Hi all Been here a couple times, 1st visit wasn't so good. I ordered the veggie omelette w/potatoes. Huge Gob of cream cheese in the middle, not even melted and the potatoes were greasy as heck! Hubby had a ham and cheese omelette and wasn't pleased either. It was overcooked and the potatoes gave him terrible acid reflux afterwards ‍ 2nd visit was better. I was with a GF and ordered the avocado toast, cup of soup and side of fruit (I was hungry). Chicken tortilla Soup had great flavor and I used the avocado toast for dunking. My partner has been wanting to try biscuit cafe for awhile now so we decided to stop in after running errands last Sunday. Surprisingly we were seated immediately (brunch is always busy in PHX!) and for a window table. Our server swung by immediately and let us know she would be right with us. I saw that cinnamon roll go by and KNEW I had to have one.. I heard a server say to "86" the cinnamon rolls and immediately got sad. Well our awesome server ran back there and grabbed one of the last ones for me! It was delicious! And HUGE it's definitely for two people. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was really tasty! You get a lot of food for the price. The biscuits and Jam were the stars though! That Jam is just too damn good. I'll definitely buy some next time! Plus our mimosas were cheap! Busy busy morning....we were told that they are averaging 30-45 minutes before the food is ready.....it was a holiday so no worries. I just was afraid of the service we would get when they are backed up....NOT AN ISSUE our server was right on it, not only was she efficient but she always had a smile! Fantastic service she also apologized and reiterated that they are running 30+ minutes for food. The wait didn't seem that long TBH I had the eggs Benedict with avocado, bacon, tomato and hollandaise on the side and it was amazing, the potatoes I paid a little more for the deluxe which basically I think had cheese, sour cream and chives and my only complaint was that it was just okay I think the cheese baked in it made it mushy like a potato casserole (hey I'm not complaining) but probably wouldn't order that again. My parents enjoyed their meal especially my step-father he had an enormous waffle and the biggest thickest slice of ham I've seen. My partner had am omelette and a side of fruit all looked amazing. So disappointing. Utterly disappointing. We chose Biscuits as the kick-off for a friend's birthday brunch. The service was fine. At first. We ordered a champagne flight to share. And then the food arrived. First let me say that any more I just shy away from having breakfast out because it's just a ripoff. Which is too bad because I love breakfast! We ordered a benedict, a basic breakfast, and the corned beef hash. The food came out at staggered times. Let me say that the "biscuits" at "Biscuits" are pretty good - the strawberry coulée that accompanies them is out-of-the-world good. They will also bring, by request, other jams and jellies which simply don't compare to the strawberry. With that said, the rest of the meal was average. The hash was simply long shreds of corned beef. I ate the eggs and hash browns (which were great) and left the shreds of corned beef because I didn't want shreds of corned beef. I wanted hash. Weird that the server didn't notice, until I pointed it out, that one half of my plate was eaten and the second half (which was a pile of aforementioned "shredded corned beef" was left, uneaten. "Oh, that's our hash," she explained. "But that's not hash," I countered, and then tried to explain what hash is (which is a mixture of different vegetables, diced potatoes, and some sort of meat- often roast beef or corned beef, chopped together and then cooked in a skillet until the bottom becomes crusty and crispy. When made correctly, it's super delicious). Please, if your kitchen doesn't know what a dish is, maybe don't serve it. As I sometimes do, I'm happy to make this one-time offer to come and show you all how to make hash! (And no, you don't need to use a "can" of hash to make hash). There is a trick to it, but I'm happy to share that with your kitchen! Or, maybe just take it off the menu. I ordered stuffed french toast, it's not stuffed, it's kike a french toast sandwich with strawberry cream cheese filling which I never tasted because of the overpowering taste or cinnamon/nutmeg in the french toast. Strawberries weren't fresh either, very soggy My eggs were on point and my bacon was burnt . I only ate the eggs. Never got offered a refill on my coffee, took almost the entire meal for him to finally get refill on iced tea. Server didn't say anything about me not eating my food nor asked if we liked it. Be careful what you order, portions are substantial, I noticed almost everyone taking the excess food home while we were there. Food is "good ole American fare" and done well! Coffee is palatable (not crap!) and when you ask for sunny side up eggs, you get exactly that! Staff is friendly (and appear to be a bit short staffed but it didn't hinder them at all in timely service or repeat visits to see if we needed more coffee, etc.) and efficient. I would normally give a five star review but there was a really loud customer there that was obviously a frequent diner (they welcomed him by name) and he just wouldn't shut up, LOL! They need to learn to take him all the way to the back to be seated, imho. Otherwise this review would have been 5 stars. And I get it, they should welcome him as a frequent customer, but knowing he is so loud (probably needs hearing aids from personal experience), they could ask him to tone it down a notch or two. Rick had the ham and eggs Benedict with hash browns which he ordered crispy. What he was served were burned hash browns. My avocado Benedict left much to be desired. This is my second trip to Biscuits Cafe, 2 locations both very similar. Both Poor at best. Don't go here. Biscuits taste like fresh from the freezer, they even have that hexagonal shape. I had the Meat lovers omelet, it was stuffed full of meat, well, bacon jerky, tough sausage with that pre-frozen favor, and ham. There was a square slice of some nondescript cheese food on top of an over cooked omelet, chewy! I have been coming here for years, and never had an issue. I came yesterday, around 10:45am and asked the host(White) if we could get a booth and don't mind waiting. He said alright, three other customers came in after me and my spouse. The 2 man that came in colored as I am, 10 mins after. Then 2 white women came in 10 minutes after, and the host had sat them down right away at booth without even considering that we have been already waiting 20 mins to be seated for something that already was open and available and arrived before all of them, but then again the 2 men were waiting just like us. The women that were again white, got seated right away in something we asked. Nothing to the 2 White Women, My Wife is White. They weren't the ones working. We asked the host why haven't we been seated down, he smirked rudely and said "sorry, I forgot and didn't realize". We had just walked out, and spent money elsewhere, I recommend Breakfast club... that's where we went when we did not feel valued. We tried grabbing brunch at a haymaker down the street but they had a two hour wait, so called ahead to Biscuits and asked how long the wait was and they let us know it was only 30 minutes. When we arrived we were thrown off because there wasn't a single parking spot available and had to park across the street. However, we were quickly seated with a party of 5 which was amazing and our server immediately greeted us with a smile. She was so quick and accommodating our entire meal and the food was very tasty. This place is packed on a Sunday which is always good news. We were quoted 30 minutes but sat within 5 which was awesome! Quick and friendly service and a good variety of options to choose from. Their drink menu is surprisingly diverse considering it's diner style. The food was good but nothing out of the ordinary. They have a great option of items you can order by piece if you wanted which is great if your not hungry for a whole plate of food! I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was good but the waffle was pretty dry and I had to ask for butter. Their bloody Mary's have AMAZING carmelized bacon that you can add, I highly suggest it and I would recommend to the business to offer a side of this bacon for purchase. Ashley was our server today and she was the nicest waitress I have ever met. She made my little girl feel special after her kindergarten graduation today. She was extremely attentive and kind. She even brought my two young children tootsie pops. But the best part was when I ordered biscuits and gravy with strawberries on the side for myself and my two kids.. She sent my order in in a way where I saved the most money.. she thought of me and my kiddos and went out of her way to give me the best deal possible and that was the nicest thing any waitress has ever done for me. The plusses are it is new, everyone is extremely nice, place is clean and crisp. Good menu selection. Even though the parking lot was packed and only a couple of spots were vacant we were seated as soon as we entered. This place is arranged to seat a lot of people. Made our selections and it was not long before our food arrived. Everything was hot and exactly as ordered. Now for the minuses. Cost of the meal. They have a sign that says this isn't fast food but fresh food as fast as possible and neither stand true. $70 for a burger, onion rings a chicken sandwich and fries, two teas and one Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary garnish was good with the candied bacon, couldn't taste the vodka at all. Tea tasted like water. We ordered our meal with our drinks at the 35 minute mark asked to check on the food were told we are next. 20 minutes later it arrived. The cheese on the burger wasn't melted and was only luke warm as was the same with the chicken. Neither has salt or pepper and thus no flavor. Onion rings were good. When our waitress brought the iPad over to pay she said click one of the three buttons which was 18%, 20% or 22% she didn't show the custom tip option leading all their older customers to think those are the only options. Needless to say she didn't get one of those percentages. I'm all about tipping at a high value when the waitress is nice and there's empathy if the food or service is not going well. She had none of that. They're clearly short staffed in the front house and in the kitchen. I've been there before for breakfast and enjoyed it but I won't be going back.
