This market is farther than Evergreen Asian Market from where I live, but I prefer to stop here first for what I need. There is an amazing selection of meat, fish, and vegetables here. Every time I visit, I pick up a fruit or vegetable that I haven't tried before. Today it was a small Korean melon with bright yellow skin. The guys who work the fish counter are personable and knowledgeable. The man who helped us made a good suggestion for the type of fish to use in a soup, and didn't grumble when, near closing, he had to start up the equipment to cut it for us. The parking lot can be busy but I just choose to park farther away from the door. Also, try to go during an off hour--the veggie section (and the store in general) can get crowded. I suggest stopping by the deli section at the front of the store to see what treats are available. Last time I tried a tasty steamed cake wrapped in banana leaf. Another tip is to jump on specials as soon as you see them. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up an entire pack of oxtails for 1.99 a pound. I went back a few days later and they were gone. I still bought oxtails, for up to $2.00 less a pound than other stores. Lastly, double check the expiration dates on prepackaged foods. Every once and a while you'll find one that is past it's prime. read more

We moved here from CA so we were trying to look for a Vietnamese market to grab those essentials. They have fresh veggies, fruits and good selection of meat. I will say if you go on days that veggies seem a little wilted, I would suggest asking the lady that is always by the seafood section. She will go to the freezer in the back and get you your fresh produce. It will be hard to miss her as she is always there, checking up on everyone. She is literally the reason why I always come back, very kind, sweet and will help you pick the best veggies and fruit! Market seems a little tight but I would say there's always good food there! I have taken a look at this place for the very first time and it's very interesting to say at the least. Let's start with the good: The store is PACKED with South-Eastern Asian goodies unavailable in hmart. Prices as well appeared cheaper if not the same price. Also, this place sells organ meat of animals ans even bulat eggs. Even pork brains are available. I enjoy this variety. There is even a warm food section; foods appear to be made daily! Smelled delicious! Now the bad: The store obviously needs better care. Because it's quite compact, there's a lot of bad produce along with good produce. This place needs to resort. Vegetables are right next to frozen fishes. The sanitation is highly questionable here. Also, beware of food products you purchase. Many foods come with warnings mentioning eating a FOOD product may expose you to LEAD. I do not know much about the Cali 65 warnings, but this sounds very serious and a potential health hazard. read more

When I lived north of Seattle for my first year as a PNW resident, this was my go-to Vietnamese market. Do ask for the owner's help here if you're unsure of where to find your Asian goods; she literally thrives on helping every customer. Her name is Mama. And she will take CARE of you, like literally walk you down each aisle and grab you some of her best produce. It has a great selection, but can improve on lots of things. When you get into the store, it's very cramped. There's a couple of cashiers, and narrow isles. It is impossible to fit two carts side by side in one lane. It is also fully lit towards the back of the store, which makes it unaesthetically pleasing. It can be hard to navigate through the store. I went to this market yesterday and I was so disappoint at one of the cashiers at the market, her name was Vichary. She didn't even have a smile or said hi to the customers before she scanned all produces that I bought. At first, I thought she could not talk but when I saw the customer put a basket next to her then she told the customer to put the basket by the door so I knew that she could talk. Also, when she finished scan all the food that I bought, she didn't even tell me what was my total and she turned her back to me instead of telling me how much I had to pay. It was not only happen to me but I saw it happened to other customers too. The way she treated the customers was not professional and it didn't respect customers. I hope she would listen to my comments and changed the way she treated the customers. read more

My mom accidentally dropped the tongs used to grab hot food in the deli section on the ground. She gave it to one of the workers to get it replaced with a new one, but instead, I watched the worker quickly rinsed the tongs without using soap, dabbed the tongs in a raggedy sink towel laying on edge of the sink and then drying it with a paper towel before putting it back in the hot foods for use. Not only did that not clean the tongs, but pretty sure made it worse. I have half a mind to report this to the health department as its absolutely disgusting and total violation of health codes. read more

One of the first Vietnamese grocery stores in Everett, north of the international District. Atmosphere is a combo of Asian and Western which makes it a fun place to shop. Noisy with narrow isles; sometimes hard to find things but that is part of the charm of this shop. Wide variety of Southeast Asian foods and wares at fair prices. You can usually find what you want. The owner is quite friendly and is frequently heard barking orders or greeting folks in Vietnamese. If you ask, she will gladly help you find what you want. Prices are fine; variety is great. NO NO NO NO NO! PLEASE be aware that this establishment is violating several health codes! One BIGGGGGG mistake they made was leaving a piece of sharp glass in my Vietnamese sandwich! Had I not bit into the EXACT spot where my teeth felt the shard of glass it would have cut my throat and seriously injure me!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DISGUSTING! Never buy their fresh Spring rolls!! I found some dead little bugs in the peanut sauce. Not only one or two but more than I could handle so I had to throw the sauce away and just made my own. The store is very small, I would recommend using a basket and not using a cart. The aisle are very narrow and crowded. I can see the appeal to a lot of Asian households because there is a lot of selection but the store is so dirty. There were produce boxes of molded fruits and vegetables mixed in with fresh ones. Also, many of the produce aren't labeled and so it's a guessing game of what exactly it is if you're not familiar. read more

I warned my boyfriend about eating the non-refrigerated Vietnamese sandwiches from Pacific Market time and time again and he never listened to me until he got food poisoning with explosive diarrhea. Just like at H-Mart with the non-refrigerated California rolls. I'm not quite sure why there's so much confusion over the fact that cooked meat, mayo-based sauce, and cut veggies generally cannot be kept at room temperature for hours on end until some poor, clueless sap comes in and purchases said Vietnamese sandwich/California rolls. And when I washed all of the throw up and diarrhea covered clothes and sheets for my boyfriend, I accidentally put his brand new phone through the washing machine. So thanks a lot, Pacific Market. They get 2 stars instead of 1, though, because I searched high and low for some egg noodles (or maybe they were rice noodles, I can't remember anymore) for this bok choy dish I wanted to make and they were the only place that had them. read more

My family has been coming here for years and the owner who we call Mama is literally like our family now. This is the closest Vietnamese market to us up north and has every vegetable, meat, shelf or frozen items that we would probably find in the markets in the International District of Seattle. However, the quality of produce is pretty average. Deli food selection is small. This is by far the best Vietnamese market in Washington, everything from the warm customer service to the more hard to find herbs and vegetables. They have a parking lot shared with pho hung and east China wind restaurants. I have never really had a hard time getting a parking spot any time of the day. The market has a hidden gem of a deli, banh my loaded with all the salty vegetables and tasty meats and freshly baked bread from the local Vietnamese bakery for $2.99, after falling in love with these sandwiches in Ha Noi Vietnam I have to say this is the closest I have found to the real thing on the west coast. They also have steamed meat buns (hum bao/banh bao), fried bananas, bored pennants, banh quon, fresh che (tapioca dessert), bubble tea and so forth. All of these things are under $5 and amazing. They compete with evergreen market and each has its perks, PM has better produce, specifically yu choi and gai choi (so healthy and good with some garlic, ground pork and a but of fish sauce). Also they have the best herbs tia to, mint, cilantro, kinh goi. They also have really good cuts of pork. (Evergreen Market for fruit and beef). They have all your other main Asian staples and sauces. The staff here are so warm and helpful, especially phuong anh avg her mom (always in a cute pink hat). They know the regulars by name and always try to help you find what you need. For a snack or to get things to make dinner this is your place! read more

This is a great super market that has a TON of different kinds of Asian produces/ingredients! It's great for me to pick up some fresh vegetables and exotic spices. What's also cool about this place is that they also now serve hot food items and even some Chinese BBQ too (like Peking duck and barbecued pork). I've never really tried their Chinese BBQ or their Banh Mi sandwiches (that look really good and they are only ~$4 for a 6-inch sandwich), but I have tried some of their Vietnamese desserts and meats (they are these round pork rolls...really tasty!! Especially if it's warms!). This is a great market to stop by at if you are in need of Asian ingredients, but don't come here for seafood or meats!! I usually go somewhere else like H Mart or Ranch 99 because the seafood at Pacific Market is usually frozen and the meats don't look the cleanest. Pros: - Huge variety of different Asian ingredients...especially lots of Vietnamese food - Usually this is the only store that has the different fresh spices that I cook with - Easy parking since they have their own private lot Cons: - Aisles are pretty narrow within the store - Chinese BBQ looks old....I've never seen anyone ever order it....but maybe I'm wrong Why I gave it a 4..... Pacific Market has a great selection of fresh spices and herbs that you can't find at other stores. Love this store. I might seemed small and a little dirty/ run down at first but their vegetables are sooooo fresh and I can actually pick them out one by one to put in my bag!! ...ohhh....what???? Pretty much everything one needs for SE Asian cuisine can be found in this eclectic little funky market. You feel as if you've been transported to a market in Thailand or Vietnam when you walk in. Super clean? No. Crammed full of amazing food treasures? Heck yes. Wow, this place reminds me of small markets I have seen in YouTube videos in southeast asia.. narrow, overstocked aisles, copious amounts if stuff jamming freezers, fish on ice and aromas of unknown, ranging between fragrant to rancid, plus tons on tons of stuff that had dubiously-translated labels. My wife, who is Thai, likes to shop here. They have what we need. Thai basil (not always, but pretty much difficult to find anywhere), and Thai curry base. Also, all the other regular SE Asia stuff you would normally expect. Lots of fish. More fish and seafood than you can shake a stick at. They will also clean (most - depends on price I think) of the fish for you. The place is a bit dive-ish, if you are pick and like sparkly clean. It's an old skool Asian market. You often see African people seem to shop here buying seafood. They may even cook the fish for you? I'm not sure. Aisles are narrow. But you will find what you need. I didn't find the premade food too exciting. Parking is good and it is reasonably close to freeway. read more

I decided to add this business to yelp, because Pacific Market is my go-to place for Asian groceries that is within the area, and I thought this Vietnamese grocery store deserved more recognition. Pros & Cons: +Convenient location. +Cheap produce. +Wide selection of Asian goodies. -Prices are about 20 cents cheaper in Chinatown. Environment/Location: Pacific Market is located in a strip mall with two Vietnamese restaurants and has its own parking lot. Aisles are pretty narrow inside the store. I would not recommend a cart. Food/Grocery: Pacific Market is basically like Hau Hau Market in Seattle, but it is in Everett! Not only does Pacific Market have a wide array of spices, meats, and produce, but it's priced reasonably. This makes it super easy to get your Thai basil, chicken gizzards, etc. that would be way more expensive at your local American grocery store! They have some really great deals. For example, you can get a pack of 5 garlic bulbs for $1 and a pack of noodles is around $1.20 (Note: I have seen this same pack at Hau Hau Market for 20 cents cheaper.). Pacific Market packs a lot of items into their store. Don't be afraid to ask if they carry something, if you can't find it yourself. I was also able to find bubble tea powder mixes here. I paid $12 for a bag of coconut bubble tea mix. The price seemed a bit high, but I search for bubble tea on Amazon. On Amazon, bubble tea mixes go for about $30! No joke! The bubble tea mix that I got says it makes around 30 drinks, so it was definitely worth it especially since bubble tea is $4 a cup! They also prepare for hot food, too. I really want to try a Bahn Mi sandwich and eggrolls next time! Bottom Line: Although prices on some items are 20 cents more than Hau Hau Market in Seattle, buying from Pacific Market is definitely worth it to save you the drive to Seattle! read more

I was debating if I want to give this place 3 or 4 stars but I decided to give it 4 because for the most part the workers are nice and it does carry all the things for good prices for the typical Asian household. After reading some reviews I do have to say my experiences have been rather different. Yes, mama (the owner) is very nice and I love that. I so wish the isles were not so narrow. Cannot fit two carts in an isle so I usually park my cart at the end of the isle so I won't have to wait on other customers to go down an isle. I usually love to try different things from Asian grocery store delis but this one is a little limited. I've had the BBQ pork banh mi, dry and barely any meat, humbao is ok. I really appreciate and love that there are Asian stores where I could buy things that you would never find at the average American grocer. Most of the time I do go, they have a limited meat selection and always seem to be low in quantity as well. I wish they had tongs in each bin for their herb section. Knowing that so many people probably dig through it with their hands just disgusts me. They don't always have fresh herbs, produce or vegetables. Although this store has almost everything I need I don't like coming here for these reasons. So that is why I would have given it 3 stars. read more
