Haven't been back in years, but I was recently hearing about how quality was back up. This is a very popular spot for Pho. We got started with the shrimp spring roll and pork belly spring roll. I really enjoyed the crispyness of the pork belly option. The combination meat pho was good, but the quality of the meat seems...questionable. The tripe had a bit of an off flavor to it. Some meat had an off discoloration to it. Pho was a 4 out of 10. The pork vermicelli was very flavorful, and I really enjoyed it. When checking out I of course had to get the sweet deal of 3 pork egg rolls for a dollar fifty. Hard to beat the buy 2 get 1 free pho, but this may be the last time we visit for another good while. The menu is massive, and while they offer a lot to eat, nothing stood out and wowed me. If you want options galore that sacrifices a bit on quality in doing so, then this is the spot. read more

I was a little overwhelmed by the 15 page menu but once I went through it once and went through it again I was able to zero in on exactly what I wanted! The food was so yummy! Bistro B has always provided a large variety of foods to get, which is a great reason to come if people are craving a lot of different types of food. The menu seems to have expanded more than the last time I came 1-2 years ago. It took a good 10-20 minutes to get seated and have our order taken on a Sunday afternoon but it was pretty busy. Our water came even later, which was a little suprising. Once we ordered, the food came relatively quickly one at a time after that. We opted to the grilled pork and shrimp sausage spring rolls, which were delicious! The meats were still warm from the grill and the sauce was warm as well. One of the best places to get these spring rolls, and I would definitely get then again. We got the hu tieu and they use a dried salt mixture as the seasoning instead of the sauce I was expecting. There was lots of good seafood and other various meats in the combination one that we got. I just wish it had the sauce that I am used to. It was still good but not my favorite. The water spinach was good. A good vegetable to get if you are craving it or want vegetables. The sticky rice with chinese sausage and pork was probably the most disappointing dish we got. The rice had a heavily coconut flavor, which was a little too much for our liking. The meats on top were all good but we ended up not finishing this dish because we did not enjoy the rice. Overall, Bistro B remains a decent choice for vietnamese cuisine and other asian cuisine as they have such an extensive menu. I wouldn't say the food is always the best quality but I think everything is decent and there are probably some items that are really good! What can I say. This place has so many options and their menu even got bigger with breakfast options. Whether you dine in or take out, they have a little bit of everything for everybody. Everytime I have a get together or event I always place big egg rolls orders and you get it in a timely matter. The service is quick and there's not usually a wait. It's a bit warm in there with their open concept. The decor is kinda Vietnamese/ Americanized. It's almost like modern with culture feel, might be a bit much. Overall the food tastes good, service is quick and they open late which is a plus. I would give it a 4.5. read more

Mid. Bistro B isn't super impressive but I appreciate that they have a large variety of Vietnamese foods. I was invited here with a large party. There were 8 of us and we all got pretty much different dishes. I got their Big Tex Pho (#34) which I actually thought was pretty good. It had beef and beef meat balls in it. The meat was okay but their meat balls were pretty good. The broth was nice and wasn't super oily like some pho places. I just didn't like that they didn't get me any lemon and I had to ask and I didn't get some of the greens that normally came with it. Good but not the best. The rest of my party thought their food was okay. The com tam was okay but was presented very nice. Some of the items tasted weird in it. The person who got their hu tieu didn't like it. Their portions are larger here than any Vietnamese place I have been to. I also like that they had pretty much all types of Vietnamese food here. Oh and they had lots of specials like buy 2 get 1 free. The service was excellent. They were friendly and we got our food fairly quick. I also like that the restaurant is pretty large with a bunch of places to sit and eat. They even had outdoor seating as well. read more

Bistro B is THE place to go! If you're in Dallas, you must make your way over to this Vietnamese restaurant. It's worth the drive, no matter how far. I visited Bistro B at around 11 p.m. on a Thursday with two other guests. The restaurant was quite bustling. Because the restaurant closed in an hour, we had to place a to-go order, but we were permitted to dine in. However, we ended up taking our food to go. I order the #202, stir fry tofu with mixed vegetables, which came with white rice. I paid about $12 and received so much food! The entire meal was so tasty. The tofu was so tender and melted in my mouth. One of my fellow guests ordered the vegetable pho and paid about $14. She received so much food, like enough to feed at least 3 people. The Bistro B menu is so extensive. There's something for everyone, from phos to sandwiches. And everything is reasonably priced. The restaurant also has a HUGE drink menu, featuring tea, boba, and smoothies. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so charming. Even though we didn't dine in, we enjoyed the fun light fixtures and decor. I will definitely be visiting Bistro B again. The staff were so friendly and I'd love to visit again when I have more time to enjoy it all. read more

I have to say, very good food,good price and the staffs are very nice and friendly especially chị Thu, the cashier. We got sat and WE WAITED 10+ minutes to be greeted by our server ( It wasn't busy only 3- 4 other tables). The food came out super duper quick which is good in some cases. The menu here is like the Cheesecake Factory of Vietnamese dishes! The place has every Viet/Asian dish you could think of-- phở, bánh mì, vermicelli noodles, udon noodles, fried noodles, stir fry, rice dishes, Vietnamese breakfast, meat entrees, stone pot meals, hot pot, boba, chè (sweet dessert), etc. Some Viet dishes I cannot easily find anywhere else in Dallas. And the best thing about all of this is that their prices and all-time deals (e.g., Buy 3 Get 1 Free Banh Mi) are unbeatable :) The portions are huge so I always come home with leftovers! One time I ordered a chicken curry for about $13 and they were able to give me a giant bowl of curry with a fresh pot of rice almost the size of a rice cooker. I've come back many times and have tried lots of dishes but my favorites have to be their spring rolls, phở, bánh mì, and bánh hỏi. My favorite waiter here is Danh! Danh tries to help me out every time he sees that I've come by, even if I'm received by another waiter. My first time visiting Bistro B was almost 20 years ago, and now visiting from out of state again, the place has changed so much - for better and worse. Overall, it's still a pretty decent Vietnamese restaurant to dine. For better - they have sweet desserts and snacks station against the wall in the back. Theirs so many yummy che so I felt like a kid stepping to a candy store with all the sugar rush with my hungry eyes. . It is CRAZY to me that this place is rated 3.5 stars. I grew up in a Cantonese / Vietnamese household where all we ate was Vietnamese food. Every single one of my favorite authentic dishes was on this menu. I ordered (92) Steam Chicken & Flavor Steam Rice, (213) Water Spinach with Garlic Sauce, and (431) Avocado Smoothie with Boba. First of all, the menu is HUGE. It's impossible not to find something you would like. The water spinach came with a big side of rice. The chicken & flavor steamed rice came with a bowl of hearty chicken broth that had a bone with meat on it - which is just like how my mom used to make it for me. My server, Tien, was so nice and was extremely quick with the service. I finished eating in less than 40 minutes. The prices are extremely affordable, and I left with two big boxes of leftovers. The banh xeo was ginormous and was placed in a big foil pan. They even provided plenty of fixings. Lots of filling but the crepe tasted overcooked and hard. I Saw Roaches Near the Ice - Never Again I went to pick up my order after 25 minutes (even though they told me 10), and they couldn't find it--so I had to wait another 10 minutes with my toddler. While waiting, I saw roaches behind the ice used for smoothies. Totally unacceptable. When I got home, my order was wrong, and no one will let me speak to a manager despite calling several times. This was my first time here as I was visiting some relatives. I'm glad I went with family who already knew what to order because I was pretty overwhelmed at how extensive the menu was! They have a wide variety of meat, seafood, and vegetarian dishes, so there really is something for everyone. I was able to try their egg rolls, wings, drunken noodles, pho, clams, striped sea bass (one steamed, one fried), and bahn mi. Surprisingly, my least favorite bite was the bahn mi. I got the grilled pork and it had good flavor, but was more dry than I was expecting. I enjoyed everything else, even the seafood which I'm not usually big on. In fact, the fried fish brought out the Filipino in me and had me abandoning my table manners to shamelessly eat with my hands. But that's when you know it's good! Their list of drinks is also lengthy with lots of fruit juices, smoothies, and mixed options. I liked the lychee lemonade, but I'd definitely ask for it half or less sweet. The service is fast, friendly, and efficient. My mom pointed out how their workers do it all-- the food runners were able to put in any additional orders whenever they came to bring our food, so flagging someone down or waiting for our server was never an issue. My parents had actually been here before a few years ago on their last visit to Dallas, so they were eager to come back and enjoyed it just as much this time around. Plus, they're open late so we didn't have to rush our day time activities in the city (about 30 mins away). Walking in was a massive hot mess. Not joke about it. People told me the food is good and great price. However walking in it was coward, not cleaned, food was on the floor, kids running around, people selling things to other people. One thing, that literally I will never go back, and I really want health inspection to come check, that there was a cockroach on the table where we were sitting and on the floors. And different bugs were crawling. It made me think if there infestation back in the kitchen. Definitely not recommended to check this place out at all. This isn't once this has been multiple times. I can certainly understand the appeal of Bistro B with it's giant menu of authentic dishes. Maybe that is where I went off track...I ordered Chinese food rather than Vietnamese. I was feeling poorly following a two-week trip to Africa, and I was looking for Chicken Congee, which led to my DoorDash order from Bistro B. I added an order of Crab Rangoon. The Congee was perfect in texture and consistency, with plenty of white meat chicken, however it was on the salty side and had a ridiculous amount of fresh ginger that completely overwhelmed the flavor. The Crab Rangoon also had tons of ginger, which absolutely ruined the dish for me. Instead of settling my travel weary stomach, the ginger overload left me feeling even more oogey. I will likely try again when I'm feeling better, but stick to Vietnamese specialties and request "no ginger" if possible. read more
