolutely delicious. The vermicelli dish is quite huge portion wise, so come hungry or plan to have leftovers. The spring rolls were to die for. I've never had pork belly spring rolls and just loved the crunch from the skin bits they added in there, the moistness and rich flavor of the meat, chewiness of the rice paper & really well made peanut sauce. I'm so tempted to drive back over there just for those. The nem chua was also good, but just good lol. It's very similar to salami in taste if you've never had it before, but has a slight sweetness to it. I must warn that it is on the spicier side once you eat it as intended with the garlic & chili on top so have a drink ready. Overall I think this was the best $30 I've spent in a while. I can't wait to come back.
To me this restaurant is an experience and I love the ambience. The Curry Shrimp is a little spicy but not too spicy. The quail appetizer was spiced so well it was one of the best things I had eaten there. Very little wait time for a sit. Fast customer service
Man, we were really looking forward to tonight's dinner... We were not expecting our food to be served as quickly as it was! Unfortunately, that didn't help, it seemed like everything was pre-made & served lukewarm. Their General Tso chicken was hard, as if it had been cooked earlier that day and just sauced & served when we ordered it. For some reason my kid ordered pho, and it was not served until we were 1/2 way done eating. The egg rolls we ordered were not fresh... overall this was not a pleasant experience. This will likely be our last time we eat here. Hopefully we can still pick up their egg rolls and be happy with them.
#72 and Bo Kho (beef stew) with glass noodles instead of egg noodles were both excellent!! Served piping hot with super fresh ingredients. I eat a LOT of Vietnamese stew and this is as good as it gets, in the metroplex. Food was 5 star. The menu is extensive, largest Vietnamese menu I've ever seen. The plates and bowls were noticeably higher quality. Service from our waitress seriously lacked, only saw her when we ordered. Another waiter actually gave us good service by topping off of water and bringing an extra bowl. We were the only table in sight without a lazy susan of condiments (soy sauce, fish sauce and sriracha). Waitress never returned to check and I never saw her to flag her down. I had to flag down a different waiter to get the check and pay. One star deduction and my tip should've gone to the other waiters who helped us. Ambiance is trendy Asian, bright, busy and LOUD. Warning to those with sensory issues. My elderly mom with dementia was overwhelmed with the environment. Busy and loud are expected when a place stays packed because the food is crazy good. I highly recommend.
DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE! I way to go back now! My phone hit the spot! Fresh and powerful flavors! Great vibe and good music while I waited for my order. See you soon!

It is CRAZY to me that this place is rated 3.5 stars. I grew up in a Cantonese / Vietnamese household where all we ate was Vietnamese food. Every single one of my favorite authentic dishes was on this menu. I ordered (92) Steam Chicken & Flavor Steam Rice, (213) Water Spinach with Garlic Sauce, and (431) Avocado Smoothie with Boba. First of all, the menu is HUGE. It's impossible not to find something you would like. The water spinach came with a big side of rice. The chicken & flavor steamed rice came with a bowl of hearty chicken broth that had a bone with meat on it - which is just like how my mom used to make it for me. My server, Tien, was so nice and was extremely quick with the service. I finished eating in less than 40 minutes. The prices are extremely affordable, and I left with two big boxes of leftovers. The ambiance of the place was busy, full of families, and felt very authentic. I felt like I was in Vietnam! Would definitely go again. read more

I've passed by Bistro B many times on the weekend and there isn't one inch that isn't covered with a hungry customer. It's always bustling- but yesterday I got my chance. I stepped foot into a colorful-lovely goody adventure with bright colors and lots take in. I heard a voice say hello and guide me to the to-go area. Sandwiches- cold drink-hot drinks...but wait, there's more- an extensive menu to order from- it was pretty dang exciting. I'm so glad I was there on a week day so I could take my time and look at everything they had to offer at my own pace- I ordered two Banh Mi sandwiches, when you order two you get one free- and these sandwiches are GIANT- $4.99 flavorful and filling, busting at the seam. My go to is always grilled pork- the other two sammy I gifted to a friend and her family- still waiting for the report but I'm thinking they are still nibbling on those. Haha I had to get a Vietnamese coffee my favorite! It was also a tall order for $3 and some change. Great price, delicious quality. There isn't one single egg roll I've met and didn't love so I also scooped up some pork ones-three for 1.25, come on, you can't find that price ANYWHERE. If so, tell me now, lol. They were a good size! Crunchy-crispy- flavorful and just what you need on a chilly day in January. Go see them, they had so much more you have to check out. Still one of my favorite Asian restaurants in Dallas. Eggs rolls are 3 for $1.20. They have a HUGE menu and have even added breakfast plates now. The Taro drink is a must get. Service is pretty fast and friendly. They are open everyday until midnight. They cater to small or big groups. read more
The best nem nuong I had found in DFW. If anyone knows a place, please let me know! This place is a little far out but will make the drive to satisfy my cravings. Their menu is massive! You cannot go wrong with anything you pick. Their boba is good too. I only had the thai tea and since those are usually pre-made, its pretty sweet. The place is HUGE just like their menu. This was my first time here as I was visiting some relatives. I'm glad I went with family who already knew what to order because I was pretty overwhelmed at how extensive the menu was! They have a wide variety of meat, seafood, and vegetarian dishes, so there really is something for everyone. They also have some great deals like buy two get one free pho and bahn mi, and all-day breakfast. I was able to try their egg rolls, wings, drunken noodles, pho, clams, striped sea bass (one steamed, one fried), and bahn mi. Surprisingly, my least favorite bite was the bahn mi. I got the grilled pork and it had good flavor, but was more dry than I was expecting. I enjoyed everything else, even the seafood which I'm not usually big on. In fact, the fried fish brought out the Filipino in me and had me abandoning my table manners to shamelessly eat with my hands. But that's when you know it's good! Their list of drinks is also lengthy with lots of fruit juices, smoothies, and mixed options. I liked the lychee lemonade, but I'd definitely ask for it half or less sweet. The service is fast, friendly, and efficient. My mom pointed out how their workers do it all-- the food runners were able to put in any additional orders whenever they came to bring our food, so flagging someone down or waiting for our server was never an issue. My parents had actually been here before a few years ago on their last visit to Dallas, so they were eager to come back and enjoyed it just as much this time around. Plus, they're open late so we didn't have to rush our day time activities in the city (about 30 mins away). It can be hard to find a place that satisfies the whole family while traveling, so I'm more than happy to add this to our list of go-to's. read more
I've always loved bistro b. They have so many options to choose from on the menu and I love their combination banh mi and Che and drinks. They also have a lot of prepared food and desserts in the front that are yummy also. Every time I come I always have to get a banh mi and a dessert called Che ba mau, it's a dessert with beans, jelly and mung bean and coconut milk. So yummy! read more

Bistro B has a colorful and welcoming vibe to the restaurant. The menu here is extensive, any vietnamese dish you can think of. It was a windy cold day in Dallas, we just wanted a bowl of noodle soup. I got the bun canh. The soup was very light, the color of the noodles and toppings are similar to how they do it in vietnam. The seafood meatballs was probably the main thing that added that flavor to make it bun canh. My mom got bun bo hue, it was light in the flavor as well. The soup was also very oily at the top. Overall, a very interesting experience to say the least. We also wished the soup was hotter in temperature. Not a bad place to grab something quick. read more

first time trying any bahn mi since i moved out here 6 months ago. heard decent things so i went. I bought a beef bahn mi and a strawberry tea. Strawberry tea was pretty good, no ice was an interesting choice. The bahn mi on the other hand, was not very good. The meat was extremely tough. First bite I took I was met with a huge piece of fat in which i spit out. Every bite of this sandwich made me feel like a feral dog trying to eat meat. i picked most of the meat out in the end and didn't finish it. Overall, very subpar experience. Service was excellent and the ambiance was great as well. read more

Very authentic Asian restaurant/market. Service is quick and it seems that seating is open, just have a seat wherever. If you're doing take out, you just grab a menu from a table and go stand in line. The shrimp fried rice was really good, they just barely had any egg inside. The pho dishes are also excellent and they have deals on pho as well. They have a lot of unique delicacies that are culture-specific but it was nice to see everything and learn a little about tasted beyond my own culture. read more

Bistro B does not slack on their portions! The phos are huge and the flavors are out of this world! I got the spicy special and lemongrass garlic and let me tell you, the broth will blow your mind. The spicy special pho had a bit of sweetness to help with the slight kick. The lemongrass is a traditional taste with tons of garlic! I would love to come back to this restaurant and try all their dishes! read more

American born Vietnamese, I ordered the Bun Bo Hue (#129) and it was pretty good, I finished the whole bowl. I also ordered a avocado smoothie with icecream (#461) and I requested boba with it. It was the best avocado smoothie that I've had. 100% would recommend. The service was fairly ok, attentive, and fast and helpful. my mom (born and raised from VN) ordered the spring rolls but she didn't like it as much because it was missing herbs that you'd normal see in VN spring rolls. It was served mostly with rice noodle and lettuce with few shrimp. Everyone one else in my group (also born and raised from VN) ordered the Rice combo (#68) mentioned meat was salty, but overall was good. read more

Fast service with very polite servers! I got a Korean Fried Rice, and it was so much that it could feed a family of 4. A menu of so many goodies, it was so hard to choose because I wanted pretty much everything they had. I'm not even a fat dude but damn I almost finished my dish. Not authentic Vietnamese food. The egg rolls are very good though. Better in the air fryer. Menu ridiculously huge. The vermicelli (bún) has no veggies like mints that come with a classic bún thịt nướng. The mi xào giòn (bird nest noodles) is okay... the beef has kinda weird texture and the chicken too. There also was pineapple in it? idk i was confused. Seems like the theme with this place. But for the price, it's a TON of food. so that's a plus. Boba drinks were really really sweet. read more

I was more impressed with the decorations than I aas the food. Now, don't get me wrong - the food is solid and I would go back to try more items on the menu. I would like to think that maybe some other items taste good too. My coworker frequents this place and he brought me here. The menu is extensive! It has plenty of items to choose from, including some Mexican food, which was strange. Why would anyone go to an Asian restaurant for tacos? Anyway, I settled on Sesame Chicken. It comes with white rice. My coworker failed to tell me that the portion sizes are huge. When our food came, I was wowed. Did I finish my food? Well, I tried to. I really didn't eat all of that rice since I'm cutting back on carbs. The chicken...some pieces were too dried or fried and was crunchy. I hate rubbery, dried out chicken. Some pieces were moist and soft. It's hard to pick out the ones you want when they're covered in sauce. At any rate, I had mostly soft pieces of chicken so I didn't complain. We visited at the start of the Chinese New Year season. All of the decor was cute. I think some of it is always in there. I would definitely go back to visit with my coworker. Is this good for a group dinner of 50 to 100?
They have several tables, but they're round in the middle for 10. and along the sides are long booths for 6. So you can't all sit together. And you'll prob take up the whole restaurant. It's all one dining area and no separate party rooms.
