Dont get the chilaquiles... very soggy, not much flavor, and the eggs are not what I expected on a classic chilaquiles... I have had better. The birria tacos were pretty good tho. Meat was very moist and loved the taco consistency, and the sauce that came with it was really yummy too. Not my favorite place for classic Mexican food. read more

Hands down the best service & best cheese tacos + consome in whole the state! We've visited the burien location a few times and this location is definitely 10x the size of the burien one. We got greeted by the owner and since it was our first time in that location, he showed us the entire menu & went over the ones that are the best sellers. Truly an amazing experience! He was very friendly and very informative. So are the rest of the restaurant staff Highly recommend! read more

The food was straight up bussin!! So so good, would definitely recommend. The only negative I found was there needs to be more staff. There was only one lady working the whole floor and she was amazing, but the service was lacking and we waited a while. It was worth it!! read more

This restaurant is a bright spot for Everett for both the food and dining experience. It's one of my favorite places to get Mexican food and as the restaurant name denotes, they specialize in birrieria dishes. From the tacos to the "pizza" (think of a giant quesadilla filled with birrieria cut into pizza sized slices) and the consommé! All of the offerings I've tried have not disappointed my family or I. We will definitely patron this establishment when in the mood for these dishes. read more

Food was sooo good and amazing portions. We were greeted right away and sat down accordingly. Giving a low rating due to service. We only saw her briefly when she took our order. After our food arrived we never saw her again... not once did she or anyone check up on us. Not sure if understaffed tonight but coming back out to eat after the shutdown was kinda disappointed in how we were treated. Had to go to the front desk to ask for box after waiting for someone to just acknowledge us.. again after another wait had to go up front to ask for our check since we never saw our waiter or really anyone asking if we needed our check or even more water.... Poor customer service not sure why and disappointed read more

First time at this spot! Been wanting to check it out for awhile. I ordered 2 carnitas cheese tacos and my boyfriend ordered the steak quesadilla and 2 steak cheese taco. The order started had chips and salsa for starters and the nice waitress provided cucumbers and a little bit of veggies. Everything was delicious and savory and soooo good! The only reason I give this place 4 stars is because at one point while we're dining and waiting for our food, there was this loud, sharp, mosquito noise playing over the speakers. It was pretty distracting and annoying after awhile. I politely asked the waitress if we could get our to-go boxes and to pay the bill so we could leave. Eventually it stopped. But whoa it lasted a little too long. I do really recommend this place tho! Or even if you order take out! Please try!! read more

This place is incredible! A hidden gem that Everett is lucky to have. I've tried several things on their menu, all have been yummy. Try the Birria Pizza if you're feeling crazy (and hungry)! OH MY LORD! This place has some of the best tacos I've ever had in my life. The cheese tacos extra crispy with the consome to dip the tacos in were to die for. Followed by a fresh cantaloupe water to wash it all down. Highly recommend, they have tons of seating! No bar with alcohol yet but you don't really need it to enjoy the food and the ambiance of the restaurant. The server Isabella was so helpful choosing what to eat, when to eat it and was very informative on the entire menu. I appreciated that the most being a newbie at the restaurant. Wow!! I've been wanting to try birria tacos for a while now, and after seeing a food account I follow on Instagram post about this place I had to go! Maria greeted us and sat us right away, she helped us decide what to get, and she was so sweet and friendly the whole time! The food is absolutely incredible and the portions are amazing; you'll want take out boxes at the end! Be sure to try the cheese tacos and the consume is obviously a must! All of the safety precautions were also being followed perfectly and I felt very comfortable dining in! We will definitely be back! read more

Love this place! We always go here when in the area! It is so big and beautifully decorated on the inside. The house made drinks are so good especially the mango, or the passion fruit. I came to this place after seeing some hype on tiktok. Covid is hard, so I imagine that like all places the experience is different. However the gentleman at the front taking orders was super sweet and explained the items on the menu. I ordered the birria cheese tacos and consomé after he mentioned it was one of the more popular dishes. Well let me tell you heck yes!! Hit the spot and it was delicious. Not too oily and a lot of flavor. The tacos were nice and crispy with the right amount of cheese. Will definitely be going back! read more

One of my new favorite finds of 2020! A bit of a drive for me, but always worth it since I just order multiple dishes. I usually get 2 of the cheesy tacos (birria tacos), a consome, and then a chicken burrito. The burrito is MASSIVE and enough for two meals. As in the birria and consome I eat for lunch, half the burrito for dinner, then the other half for lunch the next day. The birria is always juicy and filled to the brim with meat and gooey cheese. Even if its closer to room temperature by the time I get home (its half an hour away), its still flavorful and delicious. I always dip it in the consome and then drink the consome with some rice sometimes, or grab some tortillas I have at home and dip it. The burrito is giant and filled with tons of meat, rice, beans, and amazing seasoning. Absolutely no complaints. I haven't tried other proteins yet, so I might get steak next time, but I'm addicted to the chicken right now. read more

I'm an Arizona native and used to live off all the different 24/7 'bertos taco shops (Filiberto's, Roberto's, Juliobertos, etc) and have been on a mission to find Mexican food that would get more than just a passing grade in the SW. It almost seemed impossible to find anything pleasing north of SFO as a SW native until I started finding better options outside of Seattle proper, and Birrieria Tijuana is one of them. They don't have the same late hours though since they close at 9. Their menu confused me the first time in because I saw "cheese taco" on the menu and wondered if it was more like a cheese crisp. They offer tacos without cheese or tacos with cheese... it's like the difference between ordering a hamburger vs a cheeseburger. So get the cheese tacos if you want a taco with beef and cheese. They are absurdly delicious. They also have keto tacos on the menu which I found interesting but haven't tried yet. The portions per taco were surprising and incredibly filling. They have a diverse menu I'll have to take my time eating through, but I am very happy this place opened up in Everett. read more

Tried this place three times now; and I just had to leave a review. Get the cheese tacos (that's what they call them - but it's meat and cheese), and also get the consommé to dip it in! You'll be in taco-heaven. Not the regular taco-kinda-heaven, but the birria-taco kinda heaven! Traditionally, in Mexico (Jalisco) birria is slow-cooked shredded meat made from goat or lamb, and the consommé is goat-based broth - but this place might've been all beef. And, no points lost for that. Grab the taco from your to-go container (don't wait too long or they could start to get soggy), dip it in the consomme and pop it in your mouth - the ooey/gooeyness of the cheese, the birria meat oozing with flavor, the texture of the tortilla and the wetness of the consomme - that's birria taco heaven! I tried the crunchy birria taco (which had two outer taco shells) and preferred the cheese taco over this one, but my son enjoyed this almost the same as the cheese tacos. We also got the chicken burrito to balance out the red meat - and it was flavorful, and HUGE - packed with rice and meat! The tortilla is not your run-of-the-mill flour-lard-water mixture... it had a bit of an interesting texture to it - and did I mention it was HUGE - so much so I had 1/2 for dinner, and the other 1/2 for breakfast the following day. The roasted onions and peppers serve as an awesome side to the burritos and tacos - the sweetness of the onions balancing out the spicy peppers. Finally, we also got the quesabirria which is a generous sized quesadilla with the birria meat and cheese... and equally dippable in the consommé. Everything here is so good; had I not tried the cheese tacos - this and the chicken burrito would've kept me coming back. Do dip the quesadilla in the consomme - although it's not traditional, but who cares! It's a 25 minute drive from my place to get here, but I know my family will be back for more - often. Plus, I think this is likely to become a popular stop over whenever we head north from Seattle on roadtrips - over towards Mukilteo, Bellingham, Anacortes, Vancouver etc. PS: the restaurant is a bit dark - and we've only done to-go due to covid; but the first time we were there, and wanted to try the dipping tacos before they got too soggy - they were kind enough to let us use the standing tables in the 'bar area' to hang out and eat our "to-go" tacos. The lady at the register also let me son have a free cucumber drink (they have large vats by the cash register) - and it was delicious! read more

The service has been getting bad lately. Servers are running around because they are short staffed! The Last 3 times my server has either forgotten about me or handed off my order to someone else and they forgot. This last visit which was today I placed my order and had to wait 40 minutes. I told my server (male) and he said "they haven't brought your food out yet" even though it's his table and my order should be his responsibility. Birrieria Tijuana has some of the best tacos I've ever eaten! They are seriously on another level. I love their "cheese" tacos, which actually come with a generous portion of Birria (beef). You have to get the consume or your experience will not be complete. So far I've tried the cheese tacos, and the crunchy tacos. Both were excellent. The tacos here are HUGE, so if you normally eat 4 tacos, then you should order 2-3, as they are a lot bigger than your typical tacos. Always get the consume, it makes for the perfect taco experience! read more

Probably the BEST authentic mexican food ive had in WA. my brother wanted to take me out to eat and showed me this place. A friend of mine highly recommended this place. Their specialty is birria, and for those who have never had it. Birria is basically a spicy, flavorful meat stew made out of lamb, beef or goat. Their food portions are huge. We ordered a birria bowl, the birria ramen and the duro tacos and it was plenty of food for two. They server complimentary chips covered in refried beans and queso fresco. They also serve agua fresca. No alcohol. read more

My recent experience with Birrieria Tijuana was amazing! Last time I ordered from them was in December 2020, and I got 2 Birria Consomes and 4 Cheese Tacos, 2 Quesadilla plates, and a Mangonada. Their service is really fast, I ordered the list of food above and they were ready within 15 minutes. I must say, the Cheese Tacos paired nicely with the Consome -- so flavorful! Plus their size could feed more than 4 people with how many I got! The Quesadilla plate was also very good, my family still craves their rice and beans. This is my first Mangonada, and it is a good size to share with someone and the flavors compliment each other nicely (sweet, tangy, and sour). The place also takes COVID-19 seriously, they changed their restaurant layout and had guidelines for people waiting for takeouts, which made me feel safe when ordering. 100% would recommend! read more

The food was mind blowing. But it took forever. Like my Apple Watch told me to get up off my lazy butt before we got our food. That's sayin somethin... But other then that it was amazing. Prawns the size of bratwursts. Steaks, roasts, different fish. They skip most of the stuff that supermarkets carry and focus only on more-specialty stuff. Their stock is either a nicer version or it's something that's unavailable elsewhere. You do pay for quality like this on some of the stuff, but if you're cooking a meal you're really looking forward to, the value makes it reasonable. Not everything is expensive, either. They had fresh lemons on the case for 40% less than the supermarket up the street. They had reds, whites, bubblies, and pinks in the wine section with every bottle under $20. And those fish dips, man. I'm surprised they don't sell out by afternoon every day. We had wild salmon and black cod dips before dinner last night, and both were fantastic. They're very well balanced, so maybe you could add hot sauce or fresh herbs to taste, but we've had them several times and never felt compelled to tune them up. Every time I visit, I pick up a fruit or vegetable that I haven't tried before. Today it was a small Korean melon with bright yellow skin. The guys who work the fish counter are personable and knowledgeable. The man who helped us made a good suggestion for the type of fish to use in a soup, and didn't grumble when, near closing, he had to start up the equipment to cut it for us. The parking lot can be busy but I just choose to park farther away from the door. Also, try to go during an off hour--the veggie section (and the store in general) can get crowded. I suggest stopping by the deli section at the front of the store to see what treats are available. Last time I tried a tasty steamed cake wrapped in banana leaf. Another tip is to jump on specials as soon as you see them. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up an entire pack of oxtails for 1.99 a pound. I went back a few days later and they were gone. I still bought oxtails, for up to $2.00 less a pound than other stores. Lastly, double check the expiration dates on prepackaged foods. Every once and a while you'll find one that is past it's prime.

They also have the capacity for catering with product, prices, and serving pan sizes posted on the wall. The Homie ordered the loco moco with overeasy eggs, plus their standard cheeseburger. He was pretty happy with the outcome. Consistent to his previous experience, but also took note of the quality and reasonable cost for the cheeseburger. I opted for the laulau plate which came with the requisite two scoops steamed rice and one scoop mac (Hawaiian style macaroni salad) with a sizeable laulau. I unwrapped the outer ti leaves and cut into the taro leaves (steamed like spinach) to reveal succulent pork and tender butterfish inside. This was great with a little added shoyu. Spot on delicious! The ice water also hit the spot. Perfectly chilled without any aftertaste from a pitcher. None of that tepid water in a stoppered top glass bottle or carafe. Refreshing! Overall satisfying meal at a reasonable price.
