If you're looking for a late-night place to eat, this is definitely the spot! We really like the egg noodles here, and the other Vietnamese dishes are good too. The place is beautifully decorated with lots of lights, creating a fun and cozy atmosphere. Good service as well--you just need to give them a call! Highly recommended for a late-night Vietnamese fix!
Solid banh mis, I think most of their options include cooked meats so they are heavier than I prefer. Same goes for the spring rolls--very flavorful but so heavy.
Don't expect exceptional service at any traditional casual Vietnamese restaurants. The focus is the food because that's basically all you're getting. Bistro B has always been super well known in the Vietnamese community. Growing up, every time I would come-I would get the basic pho and spring rolls. I haven't been since 2017 that I've gone and now I have a friend who's a super adventurous eater like me, so I got to choose around the menu. The menu blew me away because what place has a Vietnamese household's traumatic childhood staples like bittermelon soup?!? This entire meal was incredibly nostalgic and heart-felt for me especially since I haven't been back to Vietnam since COVID has happened. This is truly the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant that I have ever been to. Food ordered; - 707. Periwinkle in Spicy Tamarind Sauce (ỐC HƯƠNG SỐT ME): I have never seen a Vietnamese restaurant with snails before. I remember eating this all the time in the streets of Vietnam. The sauce and Vietnamese coriander were incredible along with the snail texture. - 23. Asian Crepe with Shrimp and Beef (BÁNH XÈO TÔM THỊT): It tasted like a solid definition of what Banh Xeo is supposed to be. The size of it though is insane to me. I've had Bánh Xèo at other restaurants-which are made to normal sizes, but this size is insane. Definitely ended up being leftovers. _ 119. Angel vermicelli served with grilled pork, and roast pork belly (BÁNH HỎI THỊT NƯỚNG VÀ HEO QUA): It tasted like how it is supposed to take. Definitely great dish as well. Portion size is also huge as well, so leftovers as well. Drink order: 413. ARTICHOKE BOM - NƯỚC MÁT (Artichoke Drink, Jelly, Basil Seed): I often get artichoke tea, so I was super excited to show my friend who has never had this before. It was way too sweet for us, but adding water into it definitely made it better. BTW, he ordered the durian smoothie which also tasted good, but it was less naturally tasteful than other places. Overall, this is the best authentic Vietnamese food I've had in a very long time. If you're an adventurous eater, I would definitely recommend trying something different other than spring rolls, pho, fried rice, or chow mein. Everything is super acquired though, but I truly do recommend if you're opened to it. ALSO, this has also been the best service I've ever had at a Vietnamese place. You don't come in ever expecting service. However, the lady who took care of us brought us new fresh plates for our new dish which shocked us especially as servers from an upscale restaurant. Water did take a while to refill, but the change of new plates blew us away. Thus, the food, service, and the super authentic and nostalgic ambiance definitely was an amazing experience. We are definitely coming back for more snails and other dishes!!
I went here for a work event and ordered a sandwich and some egg rolls, a bowl of Pho, and finished it off with some avocado boba. Overall this was a good experience! This restaurant is very reasonably priced and you get so much food. The broth was flavorful, the egg rolls and pork belly sandwich were delicious and crispy, and all the toppings on the table made it easy to elevate your plate with the flavors you like. The ambiance was nice, but nothing social. Our waiter was attentive and we all got our orders quickly and correctly. Overall a good restaurant. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if there was gathering here, or I needed cheap, good food... then this is the place.
Bistro B!! I LOVE YOU!! The pork eggrolls are hands down the best eggrolls I've ever had in Texas!! Not only are they delicious - but the PRICE ($0.50 cents per eggroll), FOR THE QUALITY!?!??!?!?! UNBEATABLE. I came and grabbed a box for a family get together and they were such a hit!! Also - the customer service was great and the decor was so cute and classic!! 100000000/10 HIGHLY recommend!!
Our experience at Bistro B was wonderful. The service stood out immediately--our waitress was friendly, attentive, and always smiling. The menu is huge, almost overwhelming if it's your first visit. They have American fusion breakfast served all day, they have pho, Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, and Korean dishes. The food portions were generous, and everything we ordered tasted delicious. We ordered #33, #66, #76, #128, #209, #211, #519, We also tried three drinks, all of which exceeded our expectations. The hot Thai green tea, even without boba, had a rich, creamy flavor that was excellent. The regular Thai tea with boba was perfectly prepared, and the avocado mango smoothie with jelly was thick, flavorful, and refreshing. Overall, almost every dish was delicious, just slightly sweeter than I expected. If the chef could reduce the sweetness in the dishes (drinks excluded), our experience would be completely perfect.
The fact Bistro B is only rated a 3.5/5 is unfortunate. I'm honestly so upset I haven't heard of this place before now, but am very grateful to be in the know because I will definitely be a regular (so long as the issues I've seen in some of the reviews has been permanently resolved). The inside of the restaurant is really spacious & beyond what you order to eat, there are additional grocery items and other knickknacks for purchase that you can enjoy. There's large windows running around the perimeter of the building, so you can see into infinity and beyond...as far as the parking lot and nearby stores go lol. Since it's close to the Lunar New Year there's extra decor they've placed both indoor and outdoor, which is really cool to see. When it comes to food, they have an extensive selection to choose from. I really enjoy that they have a lot of photos to reference in their menu, especially for people like me that like to get an idea of what I'm ordering. During this visit I ordered their salmon vermicelli dish (Ca Hoi Nuong) , pork belly spring rolls & their Nem Chua Heo aka "vampire meat" I found over in their grocery area. Everything was made fresh to order & absolutely delicious. The vermicelli dish is quite huge portion wise, so come hungry or plan to have leftovers. The spring rolls were to die for. I've never had pork belly spring rolls and just loved the crunch from the skin bits they added in there, the moistness and rich flavor of the meat, chewiness of the rice paper & really well made peanut sauce. I'm so tempted to drive back over there just for those. The nem chua was also good, but just good lol. It's very similar to salami in taste if you've never had it before, but has a slight sweetness to it. I must warn that it is on the spicier side once you eat it as intended with the garlic & chili on top so have a drink ready. Overall I think this was the best $30 I've spent in a while. I can't wait to come back.
To me this restaurant is an experience and I love the ambience. The Curry Shrimp is a little spicy but not too spicy. The quail appetizer was spiced so well it was one of the best things I had eaten there. Very little wait time for a sit. Fast customer service
Man, we were really looking forward to tonight's dinner... We were not expecting our food to be served as quickly as it was! Unfortunately, that didn't help, it seemed like everything was pre-made & served lukewarm. Their General Tso chicken was hard, as if it had been cooked earlier that day and just sauced & served when we ordered it. For some reason my kid ordered pho, and it was not served until we were 1/2 way done eating. The egg rolls we ordered were not fresh... overall this was not a pleasant experience. This will likely be our last time we eat here. Hopefully we can still pick up their egg rolls and be happy with them.
#72 and Bo Kho (beef stew) with glass noodles instead of egg noodles were both excellent!! Served piping hot with super fresh ingredients. I eat a LOT of Vietnamese stew and this is as good as it gets, in the metroplex. Food was 5 star. The menu is extensive, largest Vietnamese menu I've ever seen. The plates and bowls were noticeably higher quality. Service from our waitress seriously lacked, only saw her when we ordered. Another waiter actually gave us good service by topping off of water and bringing an extra bowl. We were the only table in sight without a lazy susan of condiments (soy sauce, fish sauce and sriracha). Waitress never returned to check and I never saw her to flag her down. I had to flag down a different waiter to get the check and pay. One star deduction and my tip should've gone to the other waiters who helped us. Ambiance is trendy Asian, bright, busy and LOUD. Warning to those with sensory issues. My elderly mom with dementia was overwhelmed with the environment. Busy and loud are expected when a place stays packed because the food is crazy good. I highly recommend.
DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE! I way to go back now! My phone hit the spot! Fresh and powerful flavors! Great vibe and good music while I waited for my order. See you soon!

A lot of Vietnamese people trash on this place for now being truly authentic. Honestly, this place still makes Vietnamese food decently good. They have a huge menu with tons of options and are open late at night. My family usually eats here when we come back late from a road trip. We were able to get seated immediately despite the place being packed at 10 pm. We ordered the pepper steak, salt and pepper squid, cá kho tộ (salmon), canh chua ca, and curry shrimp. I really liked the beef and squid, tons of flavor and tender. Each dish has a ton of vegetables sautéed to perfection. This isn't exactly a place where I'd take my friends for Vietnamese food but it gets the job done for those late night eats. read more

Been here a few times trying different items and everytime it's worser . They do have an extensive menu which scared me cause they won't focus on a specific dishes . The rice dishes I ordered was pretty and hard to swallow down and I could finish it . Everytime was a big disappointment here. read more

Visiting and staying with my best friend in Dallas for a few days. We were in the mood for Asian food and he quickly (not to mention very strongly) suggested we make a stop for that kinda grub here. During our drive, he warned us that the menu can and will be overwhelming - they literally have hundreds of items on their menu. "No doubt you'll find a few things..." he says. He wasn't kidding: HUNDREDS. And hundreds. AND HUNDREDS!!! He was right: I got a little bit overwhelmed. I took a long time to decide, and when I did, I ended up with 7 items. JUST FOR ME. That was just ridiculous, so I had to start the elimination process (which was soooooo hard to do!!!) (And I felt bad that it took our server a third stop before we finally made up our minds! But she was so cool about it!) MINI-CRISPY SHRIMP PANCAKES: It was either this or the Banh Xeo, but I figure this is easier to share. Good crisp on the outside. Soft chew on the inside. These were some crispy savory goodness! Paired with vege and dip delish. We all enjoyed this! EGG ROLLS: This was a bargain at 3pcs for less than 2 bucks. It was fried a little too done for me, but great, flavor wise. The veggies and dip elevated the flavor some. Yum. EGG LOAF, SHREDDED PORK, FRIED SHRIMP TOFU, EGG SAUSAGE, 5 SPICE CHICKEN, SUNNY EGG: I forgot what it's # was on the menu, but it was the "5 spice" part that locked me in. Here's the breakdown: chicken was flavored great, but it was a little dry. Egg loaf was soft and moist, as was the shrimp tofu. Shredded pork was like the chicken, seasoned well but also a little dry. Sausage was okay, and the sunny side up egg added texture to each bite. (I had bits of it with each bite of protein.) Way too much food for one person, they are generous. There's plenty for two! Green tea smoothie was refreshing. Perfect sugar level. I got to taste their pho broth which had plenty of depth. And the drunken noodles?! *Insert chef's kiss here!* FOOD: 3.5. SERVICE: 5. All levels of staff, soooo nice and friendly! VALUE: 5. You get WAAAAYY more than your money's worth!!! PARKING: Shared with many spots. NOT AN ISSUE. OVERALL: 4.5. It's pretty popular during their lunch rush. Plenty of people coming through and most tables were occupied the whole time we were there. TIP: Buy 2, get 1 free banh mi's! Take advantage of it! But fantastic first run! On my radar now for the next time I come through town! It's really good to have friends who know good eats! read more

Atmosphere: - Bustling and loud, which isn't a bad thing depending on your mood (haha). There are a ton of bright decorations, basically flagging you down to eat there if you're in the area. Overall, a pretty unique looking restaurant. Service: - Service was decent; I think it was so busy that waiters and hosts were just walking back and forth without any real assignments. There might be an order to things, but I wasn't really sure who my actual waiter was + when they would come back to take our orders, etc. Food/Drinks: - The Pho was okay. The most important part of Pho is the soup, which didn't really have too much depth. If anything, it might have been overly salty or packed with MSG, as many places do. I would recommend not getting the chicken Pho though, as it was quite woody and had the texture of a rubber band. - The Bahn-Mi wasn't bad. Although, I think the seasoning on the pork belly was spotty and not fully covered. I would occasionally get a super salty bit and then one with no seasoning at all. The pickled vegetables were nice and the bread was crispy though! Price: - Great prices, it was very value-centric. They have a couple deals on the Pho and Bahn-Mi, like buy 2, get one free - and even then the individual items were pretty cheap to begin with. read more

I got the curry chicken with basil leaf for dinner and I quite enjoyed it. I felt like it could've had a bit more seasoning, but that was the only feedback on this dish. I was running a bit behind and the workers were so helpful and communicated with me to make sure I was still on the way. Their portions are amazing as you can see and this can feed you for three meals. read more

Bistro B has always provided a large variety of foods to get, which is a great reason to come if people are craving a lot of different types of food. The menu seems to have expanded more than the last time I came 1-2 years ago. It took a good 10-20 minutes to get seated and have our order taken on a Sunday afternoon but it was pretty busy. Our water came even later, which was a little suprising. Once we ordered, the food came relatively quickly one at a time after that. We opted to the grilled pork and shrimp sausage spring rolls, which were delicious! The meats were still warm from the grill and the sauce was warm as well. One of the best places to get these spring rolls, and I would definitely get then again. We got the hu tieu and they use a dried salt mixture as the seasoning instead of the sauce I was expecting. There was lots of good seafood and other various meats in the combination one that we got. I just wish it had the sauce that I am used to. It was still good but not my favorite. The water spinach was good. A good vegetable to get if you are craving it or want vegetables. The sticky rice with chinese sausage and pork was probably the most disappointing dish we got. The rice had a heavily coconut flavor, which was a little too much for our liking. The meats on top were all good but we ended up not finishing this dish because we did not enjoy the rice. Overall, Bistro B remains a decent choice for vietnamese cuisine and other asian cuisine as they have such an extensive menu. I wouldn't say the food is always the best quality but I think everything is decent and there are probably some items that are really good! Haven't been back in years, but I was recently hearing about how quality was back up. This is a very popular spot for Pho. We got started with the shrimp spring roll and pork belly spring roll. I really enjoyed the crispyness of the pork belly option. The combination meat pho was good, but the quality of the meat seems...questionable. The tripe had a bit of an off flavor to it. Some meat had an off discoloration to it. Pho was a 4 out of 10. The pork vermicelli was very flavorful, and I really enjoyed it. When checking out I of course had to get the sweet deal of 3 pork egg rolls for a dollar fifty. Hard to beat the buy 2 get 1 free pho, but this may be the last time we visit for another good while. The menu is massive, and while they offer a lot to eat, nothing stood out and wowed me. If you want options galore that sacrifices a bit on quality in doing so, then this is the spot. read more
Mid. Bistro B isn't super impressive but I appreciate that they have a large variety of Vietnamese foods. I was invited here with a large party. There were 8 of us and we all got pretty much different dishes. I got their Big Tex Pho (#34) which I actually thought was pretty good. It had beef and beef meat balls in it. The meat was okay but their meat balls were pretty good. The broth was nice and wasn't super oily like some pho places. I just didn't like that they didn't get me any lemon and I had to ask and I didn't get some of the greens that normally came with it. Good but not the best. The rest of my party thought their food was okay. The com tam was okay but was presented very nice. Some of the items tasted weird in it. The person who got their hu tieu didn't like it. Their portions are larger here than any Vietnamese place I have been to. I also like that they had pretty much all types of Vietnamese food here. Oh and they had lots of specials like buy 2 get 1 free. The service was excellent. They were friendly and we got our food fairly quick. I also like that the restaurant is pretty large with a bunch of places to sit and eat. They even had outdoor seating as well. read more
What can I say. This place has so many options and their menu even got bigger with breakfast options. Whether you dine in or take out, they have a little bit of everything for everybody. Everytime I have a get together or event I always place big egg rolls orders and you get it in a timely matter. The service is quick and there's not usually a wait. It's a bit warm in there with their open concept. The decor is kinda Vietnamese/ Americanized. It's almost like modern with culture feel, might be a bit much. Overall the food tastes good, service is quick and they open late which is a plus. I would give it a 4.5. read more

I always love coming here for the delicious food and beautiful decorations! We got pork spring rolls as an appetizer, pho, and broken rice. The prices are super affordable and portions are huge! Menu is extensive and they also serve many Vietnamese drinks. They have a buy two get one promo on the beef noodle soup too! We got some complimentary oranges at the end because of Lunar New Year. read more
The menu here is like the Cheesecake Factory of Vietnamese dishes! The place has every Viet/Asian dish you could think of-- phở, bánh mì, vermicelli noodles, udon noodles, fried noodles, stir fry, rice dishes, Vietnamese breakfast, meat entrees, stone pot meals, hot pot, boba, chè (sweet dessert), etc. Some Viet dishes I cannot easily find anywhere else in Dallas. And the best thing about all of this is that their prices and all-time deals (e.g., Buy 3 Get 1 Free Banh Mi) are unbeatable :) The portions are huge so I always come home with leftovers! One time I ordered a chicken curry for about $13 and they were able to give me a giant bowl of curry with a fresh pot of rice almost the size of a rice cooker. I've come back many times and have tried lots of dishes but my favorites have to be their spring rolls, phở, bánh mì, and bánh hỏi. My favorite waiter here is Danh! Danh tries to help me out every time he sees that I've come by, even if I'm received by another waiter. He is the sweetest person and always goes out of his way to help others or make people smile & feel appreciated! He remembers people's names and makes sure to say hi every time! Bistro B is THE place to go! If you're in Dallas, you must make your way over to this Vietnamese restaurant. It's worth the drive, no matter how far. I visited Bistro B at around 11 p.m. on a Thursday with two other guests. The restaurant was quite bustling. Because the restaurant closed in an hour, we had to place a to-go order, but we were permitted to dine in. However, we ended up taking our food to go. I order the #202, stir fry tofu with mixed vegetables, which came with white rice. I paid about $12 and received so much food! The entire meal was so tasty. The tofu was so tender and melted in my mouth. One of my fellow guests ordered the vegetable pho and paid about $14. She received so much food, like enough to feed at least 3 people. The Bistro B menu is so extensive. There's something for everyone, from phos to sandwiches. And everything is reasonably priced. The restaurant also has a HUGE drink menu, featuring tea, boba, and smoothies. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so charming. Even though we didn't dine in, we enjoyed the fun light fixtures and decor. I will definitely be visiting Bistro B again. The staff were so friendly and I'd love to visit again when I have more time to enjoy it all. read more

Extensive menu and open late. So many things on the menu that looks delicious that I couldn't decide. Ordered the banh xeo, egg rolls, spring rolls, and the che to go. The banh xeo was ginormous and was placed in a big foil pan. They even provided plenty of fixings. Lots of filling but the crepe tasted overcooked and hard. Ordered the Che 4 Mua, and it really satisfied my sweet tooth craving. It had the perfect mixture of bean and jelly. The egg rolls are now 3/$1.25. Have eaten inside many times. Great spot for a late night meal as they're open til midnight. HUGE menu, lots of Vietnamese and Chinese dishes. We ordered the nem nuong grilled pork spring rolls that came with a really good red meat dipping sauce, the shrimp cups, and a bowl of pho with steak and meat balls. The meatballs were probably the best I've had, and ive tried pho from all over Los Angeles and San Jose. The broth was great too, a little on the sweeter side. Their coffee yogurt drink was interesting, kinda strange but kinda good, and the watermelon lychee was very artificial tasting but still refreshing. Would recommend! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the decorations, all decked out in Christmas lights and a beautiful tree. The service was prompt, we were seated right away. And I understand why, their menu is extensive 400+ items. I looked over every single item and they all looked delicious and I wanted everything. I got #110, and I wasn't disappointed, the Korean short rib was seasoned well, not too chewy, and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. I can go on but the picture speaks for itself. We also ordered the Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs, seasoned to the bone, crispy. THIS IS A MUST GET, the onion in the dish was delightful & this coming from someone who doesn't eat onion. Now let's get into the reason we came. The infamous Phó. When I tell you the bowls are packed to the rim with a flavorful, bright broth, warming to the body and what better time to have than on a brisk afternoon. The meats were sliced thin, cooked in the broth. I want to say this is probably one of the best Phó I've had coming from Cali. The customer service was just like the food Great. The pho was good, they were fast bringing the order, and it was buy 2 get 1 free, and the coffee was good had coffee jelly and ice cream. I especially like the pho broth here, and the way they have many options of sauses and additions to the soup you can add. I would recommend this place. read more

Is this good for a group dinner of 50 to 100?
They have several tables, but they're round in the middle for 10. and along the sides are long booths for 6. So you can't all sit together. And you'll prob take up the whole restaurant. It's all one dining area and no separate party rooms.
