Dont get the chilaquiles... very soggy, not much flavor, and the eggs are not what I expected on a classic chilaquiles... I have had better. The birria tacos were pretty good tho. Food was sooo good and amazing portions. We were greeted right away and sat down accordingly. Giving a low rating due to service. We only saw her briefly when she took our order. After our food arrived we never saw her again... not once did she or anyone check up on us. Not sure if understaffed tonight but coming back out to eat after the shutdown was kinda disappointed in how we were treated. Had to go to the front desk to ask for box after waiting for someone to just acknowledge us.. again after another wait had to go up front to ask for our check since we never saw our waiter or really anyone asking if we needed our check or even more water.... First time at this spot! Been wanting to check it out for awhile. I ordered 2 carnitas cheese tacos and my boyfriend ordered the steak quesadilla and 2 steak cheese taco. The order started had chips and salsa for starters and the nice waitress provided cucumbers and a little bit of veggies. Everything was delicious and savory and soooo good! The only reason I give this place 4 stars is because at one point while we're dining and waiting for our food, there was this loud, sharp, mosquito noise playing over the speakers. It was pretty distracting and annoying after awhile. I politely asked the waitress if we could get our to-go boxes and to pay the bill so we could leave. Eventually it stopped. OH MY LORD! This place has some of the best tacos I've ever had in my life. The cheese tacos extra crispy with the consome to dip the tacos in were to die for. Followed by a fresh cantaloupe water to wash it all down. Highly recommend, they have tons of seating! No bar with alcohol yet but you don't really need it to enjoy the food and the ambiance of the restaurant. The server Isabella was so helpful choosing what to eat, when to eat it and was very informative on the entire menu. I appreciated that the most being a newbie at the restaurant. Maria greeted us and sat us right away, she helped us decide what to get, and she was so sweet and friendly the whole time! The food is absolutely incredible and the portions are amazing; you'll want take out boxes at the end! Be sure to try the cheese tacos and the consume is obviously a must! It's one of my favorite places to get Mexican food and as the restaurant name denotes, they specialize in birrieria dishes. One of my new favorite finds of 2020! A bit of a drive for me, but always worth it since I just order multiple dishes. I usually get 2 of the cheesy tacos (birria tacos), a consome, and then a chicken burrito. The burrito is MASSIVE and enough for two meals. As in the birria and consome I eat for lunch, half the burrito for dinner, then the other half for lunch the next day. The birria is always juicy and filled to the brim with meat and gooey cheese. Even if its closer to room temperature by the time I get home (its half an hour away), its still flavorful and delicious. I always dip it in the consome and then drink the consome with some rice sometimes, or grab some tortillas I have at home and dip it. The burrito is giant and filled with tons of meat, rice, beans, and amazing seasoning. Absolutely no complaints. I haven't tried other proteins yet, so I might get steak next time, but I'm addicted to the chicken right now. read more

I'm an Arizona native and used to live off all the different 24/7 'bertos taco shops (Filiberto's, Roberto's, Juliobertos, etc) and have been on a mission to find Mexican food that would get more than just a passing grade in the SW. It almost seemed impossible to find anything pleasing north of SFO as a SW native until I started finding better options outside of Seattle proper, and Birrieria Tijuana is one of them. They don't have the same late hours though since they close at 9. Their menu confused me the first time in because I saw "cheese taco" on the menu and wondered if it was more like a cheese crisp. They offer tacos without cheese or tacos with cheese... it's like the difference between ordering a hamburger vs a cheeseburger. So get the cheese tacos if you want a taco with beef and cheese. They are absurdly delicious. They also have keto tacos on the menu which I found interesting but haven't tried yet. The portions per taco were surprising and incredibly filling. They have a diverse menu I'll have to take my time eating through, but I am very happy this place opened up in Everett. read more

Tried this place three times now; and I just had to leave a review. Get the cheese tacos (that's what they call them - but it's meat and cheese), and also get the consommé to dip it in! You'll be in taco-heaven. Not the regular taco-kinda-heaven, but the birria-taco kinda heaven! Traditionally, in Mexico (Jalisco) birria is slow-cooked shredded meat made from goat or lamb, and the consommé is goat-based broth - but this place might've been all beef. And, no points lost for that. Grab the taco from your to-go container (don't wait too long or they could start to get soggy), dip it in the consomme and pop it in your mouth - the ooey/gooeyness of the cheese, the birria meat oozing with flavor, the texture of the tortilla and the wetness of the consomme - that's birria taco heaven! I tried the crunchy birria taco (which had two outer taco shells) and preferred the cheese taco over this one, but my son enjoyed this almost the same as the cheese tacos. We also got the chicken burrito to balance out the red meat - and it was flavorful, and HUGE - packed with rice and meat! The tortilla is not your run-of-the-mill flour-lard-water mixture... it had a bit of an interesting texture to it - and did I mention it was HUGE - so much so I had 1/2 for dinner, and the other 1/2 for breakfast the following day. The roasted onions and peppers serve as an awesome side to the burritos and tacos - the sweetness of the onions balancing out the spicy peppers. Finally, we also got the quesabirria which is a generous sized quesadilla with the birria meat and cheese... and equally dippable in the consommé. Everything here is so good; had I not tried the cheese tacos - this and the chicken burrito would've kept me coming back. Do dip the quesadilla in the consomme - although it's not traditional, but who cares! It's a 25 minute drive from my place to get here, but I know my family will be back for more - often. Plus, I think this is likely to become a popular stop over whenever we head north from Seattle on roadtrips - over towards Mukilteo, Bellingham, Anacortes, Vancouver etc. PS: the restaurant is a bit dark - and we've only done to-go due to covid; but the first time we were there, and wanted to try the dipping tacos before they got too soggy - they were kind enough to let us use the standing tables in the 'bar area' to hang out and eat our "to-go" tacos. The lady at the register also let me son have a free cucumber drink (they have large vats by the cash register) - and it was delicious! read more

You have to get the consume or your experience will not be complete. So far I've tried the cheese tacos, and the crunchy tacos. Both were excellent. The tacos here are HUGE, so if you normally eat 4 tacos, then you should order 2-3, as they are a lot bigger than your typical tacos. A friend of mine highly recommended this place. Their specialty is birria, and for those who have never had it. Birria is basically a spicy, flavorful meat stew made out of lamb, beef or goat. Their food portions are huge. We ordered a birria bowl, the birria ramen and the duro tacos and it was plenty of food for two. My recent experience with Birrieria Tijuana was amazing! Last time I ordered from them was in December 2020, and I got 2 Birria Consomes and 4 Cheese Tacos, 2 Quesadilla plates, and a Mangonada. Their service is really fast, I ordered the list of food above and they were ready within 15 minutes. I must say, the Cheese Tacos paired nicely with the Consome -- so flavorful! Plus their size could feed more than 4 people with how many I got! The Quesadilla plate was also very good, my family still craves their rice and beans. This is my first Mangonada, and it is a good size to share with someone and the flavors compliment each other nicely (sweet, tangy, and sour). The place also takes COVID-19 seriously, they changed their restaurant layout and had guidelines for people waiting for takeouts, which made me feel safe when ordering. 100% would recommend! read more

Found them off Instagram decided to drive the 25 mins to Everett to try them out and let me tell you.... IT WAS SOOOO WORTH IT!!! I had ordered the cheese birrieria tacos with consommé . Those tacos are LOADED with cheese and meaty goodness! The portions are beyond awesome for the price. This place is very popular for take out when we had arrived we were quick to order but it did take a little longer than expected to get our food, however this was not a downside at all because the staff is amazing and kept us up to date on where our order was. They are doing their absolutely best and going over and beyond in customer service so I was content waiting. Will be going back for sure to try the carne asada fries ( not many places in WA have those) read more
