Yum!! We stopped at Biff's for a quick breakfast and loved our bagel sandwiches! I ordered an everything bagel with egg and cheese! So good! The bagel had a nice crunch from the toast and was still that yummy chewy bagel texture! They don't skimp on the cheese or egg! Sandwich kept me full for hours! My boyfriend got the same thing but with bacon, he loved his too! Mentioned how when he took bites, the insides didn't slid out like most bagel shop sandwiches! A definite staple of Flagstaff. If you were going to go to this location, be ready to wait at least half an hour. But when you wait, it'll be well worth it. They have a lot of options on their bagels and cream cheese, the staff is very efficient and quick and try to get you out of there as fast as possible. It is in the downtown of Flagstaff so expect lots of people to go there. It's a great way to start your day with a good bagel and a good coffee or juice. If you want something quick, unfortunately this is not a place to go. But if you do decide to wait, you will not be disappointed. read more

The food is always very yummy! The drinks are just okay for the price. The service is fine, it's nothing special though. I wish they took orders faster because there is almost always a line. I miss all of the photos of the dogs, the place definitely has less character now. The part I don't like the most here is that there are no chairs. It's been like 2 years since Covid when they removed them, why is there still no where to sit? They advertise as being an Internet cafe but there's no where to sit down and work. I waited in the line outside with my mask on. When I got into the store, I walked around to look at the dog photos. The Owner(apparently "Biff's wife not wearing a mask) then committed a most egregious faux pas(to a Jewish man from the east coast where the modern bagel was invented)snapped at me "GET BACK IN LINE!". I told her "SAY PLEASE". She refused so I walked out without buying anything. Rudeness is a deal breaker for me, I lived in LA and can always get great bagels elsewhere. I was probably the only Jewish customer there and my expert opinion is bagels and nazi style store owner don't mix(see Seinfeld "Soup Nazi" episode for reference). Also, it is a violation of bagel business ethical principles to name a store "Biffs"...too over the top gentile marring bagel credibility in a store. Einsteins-yes. Noahs-yes but to call a store "Biff's Bagels" violates fundamentals of Bagelology. Note: If a gentile has a Jewish name like Daniel then it is fine to use his name for the store. If his/her name is Chip, Heinrich, Ford, Isabella or Biff then refrain from using your name in favor of something else like Factory, name of city Bagels etc. This is some advice for any entrepreneurs out there desiring to open a Bagel shop. I was willing to ignore this if the bagels and service were good but alas the owner acted just like the infamous soup nazi of Seinfeld. I should add the shop sign is honestly the worst I've ever seen on a Bagel restaurant. It appears to be the original from the mid 1990s and still says "Internet Cafe" and there are no clunky computers there with internet for bagel customers. Unfortunately, this place was busy so why is this guy Biff so cheap he won't buy a decent sign?!!! Not recommended. read more

Really enjoyed this place. *Atmosphere* is very comfortable and homey feeling. Love the walls covered with pictures of dogs. I give it an 8.5 out of 10. *Service* was good. A little slow, disorganized, but still good and pretty friendly. People are down to earth. I give it an 8 out of 10. The *food* was very good. Had a bagel with cream cheese, a blue corn scone, ice tea and coffee. All were good, definitely home made and high quality. Bagel size was a little small, not like some big NY style bagels, but soft and fresh with lots of good cream cheese. I give the food an 9 out of 10. *Overall* I give Biff's an 8.75 out of 10. Value, quality, service and atmosphere make this place fun, comfortable and definitely worth trying. I look forward to my next visit to Biff's. I recommend you visit as well. read more

I used to come here all the time. Before covid, you could actually sit down at a table inside. You could admire all the photos of peoples beloved pet dogs covering every inch of wall space. It was cash only. The bagels were made with love and it was a flagstaff staple to stop in at biffs on your way to do whatever morning activity. But now.... Now I can barely stand to walk in here. All the dog photos are gone, they never put chairs back in after the pandemic. CHAIRS for christs sake!! All the teenagers who do everything behind the counter are anywhere from annoying to straight up rude. But the worst part is not even their bagels are good anymore. I ask for light cream cheese spread every time I come here and find that they piled it on even more than usual just to spite me I guess? Without fail they mess up my order. The coffee is bland and they put too much milk in their espresso drinks to hide the terrible taste of their coffee. Biff would be rolling over in his grave if he has seen what became of his namesake restaurant. Go to fat bagels instead. Much better bagels there. read more

These bagels are AWESOME! It is hard to find good bagels and Biff's has got it goin on! After seeing they had salt bagels last week, I decided that I needed to check them out! 2 stars based on service. Ordered from a really nice gal at the counter. A couple minutes later, some brat at a cash register said, "you can pay here." She mumbled something...we asked what she said. I guess she was saying, "what did you order?" Finally she angerly said, "this is the place where you tell me what you ordered and then you pay." We were pretty taken back. Sorry, didn't know you couldn't communicate with your co-workers so we didn't have to repeat our order. Also, we could of told you anything and paid much less but whatever... Ironically, they FORGOT our order and it took about 20 minutes while ten people got their orders before us. Guess it's not that slick of a system, huh ladies? Bagels were 4.5 stars. read more

The food was not that great; I've never had a more tasteless Aciago Bagel. I ordered the sandwich with bacon and cheese and the only thing I could taste was a hint of bacon. My wife ordered an aciago bagel with cream cheese, and her bagel was equally as tasteless while the huge amount of cream cheese was overpowered by a single herb. The orange juice wasn't too bad. Past the food, the service was somewhat apathetic. Our cashier seemed to rush us, but wasn't overly rude. The second person to help us wasn't personal at all, and it seemed like all the employees were very robotic as they had no emotion or apparent desire to be there. Not worth the large sum of money dished out for a bagel, a bagel sandwich, and 2 drinks. Won't be back and I'd encourage others not to go either. read more

I love Biff's. It's dog friendly and all the art, decor, and logo is proof of that! I always get friendly service and my order is always correct. Wow that was a good bagel sandwich for me! Stopped here for a day trip to flagstaff. I got the veggie delight sandwich without olives and with veggie cream cheese on a mish mash bagel. It was very delicious! I especially liked the walnuts and avocado on the sandwich. My boyfriend got cheese, bacon, and egg sandwiches on plain bagels. He wasn't as big of a fan of his as I was of mine. Just said it tasted a little off to him. One downside is that they only accept cash, but we came prepared! We loved looking at the dog memorial pictures too, though they did make us sad! Cool place, I'd stop by again. read more

We stopped to grab a couple of bagel sandwiches. I got a simple breakfast sandwich with egg and a meat. I chose the Canadian bacon. My husband got a Reuben. The bagels were pretty good tasting but the sandwiches as a whole were just ok. The Reuben was a bit better with a little more flavor. The breakfast sandwich was rather plain tasting. A perfect location and nice cafe space for a grab-and-go or quick sit down breakfast and coffee. The menu is solid, with classic and interesting choices for bagels with smear or sandwiches. The flow of this space is very odd and confusing for a new customer, like me. There are two counters, one for ordering food, the next for drinks, but that is not obvious and the way it's operating is not very natural feeling. The wait for two bagel sandwiches felt excessive, I didn't time it, and the morning was steadily busy. The coffee was good, but again, the set up for drip coffee was complicated in a way that it need not have been. The experience felt like something Gordon Ramsey would come in a fix quickly with the flow, like maybe it just needs a small revamp to help really move things along. Regardless, the bagels themselves were a bit disappointing as well. They were very dry and chewy, and not at all what we were hoping. Overall this place seems like a beloved local place that has been in business for a long time and could maybe use a slight refresh. read more

Maybe it's where I have been but this made me look at bagels in a different way. They specialize in only bagels and they truly put focus into making the best one possible. Staying in the area and I get there between 7:15-8 to make sure they have full selection of bagels and spreads. I've seen people buy bagfuls so they obviously are a thing! They don't skimp the spread also which is very much appreciated. An awesome fresh bagel w/ homemade spread and coffee...solid way to start the day. The bagels tend to be decent but the level of service and urgency at this place has to be some of the worst I have ever witnessed in my 26 years on this earth. If you like being hungry and witnessing a bunch of employees work as slow as they can to make you miserable then this is just the place for you! I had the very best everything bagel (or as they call it- "Mish Mash" bagel) at Biff's. The best advice I can give is to go early! Their bagels are best when fresh and the popular flavors tend to go fast. I've had their Cinnamon Crunch bagel which is delicious if you enjoy sweet bagels although I personally lean more towards the savory bagels which led me to try their Mish Mash. Asiago is a must try too! Their bagels have a crunchy outer shell with a chewy inside that leaves you wanting more. They make bagels just how they are supposed to be made. And side bar- if you're a big fan of the savory topping on their Mish Mash bagels, then they even sell the seasoning as a stand alone so you can sprinkle it on your own at-home creations. I love sprinkling it on my avocado toast at home to add some extra flavor. Anyway, Biff's is a MUST TRY if you're ever in Flag or even just passing through around breakfast/brunch time. The bagels are delicious as I hope I've made clear and I can't forget to mention that the inside of their shop is covered in photos of dogs! You won't regret coming here! read more
