Pollo Milanese, note that it was cooked in a pan, seasoned and tasted so good. Gemelli Genovese was very good!

Went to New York last weekend for an Event at Peloton studios. No plan for where to eat afterwards, we did a quick check on Yelp and found this place. No reservation, but they were not busy that early about 5PM. By the time we left the place was almost full. The Service, Food and Ambiance were all great. So happy we found this place. If we are ever back that way, we will return. A gentleman did come out from the Kitchen to talk to the table next to us, they clearly knew each other, but his demeanor was kind and genuine towards the couple.

04/25/23: Another great dine. Arrived around 6:45 pretty crowded but we had reservations and was seated immediately. Ordered pretty much the same items as previous visit only different was todays scallops special. Tasty, felt it could have been cooked a tad more. Accompanying sauce great blend. Food was yummy as usual. Please staff, definitely will continue as long as they sustain these delicious meals. Lastly I asked to see bottle of dessert wine to determine if the same I had while in Italy. The bottle was different but what a surprise asked if we would like to sample. Yuuum it definitely tasted like the one in Italy. May need to order next time I visit.

My friend and I were going to meet at the start time of Sleep No More. I was free before then to grab a delicious dinner for myself. I literally stumbled upon Birrichino. And I was glad I did. A somewhat earlier dinner, they were getting crowded by the time I left. Upon entering, I couldn't help but noticing the cozy and Christmas-y welcoming atmosphere. The rustic, exposed brick added to the charm. Service (via Jordan and thank you) was attentive. I kept it simple and quick. I started with a smooth Chianti as a warm bread basket made its way to my table. The aroma of the bread coupled with the olive oil was quite good. Shortly after placing my order of Shrimp Arrabiata, the pasta arrived. A hearty portion that included 6 large shrimp in a spicy sauce allowed me to savor its deliciousness. Oh my, it was really good. I wish I had a plate of it now as I write this review. No time for dessert or anything else, I quietly and happily left this charming restaurant to meet my friend. Excellent and looking forward to returning.

I came here for dinner with a small group of friends. Our waitress was super friendly and sweet. They provided a generous amount of complimentary bread, sesame breadsticks, and olive oil for the table. We loved the arugula pear salad. The blue cheese, walnuts, and slightly sweet dressing paired perfectly together. For my main, I had the pappardelle ai funghi. It had a good amount of mushrooms and nice flavor from the shallots and rich cream sauce. My friends also enjoyed the orecchiette salumeria biellese and said the linguine nere was very flavorful. Their bottles of red wine start around $46. We enjoyed the Chianti. Though the restaurant is in a crowded neighborhood, it felt very under the radar so it's a nice option for a low key, satisfying Italian meal.

This is the last restaurant we ate at from our trip in Chelsea / Manhattan NYC. Biricchino Italian family run restaurant that open in 1987 has been in business for over 30 years, the owner Salumeria B. started out serving the community by making homemade cured meats plus sausages. The bar is right there on the right as you enter, we were led o our table, the table's and the floor are made of cobblestone marble, the decor of the walls is rustic bricks..."so Italian looking" Our waitress brought an assortment of bread with bread sticks along with some olive oil, we ordered pear salad, Crosini con Fontina, Fettuccine Cacio e pepe, Shrimp Arrabbiata, Custard tart, Tiramisu and last a couple glasses of Mosacto wine, all of our food was very flavorful. We were here on a Wednesday night and the restaurant wasn't crowded at all, but we had to wait for our food a pretty long time. The name Biricchino meaning is mischievous / naughty.

Great place in Chelsea for an Italian meal. Apparently the owners started out making Italian cold cuts so I thought either the sausages or salumeria plate was a good start. We chose the sausages and boy were they good. We ordered the small platter an md it was still a huge amount. All the sausages we obviously freshly made and full of labor with different spices. The platter had Aragua and grilled onions. A must get. We also got of their house salads which was wonderfully fresh and nicely garnished. For an entre we had the pappardelle Al fungi. This dish is jus mason yne blend of the heavy cream, pancetta and mushrooms with the pasta is just perfect. Truly an outstanding dish. Today on. Wednesday we found only 3 other tables occupied so this not the NYC I remember but the dining room is very mice with brick walls and granite tables and floor. They have a nice wine list l, cocktails and a few Italian beers. The cannoli was the only semi miss. It was just ok. All around a very good place to get your Italian fix

I liked how they organized the menu by country/geography to facilitate an understanding of the flavor profiles. I got two of the date & fig-flavored smoked whisky drinks and it was a well made, balanced, and very good. Not cheap at some $25 or something, but middle of Manhattan with some creative ingredients means I guess it is what it is. Servers seemed a bit annoyed to have to deal with us shortly before close as I think they were hoping to usher people out and close down maybe a little early. One the one hand I get it, on the other hand you've got two paying customers on a slow night.

They're experimental, whimsical, delicious, and worth every penny. My absolute favorite is Child of Light, and my BF's was High Frequency Device. The interior was dimly lit, with a couple of candles per table or counter. It's a perfect place for a date night. And while there may be a wait on busier nights, it's always worth the wait. We were sat at the bar once and were very well taken care of by our bartender, Nikola. It was a Sunday night, so it wasn't terribly busy. It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
