We were greeted promptly when we visited Biscuits Cafe for the first time this morning, and served fairly efficiently at first. After our entrees were served, it took awhile to get coffee refills and we weren't asked by our server, Kenzie, how we liked our meals (my over medium eggs were underdone with the whites still wet and runny in parts, in case you're wondering). We ordered an entree to go for a friend, and asked for the gravy on the side. The order came out with the gravy on the entree anyways. We also weren't told that asking for extra gravy cost $2, so that was an unpleasant surprise when we received the bill (and no apology for not mentioning it came from our server). read more

Worst service of any restaurant in Gresham. It's a shame because It used to be pretty decent, but last couple years, it has gone drastically downhill. Service and food quality way down while prices have shot up. Wait staff is slow, food preparation is slow. Food is mediocre at best. The bus people are friendly and on the spot, but they are the only bright spot in the place now. I tried stopping for breakfast twice recently and ended up walking out before they even took my order because the wait was so long--and they were NOT that busy. Training must be non-existent. They seem to have no idea that you serve people in the order they come in. The last (and it will be the final) time I tried to stop, I asked the man who was seating people (and he had asked me how many for my table, like he was going to seat me), how long it was taking to get orders out because I had limited time before I had to be somewhere. He flippantly replied, "I don't know. I just got here." Then he walked off. Nothing like, let me check, or how much time do you have, or anything. Just walks off. I really wanted to like this place- I love a good biscuit! The decor was cute and spacious. The eggs were over cooked, the hash browns were burnt ( and no seasonings!) Most disappointing item was the biscuit- it was dense and did not have any layers that I expect on a food biscuit. read more

Food was alright. Heard this place was a chain but was close to home. Sausage gravy was really good though. The buttermilk pancakes are super fluffy and dense. The only complaint was 4+ bucks for a large juice that wasn't really that large read more

This is the worst breakfast I EVER had terrible service food was terrible my pancakes were hard that didn't fill my coffee and my water don't go here. This is a review my 10 year old gave while we were still there. He just told me he did this, pretty much nailed it. Bad atmosphere, mediocre food, surprised they could mess up a pancake. Just horrible. This used to be one of our family favorites, but this is 3 strikes in a row. Wrote to the company after the last fiasco. We arrived...waited in line for 15 minutes because 40% of the place was dirty tables. Lots of wait staff, they didn't look short handed at all. Got seated, and waited 45 minutes only to have our waitress tell us the item one of us wanted wasn't available. So I substituted a Florentine benedict, and it was awful. I've never had a Florentine with completely raw spinach before. My companion's waffle was completely cold, so the butter just sat on top. We were so hungry by then we ate most of it anyway. Overcharged and brought to waitress' attention. She said "I'm sorry I can't take this off your bill the system won't let me" WHAT!!!!! Paid the overcharge and vow never to return to this restaurant. Biscuits were light and had a great flavor especially with the great marionberry jam! The short stack was big enough to share and their pancakes were fluffy and tasted awesome. Gravy on the biscuits had a good flavor with a touch of herbs that made it unique. Great service and were quickly seated. We are here on vacation, and will return. read more

My partner and I have been coming to this biscuits for breakfast for a little over a year now. And the only reason why we come back is to see our favorite server Ali (Alyssa) because she makes the long ticket times bare able. Which she wasn't working this visit. We both ordered crispy hash browns, two eggs over easy, and bacon. First we waited 45min for breakfast food. There were about 10 tables total in the place and the majority of them already had their food. Our hash browns were still wet, our eggs were over hard, and our bacon was burnt to a crisp. Never got our water refills. Or asked how everything was. I'm going to be that person, but I am a server at a breakfast bar and so I get it when it's busy and things take a little longer and customer service isn't 5 star... but it wasn't even busy. Sad to say we will not be coming back because this isn't the first time food took so long and service wasn't up to par minus when Alyssa is working. This is my first review on Yelp. I asked for a comment card or email address to give feedback and was told they don't have either. I have eaten here many times and do not have an issue with the food. It is the service I have a problem with. I like to give constructive criticism in private and praise in public but in this case I seem to have no choice. In reading the other reviews I can see that the managers do not seem to be paying attention to what is being said. This is probably a worthless endeavor but here it goes: I know this place is very busy on the weekends so we made our order to go. We waited 20 minutes to get there. When I walked in the door I could see the order was done as they have an open kitchen about 25 ft from the register. I waited my turn and paid for my food. There was one person in line behind me and the cashier helped them right away...no big deal. The problem is more customers kept leaving so it is a never-ending line. I stood and watched two hostesses seat other customers and THEN stand and CHAT with each other. They were only concerned with getting people seated. They literally have NO room to wait. It was aggravating for me to see my food and aggravating for others to come in and out because there is no place to sit and wait. I said something to the cashier after staring at my box for 10 minutes and she said she "couldn't leave the register". OK! Tell the hostess to take 30 seconds to hand me a box. I finally had to stop the hostess and ask her myself. You would think they would want "to go" orders in and out as fast as possible. When I worked in restaurants we preferred orders to go... you get the revenue without utilizing table space and can increase sales. So please....get some awareness, tell your employees to not chit chat in public, buy a chair and store "to go orders" in the bun warmer so it does not taunt people trapped in your lobby. read more

Fabulous service and good food. Menu has a large selection to choose from. Our first visit was in November 2016 when we experienced an unexpected car repair at a nearby Toyota dealer. They recommended Biscuits Cafe while determined the cause of the problem. Since then, we make a point to stop for breakfast or lunch on our travels to and from PDX. The noise is low and the service is fast. Plenty of parking for the disabled. Highly recommend this place if you're close by. read more

The portion sizes are extremely generous. Food is great and their coffee is really good.

My family and I came to eat here for the second time this morning. The hostess seated us and walked away. Came back 5 minutes later with 2 waters (there was 3 of us) and walked away. Then about 5 minutes later she comes back with the 3rd water and asked if we wanted anything else to drink. My boyfriend ordered and Arnold Palmer, I got an orange juice, and my son an apple juice. She came back with only my boyfriend's drink and walked away.... 10 minutes later she comes back and says "oh, you wanted an apple juice" I said back to her "and an orange juice".... no one has come to take our order after sitting there for almost 20 minutes. The lady next to us finally walked out after waiting about 15 minutes AFTER she said she was ready to order and no one came. We FINALLY received our drinks and my boyfriend asked if someone was going to take our order, she replied yes in a couple minutes. We got up and walked out. Horrible service! I loved this place. The service was great, and the wait staff was attentive and very funny. I ordered the special Boysenberry hazelnut French toast, and it was awesome goodness, along with scrambled eggs and great chicken-apple sausage. I loved every bite. The prices are reasonable, and the menu is full of great choices. My 2 companions loved it also. This was our first time here. I was hesitant to recommend it because of all the less than stellar reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. My experience was wonderful, yummy, and satisfying! I will definitely be back, even though it's miles from where I live. read more

They were busy, yes but We were never even offered water, after 15 minutes sitting with menus closed no one came to the table to take our order. Other people who had come in after us were served. I had ask my sever if the ham a steak potion and she said yes but it was a thin slice of lunch meat. Stellar service! That's the good. Now the food. Really? I came here for biscuits and gravy. Maybe I have high standards. The gravy had little flavor except tasting like flour. The biscuits were too dense and had little flavor. The sausage patties were bland and lifeless. Is there such thing as beef sausage patties? This is what I imagine they would taste like. I have visited Biscuits with my son three times in the last month or so. The food and coffee are consistently great, and the biscuits specifically are delicious. They seem to always be busy but I've never had a hard time finding a parking spot. The thing that really stands out though, is the service. The owners have been present each time I've been there, and I noticed that they take the time to check in and chat with each table. They are aware of what's going on with their business and ensure customers are satisfied. The wait staff is friendly, professional and quick, and the restaurant seems to always be well-staffed. My experiences have all been positive, and I think it's because the owners care about their customers and their community. read more

This Bisquits sucks, horrible staff in all areas, the food has become gross. They at one time was good but that was over two years ago. And when you complain about your order, they do nothing! We no longer go there but we do drive by at different times and that place has one or two customers, not busy like they were two years ago. I don't know how they're staying open but when the money is gone so will the restaurant! I hope it's soon before someone becomes violently ill because of there nasty food. The only good thing about this place is their bread. They have amazing, thick slices of bread. Their coffee is okay. Service is absolutely terrible! There is one waitress who tries her best, but they are always so understaffed that she still can't ever seem to get to us in a reasonable time frame. Every other server we have had has either been rude or just short and cold. One time we were even told that she had too many other tables so she was going to drop our ticket off before our food so she didn't have to come back! I have always had to ask for coffee refills and some of their servers act like it's a chore to do their job! As a server myself, I feel bad for the servers there that try so hard to do well but can't because of how understaffed they are. But also as a server, I am amazed by the lack of caring of most of the other servers. Their seating area is just one big cafeteria-style room so good luck having a private conversation. On weekends you can barely even hear the person across from you! I was really excited when a new breakfast chain opened in the Gresham area but this is by far the worst breakfast restaurant I have ever been to! So disappointed! read more

The service was so awful the last 2 times there, the whole reason I am now a YEP user so i can warn you of this bad restraunt. Tried 4 different menu options all but the red patatoe, scrambled eggs and sour dough toast with turkey bacon was good (otherwise-BAD FOOD). They served everyone pork bacon in stead of turkey bacon this time. Of cource we didn't and would not eat eat but instead of throwing it away I wanted to give it to my dog, they refused to let us have it even though it was THEIR MISTAKE!! They said they would have to charge us if we kept it as opposed to them tgrowing it away, it was there mistake!!!. By the time are turkey bacon came we were done with breakfast, we gAve that to the dog. We are convinced the pork bacon was given to the next guest even though all 3 of us touched it and put it on the table. There wasn't anyone working there over age 23, we wonder why they CAN'T KEEP STAFF. We will NEVER go back!!! One star for ok coffee and tea. Service was just ok, considering she was a kid of age 20, yrs yes I asked. I advised the hostess to avoid putting her fingers on the rim of out drinking glass, water doesn't come with a straw, she was doing register and beverages without hand washing inbetween. These young people would do good to have superior and role models from experienced servers, I wish them the best. Biscuit Cafe is also above average cost for a simple breakfast. read more

We've been to the Biscuits Cafe Gresham location a few times over the four years we've lived in Wood Village. My wife and I love breakfast food and enjoy going out with our son when we can on the weekends. Biscuits is close by and the food is really good, but the reason we don't go more often is strictly because of the service. We've been maybe four times and only had good service once. Our last experience we waited about five minutes to be sat in a half full restaurant while the male host at the front was busy ringing up and talking with customers that were paying. We finally were sat because we flagged down a busser to take us to a table. We waited from that point about ten minutes for our waitress to come over who we saw maybe twice in the dinning area servicing other tables. She took our order in less than twenty seconds and walked off. We ended up ordering our drinks, drink refills, extras such as salsa and sour cream from the host that periodically came by to refill coffees and check on customers. Our server literally dropped our plates on the table barely saying a thing and took off again. She came back a minute or so later to drop the check before any of us had even tasted the food. We saw her kick the busser off the cash register by saying "can you just go find something else to do" so she could ring up her customers. We really like the food, just don't have the patience for poor service. My wife and I return to places that we seem appreciated at. Not saying we'd never go back, it just isn't a place we frequent. read more
