We came on a Sunday around 12:00 p.m., right in the middle of the brunch rush. The wait was about 30 minutes for an indoor table or about 15 minutes if you were willing to sit outside. The patio is shaded and they have very powerful misters, which made the Arizona heat much more comfortable. I did notice that a few of the tables toward the edge of the patio were wet from the misting system, though. The restaurant was extremely busy, so the service was on the slower side. The staff was friendly and working hard, but it definitely felt like they could use a few more people during peak brunch hours. The menu is fantastic. There are so many great options that I honestly had a hard time deciding what to order. I chose the red chicken chilaquiles. The tortilla chips had a great texture, but by the time they reached the table they had absorbed almost all of the sauce. I'm not sure if that's just their style of chilaquiles or if my plate had been sitting in the kitchen for a bit. The red sauce itself was good, but it tasted more tomato-forward than the traditional red chile flavor I usually expect from chilaquiles. The matcha was to sweet and creamy: not of my liking. It didn't taste like matcha. The matcha pancakes were good. The atmosphere is definitely part of the experience. They had a DJ playing music, giving the restaurant more of a fun nightclub vibe than a typical breakfast spot. It was unexpected, but I actually enjoyed it. They also have an impressive Bloody Mary bar with lots of toppings and garnishes. The only thing that gave me pause was that the topping containers are open and located right by the entrance, which made me wonder how much dust or debris they might be exposed to throughout the day. One thing to be aware of is that there was an additional service charge added to the bill, which may be related to paying with a credit card. The manager was very nice and attentive. The server was ok and the hostess could be more friendly. Parking lot is limited Overall, Hash Kitchen is a fun brunch spot with a lively atmosphere, a menu full of tempting choices, and food I'd happily come back to try again. The wait staff seems too mellow to have gotten there without perhaps a little gardening, but the food is amazing. Their quesabirria hash is solid but when we go, we love to share a stack of the matcha pancakes with extra strawberries and then get our proteins on the side: 2 over-medium eggs for me and two over hard for my dining companion plus share a side of bacon. This way, we aren't in a carb coma the rest of the day but get to indulge in their rare treats! We also love the recent Ube Blueberry ones. You can't go wrong with the juices either. By far the absolute worst experience. We came here to celebrate my bday for brunch with my entire family. I made a reservation 4 weeks in advance for 20 ppl. When we got there 10 min early we checked in and were told most of our party has to be there to be seated. Cool no problem. The resy was for11. Everyone got there at 11. I let them know and they say they're editing for some other big group to get up. We're waiting we keep checking it's now 11:40...what is the point of a reservation ?! find another area and stop relying on one group. So I find the manager and let him know and he seats us within 5 min...why it was so hard for the two hostess to make this happen is far beyond me...anyways we sit. We get our food.....THERES HAIR....LONG STRANDS folded in THREE of our meals. Mine was one of them. I let the server know and she sends it back. She was super sweet. The manager comes out and not once does an apology come out of his mouth. The fact that not One of our meals but THREE??? Seems intentional to me. The fact that an apology or nothing more was done is beyond me. Other than taking it off my tab which duh I'm not paying for that. We went on a Sunday afternoon and we were able to find a couple of seats at the bar area fairly quickly so that was nice! I was pleasantly surprised by the new updates to the menu that I had not seen in previous visits and really enjoyed both the Paisa Bowl and S'mores pancakes. Loved the vibe. Art on the walls is unique. Liked the DJ vibe. The music was at a nice volume so we could still chat. We both had biscuits and gravy. The portion was pretty big and we took a bunch home. Nice and creamy. A little less peppery than I'm used to but I just added some black pepper and it was nice. Biscuits were buttery, flaky, and delicious. We also got the cannoli donuts and they were delicious too but a good portion with 3 full size donuts. Hubby and I had our anniversary brunch here about 2 weeks ago and we absolutely loved it. We went on a Monday and I thought that it wouldn't be busy. Yeah, I was wrong about that lol. It was decently packed and we waited about 5 minutes before getting seated. Definitely not bad by any means. I would imagine this place being crazy busy on weekends. Our entrees came out super fast, hot, and fresh. I was really impressed by this and their generous portions. Hubby was able to finish his while I took half of mine home for a meal later in the day. I was also expecting to spend a small fortune for this outing but it turned out to be really affordable. You can dine here on a budget; you just need to do some careful planning ahead of time. This is a clubby, energetic ambiance - even during weekdays. I remember reading older reviews with complaints about it, especially over weekends being super loud and uncomfortable. If you want a quieter, slower paced experience - visit during the week. If you want a more energetic experience or don't mind it, then weekends will be a great fit. Stopped in to enjoy a birthday meal, which was a bit of a challenge to get the birthday coupon honored but they figured it out. My meal was delicious however the surface was a little bit slow. However, the incredible taste of the food and the friendliness of the service team overcame that. You have to understand and accept the vibe here at Hash before you go. It's fun and trendy which means loud and pricey. Buuuut, the food is delicious, the menu creative and the service, on point. A fun place for a weekend brunch with friends but not so much if you just want to eat your food without the over the top LOUD music and everyone in the entire restaurant yelling to be heard over it. I go here on occasion by myself (during the work week when it's a little more chill) for the "Art Mollen Scrambler" or their Chilaquiles. Both INSANELY delicious and almost always cooked to perfection. The eggs were overcooked and thus had a sulfuric taste on my last visit and sadly, the Chilaquiles are 80% corn chips and only on the tip of the corn chip iceberg rests the good stuff. They've definitely mastered the art of illusion (see attached photos). Beautiful presentation, excellent depths of flavor with the chicken tinga, crema and pickled vegetables. It seems our family gets both a hot & cold experience dinning here, but also in Hash Kitchens in general. We stopped recently for breakfast and found the service is still m'eh at best. Though... our food to be pretty decent. See photos. Our server got lost, for long, long stretches of time and forgot requests for water refills, hot sauce and additional plates, et cetera. OR... Was greeted promptly and with enthusiasm. Good start. Asked to sit at the bar and was obliged. Bartender was wonderful and provided great attentiveness to my needs through out my dining experience. I ordered a Large Tomato Juice at the heavy price of $5.25... ouch!! Ordered some coffee too at $3.75... Coffee was pretty tasty, but no flavored creamers. I think for the price, flavored creamers are in order . For food I ordered the Americano Omelet with a short stack of pancakes. Let's talk Omelet... With someone in the kitchen that called themself "Chef Joey" one would expect some special attention to every dish that comes out of the kitchen... Was not my opinion or experience of this omelet. Eggs were very dry and flat. Ingredients were not well distributed or blended... looked like the eggs were cooked in a small skillet and then the ingredients were dumped in prior to plating. Was not impressive and the taste was nothing to boast about (pic below). I also ordered a short stack... Wish I would have went to iHop. The pancakes look as if they are made with almond flour or something like that?? A little different. No butter and a tiny amount of syrup. Just kind of "meh".... First time at this location & was not disappointed. I ordered Christine's Tamale Cakes Benedict and it was fantastic. Eggs perfectly poached and the corn tamale was super tasty. All the flavors were perfectly balanced. My wife got the Basic AF and it was also cooked to perfection. We took some leftovers home since the portions are big. Ian was our server and did a great job. Went for breakfast yesterday with an out of town guest, upon arrival at 10:30 was told it would be 10-15 minute wait time which is very reasonable on a Sunday morning. After 30 minutes I asked if they forgot about me and was told there was just one more small party ahead of me. Finally 15 minutes later we were seated. Lemon ricotta pancakes were so-so, I've had better but everyone's tastes are different, only one tiny cup of syrup was with the huge order of pancakes. Had to wait for utensils. Manager did come by to ask if everything was okay, he said he would provide further training for the employees who do the seating. I ordered an ice tea with lemon, not sure which was bad the tea or lemon but it tasted gross. I opted with water instead. I have been to Hash before but this was my first time at this location. We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday there were 8 of us. It was easy to join the waitlist, and for a little tip scan the barcode for $1. Mimosas. First of all, I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles were good. The chicken patty wasn't very good and the leeks they toasted or something which ended up being very plastic like and I choked on them. Pulled it out of my mouth and it felt like the plastic band the grocery store bundles vegetables up with. That's what I thought it was at first. It literally felt like chewing on a plastic shoelace or something Waitress actually told me the leeks were probably overcooked and looked too thin. I couldn't even eat it with the leeks on it. I sent it back and ordered the Banana Split BriocheFrench Toast. That was very good. Didn't even have to use syrup. It wasn't that busy it was Thursday morning at about 11 o'clock I had a big problem with the waitress. She was always over there standing by the bar talking to two other couple obviously, she knew them and didn't spend enough time coming over to my table.
