I usually draw the assumption that service is fast, since those guys are always eating and running. So I decided on the corned beef hash. Its kinda a go-to breakfast for me at diners/cafes. We stopped for breakfast after hearing good things about this place. We were not disappointed. I had the Greek avocado toast which came with basted eggs. It's very hard to get basted eggs done just right. The eggs were PERFECT and the avocado toast was very tasty. My BF had a southwest scramble which he enjoyed as well. The coffee was good. We were looking for breakfast other than the normal options available to us in our state. I came across Biscuits cafe. We drove the 16 miles to get here. (Later I found one, one mile away from were we where staying....) We arrived and asked for a table over a booth. My brother, our father and I. Ordered drinks and our food. Customer service was prompt. Not sure why there was some bad reviews. Food was delicious. At this location there are plenty of employees walking around to grab someone's attention. If something is needed. I listened as our waitress interacted with another Customer and was giving her options for coffee from the espresso bar. Loved the location. A nice lady (had her arm in a sling) pulled me out of a line and helped me on a side register to get the line moving along. Which was very nice of her. We will be back. read more

Took my mom here today so she could have lunch with the ladies she used to work with many moons ago. Biscuits is awesome.. Let me start off by saying everyone is accepted here! Work eat or play! They had great service from their waiter. Everyone enjoyed their food as well. One gal had the pancakes no butter and she really liked them. Another gal had an omlet customized no problem with half of the ingredients in it, and my mom had a gluten free English muffin topped with Eggs Benedict. They were done perfectly. She is from the 50s and wasn't thrilled paying $13 for that alone, but I warned her of the pricing before she left for her adventure. She was expecting larger portions even on the pancakes as I had showed her photos. Their plates were not as endowed, but everyone was full and still enjoyed their meals. Mom needs a good time with friends and yummy food once in while she doesn't have to cook! These ladies aren't easy to please so all of them enjoying is a big complement. Spent about three hours here and most of it was waiting for average food that takes 20 -30 min to make at best. The bread was so crispy on the BLT that it disintegrated as soon as I bit down and it was crumbs and lettuce etc. my mouth has cuts in it because of eating my food. Ouch. The servers are nice but our server was taking our order and cut us off to talk to someone at the booth next to us about what she recommended or didn't. The server asked us when we sat down if the hostess told us that the wait for food is 45-60 minutes and we said no. She looked stressed kept saying they were under staffed and gave us a complimentary cinnamon role, which was good. Food was mediocre. Went to pay up front and the cashier didn't even acknowledge us and just held his hand out for payment. Maybe... this just my week for great food. We got to the Peoria Biscuit Cafe store at 8am and they were busy. Everyone there was very pleasant except our server, Jennifer, who was extremally irritating. Listening to her talk was like scraping your fingernails down a chalk board. I hate when they ask, What are WE going to have this morning? One of our party didn't have a table set-up and we motioned for the server to come to the table, but she was too busy talking to her co-worker and waved us off. The menu was typical of breakfast-lunch only restaurants. I didn't see anything that one might consider a signature item. I have a thing with Chicken-fried-chicken and theirs was just average. In fact, all of the food at our table consisted of very large portions of not very tasty foods. The two large biscuits were not made there, but frozen. You would think that biscuits being their name sake they would be baked off fresh every morning, instead they not warm, they were dry with just a thimble of butter or dairy blend served on the side. I could only get a half of one down they were so stale. By the way the server told us the biscuits were not made on premise but came into the restaurant from a commissary frozen. I would except that from McDonalds, not from a restaurant with Biscuits in their name. Old Jennifer didn't clear one plate off the table until we started to stack them up for her. I don't think I would go out of my way to come back. There are so many places to go for breakfast these days... I just expected something a little better than Denny's. We use to really like this place because of their bright atmosphere, good service, extensive menu and good food. They have since dramatically cut their menu, especially the lunch options. They removed all of our favorites. Very disappointing. Will definitely not go back for a while. Management, we understand needing to make cuts during this inflationary period, but be cautious as cuts have often caused restaurants to lose of business. Let me know when you improve your menu closer to what it use to include. read more

Tried this place for the first time and it was okay. We started out with a Bloody Mary and fell in love with the bacon garnish! It was slightly sweet but peppery and we ended up ordering a second one just to get more bacon! The celery was extremely old however and completely inedible. I had the Greek Avocado Toast and I enjoyed it. The basted eggs that came with it were way over done however. Hubby had the Biscuit and Gravy combo and although he was happy with the eggs and bacon he was disappointed in the biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was extremely small and the gravy was flavorless.
